Wonderful atmosphere and coffee. Support local Fort Collins! I’ve always loved Starry Night. I’ve come here since the 90s and glad they haven’t changed the name. Good music and friendly service. The owner was great to talk to he was very personable even when busy. Check it out!
Its really cool espresso place and local flavor all around also I hear they got a real cool place to stay upstairs
I was here Labor Day morning and it was pretty busy—apparently the barista was on her own for the first hour of being open, but she was doing an impressive job keeping things moving while still managing to be calm and friendly throughout. I got one of the specials (Peaches and Cream Latte) and a veggie breakfast burrito; both were delicious!
My daughter and I came to Starry Night on the morning of July 19, 21. We had her dog so we sat outside. My daughter went to get her coffee first. When I went inside there was a male leaning on the counter with his coffee; a female with a young child loudly talking on and on about her child. The two female staff were completely captivated and ignored me. I stood for about 3 minutes and left. My daughter said “That is why it took me so long to get my coffee - a guy was there talking on and on.”Some businesses “Get It” when it comes to customer service and how to provide service to All Customers and some Don’t - You Don’t Get It. I will never go back: too many Great Coffee cafes in FOCO who do “Get It” to waste my time being ignored by You.
Great coffee and delicious snacks. You wont be disappointed!
Went there on Monday for a cold brew, there were a few people sitting indoors, which reminds me of the pre-COVID days, its nice to be able to order a cup of coffee and sit in the sun and perfect 80 degree weather to enjoy it. The cold brew was great, but could be more charismatic.....did grab an ice-cream right next door, that was definitely cherry on the top, cant expect a better Monday afternoon.
Love that you are organic. Please remain organic. Great dirty chai. Staff were friendly
The coffee and lunch items are okay, but the service and speed are always sub-par. There are definitely much better coffee shops to visit in the Fort Collins area.
Delicious coffee and friendly batistas! It was quite expensive, but nothing out of the normal for a real coffee shop. The decor is adorable and the ambiance is very fun and happy.
This is my favorite old town coffee shop 😁
Fantastic little spot to grab a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere is chill and fun all at the same time.
Turkey Harvarti sandwich was amazing! Super fresh side salad included too, makes this a go to lunch spot for anyone looking to eat health conscious without spending a ton! Highly recommend!
I came in around 1:30pm on June 10th 2021. Grabbed a nitro and sandwich on my break. The nitro tasted super smooth and the sandwich was pretty good standard cafe food. Great for a quick lunch since I work close by. My barista was also very friendly and prompt. My reason for taking off a star is that after my order was taken, a few groups came in. Enough that the solo barista could’ve used another person. And although there was a table with 3 either other baristas or managers maybe, my barista was left to handle the rush on her own until she had to holler to the table for help.As a veteran barista, it’d be nice to see some hustle from the other staff to help so your solo baristas don’t reach a point of unnecessary stress because trust, customers can feel that.
Probably one of my favorite coffee shops in the downtown area. Great coffee, good and strong like it should be. Lots of different options to choose from and a decent selection of freshly made food! Parking outside can be a little hectic (as my picture shows) but there tends to be plenty of parking behind the building.
Luv,luv mocha latte! Great customer service
Quaint spot for coffee or tea. Great deserts.
I wasnt going to stop in Fort Collins on my days drive from Denver to Ogden, but I am so, so glad I did, mainly for Starry Night!Im typically a 3-coffee a day gal, so this stop was going to be my 2nd, and it was delicious. The location — right off a main drag in Ft. Collins — is so spacious, welcoming and homey all at once, and the barista was such a pleasant person to chat with, even if only for a few minutes. We discussed mask-mandates and the current COVID-19 infection rates in the area, and it was so lovely to have had an honest, insightful, and mellow conversation with someone about *all of this* while I was on the road.Highly recommend coming by for a visit when youre able, and make sure to put Fort Collins on the map for your next trip!
Staff is super friendly
Employees were very nice! But my drink was way too sweet. Kind of stung my throat a bit.
