Bought an F-150 from Lakeside Auto Sales back in January. They were very up front and professional, and sold me a clean truck with brand new tires and a new windshield at a good price.I had it inspected by a Ford dealership in April, and it checked out well; It needed the 100,000 mile service on the truck, which had 102,000 miles on it when I bought it, but you get what you pay for. For the price I paid, I got a great deal through an honest dealer!
Bought a vehicle here and, unfortunately, when I went to register it in Wisconsin the offices were closed due to COVID-19. In the year between that time and now, the title was lost. Lakeside was AMAZING and had a replacement title to me in just over a week - at no additional charge. THANK YOU!
I just purchased Ford F 150 and could not be more pleased with how easy they are to deal with. Great price on a really nice truck
Bought this beautiful F150 from Shane at Lakeside auto. I got their name from my friend Gail who bought a pickup from them the month before. She had a great experience when her truck happened to have a brake noise a couple weeks into ownership. She called Shane and they fixed the brakes for free even though it was an as is sale. You can trust Lakeside! A+!
This place is very shady. I will not be doing business again. The check engine light came on two days after buying it. They also ran the financing while I was test driving it so I couldnt negotiate. If I was not interested in the vehicle, it was too late as they had already secured the loan. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.
Bought a Dodge Ram a while ago, didn’t even get home and it had a check engine light come up. Tested it with obd scanner and found the problem, after putting some parts in it that should’ve fixed it, it wasn’t fixed so I sent an email to the dealer. The sales lady sent my email to the owner and he called me later that night. Basically did the run around with me about how all their vehicles are good and they make sure all vehicles are mechanically good before putting them for sale, he also had an up appreciated attitude when talking to him. Can’t believe I didn’t even get home and the vehicle had problems, SAVE YOURSELF AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
My husband and I bought a truck from lakeside auto! Jamie was fantastic! Nick also was great he did our paper work! Great job guys! oh the mechanic is awesome. Great experience I will use them again!
No pressure sales. Nice, clean inventory. We were impressed. Great buying experience.
Good people to deal with. I brought up some issues with a vehicle and they took care of it right away.
SUMMARY: I will not do repeat business here. Buyers beware.PROS: I called ahead and talked to Shane about two vehicles I was interested in. When I arrived both vehicles were started and warming up waiting for me to test drive. The vehicle I purchased was in good shape and met my criteria.CONS: A few minor, non-essential parts are broken but the vehicle is in good condition overall. When I asked about the broken parts, Shane was unwilling to negotiate at all and said the parts were inexpensive. Now that I am looking to replace these parts I have found that they are quadruple the price that he assumed they would be. Obviously Shane is not a car guy and does not care about repeat business. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle from this dealer, bring a car person or mechanic with you to help make your decision. DO NOT TRUST THESE SALES PEOPLE!!!I am going to take the vehicle to a qualified service center and get the fluids changed as I believe the vehicle is due for an oil change. As of right now, the only thing I can say about my purchasing experience was that I found the vehicle I was looking for at a price that was relatively reasonable. If it turns out to be a lemon I will update this post.
The majority of the reviews are accurate. I made the mistake of looking past the negative experiences that other people have had with this place, and bought one of their as is vehicles. Lets face it, they have unbeatable prices so why not? I initially went to look at one specific car, and it ran poorly. Shane tried to convince me that the loud noise that you hear coming from the 4 cylinder engine is nothing. His tech drives it everyday through town, so its fine. (Im a young female. Apparently I look dumb and naive) I test drove a different car that was seemingly perfect so I went for the buy. After he tried selling me the first pile, I refused to purchase anything as is, so I paid extra for an extended warranty, which has a 45 day waiting period before it will actually take affect. Its only been a couple of weeks and Ive had nothing but issues. Also, looking at the warranty it will not cover any of the parts that I am having issues with. Shame on me. It turns out that I am dumb and naive after all.
I wish I would have trusted my gut and walked away. I just got the SUV we purchased three months ago towed for the 3rd time. Yes, it has been towed 3 times in 3 months. This last time the vehicle was nearly on fire with my 7 year old daughter inside. They are completely unwilling to work with me after the purchase. Seriously, I could have purchased a brand new vehicle for the amount of money I have now put into it. My advice is to walk away and go to a car dealership down the road.
Great Service and communication. Very fair pricing. I have purchased several vehicles from Lakeside and have never been disappointed.
Looking for a lower price.
You can disregard the older reviews. They have moved and have all new/better personnel now. Andrew answered our questions, handled concerns and sold us a nice car at a competitive price. Professional and accommodating.
Just bought a 2020 kia soul great price on car. jamie was great sales woman . Fast financing it was like 20 minutes in and out . Thanks
Bought a F-350 here it was easy and simple no bs nice people
Great service, great people, and I got a good deal on a nice vehicle!
Good price on a 14’ Fusion Hybrid. Nice car and has lasted me 20k miles and no problems. Now at 161k miles. Dealership seemed kinda sketchy at first. Then once I got my spare key in the mail I realized why. Flipped it open and the key was broken. The whole machined portion (the metal that goes into the ignition) was missing. Couldn’t use it. Cost me 220 bucks for a second key. Also talk them down like 500 bucks at least, they pulled some bs pricy on the paperwork. Too dumb at the time to notice.
