As an amateur photographer, we stopped in to learn more about telephoto lenses to improve on our bird photography. We brought in all of our current gear to get an idea of whether we needed to upgrade everything in our arsenal or just add a new lens. The owner was so helpful in explaining all of our options to us and did not try to sell us all new equipment. He listened to our needs and gave us a couple of recommendations. We ended up getting a new lens that should help us in getting closer to our bird subjects. I am also looking forward to taking some one on one classes with him in the near future.We would highly recommend this shop, especially if you are looking for some one on one information.

The staff are very friendly .Very helpful with any questions you may have about any questions you may have. I want in with questions about the different between to make of the 150 to 600 lenses that are out now. They made it easy to pick the one that best fit my needs. I picked up the Tamaorn 150 to 600 mm. And just love it. Alway love going to there shop.

Excellent experience at Billmeier camera shop. My wife and I are not experienced with cameras or photography. Terry took the time to understand our goals, educate us on the basics, and hook us up with the equipment and knowledge we needed to take great pictures. You can buy a camera anywhere but there aren’t many places where a knowledgeable person takes the time to understand your needs and break things down in a way that actually makes sense. If you’re not buying camera equipment from your local shop you should be and if you’re close to Fenton it should be from Terry.

What a refreshing thing to still find great customer service! I purchased a new camera recently and instead of taking my money and sending me on my way, which I was completely prepared for and ok with, Terry took the time to take my new camera out of the box and just go over some things with me. We had a nice conversation and although I just met him, at the end it felt like we were friends. He even had a brand new fully charged battery so I was ready to shoot! It feels good to see someones passion for something reflected in the way they do business. I can see why, in the age of online everything, this store is still around. Fellow photogs.... Dont send your money to the big boys in NY! Everything was the same price and you can work with great people who live in your community.

My camera card recently locked up and the clip came off of it so I couldnt unlock it. They replaced it for free after I sent them the damaged one. A little bit of a hassle but understandable.

Best Shop Ive been to in MI, Knowledgeable staff and down to earth people. Wont try to oversell you anything and genuinely try to help you. Sent my A7s2 in for repair, thought it was a goner, Terry didnt give up even took apart his own camera to find the problem. Couple weeks later my camera was good as new.

They helped me out last minute getting hold of a replacement drone, and not only were they very friendly through the whole process but they were also very quick to respond. I fist met Tarry in 2007 when i got my Minolta XE-7 Tarry rebuilt it to better then new. Over the yes he has fixed my lenses as well as my other vintage cameras as well as those of my uncle and of several friends. I have only one recommendation to anyone i know that has vintage camera need take it to Tarry. To may more years of service best wishes from the Factor clan.

This is the only place I would suggest having your film developed. They do pretty much everything here and the owner is an expert on both new and old technologies. The store even has vintage cameras on display. But the reason I went here is because I had slide film that was over two years old that I wanted developed into standard prints. No one in the area would do this. I even found it impossible to find anyone on the internet to do it. I was working with a film crew in the area and the owner let us borrow lenses and film a scene in his laboratory. I asked him if he could help me out with my problem and he said no problem. The best part is after he had them developed, he redid them because he wasnt pleased that they were the best quality. Most places would have just sent me on my way with my crappy prints. So the customer service is excellent. Also, because they are knowledgeable, if I were planning on buying a camera I would go there first to have them walk me through all the different products to help find the right one for me. I suggest you check Billmeier out before you go to Best Buy or make a purchase online. There website has more details about all their other services. So this customer definitely gives it two thumbs up.

Billmeier is a top of the line place. If you need camera equipment or answers this is the place. His prices are as good as Best Buy and he has great info. He knows his business. You will be treated right, that is for certain.Just left there 2 hrs ago.

My camera, which I bought at Billmeiers a few years ago, quit taking sharp pictures. I had dropped it a few days before . I was greeted warmly. The gentleman checked the camera out and showed me how it was a problem with a setting He also diagnosed a few other problems and corrected them. All for no charge. I highly recommend this store for both purchasing and repairing your camera.

If you need film developed this is the place. Prices are reasonable, and the film scans are high quality. The only draw back is that you have to wait 1-2 weeks to see your photos. Beats Walgreens or Walmart any day of the week.

He was engaging, knowledgable, and really helped everyone (including me!) understand how to take better pictures, pick out a good camera, and use our existing cameras in new and interesting ways.I stopped by his shop at the end of the final session and was simply amazed at the variety of products he had. Unlike Target, Meijer, or Wal-Mart, the Billmeier Camera Shop had medium to high end products that you just cannot get from the big box stores. Most importantly, this store is a trusted source for quality information about all things photography related. They do not try to up-sell you on unnecessary stuff. Do not waste your time in a big-box chain store. Get your film-based cameras, digital cameras, and your accessories from here. If nothing else, stop by and admire the awesome antique cameras on display!
