Walked in with a plumbing part that Home Depot and Lowes didnt carry. A woman asked me what I was looking for right when I walked in and she directed me to Aisle 28A and told me the guys there would take care of me. I did as she said, and they did as she said. Got the perfect part, for cheaper than I had found online, but I KNEW it was the right part. This place has every little nut or bolt, or Texas shaped cast iron pan, or 30 Gallon pot, or whatever you need. They are all helpful and eager to find what youre looking for.
Turner Hardware is the bomb of hardware stores. The personal service is something you dont find anywhere else these days in the hardware realm. When you walk in the door there is someone there waiting to ask you what they can help you with. When you tell them I need a whatchamacalit for my thingamabob they know what you are talking about. We once went there to get a drain cover for an unusual drain. They didnt have one in stock but the guy that was helping us gave us his cell phone number and told us to text him a photo and hed order it. They ordered it and we went to pick it up. They charged us a whopping $4! No thats not the fee to special order the product, that is the total price. Simply amazing.
Great store and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Miles ahead of Home Depot and Lowes! I could have stayed there all day looking at all the cool and helpful items. If you need it theyve got it!
I have used Turner hardware since 1967 when they were on Royal ln. Absolutely the best hardware store in Dallas.... Still a great hardware store with slightly trimmed inventory ( eliminated some rarely sold items which I sympathize with) my friends and I used to have a joke about Turners hardware; if you went in asking for a stainless steel, metric m12, grade 8 hardened banjo bolt, with a hex head, they would ask do you want that in left, our right hand thread. No kidding, Turner was like that.
I love this place! At one shopping, I bought corn for the squirrels, a large AMERICAN made metal trash can (like we only had in the old days...) and a Mr Bill stretch doll (Sat Night Live) toy! oohhhhhhnooooooooooo! Plus, a hard to find candy bar by the register......Love the inventory!!!
This is a GREAT HARDWARE STORE. A real hardware store. Not only are the employees friendly, they are all extremely knowledgeable about virtually everything in the store. If they dont have it, they will get it or they know where to send you for weird things such as leather air pump seals for a hand pump for a 1924 Stanley Steam Car. I wont go anywhere else!
This place has everything! service is great, if you are lost or looking for something very specific then they will always help you! I love this hardware store and they carry everything I have ever needed!
If you cant find it here it doesnt exist :-)
The coolest store Ive ever been to! The staff was so friendly, not pushy. Anything and everything you can think of for your home they have!
Wonderful people deserving of your business! If you loathe having to always buy pre-packaged parts beyond your quantity needs at the big box places, just know that you can buy screws, nuts and most other small hardware items by the piece here if you prefer. Excellent inventory in most things anyone might need for the home, car, yard or pool. Great cleaning supplies section; excellent electrical, plumbing and tool departments (great Dremel bit selection!) and good paint and adhesives stock. They have many hard (and sometimes impossible) to find items not accessible anywhere and can even order things for you they might not have on the floor or advise you where else you might locate it. Knowledgeable floor clerks who really can assist you and answer all your questions. Relaxed pace and staff demeanor. No hassle return policy. Its a real old school hardware store that many of us remember from years past but, truthfully, is almost non-existent today. As a homeowner, youll find this store a treasure trove of goodies (from small to large) with attendant expertise. Yes, youll pay more as a rule for the items you need, but its worth the time and trouble lost elsewhere fruitlessly searching them out and for the sheer enjoyment youll get of shopping a valuable neighborhood store offering choice, convenience and service. If you thought the old Elliots Hardware store in Dallas was good, this place and these folks are better!
This is the hardware store to go to when you dont want to make several trips. They will have it, whatever it is.UPDATE- SEPTEMBER 2015>>>Alas, Turner has been acquired by Westlake ACE and is no longer a decent hardware store.
Great project hardware store. Lots of little parts and better prices than the big boys.
Great selection and staff, and near a bank, grocery, laundromat, and other places to get daily chores done.
Wonderful store, if your thinking about going, then stop thinking, and just go, you wont regret it.
Friendly and helpful! Many hard to find items to fix it instead of replacing it.
What really fixed my eye on this place were the prices. They have so many items that are very discounted and may come in practical on some days.
Love Turners, great selection of unique items and hard to find fittings for older houses. This is my choice for Christmas shopping place for the men in my life.
I often end up going here because they have industrial adhesives/industrial tapes and many electrical components (power tool and automotive circuit breakers, etc) that just cant be found at the big box hardware stores.
A GREAT STORE THEY HAVE PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING YOU NEED!!!!
Great place to find unique or hard to find parts.
Its actually a real hardware store. Lots of hard to find parts.
If you want it, here it is, come and get it!
Has everything except computers and guns.
Turner Hardware is a handymans dream come true!
