They charged $350 for a Jeep starter (it’s $80 at auto zone), and 1.9 hours for labor at $140 per hour. Over $600 for a repair that typically costs $300 and takes much less time. Stay away if you can.

I thought Valvoline was an awful business but THIS PLACE is something else!! I made an appointment for an oil change, was told my car would be ready in 35 minutes. Came back 35 minutes later to my car not ready, no update, and nobody even at the front desk. Waited and waited and waited. 40 additional minutes pass by and finally an employee (Kyle) comes out. All he says is “sorry that took long, they’re finishing up now”. He charged me for my service, then walked out of the building and left in his car. Another 25 minutes pass STILL DO NOT HAVE MY CAR BACK, NO UPDATE, NO ONE EVEN WORKING HERE IT SEEMS.My whole experience for a simple oil change took almost two hours. I had to wait almost an hour for someone to even realize they had a customer here and come out to the lobby; and when someone was there I heard the phone ring and go to voicemail at least 4 separate times. Horrible and unprofessional business. Will NEVER go back and will make sure others know to stay away!!

I bought a used car that needed some TLC. Someone referred me to Mike at Midas in Fairfield, CT. They provided great customer service as well as doing a great job on my car.

Made an appointment to get my brakes taken care of and brought my car in during the drop off time around 10:00. Received no update or phone call about the status of my car until I call after waiting 5 hours. Was told paper work was put on desk, put on hold, then informed that they just brought in my car and started looking at it. Received a rushed phone call half an hour later with my quote and no indication if my car would have to stay over night in the shop because of parts. I called 20 minutes before close to confirm they were keeping my car overnight (received no phone call or update) to be told that my car was finished.I believe that if I didn’t call and ask for updates about my car that I would of never received them. Working on the front brakes of my vehicle should not have taken all day and cost as much as it did. I was highly displeased by the respect and customer service I received at this location. I felt neglected and disrespected as a female customer.

After sending my car to Meineke back in April I left feeling like my car was not fixed. Once I spoke to Ricky at Midas I immediately knew he was honest and going to fix what needed to be done. He told me about coupons and called me throughout the day to tell me about the progress. I am very happy with the service and I think Ricky is a great mechanic.

Quoted for $600 on the phone with Mike, get to the store and he is charging $900.Separately quoted $1200 on the phone, get to the store and Mike claims the original quote was $650.When confronted about the discrepancy, he just began typing numbers into his calculator to reach the number that “made sense.” Mike (the store manager) became extremely combative and rude when confronted. The rumor is true that Midas takes advantage of young females who don’t know much about cars. Stay away!

I called at 8 AM on a Saturday and spoke to Rick. He was so welcoming and professional during our conversation. He assured me that we will fix my issue and that everything will be alright. He was able to get me in on a busy Saturday morning and as soon as I arrived took me right in. Rick and his technican quickly found my problem and presented my options including finances. Rick was so friendly and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions, and keep me comfortable while I waited (offered me water, a magazine to read).I never been treated so well at any car repair shop. I cant recommend this place enough!!!!While I was there weeks ago, I was advised of a potential problem and within two weeks the problem with the team at Midas warned me about surfaced. They quickly took my car in and fixed the problem. They did so affordably. They do such a great job!!Update: I was told I needed a new battery, after having the car for four years and still had original battery, Rick gave me a follow up call, taking the initiative to find a more affordable battery. I went in immediately and the battery was installed quickly at a more affordable price! So grateful!!

So today I stopped in to inquire about getting my oil changed in my 2015 Subaru Forester. The front desk manager Rick was super awesome in guiding me to decide what kind of oil change my vehicle needed and then I decided to ask about my breaks, since I had heard them screeching . It turns out I needed new break pads and rotors on my front breaks for sure and I could wait on my back breaks . Not once did I feel pressured by Rick to do all of it at once and on that day~ he gave me fair options and was patient with my decisions etc. The prices were super fair and he saved me money and now I feel safe on the road with my children. I would definitely recommend this Midas for superb and friendly service! And thanks again Rick!!!!!

Came here 2 separate times and had great service both times. Audi would have had me wait 2 weeks to get my car in, but Mike, the manager, got me in right after I called him. For the first time at Midas I felt I wasnt being told to repair things that did not need an immediate replacement. Brian explained everything cautiously with honesty.

He said he normally can’t do that but he understood I have a long commute to work and during this difficult global pandemic he was willing to assist me. Do not use this company it’s a rip off, and they also caused problems while fixing my car that I found out when I finally went to a different mechanic. They literally used scotch tape on an electrical wire in my engine they tore while installing a new starter. When I went back the next day because my engine light was now on they said it wasn’t them, which my new mechanic confirmed had to have been because it was cut, not normal wear and tear. This place ended up costing me more by using them. Not to mention the wire they broke they tried to tell me it would cost between 5 and 6 hundred to fix meanwhile went to a ma and pa shop that charged me 200. I can’t stand when people take advantage, these people will.

Fairfield tire told me they were too busy. I met Mike and Rick and they gave me a ride back home as well as a coupon on my oil change. Mike and Rick just earned a customer for life. Thanks Midas.
