Incredible staff, and knowledgeable technicians. But they do not stock parts for anything but the line they sell. So plan in waits for parts. Also like everyone else they are stretched thin for employees and so plan on a wait for an appt also.Staff is super nice.Also they do a maintenance program that can save you money on calls and head off some problems.

Avoid Poudre Valley Air at all costs. We had the Unico AC system installed in our remodeled house last year. We had never used the system until it got hot in the last couple weeks. Before using the AC system we had issue after issue with the thermostats that they installed integrating without our heating system (which they assured us would integrate just fine). We went without heat last winter for days until we had to manually start the heating system, and Poudre Valley Air dragged their feet getting out to us, then sending technicians who did not know how to fix what was going on. After many calls to Poudre Valley Air and several visits they got the head control integrated to the thermostats. We were told the system is all set to go. Then this spring it got hot. We turned the system on and it was not cooling. Several days later they were able to send out techs who informed us there was a leak in the system, supposedly repaired that, and then told us they werent familiar with the system that their company, Poudre Valley Air, installed. Despite this visit the AC system is LOUD, blows a minimal amount of air, and the air is not cold, just slightly cool. The system we had installed is billed as high velocity, able to cool a room in minutes and QUIET. Two calls were made to the company yesterday. The first was not returned. The second several hours later was answered by someone who 1) knew nothing about the system and 2) said they would call back with someone who knew more. No one called back. Today I spoke to someone and despite their system being an ongoing issue, they have no one to come out to look at it for over a week, and then the person I spoke to couldnt assure me that it was someone who knew the system. This is the same thing that happened last winter/fall when we were having heating and thermostat issues. No one calls you back. No one is available, and when a technician does come out they are not familiar with the system. This is so unacceptable. If we had known what kind of company Poudre Valley Air is we would never have spent a ton of money getting what is thus far a worthless system installed.

Just paid the electric bill for the first full month with our new PVA second-floor mini split system. The upstairs office is comfortable for the first time in 15 years. The year-to-year power usage over the same period last year was 127 KWH less (27% reduction). The bill was $17.56 lower (37% reduction). We could never get the upstairs below 78° no matter how cold the downstairs was. Now it is perfectly comfortable upstairs and down with significant savings. The old unit doesn’t even come on until evening on these 90+° days. We didnt know going in whether we would save anything on electricity, but the new system is ultra efficient and is carrying the bulk of the cooling during the day…quietly…inside and outside.We picked Poudre Valley for their reasonable bid on the system and would go back for their excellent service.

Dominik did an excellent job of uncovering the problem quickly. He got our A/C unit running again and tested its operation to make sure it was working properly. I appreciate that he patiently explained what had happened to me so I could understand the repair. Excellent job!

Was very happy with the initial visit. They were able to come early, were thorough, and identified our issue quickly. We scheduled a followup to take care of next steps to get our failed AC unit replaced.

We had PV Air come out initially for maintenance on our furnace. They were great! Timely, honest and low pressure. Due to the age of our furnace and the cost of the needed repair we decided to install it new furnace and add a/c while at it. We shopped around and their prices were as good or better than other companies. We had both installed and decided to have the ducts cleaned since we were having the rest done. They scheduled it back to back so we were inconcienced the least and did a spectacular job with it all! Highly recommend them!

The team at Poudre Valley Air was amazing. They showed up ready to go. On a hot day and no AC, they work diligently and communicated well. The team stayed late into the evening to ensure the final install was complete. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had AC leading into the heat. We felt so bad for the guys working late, but they powered through, kept a great attitude, and completed the job! I am also inquisitive, and the team was great at answering all of my questions. They came to my home to repair a leak that had just started happening. Very nice, professional, easy to relate to on issues at hand and different topics. Brodie had been out here to perform service on our residential heating and AC units, so he was familiar with our systems. Personable technician, no issues, did a thorough job of cleaning our filters, replaced our humidifier core to get ready for next cold season, and prompted us to renew our annual maintenance contract. Steven did a wonderful job of assessing multiple issues with our Air Conditioning. He was on-time, professional and worked very hard to solve the problem. There was a broken wire that was hard to find causing the main issue and he stayed at it until he solved the issue. Great job!

