They do great work and get stuff done right the first time and in a quick period of time...the owner and service manager Brett are both great guys and want nothing more than to make you happy...my only issue is make sure you get a written estimate because what i was quoted vs what i had to pay was double the amount and make sure you look over what work is written because i had told them i did not want a oil change and my wife also told the tech the same but they did it anyway and was charged double what it would have cost me to do it myself...i learned my lesson but i will go back do to the owner being a great and honest man and the work being done right

Good prices and nice selection when they have products. However the service here is pricey. I pay more for an oil change on my dirt bikes than I do my truck.

Riding through Farmington on my KLR650 on a multi day trip and my chain broke. It was Saturday morning and I was hundreds of miles from home and solo. I googled kawi dealers and called and asked if there was anyway they could help me out and do it ASAP. I explained my situation and the nice guy said hold on. He went and found a tech who would squeeze me in. Being new to chain bikes I had no clue what the cost would be but I wanted to be on the road so I was going to pay what they asked. They explained to me the shop rate was $95/ hour and the job would bill out at about an hour. I brought the bike over and the tech was super helpful and the person at the desk was so cool to talk to. He is from Brooklyn, I don’t remember his name but he made me feel welcome. My KLR is old and in rough shape. When they brought the bike around to me the tech pointed out some safety things to me. He even installed a cotter pin for me on my rear axle nut free and without asking. It’s a simple thing but attention to detail. Previously I had lost mine. The price was spot on and the service was timely. I feel so much gratitude for this shop that I told them I’d write a stellar review. They saved me a hotel fee and got me back home two days sooner since they are closed on that Sunday. So many people write negative reviews (me too sometimes) that I feel impelled to write now for a business that went above and beyond and took care of me. They were my miracle workers. Thank you!!!

BUT WAIT THERES MORE. These awesome dudes also lubed up my chain, adjusted the break and now its hella good, just overall AMAZING service and fantastic completion time. Bet Im coming back here for my service needs on my bike whenever possible.

I have long wanted to join the motorcycle world and have recently decided to take the plunge. I have poked around at different places to see what is out there and still didnt have a clue what I wanted. Yesterday I went to Sun Country Powersports and am so glad I did. Dominic and Dave were very patient and helpful in explaining the different bikes and safety equipment to me. Dominic seemed genuinely concerned about safety and in making sure I got the right bike for me. He encouraged me to just get the helmet and gloves yesterday, and to come back and pick out a bike after I take the Rider Safety Course. That shows me he is cares about his customers and is not just out to make a quick buck. Thank you Dominic and Dave. I am so looking forward to getting my first motorcycle from Sun Country Powersports!

Had warranty work done on my Zeroand the mechanic Bret lied to me the whole time, first he told me he didn’t have anyone available to work on it, when I was already told by a salesperson when I showed up, that Bret was the only one qualified that could do the work, after I dropped off the bike I went to the bank and Bret rode buy on my bike and I could see that it still wasn’t fixed. I went back to the dealership and asked where he was they told me he went for shop supplies, when he got back I asked why it wasn’t being worked on and he said he just got freed up, it took him maybe 5min to put the new part on then it just sat back in the shop on the charger ( I think to hide the fact he was gone for 30min )I had to corner him and ask if it was done, surprised he says “ ohh yes, I have it on the charger after my test ride “ so I went into the shop then pushed my bike to my truck, got a ramp out of the shop and loaded it myself, the whole time Bret was nowhere to be found actually I never saw him again, I went back inside to get some sort of receipt for the work that was done. They were very helpful to take my money when I bought the bike but when it comes to doing warranty work it was very different. Will never do business with them again and will be calling Zero directly to let them know how they are being represented. Beware stay away from this dealership!!

HiI bought my honda shadow at this place. I went back for a small minor repair for a broken turn signal bracket that could be easily welded together, but was told that there was nothing that can be done, that it was going to be expenisive and that it was going to cost $85.00, or to go somewhere for the minor repair and suggest going somewhere for minor repair services. I went to another place and they fixed it for $ 8.00 and it works great.

