We had such a great flight! Everyone was so professional, kind, and encouraging. Yes there is a good chance you’ll have to reschedule do to weather (it has to be perfect), but the pilot was always so easy to get a hold of and schedule and reschedule as needed. They were extremely safety conscious and I had no hesitation we flew with the right company. Amazing flight, and a great company to fly with.
My Sister purchased a Balloon ride for me for my 60th birthday, it took a few attempts to finally go thanks to the weather. Once the day finally happened it was so AMAZING! Absolutely loved it and cant wait to go again. Our pilot, Eric was knowledgeable and funny with some stories of some of the many flights hes done. It was the perfect early Spring evening and the tree tops were full of fresh leaves and the wildlife below us kept us looking for more. Fabulous balloon ride but too many souls in the basket. With pilot we had 14 on our ride! Even 1 person less would have made it tolerable. Was unable to even turn around to get a different point of view. Would have paid more to not be so uncomfortable. Crew was informative and interesting. I recommended finding out how many are flying with you and adjust accordingly. Absolutely do this adventure!

What an amazing experience! Ive had this activity on my bucket list for years and finally decided to pursue this! It was so exciting yet peaceful once we were gently floating up high! We needed to reschedule a couple times but this is expected as precise weather conditions are required so we were flexible. Thanks again for the memory!
My daughter and I took a flight in the early morning. This is the best time!The Staff at Ballon Quest gave us quick, but detailed safety instructions.The team was very professional. You can tell that they have a lot of experience. Capt. Eric gave us many very interesting facts and information during the flight. We had the greatest time and probably will do that soon again.
It was an unique experience- crowded in the basket, could hardly move, longer total time for excursions than I expected- flight about 45min-1hr. Then you have to wait till the balloon&basket is loaded up, all return at the same time.
I have so many great things to say about this place. We got lucky and on our first time booking it the weather was perfect to fly. So we booked it for a sunset ride and they were so helpful and nice. I was proposing to my girlfriend and they helped me sneak Roses on board and they made the experience absolutely wonderful for us. It was a once and a life time opportunity and we are so glad we were able to experience it. We will for sure be going back on our 10 year anniversary! I highly recommend them!!!

We had such an amazing time!! Even before the flight this company was well organized and made sure you had all of the information you needed! Once we got there everything ran like a well oiled machine and it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable! We flew with Captain Eric and he did a wonderful job pointing out different sights along the flight and also make sure we knew what to expect and why certain things worked the way they did.
This was a super neat experience! I highly recommend it. Its way better than I could have imagined, and I already had high expectations. I would also say its not a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I plan on repeating the experience again! There are two bits of advice I can give. Be physically able; getting in the basket and landing can be quite hard and rough! Also they dont control the weather, be patient with rescheduling. Please give them a try if you can afford it!

I went for my Birthday, July 3, the weather was perfect! Everyone there, was so nice and professional, they took real pride in the history of hot air balloon riding. I learned a great deal. It was such a great experience, once you leave the ground it’s so serene. And to top it off, a Champagne toast after we landed, such a wonderful experience. Due to Michigan weather unpredictability, they may end up rescheduling frequently. Although it can be frustrating, but that is actually a good thing because they want you to have a safe and relaxing drive. Besides that, they are very nice and super friendly. The ride is amazing!We had a little nice celebration by the end of the trip with some historical information about hot air balloon.Love this place! I would definitely recommend them.You gotta get a hat for the ride, burner is VERY hot! 😬
This was a great experience! Our pilot was highly skilled and expertly managed the flight from takeoff to smooth landing. We soared to 3000 feet and swooped to brush the treetops! His entire crew were delightful and Captain Eric was an encyclopedia of knowledge and obviously has a strong passion for hot air ballooning.
I took my first flight with a big group of friends. It was pretty amazing. The main thing I did during my flight was make sure I was fully in the moment. So right away I took a few photos then the rest of the flight I just enjoyed the ride. The flight was beautiful. Ive lived in this area my whole life and I had no idea of exactly how many lakes were in the area. For sure would recommend that everyone who can fly with this company to do it. They are professional and the experience was a 5 star rating.
We sent our Grandpa and Aunt up for a balloon ride and they both loved it. They still talk about it to this day, the thing Grandpa talks about most is how peacefully quiet it is up there. He says you are just floating, and everything is still and calm. My Aunt loved the views, she says it was like nothing shes ever seen or done before. We are grateful for the staff, and all their hard work to have everything run smoothly and we plan on flying again in the future.

