I enjoyed the food after a long drive from ice fishing. I was glad to have a sit down restaurant. I read through many of the negative reviews and would like to just say. This is a truck stop restaurant a customer has to speak up with the person serving them not wait until you have felt neglected. This place should not be judged by the service but the taste of the food. Which is is they best truck stop restaurant I have enjoyed so far. I had the Tbone steak cooked perfect at medium and the Fried shrimp. Delicious. My son enjoyed the waffle.

Ive been here plenty of times - honestly for a truck stop the food is pretty good!But I strongly advise not dining in unless you love listening to Fox News and hardcore conservatives bicker about politics. Im not telling anyone what politics to follow, but literally its all youre going to hear about and these guys are not quiet.5-stars for food, 1-star for what is honestly a miserable dining atmosphere.

On some trucker apps this place advertised at $2.55 per gallon. And when I get here its at $2.89. Of course I passed up cheaper prices before getting here as I believe this place.Its DIRTY AND EXPENSIVE.Thats my take. Good luck drivers BE SAFE.!

Old timey Cafe experience with the ambiance you would expect from a understaffed truck stop diner. Prices a little high, but the food was delicious.

Stopped for evening meal,6:30 ordered,chopped steak&hashbrowns,an salad,waitress returned with salad,waited,an waited,finally 7:15 waitress came back an ask if the salad was all I was having,said she took the order an salad was part of the meal special .She forgot to give order to cook! What the hell.she apologize ed.Never again.Was only 6 people in the restaurant. This the second time,last time she gave me my drink,but never came back for an order,talk about worthless help?

Last time I was here I ordered a pizza burger, it could have used seasoning on the patty. Had none.Today I ordered a Gyro. Its the frozen Opaa you get in the frozen food section at your local supermarket. I advise against ordering this item. You get 4 paper thin slices of meat, lettuce, tomatoes and red onion that has been in the fridge and so long it dehydrated itself. Not impressed with this menu item. They need Damien back cooking. The service is very good however so that is why I gave a 3 star review

Had beef tips and mashed potatoes. One piece of meat. Had to ask the dishwasher for our sides. Use to love this place. Wont be back again.

Had the fire roasted pulled pork, with lightly salted sweet potato fries, and jalapeno cheese curds. The sandwich is great, however the sauce (honey bbq) was kinda bland, but the pork was crispy!The sweet potato was amazing! Had an amazing crunch, and it was nice, an meaty! The cheese curds was unbelievable, actually the best I ever had from WI. It had a well balance of cheesey-ness, and the slow after burn.

I was there a few weeks ago and the bathroom was filthy. Came back today thinking they would have been cleaned since then and they werent. The white porcelain of the urinal looked like garlic bread and it smelled like a port a potty on the last day of state fair. So disgusting and Ill never go back.

The waitress was sweet and kept checking on me. Food was good and plentiful. This is the place to come when you are hungry.

I come here about once a week usually at night after work. Ive never had a poor experience during the night crews hours. They have all been fantastic and polite, otherwise this would be 1 star. They are all saints.I came in today for lunch, with a party of three. We were given two sodas that were flat. I understand the Co2 needs to get changed but what is unacceptable is our waitress saying oh I know. I cant change that, the dishwasher just left and the cook will get down there when he can. Serving flat soda is unacceptable when you knowingly do so. It took 20 minutes to remedy this.We ordered two breakfast entrees and one lunch entree. Our waitress didnt know that the order was a burger for the name of the burger from the menu. Thats ok things happen maybe shes a new waitress. I was informed she had been here for some time. Still thats ok.The fries were served cold, they had been rushed through the frying process. The two orders of hash browns were uncooked and soggy. The biscuits were cold. The bacon on the burger was excellent cut and quality, but it was raw. In short, all of the food was prepared on rush and we had to remind our waitress 3 times on the soda and one time on the sides. Things happen, people have off days, but this, this was unfortunately very disheartening and if the server had shown interest in the job she was performing we would have felt that our concerns past the soda would have been vetted accordingly.Customer Count was between 6 - 8 tables with 1 to go order. Two waitresses working at the time. 3 phone calls while we were here. The cook ran outside to get a wrench for the Co2, thank goodness, but why werent the proper tools here. We were in about 1:00pm Im not mad, Im disappointed in everything I experienced. I hope that the new owners that Ive heard good things about can use this as a training exercise.

Been to the restaurant twice and both times have had fabulous food. I have health conditions to where I cant have salt and to know they give me the option to salt my food is awesome. The staff friendly, restaurant clean and not a bad location. My husband and I were amazed and definitely look forward to eating there again. I would recommend this restaurant.