My paperwork says we had Tyler, Tyler, Cory and Caleb at our install. They were so polite and kind to each other, constantly asking if they could borrow this or that from each other--Ive had a lot of contractors/technicians in my house in the last 5 years and this was by far the nicest bunch. Also, possibly more of note, the air conditioning works great and is my new favorite thing in life. I had some quotes that were over double what we paid (granted it was for mini-splits not central, but we wanted central anyway!) Some quotes said it would be nearly impossible to install central air in our house. Glad that wasnt the answer here! If you need me, Ill just be hosting people in my icy cold home this summer. 💁

They are busy and understaffed, so it took over a week to get our broken AC checked out, but then I was very pleased. Larry was patient, experienced, and educated me well. Plus fixed our problem until the leak kills the system again. But we know what to expect.

They were supposed to repair the outside control wires but told me that they could include this in an inspection since I was selling my house.So I scheduled an inspection then later received a $79 bill for the repair that never happened.When I contacted their BILLING on 2 different days in a row, they each said they would get back and never did.So I am out $79 for a guy to come out and do literally NOTHING.So much for customer service or a repeat customer.What a scam not to mention piss poor customer service

We needed warranty replacement of our secondary heat exchanger. Brodie was skilled and friendly. There was no up-charging or over-assertive sales tactics. We had purchased a service contract with another large HVAC/plumbing service in town, but have had repeated concerns about their assessment of our needs. Poudre Valley Air has throughly impressed us with their knowledge, competitive pricing and timely service. They were our second opinion and now they are our first choice.

First half of our semi-annual maintenance performed. Steve Knopp did a thorough job, and the experience was great.

Their technicians are always professional and do a good job with our HVAC systems spring and fall maintenance. I also purchased the systems from Poudre Valley Htg & Air originally about six years ago. I do however feel all their technicians should be fully vaccinated against COVID19 as of May 2021 before entering homes. Today a tech started coming in without a mask. I asked if he was vaccinated and he said no Im one of those that dont think they know enough about it yet. Well he is putting others in jeopardy. He graciously went back and got a mask, but as far as Im concerned, now that vaccines are readily available and free, service technicians entering private homes and businesses should be vaccinated.

Larry informed me that there was no power to circuit board & it needed to be replaced. Told me to turn down the thermostat so that the fan would not run & left. I checked furnace after he left, pulled heater panels off furnace & found that the igniter wire was disconnected. Went to U tube to figure out where the igniter wire should be connected & connected wire. Turned thermostat up to 74, then held panel button in to see if furnace would lite. Fan came on, heard click on circuit board, then heard igniter clicking & then the flame came on. Reinstalled furnace panels. Now the furnace is working fine.Ed Hollingsworth

I had my furnace installed with Poudre Valley Air. I didnt have any issues with the installation. Then in the next 2 years every year something went wrong with my furnace. This time when my furnace went out they couldnt get me in till the next evening. I asked for the manger and he proceeded to tell me they were having trouble keeping up with services for months and have placed several advertisements for help. He just cant pick up help on the street corner. I called a competitor and they were out in less then 2 hours. Wish I would of went with a company that can keep staff because there is normal a reason a company is short staffed.

Total sh-t job, boiler and gas line installed not to code!! After 17 months boiler caught subfloor on fire and we called the fire department.Tried to install same boiler but building inspector made them order new one.We had no heat or hot water for 13 days!! New boiler and gas line installed up to city code and inspected.The fire could have been a disaster if I wasnt home.Make sure all their work is inspected and up to code....No compensation offered for our troubles and inconvenience.