Starry Night is my favorite coffee shop in Fort Collins! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and obviously great coffee. The food is also exceptional...my favorite is probably their cake, but they also have really good scones, quiche, sandwiches etc! Whether youre stopping for a morning cup o joe, or looking for a cool place to study and stay awhile - Starry Night is your spot!
No discernable order system, orders take very long, hot sandwiches are microwaved. A bit of a chaotic experience, with subpar offerings. Will not return.
My husband and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Starry Night!! They not only have amazing coffee and food but the owners truly care about their customers and they have the friendliest baristas!!!
Its been around for a long time for good reason! Great place to have coffee and amazing cake!
Good coffee, good service.
Harassment from the employees to buy something before I had decided what lunch I wanted or came to a good stopping point in my school work to take my lunch break. Ridiculous.
Their chocolate cake is one of the best, along with everything else.
We’ve been going here for years and have always loved it. Always very friendly staff and good coffee/food. What bums us out is how they keep updating the interior and it is becoming increasingly less cozy/unique. It used to have a super cool brick wall & wood burning stove with a huge antler chandelier. All those have slowly been removed and now the inside is boring/sterile. Lame!
Cute and nice coffee
Went to grab coffee and see the Old Town Christmas lights! Great coffee, friendly baristas 😊
2nd rate coffee, horrible customer service.
My favorite coffee shop in FOCO!
The carrot cake and the mocha cake are amazing!
If you prefer the ambiance of the local coffee shop and not the corporate scene.
Fantastic coffee shop, one of the gems of Fort Collins. Love the great staff and laid-back atmosphere. Excellent coffee and even better service! Their food is also very good. Highly recommend!
Great coffee at a range of prices, so you can get your coffee shop fix without breaking the bank. They do free refills on house coffees, all of which taste great (I drink a lot of black coffee, so Id tell you if it was mediocre or even bad). Ive also tried their cortado and it was really good. Of the coffee shops Ive had in Fort Collins this one is my favorite. Give it a try next time youre putting around Old Town.
The coffee is great, but the service depends on who you are. I’ve come in here twice and the people behind the counter carrying on their conversation before taking my order. I literally stood at the counter while they kept talking. The kicker here is that BOTH times, the people behind me got incredible service. I guess it’s pick and choose who you give good service too.
Starry Night makes probably the best cakes Ive ever had. Extremely good. The location and decor are great. We often have minor order difficulties, where the staff I think just cant hear us but doesnt repeat it back. Over all though, this is a good place.YOU HAVE TO TRY THE CAKE HERE.
Always stop here for coffee when in town, its a chill coffee shop without a lot of noise. Nice scenery and the baristas are a pleasure. I get my lattes with oat milk (TRY IT!) Because Im lactose intolerant, but honestly, even if you arent, the oat milk brings out the coffee flavors better 😁 and they have good oat milk here, better coffee, and the environment is much better on the ears. Highly recommend!
Kind and considerate staff. Delicious coffee!
This is a great place to get a cup of coffee. They have good coffee and are open later than a lot of coffee places. Good options for baked goods as well, but the sandwiches are what set them apart. I love the breakfast sandwich. Its super simple, but delicious!
I love this place! I have simple needs and get your standard cup of coffee, but I know they rock at expresso drinks, and have good food too. Support this locally owned and operated coffee shop!
This place is super cute inside. I went a few times just for the atmosphere. The employees are nice too :)
I was pretty disappointed to learn that Starry Night doesnt have reusable cups/mugs for all non to-go orders (based on my order when I was there this past week). So many Fort Collins coffee shops practice sustainability and try to lessen environmental impacts; I thought Starry Night would as well.
This has been a go tolocation for years. The atmosphere is great and the staff are the best.SO, why only three stars: 1) they leave the coffee out for HOURS. Even good coffee gets bad when it is old, 2) they seem to fail to understand the modern concept of coffee shops and lap-tops. There are very few electrical outlets. Sadly I find myself going to S_-_-ucks too often because of this, 3) the removed the old Starry Night mural
Out of all the coffee places I visit (and work for) this is by far the best. Ive traveled through here three times in the past 5 years and I have tried every coffee shop in ft. Collins. Ill be returning every trip from now on.Thank you for the amazing service and coffee!
