Since Great Lakes took over from Whites it has been a lot better store. It was nice shopping there today

Terrible inventory management. Tried to get help finding a plumbing valve that was listed in stock on their site and while the staff was friendly and helpful their computer led us to the paint isle. We could not locate it in the plumbing section and eventually had to give up the search. I also wanted to purchase a screen door that was also listed as in stock on their website. I was informed that they dont even sell screen doors. I will not be returning to this location.

Dan was a huge help. Truly a fantastic employee. He helped me find bolts for my work and made it as stress free as possible! Thanks again Dan! I would return.

I’ve visited this places several times to get something real quick as it is closer than the box stores. Store closes early, don’t have a lot selection, and prices are higher than the box box stores. I don’t really have a good reason to go here

If its hard to find, or you just dont have time for product research, come here. They have it. Its a good product choice. Excellent customer service.

I have always liked the smaller scale hardware stores. This Ace is very near my house, so its far more convenient when I need to pick up small hardware, a single lightswitch, etc. Unfortunately they dont have hardwood lumber, which means I still have to go to the big box stores occasionally, but for most quick home repairs and small projects, this is a great, friendly community store that keeps you out of the blue and orange stores.

Got my propane tank filled for my grill. They charge about $20.00. I have never really compared to other places.

I love walking in and always being greeted by a Red Vest asking what I need help with or what projects Im working on!! Prices might be a little higher than other big box stores but the smaller size and friendly staff make it worth it!!

Kelly was awesome to work with, knowledgeable and very customer service oriented. Ryan seems to be there for a pay check and not customer service oriented at all. He could probably use some additional training.

Even though it is a few hundred miles away from the closest great lake and basically sits on a reservoir, Great Lakes Ace is a fine hardware store.

Was greeted at the door. Very helpful and friendly. I had to have lumber cut to specifications and it took no time at all!

Needed to purchase a weed eater. Found what I wanted and to guarantee it, I purchased it for curbside pickup. In the confirmation email I was instructed to wait until they contact me to pick it up. Next email I get was a cancellation. They are supposed to credit my card the money but that wont show up for a couple of days. It was exactly six minutes between the confirmation and the cancellation. Not happy about this.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Went in for generic lawn fertilizer, left with iron supplement, recommended based on my lawn condition. Always helpful every visit. Thanks! Worth the little extra cost for their knowledge, advice and local location. Especially when you just need a bolt or washer. Save the 15 minute drive to big box stores and shop local!

When you enter the store, you are usually greeted by a supergreetor: a human who will direct you to the precise product you need and guide you through decision making.

They have a wide variety of products with that home town feel. Great place.

Ace has a better selection of nuts and bolts than your typical big box hardware store. The staff are knowledgeable. You wont have to roam the aisles to find help--they typically have an employee staged at the front door, ready to help you! Its a much better experience than todays big box stores!

Staff not wearing masks and no signs asking shoppers to wear masks so of course a few shoppers were not wearing masks. I wanted to buy a couple items from them but I’m not spending money at a place that won’t even enforce bare minimum precautions to keep me and the elderly people I work with healthy.

What a hot mess in that store. Remodeling and way too many employees standing around not helping anyone.

Was in a pinch and stopped in for a hex nut. Easy to find. In and out in about 10 min. Helpful and friendly staff as well.

A call ahead was taken courteously and helpful. Upon arrival I was greeted and offered help. I found my item right away and its always fun to browse a hardware store. No wait at check-out. Its clean and tidy. You pay just a bit more but its usually a more pleasant experience than a big box store.

Great! Im a Menards person but I need a Real Hardware store. ACE is the place with the best service and the services I need like rescreening a window screen. The ability to match screws, bolts etc. or to buy 3 or 7 bolts instead of in a package you cant open or that has an assortment or 20 bolts. The ACE staff is super helpful and knowledgeable! I love ACE!

Once again when I need to know how to fix something they always seem to have an answer or a hack that will provide the solution. And their suggestions dont always require a purchase. Great customer service.

They were rearranging the store and I headed down the wrong aisle, but it was easy to find an employee for redirection. This was my first time in this Ace and was surprised at the selection. They even carry greeting cards and gift bags.

Great employees. Very friendly and helpful. Good supply of a variety of common hardware and home/garden items. As expected a bit more expensive than big box stores, but very convenient.

