Our remodel timeframe fell during a pandemic, when all six of us were home the entire time our whole first floor was being remodeled. My kids were being taught by me, my husband was working from the home office, and we had a huge remodel going on at the same time. Guess what? Our experience with New Design, Inc. was positive from the very start of our interaction until the very last item was finished. We are so so so (did I say so yet?) thrilled with the entire outcome of our remodel! Our project was a very large job with tons variables. We needed headers, rerouting of water and electrical, walls came down, a fireplace went up, flooring was installed throughout the entire first floor, our main floor powder room was an added side project. It was a huge undertaking and I am so glad we went with a company that made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. They were clean, kind, respectful, responsive, easy to work with, and thorough through it all. Such a great company to work with! Needless to say, I highly recommend New Design, Inc.!

New Design just finished my first ever kitchen remodel. I could not be more pleased with the process and finished product. The kitchen is more than I dreamed it would be. Not only is it gorgeous, their attention to detail in layout and design is amazing. I have received SO many compliments on the transformation they made in my home. They were always on top of any issue that popped up and made the entire process hassle free. I later added a powder room to my job and the outcome was just as great. The sink solution to a tiny powder room made the space not only more functional but ashtetically pleasing. Even though it was a small add on after the fact, they made sure it was done right. Thank you so very much for this breathtaking transform.

I had an absolutely perfect experience with New Design. Rick Dajos was my designer. He came out as soon as I made a phone call and gave me his ideas! He really listened to what I wanted out of the redesign! He asked questions and looked at my storage situation etc. I was then assigned a project manager, John. He set up a calendar so I knew what was happening every day. Every person that came to my house was completely professional. Now for the best part...I LOVE my kitchen. They gave me ideas to SAVE money! Stayed within my budget and transformed my space! I couldn’t be happier!! Would recommend them 💯!

New Design and the people that work there are the BEST! We had our kitchen remodeled by them almost 2 years ago and live in a suburb on the east side. It was summer and they had to travel with 696 being shutdown. They were on time and came every single day. The workmanship was outstanding and the Project Manager was extremely patient with us. Work was completed on time and beautiful. Just recently we had someone come out to do a couple of tweaks and between the receptionist and Jerry, I was even more impressed. The professionalism and follow up was incredible! Thank you New Design, you are the best!

New design remodeled the kitchen and dining room of our 1904 farmhouse. It was a big job that included taking down a load bearing wall between the kitchen in the dining room. New design did a great job for a reasonable price. We love our new kitchen. Our designer Jordon was excellent to work with and very responsive to all our tweaks leading up to kick off. All the trades people that we dealt with from day today were extremely professional and more than once I heard the phase “Let’s do this right”, and “If this was my house this is how I would do it.” One small complaint is sometimes we would have liked a bit more communication initiated from New Designs side as the work progressed but it’s not nearly enough to knock a star off. We would use them again without hesitation. Thanks New Design!Wanted to add photos but don’t see a way here.

New Desgin Inc. came out to the house and took the time to listen to what we wanted for a new kitchen. We wanted 42cabinets but we did not think we would be able to have the taller cabinets due to our angled ceiling.We asked for two designs one to remove a wall that had a pantry and one without removing the wall. (We removed the wall)I was able to see the design within one week and Graham was so excited to show us the plans because they figured out a way to do the 42 cabinets. I was extremely surprised on the cost of the kitchen. I was expecting a much higher price for the quality of the cabinet design and the fixtures. I have to say we were not expecting to really be able to afford a new kitchenMy boss at the time used home depot for their kitchen and her husband did all the work. Home depot measured the kitchen wrong and were not able to provide some of the items that they wanted for the kitchen. Plus the design had to be changed due to incorrect measurements. The cost was much more!!! The cabinets were not as nice as mine. She was so disappointed after seeing my kitchen and how much less it cost. Not to mention less of a hassle. It took them year to complete their kitchen.We were working on a new Master Bathroom design before we met with New Design. (We had purchased almost all the items but we had a delay due to husband diagnosis of Cancer) We asked New Design for a price on a custom bathroom vanity and it was almost 1/2 of the price from another special order from Wittock. Awesome! So we got our bathroom vanity too from them.Travis the Contract Manager worked on keeping communication between all contractors current. Trey the contractor who installed the cabinets and did the trim work is very fast and does amazing work. The corner piece for the trim work looks amazing. Very talented man. The kitchen was completed in a timely manner.We did have them change out the wire lazy susan to wood and they did not charge us for that exchange.Our kitchen is amazing and I love our sink and faucet!!Thank you New Desgin for our beautiful kitchenSarah