Everyone is always super calm and friendly and the espresso is 👌🏼 Always super clean and very relaxed cozy place to hang out! Employees never make it a big deal when you accidentally come in before close which is hard to find! Much appreciated keep it up guys
Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Delicious almond chocolate milk. Havent eaten my seven layer bar yet but I expect it will be satisfyingly sweet!
Great atmosphere. Great selection of pastry, pie and burritos. Friendly service. It was a busy Sunday morning and we did have to wait a bit for our drinks and such..but I would definitely go back.
Delicious! Some of the best coffee in Fort Collins. Theres a wide selection on their menu and a good sized rotating seasonal menu, so there is always something good to eat and drink. Ive been going to Starry Night for close to fifteen years now and I have no intentions of stopping. 😁
Have been coming here for 12 years and just love this coffee shop always good food and friendly staff. I enjoy their coffee as well as tea selection.
Amazing food if you have time. Been there more than once for lunch and with only one employee behind the counter. Not his fault but service can be slow.
This was a lovely, welcoming cafe. It was absolutely tiny though! While its a really great spot to hang around, you might be better off getting your drink to-go
Best coffee place in Fort Collins. Great selection and outstanding flavors. They do a great job of roasting their beans. The biggest plus to all of this is that they are the only coffee shop opened after 8 pm in Fort Collins. The atmosphere is amazing and they service is always amazing.
Went once only, but I really enjoyed the drink. It was very bitter when I was certain I asked for sugar and they fixed it quickly and apologetically. Couldnt be upset over it. Nice crew.
Ive been here a couple of times. Its not the friendliest coffee shop, but the coffee is good. I had the quiche and a Bahkti almond scone, and they were phenomenal. The place has always been really clean. It is usually pretty quiet. It would be a great place to go to study or read for awhile.
Loved the coffee, loved the vibe. Great location, though parking can be a bit of a bear depending on the time of day. Their baristas were friendly and knowledgeable about their coffee, which is always a welcome plus.
I have been away from the area for nearly 20 years so this was my first visit in many years.I had Mexican Mocha Latte and it was very good. I will return but I really missed seeing the Starry Night mural, hence the name. Please, please, please have it repainted!
I had literally the best Almost Croissant of my life the other day at Starry Night!!!! Food and drinks are spectacular!
Great Iced Mexican Mocha. Get extra pump of Chocolate, light ice and mix over a second cup of ice. Pair with breakfast bagel sandwich. Excellent WiFi if you need it (important)!
Great coffee place in the Fort!
Great Cafe. Friendly Staff. Love the selection of food and various coffee drinks.
Great location and ambiance, with reasonably priced drinks, and mostly nice staff! Their food selection is good, with a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and while the list isnt huge, that is sometimes a good thing.Minus one star for one girl who seemed to be having a bad day, a few weeks ago when I visited. However, the girls working today were very nice and happy. Customer service is very important in this industry, as it will make or break a location. Theres plenty of places to choose from, so competition is inherently fierce.
Great coffee, but super crowded! Lots of students hanging out for a long time working on their computers.
Relaxed vibe and great coffee
A great cappuccino found here! I also find their monthly special beverages to be quite delicious.
Overpriced for mediocre coffee. 2 stars because free WiFi, comfy, and nice barista.
Bad Business Practice, INSENSITIVE to FOOD ALLERGIES. Stole my money.Asked for a large putter frap with no frap power and almond milk. I received the drink with regular milk. Highly allergic to milk. Requested it be made without milk, they said it would be another drink and I need to pay again?Left the product untouched. Asked for a Refund. I also got a thumbs up sticker on Messenger. Is the owner a shut in?All and All its not the coffee shop it use to be at all. Sad that new is better but rather disengaging and mean.
