Meh. Theyve got a couple friendly employees but theyve also got not so friendly employees. The stores kind of dimly lit and always seems to be out of something I needed. They are doing some remodeling right now - like literally in the middle of it. Maybe thatll will push them to a 4 or 5 star experience.

Convinient location of the store which is on 8 Mile & Merriman in Farmington Hills. Store under renovation and will be closed for 4 days starting April 12th per the cashier. Love shopping at Family Dollar.

I have no complaints about the store. I know what I want when shopping. They usually have the items. The lines are never long and customer service is usually good.

They have a good variety of well-priced items. They are more expensive than your standard dollar store because of their better selection. The store manager Angela is committed to helping her customers and making sure the store has what we need.

The people who work here are amazing! Blew a brake line at the light and made it safely in the parking lot. I was very touched by the care and concern of the assistant manager on staff at the time. She took very good care of me in my moment of panic. I will definitely be shopping here. I am so very thankful.

Only half of customers were wearing masks and no employee said anything let them shop check out and even greeted the new customers with NO masks friendly I will NOT BE BACK. NO STARS

I always go here. The cashiers are always sweet to me. I love this place. So much better than having to go to Walmart or some bigger place. Perfect if youre out of something and have too much social anxiety to go to a huge store. Prices are great.

The store is dirty every time Ive shopped there. They must get all the left overs because they are no where near like other Family Dollars Ive been to. They have a slim selection of goods.

There always stocked when ive been in this store. The store is always clean and staff is working doing something, not standing around shooting the time away . in other words ive never been standing at the counter wondering if anyone was working there . Fix your hours. Seriously. Ive come here 4 times in a week and every time the doors are locked. Online it says the hours are 8-10 every day. I came at 9:04 last night and an employee said Were closed, we open at 8am tomorrow. Its now 8:15am and the doors are locked.Edited to update: three years later and theyre still never open on time!

I drive at least 10 miles to shop here until today. Cashier had a major attitude but I kept it classy. He barely spoke and half put my merchandise in the bag. And, threw he threw my receipt on the counter. Ok, dont patronize me because I can take my money elsewhere. I never left out of the store. I got back in line and walked up to the counter. And, asked for a refund. He half mumbled to an older lady whom I guess whose the manager for the day and he hurried walked to the back of the store. Usually a manager identifies themselves as the manager and stating their name. She couldve been another cashier for all I know. She proceeds to asks when did I purchase the items? I said Literally, 2 minutes ago because I never walked out of the store. She asked me is there anything wrong? I told her I didnt like the attitude of cashier. And, she says Now, your giving me attitude! Im like Huh???! I want my money back. And she says they dont offer refunds on food. But, shell give me a $5 coupon. Umm, no I want my money back now and Ill be calling corporate office. She tells me Im no longer allowed in the store! I lost it! Im a paying customer and I want a simple refund.I drive out of my way to come to this location. The last 3 Family Dollars closed down in within a 5 mile radius. Now, because, your cashier has a bad attitude. I cant get a refund for the poor customer service. And, Im no longer allowed in the store. Ok really! No wonder why alot of Family Dollars in this area have closed down. Im the customer and dont have to tolerate piss poor customer service. Ill take my money down the street to Meijers or Krogers.