I had my kitchen upgraded to include new cabinets, new quartz counter top, new birch floor throughout the first floor, new cabinets in the laundry room, new fixtures and lighting fixtures, tiled back splash, and paint. New Design was nearly half the price of the other contractors we had quote for the project. The process of working with the design/sales consultant, Rick, was excellent. He was very attentive to our wants and needs. He offered excellent options to us and gave us great ideas. The work started right on time and everyone, from the demo crew, to the carpentry, plumber, electrical, painter, etc. were excellent. Tim, our carpenter for the project, was very particular when hanging our new cabinets and installing the new back splash. He obviously had pride in his workmanship. Franco the painter is probably the best painter out there. Any concerns I had during the whole project were addressed immediately by our project manager Travis. The materials used were all high end. The whole process from beginning to end was very easy and simple. I enthusiastically recommend New Design to anyone! A++!

We were looking to do a minor kitchen redesign and I was looking at all the major department stores and felt very overwhelmed by the lack of knowledge, advice and unclear choices. I happened to drive by New Design and went in to get ideas. Richard greeted me with a friendly smile and asked what I was trying to accomplish. I literally said something not super expensive but classy. I gave him my budget and he finished the rest! He came to our home, made suggestions and never oversold us on things we didnt need. So, clearly honest people. All the contractors that came in were friendly, thorough and did an amazing job. Sam was so kind and hooked up a water line that Best Buy couldnt do. We ran into one tiny issue with stock on tile. I was called, pictures sent and they resolved it in a matter of minutes! I am so happy with my new kitchen! Thank you to the entire team at New Design to make my 1995 kitchen look like new!

If I could give this place no stars I would. The service we received from Jordan was horrible. Has set up appointment to be canceled. Which is fine. Bad weather. We understand that. We call to re schedule and he tip toes around the idea. We finally got him to come out, take a look and thought we were on the right track. He informed us we would get our quote the next day. Next day rolls around and didn’t receive anything. Fine, things happen but here we are 9 days later and not even a phone call or email to at least inform us. If you didn’t want to waste your time on our small kitchen just be upfront and we could have gone elsewhere. Thank you Jordan for wasting our time when we could be getting service elsewhere. I would not advise this company to others.

New Design, Inc. recently helped me with a bathroom/laundry room update. We needed a new tub/shower enclosure for the bathroom, and new plumbing and wiring for a laundry room on the second floor of our house. They provided us with the locking tub and shower surround, and fixtures, that were TOP OF THE LINE. The quality was far better than anything available at Home Depot or Lowes. Two men were needed to complete the project, an electrician and a plumber. Both were licensed and knowledgeable. They each offer suggested that saved both money and time, and improved efficiency.

I decided to go with New Design for a remodel of my bath and kitchen, and Im very pleased by the work they did. New design did a great job at working around my budget. Quality service starting with the sales staff all the way down to the installation crew. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for grade A product and service for a discounted price.

