Great food and service. Delicious fresh cut fries, awesome breakfast. Kitchen is really fast and servers are great. I never see more than two servers working so they can be swamped, but Ive never had bad service and theyre always kind. Management: consider a third server on the weekends. Your servers deserve less hectic shifts!
Grandma was SO pleased to be taken back to her youth in this 50s style diner. We all enjoyed it, the food and the service was amazing. Best chicken fried steak Ive ever had, and thats my go-to at most breakfast joints. Real malted milk shakes, mmmm. We will be back, and often.
My partner and I traveled all the way from Olympia to Portland and we decided to stop by this place on a whim. Best decision ever. Amazing atmosphere, somehow even better food, incredible service…. Really the total package. If you’re traveling through this area make sure to stop by, perfect classic diner experience from beginning to end.
The food was good. I had the Chicken fried steak over medium eggs and country potatoes,, The gravy was good,, I will have to go back and try the biscuits and gravy. The service was outstanding, I felt welcome in this resturant,, its been awhile since I have experianced that. All in a quaint old school 60s feel Diner.
This place is very nostalgic to me. In the same lot as where the Hollywood Video used to be (now a party store), walk in and Im immediately transported back to being 7 and eating my first banana split here. The food has only gotten better, since I remember! If u want a Diner experience, great food, great homemade desserts or just a great atmosphere, come check out this gem. Beats a chain Diner any day!!!
Good service, delicious food. Well be back, it was a nice experience. There was no wait on a Saturday morning which was nice.
Just a regular diner with food that does not disappoint. I was there with my mother and my son - my mom and I got the Blue Moon burger, which is a bacon cheeseburger topped with onion rings, and my son just got a regular bacon cheeseburger. Both my mom and I had food to take home as we couldnt finish the large portion, though my son finished his. We were all very satisfied with our meal. The diner itself was very quaint, but was obvious that business was very slow. Only one waitress was working and half of the restaurant was closed down, which was a shame. Ive been here in the past and this place was hopping. Not sure what happened, covid mustve hit them hard. All in all, we were very satisfied with our meal and will be back for more burgers very soon!
Loved this place. All the food we had was amazing. The portions were average but very filling and seasoned well. I got a side of fruit and it was fresh and juicy! A lot of diners fruit is old and mushy. The drinks were great too!Lots of booths and a few tables plus outdoor seating but I don’t think the outdoor seating is open yet.You could definitely bring a party of 5 or more and comfortably seat them here.Loved the atmosphere too! It was funky and fun.
After coming a few times, I decided to write a review of Blue Moon Diner. I looked at the consistency between these visits and at least I can tell they are consistently delivering a less than mediocre experience. The retro style diner is a great look and the atmosphere it creates are nostalgic. However, the sights arent why I came. I came for the food. A menu full of American classics such as omelets, corned beef hash, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, etc. in addition to lunch and dinner options like burgers, chili dogs, club sandwhiches, and patty melts. The price is a bit much... two corned beef hash orders for my wife and I, along with two coffees, cost $34.56. The price wouldnt be so much the issue if the taste and food quality was there. My eggs were a little warm, the hash was a greasy mess devoid of any seasoning, and the english muffin on its way to being burnt. This is simple American food that any cook with a reasonable amount of training and knowledge can cook (or at least should be able to).If the cook cant and quality isnt up to par, the price should reflect it. At 35 bucks for a meal, theres an expectation to have some flavor and not lukewarm blandness. The coffee was great and sadly the best part of the meal. I would recommend Cracker Barrel breakfast over this and that should tell one everything they need to know.
Had a wonderful experience at the blue moon diner!! The waitress was very helpful and polite
My family and I went today to have breakfast in a special place called “Blue moon diner”, which we expected a great impression and it succeeded, with its decoration very 50’s, the place is very pleasant, Stephanie the waitress, very Attentive and friendly, and the food uff not to mention more, very good and large portions, my 10 year old son thanked me and was very happy to be there, since he is a big fan of the John Travolta movie Vaseline, and He says it felt like going back to the good times of this country, in short my family and I were very satisfied by this very beautiful place and of course we will continue to eat there, and as a fan of vanilla coke, theirs is exquisitely delicious🤤👍🏻
Nice hole in the wall type place. Retro theme ol rock a Billy type Diner with great food. Truly impressed by everything I have had there.
OMG! Finally a diner with chefs who know how to poach an egg properly!
Atmosphere is great. Lunch is good. Breakfast was disappointing. Definitely come here for a burger and a shake
A special experience everyone should try out! Clean, stylish, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Decorations are thoughtful and add to the whole feel of the diner.Food is a tad bit more $$ for a restaurant in the suburbs but the food and portions seem to justify it.The Denver omeltte is beautifully layered and goes do wonderfully with the hash browns. For an authentic experience sit at the counter and get a coffee!
