We needed a Dodge Ram 68 RFE Transmission. When we called Smart Parts, they told us the time it would take to send the transmission. It arrived within a week of the promise . They made it very easy to return the replaced core for the return of our deposit. I was told approximately how long it would take for the deposit refund to be issued. My mechanic wanted to charge me $3400 for the transmission alone. I was able to allow him to bring my own part. I saved $1400 by using Smart Parts transmission. Bought an auto -transmission for my 03 Eclipse GTS. I liked phone ordering, made sure i ordered the right part. My trans was not instock-ready-to-ship, so i had to wait for manufacturing. Totally worth the wait! I immediately noticed a difference from the factory trans. I knew every upgrade mentioned, was installed. Shifts smooth and solid. Sport shift feels like a manual. Super happy. Next time I need a reman, I’m calling Smart Parts Automotive!

I emailed asking for more details about a transmission that they claimed they fixed all of the common issues on, but didnt list any details on their website. The answers I got back was the description from the website, which I had told him I wanted MORE details about. He then told me to look up fords technical service bullitens. But that doesnt tell me details on what they specifically did. He then proceeded to tell me that the warranty alone should be enough to sell me. Then, when I tried explaining to him that all I wanted to know what the fixes were so that I could trust it without a warranty he sounded like he was trying to talk over me on the phone and then proceeded to hang up on me. So to sum it up, he refused to give me any additional information, was very unprofessional and expected me to trust a warranty from a company I hadnt really ever heard of before. Very disappointed in the way this situation was handled because I was 100% ready to spend $2000 on their product and need a trans asap. I hope I help who ever is looking into spending their hard earned money at this place.

I bought a 47re for my 96 Dodge 3500 from smart parts (spprecision.com) and I am more than happy with it. I have put about 3500 miles on it so far. Drive great, pulls great and have no issues with it. Customer service is phenomenal and responsive. People think it’s sketch cause the prices are cheap, but for a STOCK replacement trans they are my go to. They won’t warranty a suped up truck, but mines stock so it works for me. Highly recommend.Not sure why that guy who left a bad review is mad.....he got a longer warranty than what he originally was supposed to get. I’d call that a win 😂

Very dissatisfied customer. I ordered a 42RLE transmission for my wifes Jeep. Recieved the transmission in a timely manner but the rear output shaft seal was damaged because the transmission wasnt secure in the shipping create. Had a local shop install the transmission which only worked for lest than a week before giving codes and putting the vehicle into limp mode. Now it will not go into gear and due to the holidays it is sitting in my yard as a paperweight until the shop gets an opening. Have called multiple times as well as email. Have been trying to send my core back for the last 2wk. Needless to say, its still sitting at the farm. Think this is a way they avoid having to return the core charge I paid. Currently still trying to get in contact with them about these issues with no success. Would not recommend this vender. Pay the extra money for a reputable vender.

I felt like I needed to do this after having one awesome experience and now having my transmission I purchased six months ago still working great. I sit and wonder why a guy who got a longer warranty is trying to roast this company? Anyways I have nothing but great things to say and I appreciate the customer service as well as the quality of the product so thank you for being a great company I will personally refer all friends and anyone looking to replace their transmission.

I ordered a transmission from them and the warranty posted on the website said one yr unlimited miles. When I got the transmission the paperwork said 2yrs 24000 miles. I tried to explain to them what was on their website and they said it was a typo error. They go by the name of XP1 extreme performance. Beware!

Original guy I talked to on the phone since you have to call to get shipping info, was great. Told me the trans my customer wanted was in stock and gave me a quote. My customer then called with his payment info and no one answered or called him back for a week plus a few days. I then had to call, when someone answered they were extremely rude, told me the trans I was told was in stock has been out of stock for months? HE THEN HUNG UP ON ME. Didnt give me another option for a trans, not a timeline for getting one from back order, nothing. Im clearly trying to buy a product from you and this is how you treat customers who are trying to give you their hard earned American Dollars? I dont understand why.P.S. they never called my customer back. He called and waited for more than a week for them to never respond.
