Rick, does the IRS know that you help your employees get unemployment benefits,by lying to the government about their hours ? And I have all the proof I need to turn you both in for fraud with the IRS.I know said worker works full time hours ( I have proof of that) and I also know you and that employee tell the government they work way less hours than they do so they can recieve extra unemployment benefits that they dont deserve.I will be contacting the IRS soon.Even if I have to stay on the phone for hours.

Purchased a new refrigerator from Sears Hometown Store. They delivered it on time and set it up, also hauled away the old one. Did an outstanding job of setting it up, went through everything with us about the new one. Great service, very please we bought from them. Would highly recommend them to everybody!
In the last year I have bought a new washing machine, stove, and fridge from Sears Hometown Store in Fort Dodge, Iowa and I have not been disappointed yet. Their team is knowledgable about the products they sell and their delivery team is top notch! When my fridge was delivered the guys swooped in quickly and efficiently, showed amazing teamwork, and moved like a well-oiled machine. Manager Jason has sold me all my products and his knowledge and helpfulness was awesome in helping me make my decisions. I cant recommend this store enough!
Our Bosch dishwasher which we bought from Sears has not worked since Thanksgiving. The repair techs that Sears uses have been unable to to repair it after countless service calls. They finally determined that that are unable to repair it in May. Then they insisted on another visit in June to take more pictures. It is now July and still no dishwasher.We called the local store today to advise them what the round around we were getting today and now they refuse to talk to us.For the last 15+ years we bought ALL of our appliances from Sears. And we purchased their extended warranties each time.Since they usually take a minimum of two service calls over two months to fix anything, I went ahead and just troubleshooted and fixed our Kenmore washing machine myself earlier this year even though it was still under their extended warranty. I tolerated this in the past because I didnt have to deal with it. But the dishwasher situation is way, way, beyond absurd.At this time we have absolutely no reason to ever step foot in any Sears store ever again. I wish I could give negative stars.FYI: Our last two dishwashers (current one and the one it replaced), current washing machine, current dryer, last two kitchen refrigerators (current one and the one it replaced), last two upright freezers (current one and the it replaced) all came from Sears.

I was sold a washing machine on September 13. it was making loud banging noises and they said my floor was uneven. not true. it was serviced and made a quieter banging noise. around mid November it began to leak from the hose they told me I needed to purchase. the clothes come out hot so I assume they were installed backwards. I purchased the sears protection plan and have since got the run around from sears for days about all this. Not to mention treated rude . they acted put out about giving me phone numbers to call. I am doing all the leg work on this ordeal as well! Last week it was serviced again and I was told it was severely damaged when it was installed and the hose is cracked . Inside back of cabin is caved in. All this and I have not yet been approved for a replacement!!!
Over the last couple of months, I have ordered 4 appliances with consistant outstanding service.
If i could rate this place 0 stars I would.As a past employee of the store I can tell you that you would be way better of getting your stuff from the Des Moines Sears stores.
The new owner Rick Jones considers himself a man but I have mutiple voice memos saved to my phone making fun of 2 babies who passed away.He went out of his way to call me from the SEARS phone, to leave me messages, couldnt even he man enough to use his own phone !!! I also saved tons of missed/declines calls when he was harassing me like the unprofessional man he is.

Ordered a dishwasher from Sears Hometown Store two months ago and it is still not here yet. The truck “keeps getting delayed”. If you want something fast do not go through them for appliances. They didn’t even offer a discount or free instillation.When I ordered my dishwasher I was told it was stainless in the inside. Picked it up today and it is not stainless. Very disappointed with the service all around.
A salesman’s livelihood and store reputation can be affected by the quality of its service. In years past, I’ve always had a fondness for the Sears hometown store in Fort Dodge, IA. Appliances, electronics, tools it didn’t matter. The people were always great. When everything goes well, no problem. To test true quality is when things go poorly.We purchased a beautiful refrigerator freezer for my 92 year old mom. We had an irresponsible (technician named walt). He managed to waste our time over 3 calls and a period of 9 weeks. A consumer can feel helpless and in our case here is our mom using a dorm fridge. Jason Vote was apprised of the situation. He was tenacious letting people know further up the line know our problem. He realized the issues and did everything he could to help. Before the 12th week, 4th service call, and a letter to the Better Business Bureau he got action from upper management. Jason, who wasn’t even the sales person initially turned this around. Rick and Cory did a tremendous job when they picked up the old fridge and brought us a new one. Situation resolved. Jason took an imposible problem and kept us Sears Hometown store customers. Nice Job Jason!

Our upright deep freezer was starting to not cool enough, I went to Sears Hometown and found one that would work for us. Unfortunately the delivery to the store and then to our home was 2 weeks away. Hearing our freezer might not make it that long and living here in town, Randy checked with their delivery team and scheduled us in for a delivery 3 hours later for the floor model. Who could ask for anything more?
Every thing was fine but didnt have one part that I needed
We ordered a dryer and two bottom drawers over the phone, drove an hr to pick up nothing. They didnt order them cause they didnt take our payment information. How am I supposed to know that, Im not the one selling something. Still a week later and no dryer. We ordered from Bestbuy
Sears Hometown Store was very quick with helping us with pricing, getting the right cord for the dryer, and setting us up with a protection plan. Extremely professional and courteous.

I am being harrased by an individual, Law Enforecement Has been contacted.
