Im a former employee, and this place was a sugar-coated Hell. They broke so many labor laws its not even funny; I often found myself working alone from open to close on Sundays, which is a massive violation on its own. That meant I never once got a break and I would be there for almost seven hours. On the days I was there only four or five hours, I was still by myself and never got breaks as required via labor law. If I wanted to go to the bathroom, I had to make sure there werent any customers in the store, bring down the gate, and go as quickly as possible so I could bring the gate back up.On top of that, they dont use electronic time cards to stamp in the actual time someone comes in or leaves. Doing this helps them stay cheap by cutting bits of time off of employees so they dont have to pay them a penny more of their mediocre wage that they dont want to; for example, one night during closing procedures, I called the manager because the register and drawer were somehow short. It tacked on an extra fifteen minutes to solve the problem and I clocked out at 9:45; when I came in the next day, someone had written over my Time Out slot and put 9:30 in its place. Who knew a few extra cents to make sure I did my job right would trigger someone enough to change my time so that I wouldnt get paid for that additional time I spent there? Bet I would have been reemed if I had just left the register and drawer messed up to write the time out of 9:30 they wanted so badly.I was never given any flexibility in my hours, even during the summer when I wasnt in university. I was always brought in to close, even on the 4th of July. That caused me to only get $90 checks, if I was lucky, every two weeks because they refused to give me more hours despite being available to do so. Even if I had been given hours after finishing up at university for the day, I would have still wound up by myself with a massive cleaning list to tackle because everyone else (except for one or two other workers) was too lazy to do it.I was never allowed to sit down while we were slow, even if it was to work on something that required focusing, or if I had already taken care of the unGodly long cleaning list. (And when I visited not too long ago, I saw a guy sitting in a chair playing on his phone. If I had done that, I wouldve gotten chewed out.) I was once left an entire list of cleaning to do while working alone just as the new manager was leaving, who hadnt done any of it her entire shift. I was in the store until 10:30 (an hour and a half after close) at night finishing up that list on top of the closing procedures. Needless to say, my anxiety took over and I broke down crying after being belittled and having typical workday stress.I was also accused of partying because my Facebook was stalked and I was tagged in pictures that I wasnt even seen in. I was off on a Saturday, which was rare, and had already made plans. They called to see if I could come in, but I told them I was off and not coming in. One of my friends posted pictures of her and another friend playing Uno at my table and tagged me in them. I wasnt in them because I was helping our third friend with her homework. How thats partying is beyond me.Management makes it very clear how little they care about and regard their employees by allowing all of the following and probably much more to happen. I regret not taking these complaints up to the Labor Board while still an employee there. It would have been beyond glorious to see the dumbfounded looks on their faces when the heavy fine would drop on their heads. Hopefully, some other soul unfortunate enough to work there, or even worse, is dealing with similar experiences, is brave enough to take it up. Ill gladly be with them vicariously.Bottom line: Go there for the *expensive* candy, not the worthless job. Youll leave there feeling unimportant, used, and regretting even asking for an application. Seeing the gate down on their store permanently will leave behind nothing but satisfaction.

The girl who works there with short hair and a lip piercing was talking on the phone the entire time I was there. I had to wait for get to get off the phone before she would help me.