Depends on the staff there. On some days they great you at the door, ask you what you need, and personally show you where the product is. On other days, they dont do any of that. It is a convenient store, and you can ideally get what you need quickly.

This is a great local hardware store. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. They have a very complete line of products from plumbing to electrical, hardware, and paint. Recommended.

They have what you need, they are close and helpful. The employees dont hide and arent running all over 4 football fields to take care of some corporate task so they dont rush you when trying to find some obscure part. This store is a great example of what the chains goals seem to be.

When there are guys lined up at the door waiting and wanting to walk you to whatever you need, youre doing something right as a professional business. ACE is a little pricier than Lowes or Home Depot but getting right to what you need and back out the door in that amount of time is worth the difference to me, my time is money.

I came in looking for license plate screws for my car, and one of their associates went above and beyond and took out several screws, figured out the right ones and installed them for me. It made my trip here very pleasant and quick! Fantastic customer service, and I will definitely come back if I need to.

Great place to pick up things you need. The people are always friendly and willing to help.

Support your local business. They may not have everything like a big box store but they have most of what we need and the customer service is great. If you ask a plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting question... they typically have someone that has real world experience to help. AND they are honest in saying we dont have what you need but I would head to this place to get what you need. Price may be a little higher but I know Im willing to pay a bit versus driving in town to go to a bigger store. Gas alone in my truck will exceed me just going there to get what I need!

Im pretty annoyed with the paint department. I frequent this Ace Hardware almost weekly. I usually have a decent experience but today was ridiculous. I brought in a gallon of paint that I had purchased last spring from this Ace. I needed it to be shaken because it had separated so much that stirring wasnt fixing it.I walked up to the paint counter where three elderly men were standing. No one greeted me. I had to said hello and asked if they could shake the paint up for me. Without missing a beat, all of them said no or shook their head. Without any explanation I was told they dont shake paint cans that have already been opened. Curious, considering they have to open the cans to tint the paint before they shake them.I left and headed to Lowes where the person working the paint desk did not hesitate to agree to mix the paint. I told him about my experience at Ace and he explained that, with older paint cans, its possible that the seal isnt very good and that paint may seep out while being shaken. He then said he would inspect the seal and if it wasnt very clean, he would just dump it into a new, empty can and shake it.Clearly, the guys at the paint desk at the Fishers Ace Hardware dont care about service. Congratulations, you just lost a customer.

UPDATE - They don’t carry what their site says they carry (this time Weed&Feed). It’s hard to support local businesses w/ clueless owners. Sale went to Amazon. Loss of another ⭐️.They just missed out on a hugely profitable sale to the Do It Center bc they think it’s a good idea to close at 6 on a Saturday.

Purchased a brand new Craftsman push mower. It was assembled, lubed and fueled as per manufacturer instructions. First mow it ran very poorly, revving up and down, and did not seem to have a lot of power for a 140cc lawn mower. One week later I tried to start it, took 7 pulls even after being primed. Fast forward another week and after 12 pulls it will not start.Called Ace, they told me to go to one repair shop, went there and was told no, we dont do craftsman warranties and we dont know why they told you to come here. Went to ace and was told to use sears repair center. Was told there that they dont do mowers and I would have to go to another shop. Called Ace once again and they could not tell me where to take my mower, only that we would need to go to a craftsman repair center.Was disappointed as Ace is usually pretty good in my experience, but this certainly has turned the tide for me and I dont plan on patronizing the Fishers Ace any longer.

I have been to the Geist Ace Hardware several times, and they are friendly and very helpful. They have an excellent paint department with items I cant get at some of the big box stores.

Blade sharpening is exceptionally priced at $7.00 a blade!

5 stars for employees knowledgeable of store policies. 0 stars for store policies.Many items available for much cheaper online, however you cant order them and pick them up in store, despite ace having them in stock. Instead you have to order and wait a week for that particular one to come in.Also cant use thier online deals from your phone or the coupon they have sitting right next to the register in piles, you need to go home and print that off your phone.The only reason I still made a purchase is because my kid wanted to put lights up immediately, otherwise all future purchases will continue to be made at home depot/lowes/Meijer where both of these policies are not in place, aka customer first.