After deciding to have my kitchen completely remodeled I called 3 different companies in the Genesee county area, and 1 from Oakland county to get pricing and ideas for how it should be done. Shortly after meeting with the final one a friend of mine told me I should give Richard from New Design a call. Boy am i sure glad I did. First, his professionalism and accommodation blew me away. He was able to meet me on my schedule which was a problem for the other companies. Secondly, the technology he uses was far superior to the competition and allowed me to see what the finished product would look like. Thirdly, and in my opinion most importantly, his vision for my project was out of this world great. He didnt seem like a typical contractor, he seemed more like a high-end designer without the high-end prices. Finally, his price seemed more than fair and upon agreeing to have the job done his crew was every bit as nice and professional as he. Im not one who normally writes reviews on companies, but the product and service I received from New Design was totally worthy of the time it takes. Take it from me, New Design will do a great job. We met with the designer (Rick) and he was great got everything ordered for our new house (kitchen & bathrooms). Once our cabinets were delivered we had nothing but problems, the custom garbage drawer took 5 months for them to get correct after multiple calls and problems. They also gave us the wrong color trim which we had to make multiple calls about and my husband finally just went in and picked up the correct stuff. The project manager was a joke, he wouldnt return phone calls or emails. We eventually had to go directly to the owner to get our issues corrected. At the time of our project we were extremely dissatisfied and would not have recommend this company. Since our project the project manager we worked with has been fired and I am told they have implemented new scheduling systems to make sure what happened to us will not happen again. We recently had a service call and our service professional (Allen) was extremely knowledgeable, on time, friendly and did a great job. We love our cabinets they are beautiful and quality made. Our kitchen and bathrooms look great and we always receive complements on them. I am happy the company made the necessary changes to fix the issues they were having and we plan to use them again when we finish our basement.

We hired NDI to remodel our 25 year old kitchen, and they did a wonderful job! I CANNOT express how happy we were with the timely communications by the staff, the special attention they gave our job, the choices we had for the cabinets, counter tops, hardware.....everything went smoothly and seamlessly. If the workers were supposed to show-up at 10:00am, they were at our house at 9:59am. There are horror stories out there about contractors, and we were a bit reluctant initially to believe that our job was going to go as smoothly as the NDI staff said it would (from Graham, Travis, and Tray, all the way down the ladder), but it truly did. My husband and I still cant quite grasp how beautiful their work and quality is.....and NDI came in at budget with many extras that other companies were not offering. Cant say enough good things about them.

We hired New Design to remodel the small shower room in our master bedroom. We had outdated tile, almost no storage space and the shower itself was cramped. Their original proposal would look gorgeous but would still not provide us with as much storage space as we needed. So we worked with Richard to come up with a layout that was still great looking and utilized space as efficiently as possible..We are extremely pleased with the end result. We now have more storage, a larger shower with beautiful design, and yet it actually makes the space look and feel bigger. Richard is easy to work with, he has very good design taste and, equally important, he listens to his customers and adapts his proposal to their ideas. Without that kind of collaboration it would be difficult to achieve the results we were looking for..There were some issues and mix ups and delays - they are allmost guaranteed on such projects - but they were taken care of without much fuss. Communication was good overall. We will definitely consider them at the top of the list for our next large project.

We hired New Design Inc to remodel out kitchen and what a fantastic job they did. From our meeting with Rick to help desk and plan our remodel, to John and his team kicking butt everyday. Less than 6 weeks for a full gut and remodel. The whole team was very friendly and professional. It was a nice touch that every worker that can in our house greeted me and my wife by name every time. Before they started work for the day they would go over there plan and made sure any and all questions were answered. We couldnt be hapoier with the whole experience! New Design, over the last three years, has remodeled our kitchen, designed a barrier free master bath and installed a walk in tub in our hall bathroom.The installers were always on time or if running late, we always received a phone call. The space wasnt originally designed well and Richard recommended a reworking of the room that would utilize the space better. They have completely transformed the space and we could not be happier with the finished result! We appreciated their great attention to detail from the onset of the project to the last steps. Any issues along the way were handled quickly. There was an issue with the shipping of the faucet we wanted and New Design went above and beyond to make sure that we got what we wanted quickly so as not to slow down the process. After communicating by phone and email, setting up a time for someone to come out and look at our kitchen to give us an estimate, this company was a no-show and still hasnt returned my calls or emails after several weeks. This company is a joke and your time and money is better spent elsewhere.

We had our kitchen remodeled with new cupboards, counter-tops, and flooring. Rick Dajos was helpful in the design and with the difficult decisions about materials and styles used. During the project all the contractors were friendly, meticulous about their work, and patient with our questions. We are extremely happy with the outcome.

We hired them to do our bathroom. They provided the absolutely worst experience I have ever had with anyone we have ever hired. No communication and terrible Workmanship. I will never use this place again.