From start to finish it was great. Rock was upfront and very knowledgeable during the quote and it came in 10k less than the other quotes we received. I had an excellent experience with PVA with the installation of my new furnace and AC. They arrived on time with all their equipment and new units. After a short tour of the old equipment it was determined that the new AC unit needed to be relocated and electrical run to the the new location. They quickly arranged for technicians to do the electrical work while they continued on with their work. Both of technicians understood their roles and worked independently to efficiently install both units and to test them prior to giving us a tutorial on our new equipment. They were friendly, courteous, and respectful to us and our home, while displaying the depth of knowledge you would want from someone doing this kind of work. Additionally, they completely cleaned up after themselves, not leaving a scrap behind. They are welcome back in my home anytime.

Our technician, Phillip was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Our a/c has not been serviced for several years and Phillip was very thorough. He changed the filter in the furnace and the humidifier and showed me how to operate the humidifier. He was also super nice to my dog that wouldn’t leave him alone. Phillip is usually the technician who comes to my house and hes friendly, knowledgeable, gives me all the details I need and... my cat loves him! We have a service contract with PVA for our HVAC system. Furnace gets serviced once a year in the Fall and AC gets serviced once a year in the Spring (or in this case due to the pandemic, Summer). Today we had the AC service completed. Weve owned this home less than a year. We knew the AC was old, but we did not know it was 25 years old! Its a York. They certainly dont build em like that anymore. Our tech was quite surprised to see how old it is and said its 10+ years beyond its expected life, but working perfectly. All tests specd out. Actually, everyone we had contact with at Poudre Valley Air was like this, including Dimitri who diagnosed our old dead furnace, and Rock who provided well explained options and an estimate for the work — even the person we first talked to on the phone asking for help! We were really relieved to get a new furnace before the single-digit nights the past two days! Someone up that line deserves an “atta person” for hiring an outstanding team. I was shocked at the customer service I received. I have been a customer for YEARS and I thought this time was no different. I had a leak in my humidifier. Their quote to fix for almost $1,000 but a brand new one was almost half. (seemed fishy but ok...) The tech told me that he fixed my leak and to go to Lowes instead for a new line. I went back to my basement a few days later and found water everywhere. The leak wasnt fixed at all. I called to ask about getting my fee back but it took me 2 days of calling and promised call backs to finally speak to Sarah from customer service. She gave me a lot of run around but in the end she said you agreed to the service and because you decided to not go with our service we cant give you any refund on the service you got Even if the service was faulty. I am disappointed that when a tech tells me its fixed and recommends me to do something they cant stand behind that.

They were able to come the day after I called. Phillip did a fantastic job! He was quick and efficient. He wore booties to protect my carpet and was very nice to our cat. I would recommend him any day!

Phillip was awesome. The minute he got here I knew wed hired the right people. He was friendly but worked efficiently and was even concerned the duct cleaning would scare my dogs. Our vents definitely needed some TLC and I already feel like I can breathe better. He also serviced the furnace and made sure 100% that is was in working order before leaving. Will be using them again in the future and requesting Phillip as our tech if possible!

Interviewed 5 companies and found PVA to have best quality at best price for us. Sales experience with Rock was very good--so far, everything promised has been delivered. Their folders cover says, When you just want great service..., and Poudre Valley Air lives up to that slogan. We called them one day to get our furnace serviced. Well, it was old and leaking a lot of hazardous carbon monoxide. The service tech, Brody, shut off the gas then and there. Yikes! But from that moment on we never felt abandoned. Brody called the office and got us set up to choose a new furnace that night and install it the next day. Then he left us with space heaters to get us through the night. That evening Andy came through with a lot of options, which he helped us navigate easily. We put in our order. The next day, Dominik and Dustin worked the entire day getting us set up with a new furnace and air conditioner. They were extremely professional, keeping our carpets clean, carefully routing all pipes and wires, responding to all my questions and concerns. They even hauled away my old evaporative cooler. Start to finish I could not have been happier with my service experience with Poudre. Thanks everyone!

