Shopped for a range and micro with the folks at Specialty based on friends experiences. I wound up being a somewhat difficult case, having to modify or change orders a couple of times. Throughout what must have been a trying sales experience, Mr. Tim Willhite was patient, kind and understanding and he worked really hard to make me happy. While the machine I was after wasnt ultimately obtainable through Specialty, that was no fault of theirs; Im still getting a fine Bosch micro. In terms of service and support, I recommend them. Everyone seemed very helpful, but Tims the Man.

Couldnt be happier with the staff at Specialty Appliance. This was a long, drawn-out process because the appliance package - KitchenAid dishwasher, Sub-Zero fridge and Wolf dual fuel six burner range could not be installed until the very end of the kitchen remodel, which took a long time. The install crew is as professional as the sales and service staff. This review is not about the appliances, but rather, this high-end appliance retailer. A Sub-Zero Fridge weighs over 600 pounds and the range weighs about 500. Our installers were extremely careful when moving out the appliances and moving these in. Our new hardwoods were well-protected and the crew uses skid matts under the appliances for the final push back into their openings. Communication throughout the process was also top notch. Prices are competitive with the market. We recommend Specialty Appliance and when the time comes, will use them again.

We spent a lot of money on “high end appliances” per our contractor’s recommendation, and several appliances we purchased have needed a replacement part (or needed to be fully replaced) in less than 3 years. Their warranties are short-term for a reason… don’t expect much once you purchase the item and that 1 year warranty expires.

Wonderful customer service all the way from the in-store consultation to delivery and installation. Our service rep, Steve, was communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. Install team was great and came back promptly to fix a few small install issues. Would highly recommend for the value and the service.

Special shout out to Tim W. for his incredible help with our remodel. What was most impressive was the fact that we told Tim right up front that we were from out of town and that we were just looking and would not be purchasing from Specialty. With a smile we got a No problem! and he showed us everything we were looking for, answering each of our questions as we went about their showroom. Knowledgable, personable and respectful, Tim went about as if we were his most important client. Thanks Tim for helping us make this a very successful trip.

We ordered all of our appliances for our new home from Specialty Appliances in Ft. Collins. When our Bosch dishwasher was delivered it was damaged. We were told that they would fix it, and supposedly did. A year later the dishwasher is not working properly. Repairman came out and said that the door is damaged and was not repaired properly. It is now warping our cabinets after a year of escaping steam and Specialty Appliance has told us it is not their problem. Never fixed it properly and refuses to do so. We got better service from Lowe’s and will never return to this store.Update: wish I had read the reviews prior to working with this company. Management did contact us and said they would investigate. Have not heard from them sense, and now I am noticing my hardwood floor is starting to be effected also. Going to have to bit the bullet and fix it ourselves to prevent further damage to our home. Much better service from Lowe’s!!

We have now purchased and had installed three kitchen appliances from Specialty Appliance in Fort Collins (Bosch dishwasher, Whirlpool refrigerator, and LG built-in microwave). Installers are always on time and extremely courteous. They are knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the installation is done well and the customer is satisfied before leaving. In particular our installation team for our built-in microwave lead by Victor was great. They had to modify the space where the microwave was to be installed using their ingenuity and skill and materials on hand. They were patient and made sure I was happy with the look and result even though it required several adjustments during the install. I would recommend these folks and Specialty Appliance for anyone looking for outstanding products, service and customer support.

Very pleased so far. Buying a new home in Loveland Colorado and needed some nice fairly high grade appliances. I had specific needs for a combo free standing gas/electric dual fuel double oven and free standing range, counter depth french door freezer/fridge and a washer and dryer set. They have a very clean, modern showroom with selections ranging from more affordable to luxury brands. I really liked the GE Cafe models! I was able to make my choices in two visit and pricing was competitive! Really nice friendly staff especially my salesman, Tim Willhite!Edited: At the time I wrote the above review I couldnt comment on installation and delivery as we had not closed on the house. Well, the staff that coordinated delivery got my appliances set to install the afternoon of the day after we recieved the keys which was awesome and Bajro & Bricker arrived on time and installed everthing perfectly. They were friendly, polite and tidy! All in all, from start to finish, I made a very good choice by choosing Specialty Appliance for my appliance needs!