Amazing experience! The flight was absolutely gorgeous! We flew over so many lakes, and we were able to see the reflection of the balloon in the water! It was so cool! I never would have guessed that the flight would be as gorgeous as it was, and so peaceful too!! You could hear people from the ground shouting up saying hello, which was so cool!! The flight was absolutely stunning! We did the evening flight in the Spring, everything was just starting to bud so the trees looked mesmerizing! I highly recommend this company, literally because of how gorgeous the flight was!

I gave my husband a hot air balloon ride gift certificate for Xmas. We waited until July to take that ride and we were not disappointed. The Balloon Quest people were wonderful and took very good care of us. The ride was spectacular and we couldnt have picked a better evening. Ended up landing in the back yard of one of the towns people and helped pack up the balloon so really got a well rounded experience. The campaign afterwards was very much appreciated also! I would highly recommend Balloon Quest as your go to if your thinking of going up into the wild blue sky!!
This was my first ever hot air balloon experience. Definitely a little scary but super exhilarating. The captains did an amazing job with takeoff, landing, and showing us great things to look at from the air! I will 100% be back for more flights this spring and fall. I highly recommend this amazing team of ballooners :))
Wow! What an amazing evening. We had a couple of guests from out of town and decided this would be fun for us to do. We could not have asked for a more beautiful evening or perfect ride. We enjoyed our pilot and the scenery. Our captain was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Our landing could not have been better. We enjoyed the toast after the ride also. Our ride was delayed a day due to high winds. We appreciate them looking out for our safety. The wait was well worth it. This was a unique experience and a one-of-a-kind evening. We hope to join Balloon Quest in the near future for another ride.
Amazing experience that I can’t recommend enough! My boyfriend and I finally got to go for the sunset flight after trying to do it for almost a year. Since hot air ballooning relies entirely on the weather and wind, you may end up having to reschedule a lot like we did. It’s especially hard with variable work schedules, so keep that in mind. However it was worth the wait because it was a gorgeous night with clear visibility. It’s run by a small team who is all very passionate about what they do, and they’ve been running it for about 50 years. They were fun, friendly, and professional. The entire experience was organized well too, and they finished with a tradition of a champagne toast. We enjoyed our flight so much, and the area offered a beautiful view of everything- trees, open fields, lakes and rivers, deer, and even cityscapes. With the clear visibility, we could see 50 miles out to Downtown Detroit. Keep in mind landing can be bumpy, but we felt safe the entire time and took lots of awesome photo. Lastly, some tips- wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and in general clothes you may not mind getting dirty as you may land in a wet or muddy field. I also recommend a ball cap as the fire gets super hot and is especially toasty on your head, shoulders, and arms. I wore a tank top and wish I hadn’t because A) My shoulders were so warm from the fire and B) It’s chillier high up in the air obviously (when the flames aren’t going). They do sell drinks and merch in the office building, and there is a bathroom. Most of us also volunteered to help roll up and put away the balloon at the end, which is helpful for them. All in all, we had a blast and it made for a beautiful and wonderful date night!
I recently went on my first Hot Air Balloon trip via this location. I had gotten a GroupOn about 5 months before my trip. During late Spring, I had booked for a morning weekend flight with required arrival around 6am. I am not a morning person and while a 1 hour drive, I figured to be safe I should be getting up at 4am. They provide a convenient service where they give you a wake up call to make sure you up and ready for the trip. However, the flip side of this is, no wake up call means the trip has been called on account of weather conditions. The pilot flew for several years, but he says that the conditions needed for an enjoyable and worth while sightseeing trip can be a lot more limited than those needed for a plane for example. With low visibility you pay (with what was still a considerable amount with a deal) for looking at fog. Since there is no directional propulsion besides up and down, high winds could make the ride bumpy and create difficulties landing. I didnt realize this until I signed a waiver, but realistically you might need to make a landing on private property and they actually have a chase vehicle go around and request permission before a landing spot is chosen. All of this culminated into my trip being delayed 3 times until I scheduled my fourth morning trip and actually got to get into the air. The trip was great and a bit surreal, but patience and earlier morning are not one of my virtues. Technically with the wake-up call you shouldnt need to get up early and the morning viewing was beautiful, but for a nervous flier + chronic over-sleeper, consider an afternoon flight.
It was my first time experiencing the hot air balloon ride. I was excited and scared for my life but the captains made me feel extremely comfortable. I will recommend them to everyone I know that would be interested. Im definitely going again!

