This review is not of the location as a whole but of the service. I have an ongoing dispute regarding being overcharged by this location. I have made multiple calls and visits to the location over the past three weeks with little to no response and zero resolution. The problem is not the staff it is that they are unable to do anything without supervisor and corporate direction. Tenoa and Teresa have both been great, and I appreciate their assistance but this should have all been handled and resolved by their supervisor in a timely manner. So with that said, I am rating the two employees mentioned 5 stars, if I was rating just the location and not the staff it would be 1 star.

In my search for a convenient and safe place to store some extra household items and Xmas stuff, I am so happy I ventured over to the Public Storage on 1792 in Fern Park. It is close enough to my home in Altamonte and worth the trip. Teresa was so helpful in picking the right size storage for our needs. She was very friendly and gave us the VIP tour showing all the different options for storage. She also shared all the info on the how the facility is kept clean, cool and most of all safe. Thank you Teresa. We will highly recommend your Public Storage facility to our family and friends!

Quick and easy sign up for a unit. Teresa, the site manager, was and is wonderful to work with. She did a great job walking us through the sign-up process and explained the moving/storage materials that were available. Opening our unit for the first time was a surprise because it was spotless. This is a very clean and secure facility and the price is as good as any. Teresa is a manager there and processed my info quickly so I didn’t have to wait my movers. Teresa gave me a unit with 2 doors and it was great.

Yolande was great! I booked online and filled out all the information and was ready to when I got there. I also got to work with Rita, who was also great! They are the most friendliest people around. Showed me how to operate the gate and lock to my unit. Highly recommend them.

I just wanted to give kudos to the property manager Yolanda. I have not worked in a month and I had absolutely no money. I kept in constant contact with Yolanda to explain to her I couldt pay my storage unit. I had to borrow money from a friend to get the unit paid for April. She was kind enough to waive the late charges. Businesses need more people like Yolanda to help people during this terrible time with this virus. Thanking Yolanda again and again she is the bomb.

This review is particularly about Yolanda, I had made a reservation at the wrong place far away and had gone to a Public Storage before being sent on down the road to this one by someone who didnt seem interested in helping me. Yolanda was so friendly and talked to me long enough to set out finding my reservation elsewhere cancelling it and offering me space in this location, even upgrading me which I am happy about but had no intention of doing! She was so nice it made doing this a pleasure and I am happy to know she is there if i need anything. She is a great hire and Im going to try to hire her away from you when my company has an opening for her talents. Not too many around with her talent for service and communication skills.

I had a customer request her lock to be opened since she had lost her keys. When I arrived I found Rita, the property manager on site that day to be very helpful. She was polite, tried to help the customer, and really seems to care if everyone is satisfied. I have been to several storage facilities in the past and have not always had such good service. I appreciated her efforts, and would highly recommend the Public Storage facility in Fern Park to people in the area. Thank you Rita for doing a good job!

I just rented with Chris. Very awesome manager. 2 months in but works like a pro and such an amazing personality as well. All around the location is great moving in was a breeze. Unit was clean as well, property looked well kept up with also. I would always recommend this facility.

Melanie was my manager and she was very helpful. There are two locations on 17-92 and I had some trouble finding the place, but once I got there, I was completely taken care of! She was friendly and the service was fast and accurate.Kudos.

The owner, Yolanda, is reretired from law enforcement and takes pride in securing your property. Just make sure to come between 6am-9pm because motion sensors will trigger police response if you walk through the open gate . I know this first hand becuase I walked through the open gate earlier tonight and was actually impressed with the immediate response of sheriffs reporting on the scene. The surrounding neighborhood can be sketchy at night but rest assured your property is safe.

What a pleasure to do business with “Jennifer,” She is such a friendly, knowledgeable and warm person. Seldom have I seen an employee of any company which I have done business with be so conscientious. In addition, I had a small cut on my finger which she noticed, and immediately, she stopped what she was doing and did a quick search for a band aid. After she handed me 2 band aids-resumed right where she left off in our transaction. I’LL always do business with a company that has a representative like Jennifer.

I have rented storage space from this company in the past in different locations. They have always provided good service but this site is outstanding. The reason is the professional, friendly and personal care by the property manager Leanna. Bait and Switch ScamMonthly Rate:$125.00$1 First Months Rent†:$1.00One-Time Admin Fee:$24.00Total Move-In Cost:$25.00As you can see it clearly stats my TOTAL Move-in Cost are $25I arrived expecting to pay the $25 that sate as my TOTAL.Not the case! Manager takes you to look at unit at which time she nonchalantly hands you a lock and key for the unit. She is planning on adding this to my TOTAL Move-in cost....Then you go through this tablet screen that she scrolls through for you and tells you to read the section and then hit the check box. Which I do as nothing out of the ordinary comes up.Then she nonchalantly pulls out this insurance brochure and proceeds to tell me it is MANDATORY, I must have this insurance on the unit and the cost is $15 per month for $5000 worth of coverage. I tell her that is not mentioned in my reservation. She tells me all storage units REQUIRE IT. If I want to rent the unit I MUST take this insurance. I tell her I am parking a car there which is insured already and I do not need any additional insurance. We go back and forth at least 4 more times me stating this is bait and switch and it was not mentioned in my reservation and that my car is already insured so i do not need it. After she sees I am not going to pay it again she nonchalantly says so you wish to decline it. Well you just told me it was MANDATORY! Now I can decline it? Turns out not mandatory if you have insurance which i told her 4 times I did and turns out she scrolled right past the part in the rental agreement that gave me the right to decline it.Next after that is over. She says your total is $172.... wait a minute I say it is $25 Total move-in cost for special I have my reservation here. Oh so you dont want to prorate it? What am I prorating it is a month to month rental.Next it is now $48... Wait a minute where is my $25 TOTAL mov-in cost.Well you have to pay for that lock and key I nonchalantly handed you out in the parking lot.Scam ARTIST... CRIMINALThis Bait and Switch needs to be shut down and investigated by the state.The manager needs to be arrested as I believe it is a crime what she is doing by hiding the part of the agreement that gives me right to decline the insurance.She is fraudulently trying to make people pay for insurance they do not need.All this in the name of keeping there numbers up at any and all cost.Telling me insurance is MANDATORY and hiding the agreement part that allows me to decline is criminal.

Yolanda took time out to walk me thru the steps of handling my business so that I would not lose my belongings, she also offered words of encouragement in my time of need. At that very moment I realized she was more than a property manager but more of a person who trully cares for others. I will always appreciate that.

***UPDATE 9-27-2018 The district manager, Tarik, called back and apologized, they are reversing the bill. After the initial discomfort, we are pleased with the result and appreciate finally getting communication.***We rented a storage unit after the passing of a loved one, we needed some time to figure out what to do with the belongings. Guy, the onsite employee, was great, very helpful, could not have asked for a more pleasant person to deal with. However, at a corporate level, specifically the regional manager, Jeff, has not had the courtesy to return a call, after Ive left multiple messages. We know we signed a contract that says you pay for the whole month, we returned the keys on Sept 1st at noontime, they still charged $120.00 for a 10x10, not air-conditioned unit. We asked for some sort of discount, they have yet to return the call. I understand a contract is a contract, I understand they have to turn a profit, at least return the call and face it. They are not at 100% occupancy so our unit was not holding them up from renting a unit/turning a profit. There is a storage facility at every corner, do yourself the favor and find another one owned by another company
