This place is by far the BEST place to go for any vehicle repairs needed. Very reasonable prices. Ive been to a few places in Farmington but this place is top notch for your vehicle needs. They do an honest job work for a fair price. This is my mechanic for life.
The people at Andrews Automotive are great! We needed a shop to have our vehicle towed to when our alternator went out. They took it with very short notice and were able to get it fixed in a couple of days for a reasonable price. Great and friendly service. Would recommend to everybody.

BEST PLACE IN TOWN FOR AUTO REPAIR! If you are looking for a place to have your vehicle repaired call them! They have excellent customer service backed with INTEGRITY. Long story short, my college son was heading back home for the holidays when his truck overheated and was stranded. We called Andrew’s Automotive because of their reviews. We were more than satisfied with our experience . They got our son in immediately, diagnosed, repaired his vehicle and got him back on the road; so he could make it back home for the holidays. They could have taken advantage of our situation and stuck it to us. But, instead they were honest, helpful, friendly and their skilled mechanics repaired the vehicle in no time. Thank you Andrew’s Automotive for being there for my family in that hour of need!!!! Please, if you are looking for an auto care company that you can depend on and trust, than this is your place!
I have not been there but they are sure busy

Stans place was recommended by a friend of a friend. I read the reviews, all looked great. Took a F350 in for a pre-buy inspection. I know nothing about diesels, so I was looking to put my trust into a mechanic that could screen a used vehicle prior to buying. Stan drove the truck with me in it, for about 10 minutes. Came back to shop, pulled into bay and he went around to front of truck while it was running. He said this engine sounds good. I asked can you check the compression, he said not w/o pulling a ton of components off. He hooked up his computer to the trucks computer, no red flags. Once it was on the rack he discovered about $2600 worth of repairs he suggested to fix; front wheel bearings, a gasket here, a hose there.I bought the truck knowing it needed the work he stated in the pre-buy inspection. He did the work, test drove it AGAIN before giving it back to me, and charged me $2600. I picked it up and drove it home. Barley made it up Bondad hill coming home to Durango. Since this was my first diesel I thought, is this the way they should feel?... gutless? I parked it for the weekend, and then the following Tuesday drove to Utah to pull a dump trailer home I purchased there. Almost didnt make it home. I pulled into THUMPER RACING in Bayfield, CO. I mentioned to the owner there I suspected something wasnt right, as I had no power. He started the vehicle and while sitting in the front seat said, youre missing on at least one injector. Then he asked me if the turbo was coming on, said it would sound like a jet engine. I said, nope, I had not heard that sound when Stan test drove it with me in the vehicle, and Id not heard it driving since I picked it up from Andrews Automotive. He hooked up his computer and spend about 8 minutes running programs. He said, look here at the read out, it says injectors #1 and #8 are not working. $2900 worth of work to fix, as they are on opposite rails. When you replace one injector on a rail you might as well replace all four. These two injectors were on opposite sides.I relayed this info to Stan at Andrews. I was beside myself, as to how Stan could have listened to the engine running and say it sounded good. How Stan could have hooked up his computer and not found that 2 injectors were bad. The truck was running on 6 cylinders the entire time; 2 test drives by Stan. I stated my immense disappointment in his work on the pre-buy inspection. I asked how he could have determined what he did by listening to the engine running, when Denver at THUMPER RACING determined at least one injector was not working, after listening to it for 30 seconds.Stan started to say this could have all occurred after I drove the vehicle off his lot, I stopped him mid sentence and said NO, NO, STOP! Stan replied, Im sorry. What would you like me to do? He clearly realized his mistake. I told him that is the question he should be answering, NOT ME.It took all my will power to be cordial with him on the phone.I emphasized that the injector issue would have been a MAJOR negotiating point with the seller. He said, Im sorry I missed that.I spoke to an old timer diesel guy that owns the NAPA on College Drive up here in Durango; He said, everyone thinks theyre a diesel mechanic. I would only trust my truck with the guy next store at EXXON or Denver at THUMPER RACING in Bayfield, CO.Had Stan said, Hey man, I screwed to pooch, and Ill take responsibility. Please bring the vehicle back and well cover the cost to make up for our lack of expertise in our initial diagnoses of the truck.... Id not be writing this story of my experience.I just learned an expensive lesson, and I hope this help others before they take the vehicle to Andrews Automotive in Farmington, NM.I feel real bad for Stan and Frank there, b/c they truly are nice guys... BUT I WILL NO LONGER CONFUSE NICE WITH BEING HONEST, SMART, RESPONSIBLE, HAVING HONOR / INTEGRITY, OR STANDING BEHIND ONES WORK.Now we all can read their response to this post.
Just WOW! I recently moved here from Texas and when my beast of a truck needed a little TLC I started asking around for a mechanic. After a referal from friends, Andrews ended up with my baby.Im so happy to find honesty and kindness from this hard working shop. They say Texans are friendly, but they havent met these guys.My truck is home and acts like a new puppy, even after 110,000 miles.I am just about to get a desert rig and am already talking with the Andrews about getting it into good order.Stop looking and worrying about finding good honest service, just go here.