Great service and knowledgeable techs

Made an appointment and they never showed, called and was supposed to get called back and nothing. These guys flaked on a furnace repair in -9 degree weather.

Phillip just completed our fall furnace service. As usual, he was very courteous and did a great job. We needed to have the humidifier filter replaced and it was nice to learn that he had a replacement filter in his truck. All in all, a job well done.

Joe came to help us with our furnace. He had such great customer service skills. My little guy got his first wasp sting and Joe immediately got some mud for me to apply to his neck to help reduce the sting. Joe connected right away with my son to get him distracted and gave him a Gatorade and granola bars which stopped the crying and got him on the mend. Last year, on another unit, Poudre Valley Air placed duct work to get heat upstairs in our old old house and replaced our heater there. Rock was great. He was able to came promptly for an estimate and gave me a very reasonable quote right there before he left in a print out. They also have an on call tech 24/7. I cant imagine using anyone else after such service. Thanks for doing business right!

Let me start by saying that I have used PV air at various places I have worked and the quality is awesome and usually the employees are great. On Saturday 5/2/2020 a PVA employee driving in a truck #253 cut me off on College Ave in a rush to get his morning coffee at Human Bean North. It was dangerous and he was so busy talking to his friend that he was oblivious. Remember even on off hours if you drive a company vehicle you are still representing your workplace

Provided faulty repair and install of new motor leaving out a part, didnt catch the problem after a second visit and charged more money, then quoted even more for a third visit and an unnecessary part (verified by a second opinion from a more reliable company). They should have refunded the entirety of the bill, but finally they have agreed to give us half of it back.UPDATE: Although we do appreciate that you gave us back half the money that your company stole from us, good will would have been a full refund plus to fix the problem on your dime since your company left our family literally in the cold during the coldest time of winter. Your tech knows they screwed up and tried to cover it up by charging us a lot more money.

Mike H. came out same day, we had a clogged line that leaked into a room so a timely response was greatly appreciated. Mike was professional, very competent, and took the time to not only diagnose but fully resolve the problem. He was patient in explaining the issue and offering strategies to avoid similar problems in the future. When he left we had a fully functional unit!

I have used Poudre Valley Air for years, getting the yearly maintenance plan which covers both an A/C and a furnace check. Today Phillip and Jacob came to clean the ducts, and did a great job! Reliable, friendly, and trustworthy!

Wrong size system for my house

The tech that came out was polite and informed he fixed our heater quickly and was polite with the kids running around and dogs. he fixed our heater after two day of it being broke from another company not fixing it. Thank you guys so much.

We have been customers of PVA for awhile now... every time we have an issue we call them. Most technicians are good, but Trace was the best by far. It is 100 degrees here, we had two technicians out in two days who couldnt figure out the issue. He came out, figured out what the problem was right away, and fixed it. Thank goodness because now we can finally feel cool in our home. If you need anything, make sure to request Trace at Poudre Valley Air.. he did an awesome job!! I know we will request him for anything we need done by the company.

A few years ago, PVA was not able to fit me in for a service call as soon as I needed, so I went with another company. After a horrible ecperience, it was a no brainer to go back with PVA.My AC was not working correctly. I called PVA this morning, and received a same day appointment. The service technician. Dane, was professional, knowledgeable, respectful and easy to talk with. The service was excellent, no upselling, and I was reminded why PVA has always been my go to. Wyatt and Tyler are expert installers. The beginning of the day was a whirlwind of activity between electricians and installers. The curious cat approved of each team member as they rushed about with their jobs. By early afternoon we had both heater and air conditioner installed and functioning properly. Again, the curious cat approves. We were shown all aspects of equipment installed and instructions were clearly given. The cat is satisfied so we are as well.

Very recently I had to have a new furnace. Dominik and Lam took out the old one and installed the new one very quickly and efficiently. I was especially appreciative of not having any cleanup to do when the job was done. Very nice, thanks.