We just purchased a used Jeep Liberty from Shane at Lake Side and we feel like we made a good purchase and were treated right, We took the vehicle to a local mechanic on our test drive who was able to pull up the vehicle history and go over it with a fine tooth comb and did find a few issues that needed repair right away. When we came back I brought up the few issues and they offered to fix the issues for free but we werent local and I have a shop I trust at home to do the work. So they came down on price a little bit instead.I would do business here again but I would always recommend having a shop look at any used vehicle you are considering purchasing, The $125 we spent on the inspection was worth it in what we saved off the asking price.I will update the review if the vehicle suddenly starts to fall apart or the warranty is bad etc...
Purchased a vehicle from them a few years ago. When the starter went out after the test drive shouldve been the first warning. Brought it home and found out it needed a new front end and the shop said the ball joints were too loose to even drive on. Transmission went out shortly after. They sold a truck that needed lots of work and wasnt safe. Do not recommend.
Shane was friendly and gave us the time to make our decision. He made sure we had all the information we asked for to address our concerns. Everyone was friendly and efficient! Thank you.
Their salesman, Shane Jackson is very knowledgeable and guided us through the purchase without any hassle. The service department is also outstanding!
Bought a 99 Durango that was actually in very good condition (or so I thought)After test driving this vehicle with my father, we both decided it would be good for a first car. Everything ran great during the test drive, it felt great and so I bought it for $4000.The VERY next day, my transmission totally broke down and I took it in to the shop and it cost me $2300 for a brand new transmission.Lakeside Auto would not take it back and offered very little help. My $4000 truck turned in to a $6300 within one day of me owning it.Yes I understand that buying a used car is risky. But $4000, and then the transmission totally breaks down the very next day?Kinda makes me think that it was fixed up just enough for a smooth test drive.I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody.
This place is 5 start everyone including sales to owner!! The owner takes ALLOT of pride in his bz and the people that come in!!! I will again look here when I am in the market for another vehicle!!!!@! Thank you much!
Bought a car from Jamie. No pressure, knowledgeable, easy to do business with. Worth driving a few miles to get the right deal.
Absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life. After I found a 3/4 ton suburban on their internet site I called and talked to the sales manager about the vehicle. He assured me that it was in excellent condition and said I wouldnt find a nicer one around. I flew in from Washington State to their dealership in Minnesota and looked at the car. It did look really nice so I paid over 20 thousand high blue book for the 07 suburban and drive home to Washington. After a few months the paint started to bubble around the fenders so I took the car to an auto body shop where I was told that the car had extensive rust problems that had been freshly painted over.I was told that repairs would start at 5000 and could be more depending on the damage. I tried for several months to talk to the manager but he would never return my calls. I finally found his cell number on the invoice I had from buying the car and I called him directly. He told me that it had been too long since I bought the car and they would not be able to help me with repairs. I told him I had been trying for months to get ahold of him but he would not return my calls. I also told him that I wasnt accusing his dealership of painting the car as they bought it at auction and it could have been painted by the previous owner. I also said that if they were a reputable dealership they shouldnt want to make money off of a car like that and since I bought the car for cash and did not trade in a vehicle that I would be happy if they gave me the money that was made on the sale of the vehicle to use toward repainting it. He said he would call the owner and get back to me. That was a year ago and he wont answer my calls so finally out of frustration I figured people should know what kind of dealership this is and what kind of man runs it. They are everything that epitomises the crooked used car dealer. They have made it hard for me to trust used car salesmen in the future. In closing I will only say buyer beware these guys are shysters
I traded for a 03 4x4 Silverado, when I test drove it everything was fine and it drove perfect. Put it in 4x4 heard it shift and it felt like everything was working fine. About a week later the check engine light came on, the brakes started squeaking, and the 4x4 felt off going through the snow. I took it in to the shop and found out the air intake sensor was broken, and the 4x4 differential sensor was broken. After the differential sensor was replaced it should of kicked in 4x4 no problem. Nope, turns out something broke off in the front differential and was grinding everything up in there. Everything together its going to be about $1800 repair bill 2 weeks after I got it the damn thing.Do not do business here.Andrew traded me that broken truck with a smile on his face.
Works to give my clients the best deal & the best trade price.
I bought a vehicle from them and I had a great experience with them.
Bought a vehicle, the very night we purchased the vehicle it began having problems. Not to mention they gave us two malfunctioning keys for the vehicle saying that they only needed batteries. WRONG!! Some idiot soaked the keys in water or a liquid substance and WE had to buy new keys!!! Furthermore, on the first night we obtained the vehicle, the battery was bad and had to be jumped at the gas station!! Called them about the issue, they told me to go purchase a new battery.... NO promise to help us resolve the issue. Next the car began to shift horribly, brought it to OUR shop and was immediately sent to a tranny shop. Needs new tranny lines, new transfer case, new front axle, cv joints, rack n pinion. All because they put TWO different sets of tires on an ALL WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK!!!! SO on top of dishing out 2000.00 + in repairs now we have an additional 800.00 in new tires to put on after the repairs are completed!!! DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM E.V.E.R., your better off going to the junkyard, at least you know what you are getting.
Bought An 07 f150 xlt with 125000 for $14800.4 hours off the lot check engine light came on and now runs like crap! The owner promised me that the truck would have zero problems and thattheir tech looked it over fully which is crap, they just cleared the code and smiledas i left. Now they wont even diagnose the problem for me, NOTHING.save yourself the trouble and dont even drive past this place!!!!!
My car buying experience with Lakeside Auto was very pleasant. The salesmen are not high pressure, which always makes purchasing a vehicle easier.
Great mechanic service! Wont b.s. you
Bought a 02 Dodge Ram. Been a basket case since I got it. Their premium warranty doesnt cover anything either.
Great experience and fast service. Will go back!.
These guys are scumbags... Andrew Especially
Bad service with a bunch of bs on top
Messy customer service