Originally read the reviews and was unsure about coming here. I intially only came here for a game I play, Life is Strange, as it is similar to a diner in the game. However, I was shocked by the friendly service, delicious food, and large portions. I ordered the breakfast platter, and it was large and delicious for only 12 dollars. I told the server about my visit because of the game and she let me take pictures around the place and shared her experiences with other customers that came because of the game. She was really nice and checked up every once in a while to make sure everything was alright. Would love to come back! Thanks for the great experience
Mediocre at best!My husband and I had high hopes for the blue moon diner, but were let down. My fries were dark, I considered them over cooked. When I ask the server if this is how they intended them to look she abruptly grabbed both our plates and said she would get us some not dark. Now mind you my husbands fries were fine. Less than 5 minutes later the server brings back our plates with fries A LOT lighter because they were not cooked all the way 🤦🏼♀️We like to support our local businesses...maybe we’ll try the breakfast menu :)
The moment you pull up and see this classic diner you will feel nostalgic. Talk about love at first site. Lol. As you walk in take a look to your left, that antique coke mirror was mine at one point. I had no idea they bought it from me. Funny!! When you walk in you get to pick your own booth or table. So pick your spot and get ready to feel back a few decades. Classic milkshakes. Classic food. Classic decor. The waiters/waitresses are always friendly and keep an eye on your pop or coffee. It is rare we hit the bottom of the glass/cup. My boyfriend and I go here often and it is always fun to take my Mum because she talks about the era and tells family stories.
1950s style decor in a fabulous airstream, rockin music, and food favorites. You wont get fresh, hot, diverse food like this anywhere else. Thai chicken scramble, banana bread French toast, Nutella milkshake, a perfect Reuben sandwich, and more. Delicious!! All fresh made and VERY clean restaurant. Get here early! Quick service as space is limited. Worth any waut
Fun little Hollywood-esqe themed diner. Good food and service. Check them out.
My family has been going to the blue moon for many years. Quality food, good service, clean environment. The classic diner feel is fantastic. Highly recommend.
OH MY GOD!! If I could give more that five I would. This place is the coolest restaurant I have ever been to, definitely a must if in the area. Even if not in the area it is worth the drive. The food is amazing with to die for shakes. The atmosphere is unlike any place I have ever been to. It is like a place stuck in time. I absolutely love this place.
A patty melt, chicken fried steak and eggs and 2 ice teas was over 45.00 dollars way too much
Super cute place. The food was good and their prices were reasonable. Good service. We will definitely be back!
The worst chicken fried steak Ive ever eaten and to make things worse... it was $17.00 !! Waitress was snippy Not going back
Okay first off, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. My husband and I chose this restaurant specifically because its the inspiration to a restaurant in my favorite video game of all time.(Life Is Strange)However, what we were not expecting was the AMAZING service and hospitality of our waitress. She was the absolute sweetest person and seem to genuinely care about her job. The place was so clean and beautiful. We ended up leaving with two t shirts and a coffee mug because we loved it so much there!
Other than the hair in my French fries that I did not see until it was in my mouth. Food was very good. Peach cobbler was good but crust undercooked.
This place is awesome. Like being in another world! Sure the seats in some of the booths are a little worn down but, The food here is delicious. Ive been recommending Blue moon Diner to everyone, especially the breakfast! Cant wait to come back and try the shakes!
Awesome 50s style diner. Food was good and service was fast and friendly. Prices were about on par with other places. Only wish they would have a jukebox lol
Really great service. Great food. Awesome place to go!
Great food, fantastic service with a smile. Great small local business that deserves yours. Fun step back in time with all of your breakfast, lunch, and dinner classics.
Great food! Ive been coming here for 20 years and it still rocks.
Great staff awesome food and just a wonderful place to eat
Laid back. Always good food and served with a smile. Give Blue Moon a try and see what I mean.
Fresh and delicious food, super yummy milkshake.Great service by server name Vanessa. Nice cozy family place. Must visit. ( Early 2020)Now year later, I start dining in again. Delicious food and great service, family friendly.Must visit, youll be greated by Tom(Owner) or other great server. April 2021.
This is a throwback dinner. When we arrived around 10 am they were packed we sat and the counter. Service was prompt and very friendly. We liked the selections on the menu. We got an omelet, waffle, sausage and some other items. Wow the omelet was big and loved the sausage gravy on top. We will be back to try lunch and then dinner. Also was very clean. If you want a comparable restaurant I would say Dennys, which I would only give a ⭐⭐⭐ so Blue Moon Dinner is a whole 🌟 above and beyond.
So many good things to say about this place, the liver and onions are to die for, the burgers are perfection, so many different kinds of milkshakes, the cream cheese poppers are a must get... Just a one of a kind restaurant with items you just cant get anywhere else. All the classics and so much more, we love love love you blue moon! God bless!
Nice atmosphere. Large portions. A bit pricey. People not overly friendly. Food was not the great. Looked better than it tasted.
