Excellent and efficient service! They have a drive through and two walk up windows. The drive through was busy, cars were queued onto Grand River, but the customers werent there for too long because the crew was working as a team to fill the orders.We parked off site and went to one of the walk up windows. They took it order and had It ready for us within 90 seconds.They have several round picnick tables for customers to enjoy their purchases. The tables and grounds were all clean with families and young children enjoying their delicious treats!

Excellent ice cream parlor with a variety of soft serves, milk shakes, and ice cream sundaes. They also recently got Dolewhip and have a different flavor every few weeks.We came here often during covid times since they have a very efficient drive thru line but they also have a wall up window.

Brownie Sundae with peanuts, chocolate syrup and whip cream sounded as good as it was. Customer service was excellent with the quick and efficient drive-thru line and upbeat attitude. The ice cream itself did taste like regular soft serve though. Presentation made all the difference.

Times of operation aren’t correct via google. Pulled up with two people working inside closing the blinds frantically (9:15pm). If there’s a problem the two workers should have explained the problem. However, one worker on her cell phone opens the drive-thru windows quickly to tell me they are closed... Wouldn’t have been big deal but just explain. Seems that they didn’t want to work. Whatever won’t be back.

Silver Dairy has been around since before I was born. And Ive always lived within walking distance of them. Nowadays, I enjoy taking my family there. Whether its a nice after school treat or a cooldown after a Friday night baseball game, its great for all occasions! Under the most recent owner, its been a great spot for local teens to get their first job. The employees are always pleasant to deal with and the ice cream is always delicious! I would definitely recommend Silver Dairy for a delicious treat!

Our first visit, and was quite pleased! They were so friendly and accommodating. Our grandkids ordered cones with sprinkles and a cherry....they were huge and a delight to see as well as eat. Us adults had Guernsey ice cream (the best!), especially the butter pecan. Glad we discovered this place, we will enjoy the old time atmosphere and delicious treats this summer.

Great hometown soft serve ice cream shop that also serves Guernsey Farms Diary Ice Cream. Dont want to park, they also have drive through. Easy stroll from Downtown Farmington.

This establishment doesn’t honor their listed business hours. They closed 20 minutes early tonight, (went there on 9/1/19 at 10:10p). Salesgirl said “my boss said we could close early because we weren’t busy”. Just something to be mindful of if you’re debating between going here or Dairy Queen.

Nice, friendly, good...my sons favorite place to eat ice cream around the area.1 star missing cause they use some weird brand or old/stale peanut butter cups. they call them reeses, these taste bad. outside those, everything else is great.

This is a convenient little Ice Cream Shoppe, nothing too crazy special, and it could definitely use some updating. The place has been here forever, and has to be paid for by this point. I am sure a little bit of TLC would go a long way to make this look a bit more appetizing. But either way, decent ice cream and nice location.

If you like peanut butter and bananas you have to try the Elvis flurry. Staff could be slightly more efficient. It would better if utilized both windows instead of using just the one for orders.

Cute little stop for cold treats. I really appreciate they serve VANILLA FROZEN YOGURT! Its a healthier option and easier on a lot of peoples stomachs.

Great selection of treats from sundaes and hand-dipped cones, to novelties and frozen bananas. I love that they have Guernsey ice cream! They have about twelve flavors from them, but Coffee Mocha Chip is my favorite :) Parking and seating is limited, but you could always use the drive-thru.

My friend had a taste for ice cream. I suggested we go to Silver Dairy as it has been my go-to spot for over 20 years. My friend ordered a cup of butter pecan, which is her absolute favorite. She tasted it and said it had a strange taste and felt it may be spoiled. She asked is she could get a different flavor and was told she would have to pay for another cone. She barely took a bite out the ice cream she had ordered. The young lady offered to throw the full cup of ice cream away but told my friend she would have to pay for another ice cream. My friend was not given a refund. She paid $3.75 for nothing.Now I read a review from 3 weeks ago where someone dropped their ice cream and water and was immediately given a replacement by the friendly staff.I am upset because I recommended Silver Dairy out my past positive experiences and my friend ended up with the complete opposite experience.I will not be returning to Silver Dairy because of the way my friend was treated. I won’t be returning since it appears replacement ice cream is given away if you are clumsy and drop your ice cream; however, if the ice cream is spoiled, you have to buy another flavor.

I wont give it a bad rating because it has great desserts its the simple things that bother me such as the ice cream melts unusually fast, when you ask for extra topping its the same as the usual, and its teenagers making your dessert. Otherwise its a good place for ice cream.