I highly recommend you avoid this dealership. I purchased a TRX400X in October 2015. The throttle cable has been sticking since day one. They also delivered it with a low oil level. My two attempts to have the throttle issue resolved resulted in nightmarish experiences. Sun Country service personnel could not find the problem and tried to charge me $100. On the low oil issue, well, they over filled it and lost the dipstick o-ring. I had to buy another out of pocket. I returned it again weeks later for the throttle cable issue only to be met with degrading comments from the service staff. Dave Long, the general manager, stated that I must have left the choke on??? Dave Long also manages the Durango Colorado dealership. Perhaps one should avoid them as well. I made a call to Honda Corporate. They are facilitating the needed repair through another dealer.

Bought a 2018 Honda ATV and have had nothing but bad experiences with the Durango store and the sister store in Farmington. My ATV was supposed to be topped up with fluids when I brought it home and it was not! I had to make two trips (I live an hour from the store!) to buy an oil filter because their parts guys could not figure it out and get me the right part. They messed up the taxes on my purchase, AND were supposed to be sending a USFS permit for my ATV and they have not. When I told the Durango store about the Farmington store not topping up fluids, they told me a bunch of dirty garbage about the Farmington store service department continually messing things up and having problems. Buyer beware, both stores are a time consuming mess. Wish Id gone to Fun Center in Durango and bought a Polaris instead!

THEY FORGOT TO TORQUE MY AXLE NUT, AND I ALMOST CRASHED!!!On Tues. 9/12/17 I had the Service Dept. at Sun Country Powersports (Farmington, NM) mount new tires onto my 2016 Honda CRF250L motorcycle. After they finished, I loaded my motorcycle back onto its ramp on the back of my motorhome, and traveled to nearby Navaho Lake State Park to camp.I decided to take a motorcycle ride up to a small town called Ignacio, ~ 28 miles to my north up Hwy 511 from Navaho Lake. The road was very bumpy and curvy, and is surrounded by deep canyons and tall cliffs. I kept my speeds around 40 mph. SUDDENLY, at the ~ 19 mile mark (just before the Ute Reservation sign) I felt a violent side-to-side wobble of the back wheel. I immediately applied my brakes and pulled safely off the road. When I examined the rear wheel, I was SHOCKED to see: 1) that my rear axle was sticking out ~ 3 inches on the left side of the wheel, 2) the axle-nut on the right side was completely missing, 3) the remaining axle on the right side appeared to only have ~ 1/4 inch of contact remaining on the right side support (swing arm). In addition, 4) the chain had several inches of up and down play, 5) the rear tire (where the tire-rubber meets the left side of the rim) appeared frayed, and 6) the rear wheel was severely out of alignment. I immediately took numerous pictures with both my phone and camera, and I sent many home to my family and friends.I called the dealership, and they sent a truck to pick me up and return me to the Service Dept. After completing their work, they called me back so that I could personally check the torque numbers on both the front and rear axles, and they assured me that everything was inspected for damage (i.e., the axle, wheel, spokes, rim, tire, front sprocket, wheel sprocket, etc.) and that everything was in perfect condition.I wrote a letter to the owner of Sun Country to let him know how close I came to being killed or severely injured, all because someone in his Service Dept. forgot to torque down AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AXLE NUT!! The owner wrote me back stating that the Service Department is in the process of putting procedures in place to track torque specs on every job, and that they are also going to include a statement on the Service Ticket reminding customers to check axle nuts after tire service.I responded back to the owner, stating that I was quite shocked to read that these procedures werent already in place from day one!!!

This is a real experience. I am from Maryland and I teach at Newcomb area, I bought my first bike a brand ndew Honda CRF 125F 2014 model atSunCountry Powersports. Dave and Lisa welcomed me and I feel so comfortable with them. They gave me good and professional advise, gave me the best option for buying a bike. They are honest, friendly and so accommodating. I went to some other dealerships in Gallup and even in ABQ but nothing compares to the kind of dealership they offer.I Personally recommend going to this store at Farmington if you want a real good deal at a real affordable price. It only took me less than two hours to get my bike. I bought my accesories and gears from their store because they have sale items that beat on line prices. Check them and meet them in person or even if you call them they are the best dealers. I never regretted having Honda as my bike and having SunCountryPowerSports with Dave and Lisa Long, the power couple as my dealers. You really deserve this 5 star rating!!!You bet.
