It’s always an adventure to review places that I don’t see needing reviews. There’s nothing wrong with this place. The prices are what you would expect. The service is up to par. And, if you are going to guitar center it isn’t like you have that many options.

I purchased a product from the Tulsa store online that was verified by a call to the actual store as in excellent condition and it arrived in less than desirable condition. Luke, without hesitation, was able to refund and made the transaction happen in store. I was happy to pay the difference. Awesome service. Not so much for the Tulsa store. Oh and I drove up from Denver, so it was worth the drive.

This is a pretty good guitar center. Like all the others during Covid there seems to be very limited supply of mid and higher end acoustic guitars (900-4000). Service was pretty good and someone came in to check in on the acoustic room every 5 or so minutes, but didnt linger. Overall a pretty good experience.

Nice place to check out products in person, but youre better off making your purchase online.Walked in ready to spend $800 knowing exactly what I wanted to buy. Their online store even showed the item as available here. I had to wait 35 minutes before I could get any employees attention. A few parties came in after me and were able to get help before me, so maybe theres some trick.Technically, the product was available. But only the full-price floor model, which had visible signs of wear and tear. Left the store mildly peeved and placed an order online with another company.

I would give them a five except that I bought a brand new guitar and they had no one there to set it up for me. When your name is guitar Center you need to have a guitar tech on hand for people who buy new guitars. The staff is generally knowledgeable and always friendly and helpful but its time to ramp up and get back to pre-pandemic staffing with experts.

The rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Walked in and found what I needed but decided to order it online due to the extremely rude, feckless, and inattentive employees. I don’t expect much from anyone earning less than a living wage, but at least be polite. The inventory collects dust, mostly garbage. Save your time and money and just order it online.

Went to pick up a rental for a mic and speaker and took us 45min to get checked out because they had no idea about the reservation made 2 weeks ago. The first person who helped us went in the back and didn’t come out for 15 min until another person asked if they could help us. Another 15 min later and he finally came out from the back. Then takes another 20 min just to take my money. I had places to be and was late to all my other appointments when it should have taken 10 min total. Sad, bad and a joke of a service.

Don’t go to this Guitar Center if you’re looking for good service or a large inventory. I would avoid Guitar Center stores all together but if you’re wanting to go to one, the drive to Denver is worth avoiding this store. Some of the staff are somewhat knowledgeable, but overall they’re clueless and want nothing to do with customers. Equipment at this store is often priced incorrectly and management will never honor the wrongly priced items. I would recommend going to Rupp’s Drums or Drumcity Guitarland in Denver over any Guitar Center. Both stores have amazing customer service and very knowledgeable staffs. They also offer much larger inventories than the cookie cutter equipment Guitar Center offers. Prices are also competitive at these stores. Definitely worth the drive. If you’re wanting to stay local, check out Music Go Round in Fort Collins. Good luck.

Katie is the best guitar sales person in any guitar center I have ever been to. I wouldnt ever buy another GIBSON Les Paul but she talked to me and figured out that I am looking for the cheapest and best possible playable thing. That LP was pretty sweet at that price . I honestly wouldnt have considered it, but she told me about it, I googled it and came back to get it. Unfortunately there is some sort of country anti theft hold of some kind and I couldnt take it that night. I came back the next day and got another cheap epiphone LP to fool around with because I was bored.Folks on this county should note well there are some hold times on used gear, similar to what is in a pawn shop or other high volume used instrument handlers. I was never so bummed as when I couldnt walk out with that thing.

