I was very impressed by how professional and efficient this company was. I remodeled my kitchen, removing tile counter tops, replacing the old kitchen sink and fixtures, dishwasher and stove. I purchased a package deal through Home Depot where the installer (Duracite) disconnects and reconnects the plumbing, demolished the tile and took it away. The Duracite installers took 4 hours to do the total demo/install! We have 64 sq ft. of counter top space, and these guys were fast and did a fantastic job. I was concerned about how the area where the old back splash would look after the demo. I ended up doing a very tiny bit of speckling and touch up painting. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the new water filtration system we just purchased was placed in the back of the cabinet/plumbing under the new kitchen sink. It would have been impossible to replace the filter when the time comes. I called the installer to come back ten minutes after they left, and they fixed the problem without a hassle. The granite we installed (white springs 3 cm.) is beautiful, seamless, and sits right on top of our cabinets. No planks of wood needed underneath, with that thickness. I wish I could upload before and after pictures, because it would be worth it to see them! Thank you Duracite for a job well done!!! Bonnie
The two workers that installed our granite counter tops were very business like. They were neat and did a great job. They explained the warranty to us and my wife and I were pleased with the entire job. Thank you guys. A great job.
This companys work truck illegally passes me on the shoulder in Jameson Canyon everyday and then cuts in when there is no more room. Usually he is going about 80 MPH while the rest of us are lawfully going 10 MPH. Love the fact that the sign on the side of the truck is letting people know how crappy your employees are. Well played idiots.
Concord Location - Let me start off with that Ive probably only given 2 yelp reviews in my life. I own a business, I understand things go wrong and the holiday season is crazy but the customer service at this place is beyond abysmal. They’ve repeatedly lied to us. Ive never had a company lie to me, and then continue to lie. Spend a couple extra thousand dollars and get a reputable company with high quality products. Bad quality and even worse customer service.
We had an excellent experience with Duracite. Every step of the way was handled by excellent staff with the final stage awesome. We highly recommend this firm. Even their headquarter staff was gracious, efficient and helpful.
Worst dealing I ever had with any company what so ever! Their communication is atrocious, their customer service is kind but inefficient, and the product was so-so. Its been over a year and Im still dealing with their horrible service. Sure the granite countertops are good, thick slabs, but the island counter top was cut/measured wrong and now we have to just deal with it or pay for more granite to replace it. I had to texture, paint and seal the wall under the counter top myself. The completed job was, well, not complete. They damaged our dish washer and then when they came back (about a month later) they had the wrong part. The tile guy had a bad attitude and was demeaning to my wife. They used some new chalk to mark the granite for cutting and the chalk wouldnt come off for nearly a year. When I send them an email or leave a message I get no response for days if not sometimes weeks. Im still trying to get them to come back and replace a broken faucet and soap dispenser. Just today they completely no showed to complete this minor job. I will NEVER use them again and if I hear somebody else is going to use them, I will do what ever I can to dissuade them.
We had our kitchen counter tops remodeled by Duracite through a Costco kiosk order. We met the consultant, Tracy, and we arranged to visit their warehouse in Fairfield. About two days after signing the contract, we received schedules for measurement and installation. The work was done by two installers, Eliseo and Eliseo Jr. It took two different days because we had to have our bay window structure fixed. The installers came within the time they promised. They were knowledgeable and worked very hard. They kept us informed and communicated well with us when there were things that needed to be verified during the job. Additionally, it was nice that Tracy took some time to stop by on the day of installation and also visited us again a week after the work was complete. There was some confusions when they scheduled the second installation day. Furthermore, we noticed that during demolition, the installers did not cover the sides of our wood cabinets to protect them from dust. The installers should have been directed to cover the cabinets with tarp before beginning demolition.Overall the whole process was done professionally, including the scheduling and the actual installation. Costco also did a good job staying on top of our order. During the pause in installation while we fixed our bay window, Nelson, a project manager at Costco, requested Duracite to come reinstall our cooktop and sink temporarily so that we could still use our kitchen. We are quite satisfied with Costco and Duracite.K & D
Duracite (Fairfield) always communicated with me. They made sure I was 100% satisfied with their work and the job. If not they made corrections. Keep in mind that Granite is a natural stone and imperfections or damage can happen. They will make it right for you.
Duracite did a great job in my kitchen. I have a 1949 country style home with original cabinetry and an original 1920s farmhouse sink. Duracites measurements were accurate and the installation was done beautifully. I am very happy with my countertops. I recommend this material to anyone.
The customer service and quality of workmanship at Duracite is horrible. Our experience would take too long to even describe. Do not use this company.