The Stretch Truck Stop & Restaurant is recent remodeled and has excellent Home type cooking, tasty food and a friendly, efficient staff. I highly recommend You try the Stretch!

Very reasonable prices, clean diner and restrooms. Clean c-store with A+coffee. Lots of truck parking, perfect place for truckers. The loaded biscuit and gravy bowl topped with scrambled eggs and sausage is heavenly. Perfect pancakes. The menu is one of the cheapest weve seen and the food is great and the diner is clean.

This was are 1st. time here... food was fabulous, service was stellar, portions were plentiful and prices were very reasonable 🥰 We will definitely be returning here anytime we are in the area, it is now on our favorites list. Thank you to everyone who works there for the wonderful experience we will definitely recommend this stop to all of our trucker friends, friends, and family.

The breakfast here was delicious. We each asked for a cup of coffee and were given a pot each. (I always drink decaf). The waitress was the only one there this morning. A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO AMY B. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! Food was great and the prices were even better!!!

I was thinking about passing this place because of the rating. I’m glad I didn’t. The food was decent, the service fast and polite. I guess they had to up their game a notch because of the reviews.

Been here since 1:47 pm, now 2:30 pm, still waiting for order. Good food sure, but when your a driver time is valuable. Now have to eat fast and go. Asked waitress, said shift change, so apparently 1 customer per hour after 2pm.6-15-19Two months later, came in, been 25 minutes before order even taken. Staff situation isnt under control. Use to be a good place to stop in and go. Manager needs to do something.

I thought this establishment would get a top rating.I did not receive the crackers I asked for nor did I receive butter for my baked potato and had to wait a long time for my check.The place was not very crowded butI did receive friendly service and good food.I had the Turkey with cranberry sauce.

Over the years the place has had its ups and downs but every time Anna is working she gives it 110%. One night she was doing all the stations and she made a great tasting Pizza burger. Food is always good when when she is around. She is what keeps the place running.

Ive gone to the stretch numerous times and never had a problem, however today was not one of those times. Went today with my mom for breakfast. Waitress came right away with our drinks, but left right away. We waited upwards of 35 minutes without the waitress even showing up. At one point I had let one of the waiters know about our wait, but he simply said were backed up before leaving our table. Would have loved a good egg but didnt get to place my order.

First time there. Sat down and the server came over. The server, Alexis, didnt smile once the entire service. It seemed as though she didnt want to be there. She was standoffish as well. When I ordered the country fried steak dinner she had no idea what came with the dinners. She started to walk away. I had to call her back and tell her my soup order. She also didnt know a choice of potato came with it. When our food came out we had to wait for her to bring silverware. She asked if we needed anything else and I told her my fries. She said they were on their way. I waited 15 minutes for her to come back to check on us and still hadnt had my entire order. She said she would get it. She came over again and I was still waiting on the fries. Meanwhile she was standing around drinking and eating. She finally brought my fries after I was finished with my meal. Ive been in the service industry for 14 years. I would understand if it was busy but the restaurant only had 12 people in at this point. When we were finishing up the person I was with had to remind her about the to go order that she ordered at the beginning of the meal. She said it was on it way. I then heard her go to the kitchen and tell them she forgot to put the order in. When it came time to give us the bill she threw them on the table and walked away. When we gave her our cards and slips to sign she forgot my credit card. I wouldnt have tipped her except she stood at the table and watched what we tipped. It was extremely rude. While the food was good the service was horrendous. Unfortunately I will not be back.

The bacon was perfect, french toast was good. But if you are not from the area you probably wont like the biscuits and gravy. I took one bite and didnt like. They are definitely made different here then they are most places

Wow STRETCH REALLY SUCKS .both service and quality...sure was not like that a few years ago with old owners...first of all called restaurant and said no one was there to take our call..waited awhile and called back and the waitress was very rude and said she couldnt hear me and hung up the phone...so called back and finally got someone...we ordered country friend steak and eggs...I went in to pick up the order and the chubby cashier who has been there for years. Now is very unfriendly... got food home and we only ate part of it and the rest went in the trash...worse meal ever from there...we use frequent that restaurant but not no more for sure...the older waitresses are no longer there..it was nice to go there a few years ago but never ever again...patty

Good burger. Waitress handling the whole place by herself and was spread a little thin but was pleasant and efficient. A much better service experience than you would have expected.

The food was excellent. The bacon was cooked perfectly. I know the other reviews trash the service because they dont have a lot of workers but I had great quick service. Even if I had to wait a while, the quality of food would have made it worth it.