I needed a new washer and dryer since mine were on the fritz. I heard about Specialty Appliance through a friend and got an appointment with Zac who was awesome! I explained what I was looking for and what my budget was--he got me a quote quickly with options that were well within my budget and had features that I was looking for. We talked before my appointment about what would be the best option; and when I let him know my final choice he put them on hold for me because of limited availability. During our appointment, he taught both me and my mom how to use the appliances and answered all of our questions! The washer and dryer were delivered the next day and the install guys were super nice too! (I cant remember their names, sorry...) They took the time to make sure my mom knew how to work them and ran some test cycles to ensure everything was working/connected properly before they left since I was at work.According to my water report from the city, my water usage is down 22% now, 3 months in a row thanks to our new appliances! Thank you, Zac for getting me hooked up! If you go here, you wont be disappointed. From Lori at reception to Zac, it was one of the easiest appliance buying experiences in a while--just make sure you make an appointment!

We bought appliances in August. Part of them showed up in November and the refrigerator finally got here in December. It worked 3 days and the ice maker broke. We have had somebody come out three different times to fix the refrigerator. We requested that they replaced the refrigerator since it has not worked since we got it. They told us that they wouldnot replace it that they will find the part that is needed but the part just happens to be on backorder and they dont know where to find another one. I would not recommend anybody buying from this company because they dont help you out.

We purchase all new appliances (Double oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas cooktop and downdraft vent) for a home we purchase and were doing a remodel on. Because of the uniqueness of the kitchen we did not feel comfortable just using a big box store, picking up the appliances and doing our own installs. Using Specialty Appliance was a great decision and I will use them for all of my future appliance needs.Doing this during a Pandemic was certainly a challenge with the interruption of the appliance supply chain. Victoria from the Ft Collins store was our sales person and she was great to work with. She made valuable recommendation about different appliances and alternatives and kept us up to date on availability of each piece. We actually had 4 different deliveries - the crews that did the deliveries were professional, personable and did great work.I highly recommend Specialty Appliance and Victoria Sharkey in their Ft Collins store.

Have to agree with the horrible customer service comments. We went in last Saturday to order a new range. Have to say that chef Dan is fantastic! Went home to measure then called back that afternoon to order. Salesperson didnt return call. We called again and he was heading home so wouldnt take our order. He sent a proposal via email on Monday to which I responded on Tuesday. Here we are on Thursday with still no response. Either he doesnt work on commission or doesnt care about a sale or finds a one appliance sale not worth his time. In any scenario, awful customer service! Very disappointed.

I have to disagree with people saying the service is bad. I have had very good service from our Fort Collins SA, and the few times Ive called in to get help, the representative was absolutely polite, intelligent, helpful, and responsive. When I had to call back she remembered me and gave me the best possible service. Theres no claiming covid as the excuse for bad service here. When I had a problem she referred it to customer service and I was incredibly gratified at how much they cared about our problem and how willing they were to make it right. Im amazed.

Lori at the front desk is cheerful, knowledgeable, and gets things done. All in all, our experiences have been good here. We had to have a new appliance replaced after it was serviced three times in as many months. Specialty Appliance did stand by their warranty, and our salesperson has confirmed the warranty will transfer over to the replacement item. I would buy from them again in the future.

The service from this place is terrible. I would advise anyone looking for high end appliances to shop elsewhere. For the amount of money you spend to outfit a house youd think the service would be better than the average Home Depot experience, but its actually worse. The techs are lazy and immature kids and the actual work is subbed out to a 3rd party that will get there when he gets there. We literally had the techs walk out in the middle of working on our brand new fridge and leave the job half done. Once they have your money they could care less if you are satisfied . Our brand new appliances are still not working or installed correctly but since you are required to pay before delivery its not a priority to them to get the job done.UPDATE: we talked to your people today - I hear you loud and clear but there is nothing we can do to improve the situation is not how you win business. You people really suck.

Specialty Appliance in Fort Collins, CO sent one general helper and one real installation technician out to install four new appliances we purchased at their store. To help reduce labor costs, I removed of all four of the appliances beforehand. Since removing appliances was embedded in their original estimate and I was told beforehand that any work I completed before their arrival would be deducted, I naturally assumed they would reduce the labor costs accordingly. Specialty went against its word and charged my wife and I $1300 for two workers working a total of three hours. That equates to labor costs of well over $200 per hour. Shop elsewhere. Specialty, if you want to rectify this situation, then work with your installer to treat customers right.

I want to give a huge shout out to Specialty Appliance, Matt Terpstra and their team. Our oven and microwave wall unit died the day after Christmas. We had tried to buy an oven with two other large retailers thinking it was saving us money but after a failed installation and terrible customer service a friend recommended Specialty Appliance. They were knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and the oven was about the same price as the large retailers. It was a great reminder why shopping local matters. I cant wait to work with them again on our next appliance upgrade. Thank you!