I thought this was a good company to choose for a new kitchen I was wrong the salesman Jordan was very nice and kind but sucks Im returning calls and when I call him he says oh I was busy and I forgot to call you back I went with Home Depot they were the same price as new design . I would not recommend anybody using new design and less you have a huge project I feel they are just in it for the money my project was little so they pretty much said not interested by the not return phone calls .

Unless you have a big job that is easy dont bother with this company. They only want to make easy money and wont help you if you need just a few things. All we needed were a couple kitchen cabinets to match what we already have. They carry the brand we needed. They were very slow to respond to calls and emails. They set up a time to come out to measure so we made sure we were available. They never showed up and never called. They wont respond to any calls or emails. Dont bother with this company. They could care less about customer service. Go elsewhere. These people are a joke. They wasted our time.

Came into my home (shoes on) and quoted me $7k. Went into another local shop with exact detentions and was quoted $3k. They will quote you based on your house size and residential area and not by the job. They dont treat all customers equal. SMH

Very disappointed in scheduling and the workers showing up on time. We hired them a few years back to do a bathroom remodel and it was great. Now we went back for a smaller job and they really had little interest in doing the job or scheduling it. I am not sure what has changed there, but it is very disappointing.

My full kitchen remodel experience with the New Design team has been amazing and stress-free. From the initial planning meetings with Rick Dajos (sales & design consultant), through the months of demo/construction until the very last meeting, I had zero complaints and my kitchen is now gorgeous.I admit that I had some qualms about hiring one company to handle the start-to-finish project because I had been advised that sub-contracting each piece of the process out would save me money. However, when I saw how many tasks had to be coordinated over the past couple of months, I quickly realized I would have never had the time or the energy to do it and would have lost added funds in missed time at work to be a project coordinator. The team even removed a main load-bearing wall and the outcome is a wide-open living space with no hint of where the old wall used to be.Every member of the New Design team was respectful and they took every precaution to keep the other parts of my home clean and livable. Communication during every stage of the process was fantastic and even at the final meeting, there were small things that Rick noticed and had fixed so the end result was up to the New Design standards.I highly recommend New Design!

My wife and I spent over 25,000 dollars with New Design. They did our kitchen and bathroom. The work on the installation was TERRIBLE. The sink in the kitchen wobbled and the disposal didnt work. But it gets worse. After our pull-out garbage broke, they essentially refused to service it. When I went in and asked about their unprofessional behavior, they said I wasnt a regular customer and it would be weeks before they could do anything. This was a personal response to me when I confronted them at their store, because they refused to return my phone calls. It has been months since the garbage broke and I have no idea when they will fulfill their responsibility.

A friend of mine recommended me to New Design and I am extremely happy with the quality of service,attention to detail, trustworthiness .I love my new kitchen and I am planning to remodel my two bathrooms with this company .They are very professional and I trust them completely!I would refer anyone to New Design needing help with a project!

Absolutely wonderful company to work for and I plan to use the quality products and installers to remodel my kitchen and bathrooms.

I think that this has to be the worst experience with a contractor that I have ever had. I am no stranger to the building trade, as I have built, flipped and remodeled several homes myself. Only because of current obligations and lack of available time, did I decide to hire an outside firm and pay a premium for it. A six week bathroom remodel took almost 6 MONTHS! I personally installed the tile inside the shower, the bathroom floor, as well handled the paint and trim for this project. I really dont know how these guys can be so terrible. There has been countless re-work on this project, no project management, and nothing but complete incompetence. Its been completely up to me, to provide quality control for this project. I cant help but feel that they hire the lowest bidding contractors to perform the work, and only bring in a qualified individual after two or three failed attempts to correct any and all issues. Some of them even showed up and asked me what it is that they were supposed to be doing. Weve gone through 3 carpenters, 2 plumbers, 2 drywall contractors and 2 tile contractors. There were several no shows and excuses as to why we would have to wait for the next contractor to arrive. Some days, wed have a single contractor show up for only 2 hours. The logistics of this business are completely flawed.They sold me on a list of materials and promise that this would be perfect. We provided the design, and they just needed to make it fit. Other than ordering the materials for the job, they provided no oversight to the design aspect of the project. We spent weeks on end, just going over how to frame up and trim out a shower door opening!! This involved the removal and reinstallation of framing and tile 3 different times!My interior walls were damaged, my kitchen ceiling was damaged, the plumbing in the shower and tub was leaking, which caused a puddle of water to form on my kitchen floor. We had to cut out two sections of my kitchen ceiling to repair the leaks.My bathroom is now complete, and is beautiful, but only because of several months of re-work and my own personal attention to detail and oversight. Theyve just finished repairing the damaged drywall and repainting those areas. Weve lost so much time to include vacation days, cancelled gatherings at our home, and my wifes entire maternity leave. The entire process has been beyond stressful for us.I have had several conversations with the owner, and he has given me his word that he is making changes internally to address the overall management of the projects. If you should choose to use New Design or any other design firm for your project, I would suggest the following:1. Get the following in writing, That a qualified project manager will be onsite at least once a week to oversee and provide quality control for the project. They should agree to pay a penalty if they do not provide this service to you. After all, you are paying a premium for their services.2. Ask to see all materials that are to be used on your project, even if they are just pictures. Have those items listed and attached to your contract.3. Ask if they will be using sub-contractors for the job, and how long those subs have been working for the company.