I gave 1 extra star because Travis is an awesome salesperson and I 100% would work with him again. I cant say this enough, ask for Travis if you need to be sure your working with someone with great service.unfortunately Travis had to eat and I got left with another employee who just didnt uphold my expectations of service. I didnt like the fact the company policy is to sell guitars with noticeable blemishes for MSRP (small, didnt effect playability but it was there and noticeable on an otherwise perfect guitar). I was lied to initially about it, and when I pushed back I was told because the guitar was only on the floor a short time it doesnt matter that it has the blemish. No effort was made to show me the next comparable guitar. this employee so extremely unhelpful I felt like he just wanted me out of the store. Even after I asked about getting another one from another store, he just made 0 effort to help or sell me in any way. even after confirming they were available when I pushed him to look it up. He was distracted by helping his friend and I guess maybe he thought I was taking up to much floor time with the guitars or something.Travis was willing to go the extra mile after the fact but now I have to wonder why GC as a company deserves my business over another shop. Ive never heard of selling a floor model guitar with a visual blemish for full price before and not trying to help someone get another one when they are clearly available. At the end of the day, they were not in a position to take care of me due to corporate rules, policy, inattentive employee, blah blah blah. When a company has no reasonable flexibility its a huge red flag for me... I dont know why 10$ off a professional setup or bag or something was such a ridiculous request. 450$ guitar. gig bag 150$, you guys still make another 40-50$ on a service fee for the setup... throw in the strings and the amp I was playing with Travis. and I was gonna buy a beginner bass kit and other stuff too...you turned down a pretty darn profitable sale over something pretty minor and you disappoint a target customer along the way. I walked in today looking for a good sales experience not just for this purchase but for years to come.

Nothing personal to the employees here, but I am never shopping with guitar center again. This was a 5 star review commending the store employees for their good customer service, but due to recent issues I have had with GC, this company does not deserve my hard earned money or praise and we will not be doing any business and all my money will go to Sweetwater. They wont sell me floor models that I have to keep returning. Their phone support isnt outsourced and I can actually understand the people and their not condescending and rude. Bottom line, this place is for the Soccer Moms to buy guitars so their kid can learn Seven Nation Army; take your money elsewhere if youre serious guitars like me.

Actually it was one particular employee who was incredibly helpful. I wish Id caught his name. I usually go to spotlight which moved as they have a specific flatwound acoustic string I prefer. There were none to be found. However the guy had an acoustic that he uses electric flatwound jazz strings on. I decided to trust him and give them a chance and am very glad I did. They sound and play great and are much easier to find than my usual string and half the price to boot. Ive been playing more than 25 years and this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review for a music store. Knowledgeable salespeople are a big plus!

Drove over from Greeley with the plan to buy a new Taylor for myself and a mini Taylor for my daughter. Was told there is only 1 person allowed in the acoustic room at a time, and I responded, “no problem, I’ll wait.”, in which I was told by the employee the guy currently in there has been in there for 45 minutes going hard between 3 guitars so it will be awhile. Well, I hope that guy bought one of those guitars, because you loss a sale of 2 Taylors from me. I understand Covid caused the restriction, but with that said, there should be a limit on how long a single person should be able to occupy the room. I will now take my business to a local store.

Guitar Center rocks. Travis in audio/sound went out of his way to help me with a very detailed matter, taking great care to go through the explanation step by step and even help me compare some potential products which could be right for my professional purposes. This type of attention, time and consideration is rare these days and I truly appreciate his willingness to help. Jeremy was also a star, responding to an inquiry I initially made via email. He addressed my issue concisely, professionally and with enough awareness of the subject matter that I wanted to come into the store to learn more and inquire about equipment. The atmosphere inside is funky, colorful, vibrant and alive enough to bring out anyones inner musician or avid listener.A gorgeous, shiny, aqua green-colored, electric guitar is on display near the front entrance (*looked to be in perfect condition)...and upon seeing it, I realized I secretly wished I was on tour and living in a world of music at that very moment. My experience at G.C. ultimately hit a grand slam: after the professional assistance was rendered, I ultimately remembered that seeing my favorite artists live in concert (when the health crisis has passed) is a number one priority in order to stay aligned with my music therapy.Everyone, lets support our local artists in safe/socially distanced outdoor spaces or venues (they do exist!). I plan to check out any advertised bands or groups who might be out playing right now; their art and soul helps us remember whats important; that were all in this together, and life is truly a rhythmic tune, complete with ups and downs. We can still enjoy the ride...lets go!