Steve Grandbois at Specialty Appliance was a tremendous help during our recent kitchen remodel. He was patient and informative about the appliance choices while we debated which brand was right for us. And he provided truly exceptional service after the sale. Steve was quick to reply to every email and call, no matter how small the question. He spoke with our cabinet designer on the phone and provided detailed notes about installation details. He even met with our contractor in person to be certain the cabinet set ups were correct and ensure theyd be ready for the appliance install. I made a huge mistake related to registering our appliances - and Steve was generous to correct my error long after the sale. I wrote and posted a bad review on Specialty Appliance last week. Within 24 hours of my review, the owner called me personally and went out of his way to accommodate me and my husbands schedule. The field representative called in advance, showed up on time and was incredibly professional and attentive. I am very impressed by the companys desire and drive to take an unpleasant first impression and turn it into a well deserved second opportunity.We will move forward with our purchase. Having the sales person Naomi and the owner Jeff follow up and ensure customer satisfaction is a testimony to the company. We didnt have a choice in working with Specialty Appliance as we built a house and this is who our builder contracted through. Picking out our appliances was not a terrible experience, although the people working there were not very friendly. Zac, who we worked with was nice enough. When our appliances were delivered, they delivered our refrigerator damaged and left it. They dropped it and it had a big gash on the top and then we noticed water was running out of the whole front. It took them almost 3 weeks to deliver a new one, the day they were to deliver, they didnt show up, so we called to see what was going on. They said their truck broke down and they couldnt get there until the next day so we had to move our refrigerated items back into the fridge. We were told they would arrive at 8 am the next day. They didnt arrive on time and our food was getting warm. The crew that delivered the fridge were very nice and they said they are never supposed to leave damaged appliances. Fast forward to a month later, my son spilled something between the washer and dryer they delivered and installed. We pulled them out to clean the mess up, only to find they hadnt tightened down one of the washer hoses and it had been leaking for a month. We now have damage to our drywall, baseboard and possibly our floor. The guy they sent out to look at this and repair the hose said they were supposed to put a tag on the line to show they checked for leaks. They didnt even check their work after they installed it. Whoever they had install our appliances originally had no idea what they were doing or were too lazy to do it right. Now we have to submit a claim and wait to be reimbursed to fix the damage.

John Ketchum is the best guy to work with. He has helped get appliances from Rental grade on up to residential commercial Italian ranges, they have it all. Forget Sears or Box stores, they have what you want. Dont be intimidated when you walk in, they have all the high end products on display, but they can get anything and everything in for you.

I wish I had the space to fully explain how horrible my experience has been. The short version is my appliance has been at my house for almost two months and it has never worked. Ever. For whatever reason, Specialty has decided it is GE’s problem and not theirs. So my non-working appliance sits here while I wait, for I guess, forever, until GE decides to replace it. I’ve heard nothing from GE and I don’t even know what to do to get my $3000 back. It’s utterly ridiculous and their CS department is laughable.

Purchased over $65,000 worth of appliances from this company with assurances that they were professional and they would stand behind their installation. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been the opposite: Difficult to work with, poor installation, damaged goods, poor communication, refusing o deal with the damaged goods, and overall a very poor experience. Upon delivery, two of our appliances were damaged. They refused to replace them, insisting on repair of the fascia on both, even though there was a large dent on the bottom of one of the appliances. It had obviously been dropped or suffered some major damage- not just a scratch. The installer pointed out the problem to me (while I was on a phone call) and he mentioned that they would fix it. I was not asked to approve of this, nor was I asked to sign any type of acknowledgement, and now they refuse to replace the appliances. They insist that the manufacturer will not replace them, even though we had them ordered and delivered in the timeframe that they requested. During install one of the dishwashers was also dropped heavily by a worker (carrying it on his back, alone) on our brand new wood floor. I would highly recommend avoiding this company.

2 stars is fair based on my experience.What I liked: Specialty Appliance has a great selection of appliances, and some of the offerings are fantastic. If the review stopped there, they woukd have received 5 stars.However it doesnt. We recently renovated our kitchen and bought a SubZero fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave drawer, range hood and ice maker. We went back and forth between brands and finally made our decision. We worked with Schroll Cabinets right next door.What went wrong: Well Specialty Appliance never provided our Schroll designer with updated specs, although they said they had. Fortunately the subzero was the same dimensions as the previous fridge specs, but the microwave drawer was not. Specialty didnt make an effort to make it right, instead Schroll Cabinets helped with a solution. Also, Specialty Appliance sent us the ice maker wirh the wrong door. We wanted stainless (like ALL the other appliances) and they sent the cabinet face-ready door. Then when I brought this up, they wanted me to pay $250 for the stainless door and $75 for the installers to come back out. We settled on 50/50.I dropped enough cash to have warranted a bit more attention and less ball dropping. The appliances are great, the staff...not so much
