Silas Auto Repair took my money during COVID and never even started fixing it! Trash business with a terrible owner. Do not come here, they just take your money. Worst place in the world.

Silas, or one of his mechanics in his staff taped my check engine light and called it a day. The vehicle came in with a check engine light and left with it off, I thought it was fixed. Today 2020 I was taking my dash apart to replace my speedometer lights and found tape over both the check engine bulb and housing for the check engine light. You lied to me and I trusted you to fix my vehicle properly if Im paying you.

Silas is a great guy. Cares about customer. Hes not out to rob you. Hes a great mechanic and his staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this shop to anyone that needs automobile needs. He saved me close to $500 for a ac compressor. He fit me in the day the part came in. Well done Silas

AVOID!! He is using junk yard parts. We bought a new part, gave it to him to install, & still had problems. Went to another mechanic & found Silas had created problems with the install, guessing for repeat business. Not a reputable business.

Awesome customer service. If youre looking for a mechanic that is real and down to earth, Silas is your guy. From my research on google to making the call, to pulling up in my overheated hummer, to Silas calling and saying hey come see the damage for yourself, to explaining the ins and outs, to watching him make the calls for parts to not 1 parts store but to 3 looking for the best price, all on speaker, oh and the relationship he has with these parts people, they are rolling up with the parts in tow within minutes, Im tellin ya...the honesty radiates. Above and beyond, the overpriced and dishonesty of American Car and Tire. I can honestly say, I have found my mechanics for years to come. I am sold.

My husband and I bought a used Hyundai Santa Fe. When we took it to get it serviced the original mechanic we took it to told us there was a rear main seal leak on the engine and quoted us $1500 to repair the leak alone plus another $1500 in other miscellaneous repairs. Knowing there were other mechanical issues with the engine, we called around to find out our options which is when we came in contact with Silas. He offered to inspect the car for free and he discovered that the rear main seal was not in fact leaking and he repaired a whole slew of other things for less than we were quoted anywhere else. All in all, Silas was honest with us, charged fair prices, and did good work on our car. We will totally be wanting to go to Silas for future repairs and will suggest our friends and family do as well.

An honest mechanic? No way!! Yes way. Didnt think they existed anymore but Silas is the man!!!! He knows what he is doing and does it efficiently. I just found my new shop! Will be doing business with in the future

We broke down in Bloomfield at 9:00 at night. We called 15 different people and only Silas was willing to come help. He came and helped us replace a belt at 12:30 at night. Very friendly, hardworking, and honest. Highly recommend.

They are amazing there. Like are unlike most mechanics that just want to make another dollar. They actually care that you have a reliable car. Amazing!!

I have taken my truck there twice and both times they have fixed it right away. Reasonable prices and quick turn around times. I recommend this shop for your auto repair needs.

My son just moved to Farmington and his Nissan Xterra needed to be diagnosed. I googled and found Silas’s shop with great reviews. I can vouch that he is trustworthy and fair with his pricing. I own an auto repair shop in Atlanta so I know. You can trust his expertise. He took care of the car first thing and got my son on his way! Took my car there for engine issues. He charged about 1K upfront in labor, plus paid for a new engine which he lost its 30 day warranty because it sat in the shop for months. He him self is not a mechanic, he has other people working for him who are back yard mechanics. They messed up the new engine. His mechanics come and go like fast food, wont stay with him. He is always out, hard to find him at the shop and dont bother calling he wont respond or call back. People are always calling and looking for him, waiting outside the door because there closed all the time even in business hours. My car was never fixed, after 1 and half years he took the car to another mechanic because he couldnt do it, but refuses to pay the other mechanic to fix it. I sued the guy, happens to be one of many who have done so. He takes money in advance but wont fix vehicles. He has many pending cases and owes many people this from county police and public records you can look it up. Have not been able to collect from him, tried garnishing goods with no luck coz everything in his shop isnt his. Dont waste ur time with SIlas, irresponsible and a thief.

After trusting a friends husband to repair my rotors and struts I was highly disappointed. Thats when I took up a recommendation to bring my vehicle to Silas repair shop. Not only did he correct the issue I had with my rotors and struts, he diagnosed other issue that needed immediate attention. Long story short, my pre owned 4runner rides like new.Thank u! I plan to bring my second vehicle for repairs and I definitely and highly recommend Silas Auto Repair for your vehicle needs.

My car broke down on me. I made several phone calls to try and explain my situation to several mechanic shops. The shops replied have it towed,in order to help me out. Finally called Silas Auto Repair. I did talk to Silas directly and stated he knew what happened and said it was a simple repair. I was filled with such relief and made me feel like a person. I couldnt move my vehicle. He took the time to stop by my residence and inspect my vehicle. Who Does that now days....nobody. Silas took time of schedule from his after hours to help me out. He gave me very reasonable prices. Of course I had to do my research with other repair shops. He had the parts and in my day and half without my car. He had it done the same day. I was so excited to get into my car and drive again. Thank you. I would so refer my friends and family to you Silas Auto Repair . Ill definitely be making an appointment for oil change soon. Worse mechanic Ive been to. He put lots of scratches on my car, and made a joke via text message that he needs an additional $150 to repair my car. When I asked him why he is charging me the extra fee, he said he was pulling my leg to see what I would say. My car now has four sensors on that were not on before I took my vehicle to him. I hope your visit was better than my visit.

A 19hr engine swap took him 18 days and didnt do a good jobi was low on transmission fluid plus leaking fluid now waste of time and money so dont get no WORK done by him

Sometimes you dont know how bad your vehicle handles until you have a major problem, it gets fixed, and you drive it again!Im a 70 yo woman snowbird from MI. My van steering wheel was shaking (alot) coming down off a mountain when applying the brakes. Kind of scary. Got to Farmington, checked the auto repair shop reviews on the internet and went to Silas Auto Repair (had 5 stars). What a blessing! I just showed up Monday morning un-announced, but Silas made time for my van (even though he was short a mechanic). Now fixed, Im back on the road, and it handles like a new van. I found Silas to be a down to earth, honest, hardworking, trustworthy person who knows what hes doing around vehicles.