Usually pretty good with customers service went in tonight the 10/13/2019 at 7pm sat there for 15 minutes not a employee to be found got up and an employee finally emerged from the back asked are you leaving like ya iv only been waiting for 15 minutes and no one to be found

I see why they have such poor ratings. Went there this evening after the Miss Fond Du Lac Pageant. Food was sub-par at best and the Service was worse. The waitresses attitude absolutely sucked. This was my first time going back since 2007, and I will never go back again. Now I see why everyone says the Stretch sucks!

My waitress Kiara was so kind and very attentive, restaurant was clean, great sweet tea and great food. By the way, is Amy still works here you need to fire her for the love of God. She doesnt know how to do her job let alone treat people with respect and common human decency

So I went there after they recovered from the grease fire. Ok, the food is better but was overserved, two people asking how my food was every moment, alright calm down, the food is good.Then I went back, ok. Food, not so good. Well its still good if they cook it, they would have known my burger was raw but the waitress ran out the door after dropping off my food to go do errands.I am a glutton for punishment. I go back and the food and service was better, not great, took a long time to get recognized. Maybe this whole seat yourself thing isnt working out, ironically funny if they call the place the Bermuda triangle.On my prior visit, I kinda caught the wind the food is good but the service sketchy, service and servers....So my last visit, waited a good 10 minutes before just saying the hell with it.Stretch is a hit or miss you should probably pass on

Wont be going back. This was are Friday night go to place for dinner but not anymore! I ordered steak and potatoes Al la carte, the waitress ask how I wanted my steak I said medium, and the potato baked plain, no butter, no sour cream. I ordered a side salad plain. Simple correct? I thought so. I received a chicken fried steak smothered in gravy, a baked potato, mixed vegetables, a roll, and a salad. I ate the salad. The diet I am on only allows me to eat the salad. When I questioned the waitress she informed me that Ala carte means whatever they want. Well I mean BYE BYE to an old faithful customer. My husband did not like the fish either. So BYE BYE from him too!

Ordered Sunday mid moring for a pick up and when I got home with the food we werent happy. No one finished there food we all threw it away. The eggs didnt even taste good, we asked for cheese sauce for over the hashbrowns and the just threw a slice of cheese on it. What a waste of my money .Not very happy

I have no problems with small mom and pop businesses. But, when you dont take care of the quality of service then you dont deserve to have a business in the first place.I have no issues with waitress Im sure she was doing her best for the condition of her work environment. Im sure she gets frusted too.I ordered a ribeye and it was the greasiest, rubbery, over cooked piece of meat? I ever had... maybe Im spoiled or people around here have no idea what real meat tastes like.My order was placed and served in a reasonable amount of time...Whoever runs this place should be concerned withn quality instead of trying to cut cornes to make more money out of poor quality food.

Very poor service this morning. Only 1 waitress working she took our drink order and never came back. 20 minutes later after flagging her down took our food order. Then watching other tables that came in after us found out they lost our ticket but never bothered to tell us. Mind you we were 1 of 3 groups in the restaurant this was at 5:05 am. To top this off got the order wrong. Finally after 1 hour and 25 min we got our food.

Slow and i mean very slow service. It took 20 minutes just to be greeted and asked what we would like to drink. Waitress lacks experiece and could not remember what orders go to what table. The restaurant itself was gross. They used dirty napkins to shim the tables so they dont wobble and cutlery was on the floor. The table next to us took 45 minutes to come out and bus the table. Our waitress then became the cashier when it was time to pay the bill. UNSANITARY!

The cooks were so incompetent!!OK, we have them one more chance and once again we waited a while just to get a server and it wasnt even busy! THEN when my husband got his food, IT WAS COLD AGAIN! This was AFTER telling the server what happened last time! I hadnt even gotten my food yet! So needless to say The Stretch sucks! Oh and the bathrooms are filthy and the smell goes ways out to the entry of the restaurant! Not a good place to eat! Stay away!***After giving this review, new owners took over and the restaurant has gotten much better. The food is better, service is better and they are remodeling the bathrooms! So now we will eat there with no problem. 😊 I re-rated this review with 4 stars.****OK, I am re-evaluating this restaurant again. The food and service was great in the beginning after the new owners took over but its getting back to the old problems of cold, overdone food and slow service. I am thinking that the owner should re-train the cooks and the servers and a supervisor on duty. Back to 2 stars.

If youre looking for a solid portable meatball, this is your best option outside of Squeedonk. The bathroom pays homage to 70s horror flicks and if you get there at the right time you can even star in your own recreation. The staff is friendly even if they dislike your very existence. Also Batman was there. He seemed upset.

1 hour to get simple breakfast food. This is the worst truck stop Ive been to.

Actual poop and blood on the bathroom floor. With footprints. When brought up to staff someone cleaned one stall. Food came out looking like it was cooked in an easy bake oven.