Excellent coffee. Friendly staff. Great place to sit, talk and/or work.
Nice place. Coffee is good enough.
☕Locally owned with friendly staff. Great coffee and unique atmosphere. As a new parent, I appreciate the clean restrooms.
Small, cozy, good place for coffee and some free wi-fi. The Sonata coffee is great! The quiche and sandwiches (small selection) are reliably good. With a sandwich, I recommend the beet salad. Service is spotty; customers in line often get priority over those who have ordered and paid. Easily overwhelmed with customers. Perhaps they are in training. Cakes are works of art and delicious! Features local artists on the wall. I miss the Starry Night wall, though.
Amazing coffee and super chill baristas! Very cozy atmosphere and great location; super easy to find and walk to in downtown Fort Collins. Couldnt ask for a better experience!
Great coffee, tasty pastries, friendly staff. A good place to take time to relax, read a book, or get some work done. In addition to their inside seating, there is a small patio if you want to sit outside in front of the place. Couches inside make for a comfy evening with your favorite book.
Tasty mocha. Thank you!
I have been going to this coffee shop for date night with my wife for awhile now. Recently I noticed that it looks “rough”. Very little art work on the wall, but still showing the old nails and hangars from where stuff was removed. The bathroom was filthy. They need to take an afternoon and scrub the floor and paint the walls-it would take a couple hours and $30. The place looks like someone took a long vacation when it comes to owning a business. Spend some money and time on your investment and you will retain customers like myself. Otherwise there are new and fresh places all over FOCO where I can spend my money-I’m trying to be loyal here.
They have the kindest staff, and great vibes ✌🏼
Great service, delicious coffee, and yummy, fresh scones. I especially appreciated that they even had a treat for my pup (their version of Starbucks Puppaccino, i.e., a small cup of whipped cream).
Great place! I love going here on cold nights. It has a cool atmosphere but doesnt have as big of a space as some of the other coffee shops in town.
Delicious espresso, friendly staff, a few good gluten free food options and great music playing! (Ex: Avett Brothers).
I love this cafe! Nice food, bakery and beverages and very nice staff.
Cool cafe. Internet server went out and a lot of people left. They got it back up but it would have been better if there was some (any) communication to the customers.
This place is amazing!!!! A genuine, one-of-a-kind coffee experience. It makes hipster look cool again:)
The service was somewhat friendly, but not really interested. My cappuccino was only warm, not hot. I ordered oatmeal and when it was ready, the barista just called it out, no attempt to bring it to my table, even though there was nobody else to make anything for. I went to the counter and got it, went back to my table to eat, and discovered that it was just rolled oats with some steamed milk poured over them. And barely even warm at that. When I took them up to the counter and asked for it to be microwaved, I got sullen attitude, and then just slightly warmer oats. The whole experience made me want to reach in the tip jar and take my 25% tip back! I didnt do that, but I wont return. There are too many other coffee shops to patronize first!
Fantastic espresso, well balanced and bright. The sweets also very tasty.
Very nice staff, great coffee options, mellow (but not depressing) folksy music.
Such a busy cafe, youre lucky to find a table! But I love studying here and Rachel, the barista, was so happy to help and very friendly :)
Killer cake. Good coffee. Sometimes too college-esqe but a comfortable coffee shop. Sit at the front window and people watch.
Good coffee great atmosphere. They always have a variety of pastries and food, the staff has always been friendly and on a great mood, definitely recommend the place!
Love this place, great chill atmosphere. Cool staff. Locally sourced consumables.
Good place. Tried the drip coffee and it was very good.
The barista is always friendly and knows their drinks.
A cute little cafe in the heart of downtown Ft. Collins. Tried one of each Chai tea latte, and boy they were delicious! One more spicy, the other more sweet, this spot on a Saturday night cafe was perfect for my girlfriend and I. Very friendly atmosphere!
Very nice atmosphere, great staff parking was a bit rough, but thats to be expected in that area, very pleased with my visit!
One of my favorite coffee shops. Great coffee and great staff! Would highly recommend!
