CP is honestly the best shop for alternators batteries and starters. These guys are so knowledgeable and will give you the best advice and will spend the time to figure out the problem. I would love to go on and explain my situation and everything they did for me but honestly its to much to post and bore you with. All I can say is they helped me out so much and finally figured out my problem it wasnt easy. Lifetime customer! Was in need of a Yellow Top Optima battery for my 2005 Toyota Matrix XRS, which the battery is relocated on this vehicle to the rear. Gerardo was very polite and helpful, able to get me the EXACT same battery I needed for my application. It was a special order and he got it for me in less than a day, and also was very communative and gave me a call to inform me when my battery arrived. 10/10 Highly Recommend.

Oddly enough I couldn’t wait to give this review. This place was well organized, clean, fully stocked and prepared for whatever was needed. They made adjustments to my alternator so it would fit my vehicles requirements. Super helpful and great customer service and experience. It’s family owned as well so that’s huge. I paid 72.00 plus tax for a 210.00 unit. Yeah it may not be a lifetime warranty but this place rebuilt it and they offer 1year who needs more when the shop is right there. Definitely returning and telling everyone I can. Thanks again happy to do business here.

BUYER BE WARE:Im a local trucker with over 20 years experience.My mechanic of over 8 years sent me here to purchase a new alternator for my Rig.I purchased one here on 11/19/20. Less than than 3 months the part failed.I returned today with the part and receipt to get a replacement, but, they refused to validate my warranty because it did not have a sticker that can easily be pulled off.I will not suggest that you dont buy here. Just be aware that they sold me a defective part and refused to warranty it over a simple sticker.

They are rebuilding and converting my starter for me 1949 Ferguson TO 20. Shop is easy to locate, clean, and they have rows of rebuilt starters and alternators beautifully done. Not a lot of these types of shops around anymore. Im glad they are still here.Starter finished. Looks great. Installation in about 10 minutes

The customer service is A1 my alternator is from a jdm engine so its pretty hard to get these at auto zone without having to modify it to work, so i went with rebuilding it at CP and it was a good decision they made my alternator look brand new! Went to this place a couple of weeks ago for my alternator. They certainly impressed me. I had been shopping around the area and each place I had gone made me feel like they were pulling a fast one on me but this place didnt. They made me feel at home and informed me about the part rather than look at me like an idiot.Now Im happy to tell everyone that theyre the place to go. Bought a starter here 3 days ago. They said they had my part, when I get there. They had incorrect connections in my starter so They changed parts in it. Made me wait 20 min till they got it together. Seemed like good people so I waited and gave them the benefit of the doubt and here I am 3 days later with a fried starter, fried all my wiring, possibly fried my alternator. Their techs are fools and bad quality parts. His excuse was loose wiring in my part. (Note: ive installed hundreds of starters in my life working as a mechanic at dealerships) I know my way around a simple starter replacement. Then they come back at me with, never mind it was too tight ( tech says). Cheap parts, bad quality. Don’t be fooled. Pay the correct price for your parts, don’t go cheap, it will cost you more later. They don’t deserve the 1 star I gave them just to post my review and help you save your money. Look elsewhere.

I looked everywhere for a one wire alternator and no one could do it on my 1972 dodge pick up. Ran into these guys and they did it within one hour. Highly impressed with their store and very clean and organized.

Called for alternator part and was so worried my car wouldnt make it. Gerarado assured me on the phone that they would help me and take care of me. Gerarado and Eric were so helpful and nice. I recommend coming here over any other place.

I needed my alternator re-re-rebuilt for my 2007 honda fit. It kept dying 3-6 months after each other. I suspected that my stereo was killing it because my poor alternator could not keep up the charging.After being rebuilt twice by another guy, I decided to take it to CP generator. They had done my starter so I trusted them with my alternator.When I described my problem with the alternator always dying, they right off the bat told me that my alternator was not strong enough. Other shops told me that my alternator pushes out 70 amps, but CP told me that it is 70 amps MAX and is only 35 amps at idle. My stereo is pushing 150 amps. Now I know why it was dying!So the guys at CP recommended that I rebuild it and make it high amp. Without hesitation, I said go right ahead!Few hours later, I have a brand new high amp alternator! They even put a lightweight pulley on it to aid in cooling.The family that runs CP generators are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Their amazing service, fast turn around time, and honesty behind their products have made me a customer for life!

Reason why they so cheap is lack of quality. These guys selling horrible quality . My mechanic used to buy from these people and my cars alternator or starter always going bad. I ask my mechanic to change to a different place with better quality and trust me my cars havent had a problem since . Just shows that cheap price dont mean everything. Being a car dealership Id always get complaints but now with new place Ive gotten zero complaints

Okay, so initially I had high hopes for this place, it looks cool with all their alternators on display, you can see all the techs and equipment in the back through a door, the staff if very nice also. BUT, when I initially went in they pulled out the wrong part for me, the technician in the back double checked and it was the wrong one(not a big deal but a small sign that they dont quite pay attention to detail), next they changed the pulley for the one that came with mine that they themselves mentioned wasnt the right one but the fit of the serpentine belt was their concern( the other place I went to after knew off the bat that it wouldnt be a concern). I took it home and installed it and it started up fine, but failed to do its job. I went to AutoZone and they mentioned that it was the Alternator, I took it back to C.P Generators and they tested it briefly and showed me that it was fine and mentioned that it was something with my car and that AutoZone does not have the proper equipment as them to properly check alternators, but I took it to AutoZone and Orileys to double check and it passed while cold, but started failing when it got hot. They at least get the 3 stars because returning the alternator was hassle free, the offered my money back and did not attempt to find something wrong with the alternator void the warranty to try to keep my money (as some places try) the staff were polite and we just parted ways. Now after getting an alternator elsewhere there is confirmation that it was just the alternator.

As a former customer, I will never come back to this place. The warranty for the alternators is very sketchy and they refuse to help you out with certain types of faulty equipment supplied by them. Please read the fine print, you might end up throwing away 150 bucks out the window. Autozone is the only place that will take any returns and theyre lifetime warranty is second to none.

I got my 2011 BMW 750 alternator rebuilt, and it was only $84. Everyone else was like $200 and they had it done in about 90 minutes. I tell everyone about them, they are great.

Keep up the good work.Changing my original review from 5 stars to 3 due to the fact that only after a year of normal use the new starter (PN: 17960) stopped working and I ended up buying a remanufactured from a known brand. Im not angry over the $120 but the 4hrs of labor that it takes to replace a starter off a 2007 Honda CRV, the original starter lasted 10yrs, 190k mi. The $120 starter from C.P. lasted 1yr, 15k mi.... you get what you pay for. Funny thing is the starter stopped working right after the 1yr warranty expired and it was supposed to be an upgraded model! I would not risk installing the same part even if it was under warranty due to the labor involved that nobody covers when you get a defective part or premature failure. I was expecting to get more than just 1yr lifetime from a new starter.
