I love this shop for the sheer volume of fabric they have available. The store is not very organized but that is the beauty of it- give yourself time to wander around and see what you can find. From my experience this shop mostly stocks woven fabrics and few knits (or perhaps I missed them!). There are some notions on the shelves- zippers, decorative ribbon- but if you need something specific you will have to ask the owner who keeps lots of small items (hook and eyes, needles, etc) in the counter. All the fabric I have purchased was very inexpensive and I look forward to visiting again!

I heard about this place from a friend and had a very pleasant experience. I am used to shopping for fabric at Joannes where everything is organized so I wasnt sure I was going to like this place. It was so worth it! Beautiful fabrics at a very inexpensive price and the owners were very sweet and helpful. Will definitely be going again!

Love the selection at the store and the prices are great! Picked up a beautiful silver blue brocade to make into a ballgown!

I keep going back. It’s disorganized but the owners are friendly and it’s a and emporium of treasures you just have to be unpretentious and not and jerk. You get rock bottom prices and the best place to find fabrics in the dmv.

Beautiful authentic fabrics for anyone who loves finding unique fabrics

The guy is extremely rude very disrespectful very nasty he will not let you in his store for more than 15 or 10 minutes he will tell you right away get out from my store even if there is string in the fabric and you don’t want it he will force you to buy, and if you don’t buy it . Then he will say I will not sell you anything the place is super tiny and on unorganized his wife is super nice but he’s so bad communication please do something about his store! I wish I couldn’t give him a one star either he does not deserve it at all! If someone delete this that mean I speak the truth and no one like to speak the truth!

I love this place. If you are accustomed to shopping in the NY garment district you will probably love it. If you are accustomed to Joanns you will likely hate it. The fabric is so inexpensive the people working there arent really expecting to help you shop. If you know fabric and are polite and undemanding you will have a pleasant experience. Its full of treasures.

As a former womens wear designer and Couturier, I can assure you Vien Dong Fabrics is a wonderful place to purchase fabrics at extremely reasonable prices.

I don’t understand why my review was deleted. But this place does not deserve even 1 star. Very unsafe, the owner is very unprofessional and rude.