Mac and cheese is meh but everything else is really good 👍
Food service was slow for lack of help. No fault of their own. The food was delicious.
Place is cute in design, didnt like how the menu is set up were u basically get tricked, very pricey,
Came in today and waited to be seated and the server lady looked at me and walked off without saying a word. i figured she had to wait on some tables so i waited until she came back. she went behind the bar and and didn’t even greet or acknowledge me. i understand if you’re short staffed but it doesn’t take anything at all to say, “we’ll be right with you” i walked out. not returning.
Amazing service and great experience. Perfect little date spot for all meals 😍
The nostalgic vibe of this place is fun. We, two vegetarians & one of us allergic to eggs, found things to eat. Ill be back to try their boozy milkshakes.
Good food old fashioned dinner retro/50s-60s look
A fantastic place to go for some great food. The decor is perfect! Old school diner with some character.
Would definitely recommend. Total time capsule; felt like I was stuck in the 50s. Will definitely be returning
Nice service good food cant go wrong
Great food, a little pricey but worth it!!
Wonderful food and a quaint atmosphere. I will be back!
Excellent Food. The diner plays 50s music. A lot of classic comfort food, a slice of Americana. A bit expensive, but they have big portions and well worth it.
Nice staff food was very good. Recommend the potatoe pancakes.
Place is amazing! Perfectly poached eggs!
This was a wonderful experience! The building is cool enough and unique enough to draw you in. The interior decorating continues the fun lively character. The staff was a lot of fun. The food was on spot! Rhonda, our server, was great. Rolled well with the jokes. Made the meal more enjoyable with her banter. We will be back; A LOT!
It was not busy at 5pm on Thursday, service was slow, food came out barely warm. Very disappointed.
You want an actual genuine dinner experience go here. Delicious food, large portions, and super friendly service. You can also get boozy milkshakes! This place has it all!
Cool place. Fluffy biscuits.
I got food poisoning eating here yesterday, I had a garden omelette for breakfast and it was the only thing I had all day. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, especially restaurants, but when I called they really didn’t seem to care. This is the first and last time I’ll be visiting this establishment.
Good food; but the staff could use some training in customer friendly service.
Great food, fast friendly staff, we went there for my sons birthday he wanted to visit it because its in a game he plays
This place is a wonderful step back in time and looks great! The food is awesome and cooked to perfection with a fantastic menu! Beaverton is so lucky to have a place like this...
One look and you know pretty much what to expect! Good food and service. A local favorite. Many are particularly pleased that the Covid couldnt kill this place (too)!
I absolutely loved the 50s style! The food is delicious, service is excellent
Excellent food! Great service!
Blue Moon Diner is a shiny aluminum throwback to the old 50s diner experience. Food isnt particularly fancy - just good mid-century staples like hot dogs, patty melts, burgers grilled cheese. All day breakfast allows you to have waffles, pancakes or omelets for dinner. Or you can get diner dinners for dinner: steak and eggs, liver and onions, mac n cheese, etc. Added benefit of beer, wine and hard alcohol as well as outdoor seating. Blue Moon Diner is a great alternative to the chain restaurants that dominate the Beaverton/Aloha/Hillsboro area.
We come here often and usually get great service. Came in yesterday and waited over 44+ min for our breakfast after everyone else around us had gotten theirs and left. Our waitress said the cooks “lost” the ticket (meaning she forgot to put in our order) we paid the tab and it was $38.20 (no itemized recipe) for a chicken fried steak and French toast breakfast with 1 coffee. We left a $9 tip. She didn’t even offer to comp anything on our meal after us waiting that long. I called this morning and the same frazzled waitress just stated I got a “good deal” she asked if I got an itemized recipe and I told her “no, you gave us someone else’s ticket for $42.60” then she said “well you got a deal then” 🤯 the food is great! Service is usually good. I’m not too happy about this encounter though. She definitely could have handle the situation better and offered us something else or taken a little bit off our tab.
Lets start with pros - good food and groovy retro atmosphere. Now onto the cons - its fairy expensive considering what is served. Our bill came out to over 30.00 plus tip for eggs, ham, hashbrowns (x2), a milkshake, and a strawberry lemonade which costs 4.50 fyi. It was lunchtime and we were the only patrons - that should have cued us in. The service was okay except for the fact that my husbands plate had a string of hair and mine had an eyelash.
Great old fashioned diner. Food never disappoints.
Kuanji is a very hardworking waitress. Super quick and efficent. Prices seem a little high. Good food.
Blue Moon Diner is an AMAZING little diner with the most wonderful waitress working there! The food is always delicious! The service is always exceptional, delightful & friendly! I love this place! Cant say enough great things about the BLUE MOON DINER!

Always so yummy and great service.
Huge portions, good value for the money. Great breakfast there!
Really good, diner food. I had the County Eggs Benedict; good to the last bite. Excellent shakes and malt. Did To-Go order ( COVID), everything well packed and they helped me carry it to my car.