This past summer I took my first ever hot-air-balloon flight with Capt. Phogg, and it was fantastic!So I am TERRIFIED of heights! I absolutely hate being up high for any reason, and i feel all wobbly and sick to my stomach when im up high, but the balloon ride was amazing!!! I wasnt scared and didnt feel sick at all!!!!My mother really wanted to take a balloon ride with me, so I was looking for the safest and best company to fly with, because I was so worried about my fear of heights making her ride a terrible experience. But when I called to book my flight Meredith reassured me and helped educate me about why a balloon ride is safe, and how you dont feel any motion in the balloon, because it moves with the wind. I will admit I was weary but booked the flight anyways. The reason I booked anyways was because of the fact that this company has been around for 50 years and they take safety very seriously when it comes to weather. The balloons needs really good weather in order to fly and if its no good that day they will cancel the flight, and you just have to schedule a different day.We only had to reschedule 2 times! So we got really lucky and the flight was amazing! I was so scarred when we first got into the basket, because I knew it was going to go up! So I was bracing myself and all of the sudden we were off the ground, and I didnt even notice, until we were above the building!!!!!!!!!! Thats how smooth the take off was! I couldnt believe it!! And the flight was gorgeous!!! I wasnt scared at all while we were in the air!! The pilot was great too, Eric answered all our questions and would point things out to us. When it was time to land he let us know, and the landing was almost as smooth as the launch!!!!!I HIGHLY recommend this company to EVERYONE and if youre like me and afraid of heights please do this, it will change your life!Thank you Capt. The weather plays a HUGE role in the way that this company runs, you have to understand that if your flight is cancelled it is because of the weather. We had a group of 10 flying so it took us a few times to reschedule due to our busy schedules and due to weather cancels. The pilots are thinking of your safety when a flight is cancelled because of weather. So you have to be very patient WITH THE WEATHER! The pilots want to be flying all the time, but they care about the passengers safety first.Its a great company to go through if you are looking for a ride. They are professional, knowledgeable, and they clearly love what they do. I would highly recommend this company to others, just because of the staff and the experience as a whole.

There location is where all of their flights take off from and where they return to after each flight. In the ballooning world Capt. Phogg is the best of the best, he has since retired ballooning, but his legend lives on in the captains who fly for Balloon Quest Inc. All of the captains at Balloon Quest have thousands of hours of experience and are very knowledgeable of the area, giving passengers a fantastic experience and also making sure that passengers see the best sights during their flight.The area that they fly over is also gorgeous! There are 50 different lakes within a 10 mile radius of the launch field. So when you go up you are going to see some of the most beautiful scenes you could ever imagine. Our pilot was Eric and he did a great job answering everyones questions and showed us different landmarks. He was very knowledgeable and made it a great trip. He even dipped the basket down into a lake which was awesome!! Also Meredith was our second pilot who flew the balloon, she had a real passion for her work and a deep love for hot air balloons. Noth worked together so well as a team, and it is easy to see why they are best in the country! Dont hesitate to use this company for your hot air balloon ride. We will definitely be coming back with another large group! ;)

