Where do I begin! Throughout the process of scheduling something Jake stayed in constant contact with me, and explained things as I don’t know anything about HVAC. They were able to get us scheduled within a couple of days which was amazing due to the heat we have been having! Upon arrival they were prompt and got straight to work and got it done within a couple of hours! They also gave me a military discount which I truly appreciate! My AC unexpectedly crashed in the middle of a massive heat wave. I have a home warranty but it costs $100/call and they take their sweet time responding. My Wife found that The Heated Dude came highly regarded from others in the community here so I reached out and got an early response on a Sunday morning. Im a mechanic by trade and know my way around a car or a truck but not home AC so I provided The Heating Dude with the details of the failure and he was fairly confident in the cause of failure and recommended a part to remedy the situation. Further he was willing to sell it to me directly on a Sunday morning! I installed the part and fired up the system and my home is quickly cooling down!! Way above and beyond the call of duty and his recommendation saved me hundreds of dollars!!!6/5 stars, highly recommend!!

Jake is wonderful to work with! Honest, professional, and friendly. We had our gas line extended for a gas range and Jake made sure he was available the day the appliance was delivered so we werent without a range for any length of time. He was prompt, work was completed quickly, and he left our space cleaner than he found it. I cant even tell anyone was in our basement! While here, we had a question about an issue with our fireplace, and Jake didnt even hesitate to look at it. He offered a great solution, so well absolutely be using his services again. Highly recommend.

Jake was awesome! Our boiler went out and from the first phone call he took time to try to troubleshoot it with me over the phone, it was 9 at night and when nothing worked he advised me that he could be there in 10 minutes however he may not be able to get parts if needed and could save some money by just waiting till tomorrow. Jake not only showed up earlier than promised the next day but resolved the issue within a hour, some loose and corroded wires, also found other potential issues and advised me of them. He didn’t even charge me for loose wiring. It’s really great to see such honesty and have a “do the right thing” attitude now a days. Overall great price, honest, and responsive will be using the heating dude from now on and would recommend to anyone!

Where to begin…….a 5 star rating simply isn’t enough for Jake, Roger, and Max. I have a service plan for all the appliances, HVAC, and hot water heater for my house but when my central air started acting up the first part of June, Minnesota Energy Resource said they couldn’t be out for 10 days. What am I paying for if you can’t show up for a week and a half in 90* heat?! I called The Heating Dude and his message said if it’s an emergency go ahead and text him. I shot Jake a text Sunday night and he said he could be out THE NEXT DAY!!! Jake showed up and resolved the issue BUT he also told me that it was a temporary fix because my unit was so old. I knew that and was fully prepared to replace the unit after the heatwave subsided a little and to let Jake and his crew get back to a normalish schedule. Jake encouraged me to get a couple of different quotes just to compare and each of the other quotes I got was substantially higher.After about a week and a half the unit started acting up again. I let Jake know and they came out the next day to look at it again. This time they tried a different strategy to repair it to get me a little more time before having to replace it. I had no problem paying for either visit because they were attempting to repair an ancient unit.After the second attempt to resolve the issue, I scheduled a date to replace the unit. Well, shortly after the second repair attempt it started acting up again. I let Jake know and he moved me up three days on his schedule to get the new unit installed.The install was fast, comprehensive, and great quality. Both hot and cold lines were replaced and the evap coil was replaced as well.I cannot say enough good things about Jake, Roger, and Max.

My furnace started having periodic problems at about 8pm at night. I texted Jake Jeppesen aka The Heating Dude and asked if he could possibly fit me in sometime in the morning. He said sure, he could swing by and take a look. He immediately confirmed my appointment by text and email. The next morning I was still having some problems and confirmed that I needed him to stop by. He thought he could make it at about 11:30. At 11:30 I got another text from saying he was running late at he would be there some time after 12:00. It’s this type of communication that it often overlooked by service people, they usually just leave you hanging. When Jake showed up he quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to get the furnace up and running quickly. I had previously used Jake to repair my fireplace and was impressed enough to call him again with my furnace problem. If you are having problems call The Heating Dude!

Our AC unit wasn’t kicking on, my wife called and he troubleshooted over the phone a bunch different options to test/try out. Talked about 20 mins and even offered to troubleshoot over the phone how to install a new thermostat. He was able to diagnose and fix over the phone. Really appreciated the time he took and saved us hundreds by troubleshooting instead of coming out to the house.

Extremely over priced? He seemed nice at first until we got to the numbers, now I am wondering if the good reviews are people who did not compare pricing or the heating dude is fluffing the reviews? I always read reviews and write reviews because I find them helpful and I hope it will help others. If you decide to still go with him based on other reviews first get pricing and call around to compare. Our furnace went out late Saturday evening, he went as far as making sure my family would be warm through the night & offered to bring us heaters. He was extremely friendly & knowledgeable. When he was installing our new furnace (Tuesday morning he was at our door ready to go, when I was getting quotes as soon as Thursday or later in the week when we had high temps of 20°). Excellent and affordable service!Read the story below:Recently we discovered that our AC had stopped working. Decided to call the Home Warranty company on a Tuesday to make a claim, their guy couldnt come until Thursday. A friend referred me to The Heating Dude and because it was super hot, we gave him a call on Wednesday. He was in booked all day in Edina, but at 6:00 p.m. was able to stop at the house (in Farmington) to replace the units fan, in some horrible rain. The next day (Thursday) the AC was still not working, he was able to swing by the house to look at the unit. Unfortunately the unit needed to be replaced. He changed his schedule to get the install completed on Friday and then refunded the previous work into the cost of the new unit!