Please dont hire this company. The people in charge are incompetent. The project manager (who clearly didnt want to be bothered with a smaller job) showed up exactly twice (over a 2+ month timeframe) - one of the 2 times he didnt even let us know he was in our house. The plumber created such a mess it cost us $500 more to fix it (we hired an outside contractor). Our toilet was re-allocated to another job and we waited an extra 5 days to get one installed. We finally became so tired of their inability to get the most simple things accomplished, we told them they were not allowed to send anyone from New Design back to our house. Our bathroom is fine - the specifics we wanted (heated floor, heater/fan combination, and the handheld in the shower) are good to have, but these were our ideas - not those of the designer. And this job was certainly not the type seen on those TV shows - it was a simple, straightforward renovation of a bathroom. I would not only NEVER use these people again, I simply cannot recommend them to anyone wanting to renovate their bathroom - or any other room in their home.

I wouldnt give a 1 star but had to in order to leave comment. I called for an estimate on a countertop, the guy they gave my call to set a time and date up, he was 15 minutes late by the time he called to let me know he was 10 minutes away, but showed up an hour later..... he was a tad arrogant and high strung. I had a conversation with him as to why I wanted to stay as inexpensive as possible ( our current countertop is peeling from a DIY project) and my cupboards are 50+ years old. He measured what he had to, assured me I would receive an email from him within the hour with estimate, I found it odd since the only type of counters we discussed (briefly) were butcher block, he was at my house for 5 mins tops, was in a hurry to run out, that was 2 weeks ago, still never received an email.... went with another company needless to say.

Best company for kitchen and bathrooms remodeling!

The most disreputable service ever. A 3-6 week job took 6 months. Then they decided to take us to court over a $2,000 balance that they never tied to call us about. We are having our ceiling redone due to the mess made by a dry-waller they said they fired after our job.They are not fit to remain in business.

We worked with Richard on a large project including: replacing floors in entry, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. New Design also installed new cabinets in kitchen, bathroom, and dining room/butler pantry, all porcelain tile flooring, all with Quartz counter tops. We also added a new frameless glass door for the tub/shower to boot.Richard helped design and arrange the modern look to our satisfaction. This was not a small job! This took approximately 7 weeks to complete. Richard was onsite frequently to check on progress. If there was a question or adjustment on an item they sent out someone to help or observe the correction that needed to be made. I talked to most of the crew that was onsite because I am a stickler on details- I kept in touch with Richard and his team as communication always seems to make sure all are on the right track for a successful project. We made some adjustments on the fly when necessary because diagrams/prints can only give you a partial view as you start a project (i.e. changed handle positions on cabinet doors-etc)We are very happy with how our project turned out and we are looking forward to entertaining friends and family in our new digs! I am sure they will be impressed-we have already had some inquiries about who did our project and we have recommended them to New Design.

I had Graham come out to my house and measure for my cabinets and they did not have the common decenty to call me back or anything

New Designs came out and did a great job on my total kitchen remodel! I couldnt be happier!