They were trained by Capt Phogg who is a United State National Champion, the First World Hot Air Balloon Champion and has been inducted into the United States Ballooning Hall of Fame.They let the passengers help put the balloon away after a flight for a hands on experience that makes it more enjoyable.
Captain Eric and his crew are fantastic! Our entire family (6) of us went up for a beautiful and serene ride! They made the ride fun and we learned a little too! You need to go on a balloon ride!
I had a phenomenal time on there sunset ride. Captain Eric is extremely knowledgeable and you would be hard pressed to find another pilot as experienced as he is. You get to perform balloon riding traditions of old, like hearing the recitation of balloon poems and a champagne toast at the end. The tickets are pricier and non-refundable, but well worth the experience if its on your bucket list!Something to note is, the rides are weather permitting. I had to reschedule over 5 times due to the weather not being amenable to the ride, and it took ~10 months to get a flight in that flew.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience on our balloon ride. Much of this was the physical experience, which is unique; but the crew running the operation added a lot to it -- they were competent, courteous, amusing and good guides to all aspects of ballooning
Been flying quite a few times with both pilots Eric and Craig for the last 10 years. Both pilots are very experienced, and in the response to the other commenter, some days the balloon lands were it lands. I have never been made to Ioad the balloon, in fact every time it was made clear that they were happy if we wanted to help and were very appreciative to those that decided to give a hand. Helping means that we get back to the port.Also, poor planning so you have to go home should not be a negative against Capt. Phogg.I have recommend Capt. Phogg to all my friends, and every one that has gone has thanked me for the pointer.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I called a bunch of other places that advertised in the Fenton area. After calling, most of them seemed very uninterested and didnt even have an actual establishment. It seemed as if some old ballooners turned their hobby into a side gig. Balloon quest actually listened to my concerns and didnt make me feel stupid for any of the questions I had. The lady who answered the phones seemed kind and was very transparent about prices as well as their cancellation policy. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

This company is amazing! Taking a hot-air-balloon ride has been a bucket list item for me ever since I was a little girl and a balloon landed in our back yard! Ever since that day I have always wanted to ride in a hot-air-balloon. So, this year I finally said I’m going to do it, and I invited my best friend to go on this adventure with me. The first thing that makes this company stand out compared to any other balloon ride agency is how friendly, and knowledgeable the staff is about the hot-air-balloons. When I called to get information about the prices the lady that was on the line was so helpful! She let me know everything about how the flight works, the gorgeous area, the experience of the pilots, where they were located, and all the different flight packages that they had to offer. There was so much information that I had no idea went into ballooning! I thought the balloons were kind of like planes, but there is so much more about when they can fly and how important the weather is for them to fly!The second thing that makes this company amazing is that they have an actual location that you can go to during the day when they are open, and it’s the place that you go to for your flight! I had called a few other places to check prices and compare, but the other places I called were not as friendly and none of them would tell me where they met for the flight!! They said I had to buy a ride first to figure out where we would take off from!!! Capt. Phogg HAS a REAL location in Fenton! They had a cool looking showroom with beautiful tables to sit at, there was a restroom on site, and the launch field was right out back from the showroom. Capt. Phogg having an actual location was the biggest selling point for me, because I knew it was a real place then!The last thing really sets this company apart from anything else I’ve ever done was the balloon flight. Being up in the air was the most exciting thing I have ever done! The view was breath taking! There were so many lakes that we could see from the air! This area that they fly over is covered in lakes, and from the air it’s a gorgeous flight! We even came down to a lake and the captain just touched the basket to the surface of the water and we went back up!!!! It was the coolest thing ever!!!Everyone who wants to take a hot-air-balloon ride should go with this company!! I am from Ohio and flew with them at their location in Michigan, and it was worth it!