Extremely happy with my new granite countertops. I shopped around and ended up going with Home Depot who contracts with Duracite. I was able to use the same marble I had already picked out and saved about $2000 from the next bid. Plus, Home Depot has a 24 month no interest deal. Awesome. We also saved money by removing the old countertops ourselves and leveling the surfaces. It would have cost over $1000 if we had them do it. Duracite also worked with me to get an earlier install date (there was a two-month wait!) and the installers showed up early, did a great job quickly and left everything clean and neat. We just need to add the trim, hook up the sink and were in business. I couldnt be happier.
Duracite just installed my new kitchen countertop, in one day! Beautiful work, courteous installers, and the final effect just as promised by Tracey Wood, who guided me through the whole process. [I purchased the counter through Costco]Every step was explained in detail, and followed to the letter. The one small error [of pre-measurement] was followed up within a week, all in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. If I had to do it over, I would come right back to Duracite!
I have never posted a review before and have never been as frustrated before with a company. I will also note that I am a small business owner and know that I would not last long if my work was this bad and my communication with my customers was this poor.Countertops installed improperly about 10 months ago and the job still is not anywhere close to professional even after repeated attempts to deal with them and Home Depot. They have been out several times but there are still issues with the countertops. Just poor workmanship that they tried to correct (the last guy really tried but he was not given all the material he needed to completed the job. I have communicated with them many, many time over these past ten months, including recent pictures I have sent to them of the job, and they just dont seem to care. Beware, Beware, Beware.
Worst company to work with, i dont understand why Home Depot still have them in their account. Communications between installer, scheduler and even manager will not connect right!! Totally upsetting, been dealing with them since December 2017... its more than halfway of Feb 2018 my backsplash is still not completed. ... will never recommend this company to anyone.. a total nightmare...
Get it before its gone.
WOW! I ordered the Graphite Granite color solid surface countertop from the Home Depot. The customer service at Duracite was excellent. Both the office staff and the installer were great. I wasnt home for the measurement but my friend said he was very cool too. Mike the installer was great with my dogs, courteous, conscientious and professional. My counter is beautiful. You cant tell where the seam is, I know where it is and cant find it. He installed my new sink and made it look great on my old cabinets. He leveled everything (not an easy task in my house) Installed the backsplash then polished everything beautifully.I definitely recommend you use Duracite for your countertop needs.
Helpful staff to help you with remodeling kitchen and bath.
We had our counter-tops replaced in the kitchen and 3 bathrooms via a Costco kiosk in June 2015 (yes, over a year ago). The sales clerk was very enthusiastic and stressed how much training all of the personnel receive, so we thought we were in good hands.Well, the first day not only did the staff arrive late but they sent only 1 person! The rest of the regular crew were missing in action with no explanation from the person who showed up nor from the company, and since I dont speak Spanish and the installation crew was all Hispanic, there were definitely some communication issues. The rest of the crew FINALLY showed up in the afternoon of the 1st day of a 2 day installation, and the protection from dust we were to receive was virtually non-existent.The crew worked their butts off to do a good job, BUT the company had not ordered enough sinks (we had a total of 5 bathroom sinks) so there was no way to complete the job within 2 days that had been scheduled. The only place we had at the end of the first day was the downstairs sink--nothing in the kitchen so had to go out to eat for a few days for all meals. The salesperson had said that the crew could put in customer provided, point-of-use water heaters for no extra charge. We picked up 2 hot water re-circulating pumps called Chili-Peppers and had the boxes open only to the point of having all the instructions available for the demolition/installation crew. Well, they had never installed them before and rather than say they didnt know how, they installed them to the best of their ability, and threw away parts that should have been retained! They function ok, but their installation under the 2 sinks was far from optimal, to include tying up the hose which was to allow the kitchen faucet to be pulled out and used as a sprayer. The crew did their best and put in long hours--and still had to go to another job after they finished ours at 8pm! That is ridiculous hours for these guys! The final clean-up was not the best, the dishwasher was not anchored, the wood trim near the stove wasnt put back, the hoses were all tangled below the kitchen sink, and the kitchen faucet dripped. Had to keep pinging the company to get someone to come back and finish the job. Thankfully we financed this work so could hold off payment until they finished the job--which took another month or so--and the dishwasher STILL wasnt anchored properly once they finally sent someone, but we were so desperate to be finished with them were putting up with a far from satisfactory job. There was no follow-up from Duracite to see if we were satisfied with the work, which you would think is a critical part of Customer Service, especially when we spent close to $20K on the job.Thankfully, the quality of the quartz counter-tops (Cambria brand) are excellent. Just frustrated with Duracite as I had them replace counter-tops in a previous home via Home Depot and they were perfect, so I know this company can do the right thing. Just sorry they didnt follow through on all their promises.
They have closed and are liquidating and everything has been marked down dramatically. Crazy low prices on marble slabs and sinks etc.
