When we walked in nobody looked at us and we thought we were in a bad situation but after a while a woman smiled and she seemed interested in hearing what we wanted to order. So we told her what we wanted to eat and we sat at a table she didnt brought out the cakes and that coffee and it actually wasnt bad at all. It was just that first impression of being ignored by the one guy who seem to be working behind the counter without any acknowledgement. The place was clean and the music was good. I would recommend anyone go here to have coffee and cake and I would also return.

Iam sharing my experience to the public, they are so expensive and waitress are rude, if dont order bottle charging $500 they dont give to you a table so I wouldnt recommended this lounge for enjoyment.... I paid for 2drink $45, this is not acceptable, dont go there, their riip off your money within a second without enjoyed....

If you appreciate delicious coffee - particularly Ethiopian coffee, why not visit a place that is expert in it? The price is reasonable and my cappuccino was delicious. Ill definitely come back.

Twist Cafe is a small Cafe/ restaurant that offers some of the best Ethiopian entrees as well as Juice and desserts.Amongesy the plethora of Ethiopian delicacy near by Twist stands out for this simple reasons.1. They have a limited menu which means whatever they make they make it exceptionally well.2. And perhaps the most important part of it, the people treat you like you are at home. The stuff is literally composed of the nicest people in the world.3. They are very reasonably priced. As much as the plethora of Ethiopian delicacy in the area some of the most common cristicisms I hear from people is the price. Twist provides excellent service and meal with a fair price wanting you to go back all the time.Bonus.My personal favourite is how the food is always served with Ethiopian Injera. This completly change your Ethiopian experience as the Injera is the most deciding factor in whether you like the dish or not. The Injera made in America (and no offense to those who make it) cant in any ways offer a true Ethiopian experience.If you make it this far reading my review you are wasting time.Go enjoy your food.

The food was ok. But let’s talk about there service they only had one waiter so there was no other option that to deal with that one lady. Her service was awful we asked for recommendations but she didn’t give us any, and she had a attitude. Wouldn’t recommend this place for people that are looking for a great service and people that are in a rush

Awesome place! Great coffee!

Poor customer service. We waited more than an hour to order, but no one showed up and decided to go other place. The waiters focused only the outside area and customer sitted inside dont get attention. I recommend the owner to train its employee and assign supervisor during busy hours. Eye contact is very important, nonetheless the employees dont care about their customers and no body asked us why we were leaving the caffe without getting the service.

Excellent coffee, you can really tell a genuine coffee place when their brewed coffee is delicious on its own. Very nice seating area and chairs outside too. Friendly service. I will definitely be back and try more. The sign isnt that easy to see but its the same building as the animal hospital and right across the street from the storage place, large parking lot in front.

The most slowest waitress of the all time . Every time I go there, I have to wait for so long to even pay. They never check their customers at all . The food is good but service is awful. Don’t ever go if your hungry or on rush .

The place is decent and the environment is good also. But it took as 20 mins for someone to get our order. So been just sitting there waiting for our food and 40 mins had passed. Finally we got our food. The food was ok but not the best. When ever we need something when we ask the waitress she would come with this mad face. Like I am paying for it so just get what I need. I do not think I will ever come again. The one that made me be so disappointed at this place how disrespectful they are to other customers. It’s a shame.

What I love about the DMV area are the international specialty eateries such as Twist. But at times the lack of best business practices negates the Anthony Bordain rush.I’m giving them a low rating because they couldn’t offer their signature drink “Espris” during our visit.My group of diaspora Ethiopians came specifically for their reputed “Espris”, a delightful melody of fruit presented in clear glass, iconic to Addis Abeba (Capitol of Ethiopia). We arrived on a Sunday at about 5pm and were told that due to demand they could only make the mix smoothie and not the “Espris”. I was bewildered since there were empty tables around us. I ended up taking a sip of a friend’s knock-off Espris.Parking: freeAgain, Love Immigrants (Ethiopian community) for introducing delicious treats to the States. Just stay consistent, pls.
