We just purchased a 1996 West Bay through Seattle Yachts Fort Lauderdale. Ed Chapdelaine was the selling broker. Ed was fantastic to work with. Even though we were the buyers, Ed made us feel like we were a part of the Seattle Yachts family. Ed was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and always available to answer our questions. He knew the history on our boat, including specific information that wouldn’t have been known. He made the buying process easy. Ed is a great broker to work with. We hope you’ll have the same experience as we did!

I have worked with Ed Chapdelaine on three boat deals to date a 65’ 2003 Grand Alaskain “FBMY”, 2015 Hampton Endurance 686 “Downtime”, and 2015 Hampton Endurance 686 “Lenora D”. I have experienced nothing but professionalism on each deal. As a Yacht Captain I have worked with several Brokers over the years and no one has been easier to work with. Ed has the experience and knowledge to see that the deals go through. Truly a pleasure to work with.

My experience with Seattle Yachts has been great! I just purchased a 2019 Nimbus T9 and can not be happier! In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to Ed Chapdelaine and Robert.Ed was just a joy to work with and extremely responsive to questions. He truly is someone who loves what he does and it shows. He was extremely thorough in demonstrating every feature of the boat and went the extra mile during an all day sea trial and even came to my house the next day to ensure the dock lines and knots were done properly---amazing service! His experience with boats shows and he was just a joy to work with. He facilitated some minor repairs with the boat and the work was top notch. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a boat.Robert was extremely helpful offering advice to us as new boat owners, and he made the boat immaculate! It was spotless and looked like a new boat after he detailed it. I hope to work with him in the future.I rarely write reviews, but feel that everyone should know that these guys are the real deal.Matt

We closed on the purchase of Second Star, our new 2020 American Tug 395, in early November 2020. This is the fourth new boat we have purchased and by far the nicest. It has now been about two months since closing. Our salesman was Glenn Runyan, who is Seattle Yachts Regional Sales Manager. The entire process from pre-purchase, through closing and delivery was terrific. Glenn, Theo (who does the technical work) and Robert (who keeps the boats pristine) consistently exceed our expectations. Both before and after closing whenever we noticed anything that needed attention, Glenn, Theo and/or Robert jumped on it immediately. On more than one occasion, we would ask them to do something and they would do more than we asked. A good example was our request that they refresh the bottom paint before we took delivery. That is probably something that they could have hemmed and hawed on some or asked us to share in the cost, but they didn’t. Rather, they had the boat hauled, a complete bottom job done, painted the running gear with Prop Speed, installed new zincs and even cleaned up the ladder. Robert then waxed the entire hull. That was typical of Robert. We left the boat in Ft Lauderdale for a few weeks after closing. Every time Robert found out we would be going to the boat he gave the boat a complete wash down before we arrived. The boat was always spotless.Glenn and his team never objected to taking care of anything that we thought needed attention no matter how small. Whenever I expressed surprise that they had done something that went beyond what we had requested, Glenn would respond that he wanted the boat to be “perfect.” Perfect is a very high standard for any boat, but that is what you get with Glenn, Theo and Robert.Theo, who handled our technical orientation and all mechanical issues also consistently went way beyond the call of duty. He immediately responded to every question and concern we had even though he obviously had a lot of other work on his plate. He gave us his personal cell phone and encouraged us to call anytime, even on Thanksgiving day. A typically example of Theo’s commitment was our shower. Right before we were going to take the boat home from Ft. Lauderdale we noticed a problem with the shower door frame and an area of damaged gel coat in the shower. We were sure that Theo wouldn’t have time to address those problems before we left. We told him that we had plans to do a return cruise to Ft. Lauderdale over the winter and he could fixed those problems then. He said ok. However, a few days later after we left for home I happened to notice that both problems had been completely resolved. Theo never even told us he had fixed them. To this day, I don’t know how he managed to fix those problems so quickly. But that was typically of the service we received from Theo (and Glenn and Robert). Now that Second Star is home at our dock, the post sale service from Glen and Theo has been just as good. Although, we really haven’t needed much as American Tug works directly with their customers on warranty issues. But Glenn still checks in from time to time to see if need anything. He has made it very clear that if we need anything at all he and Theo are there for us.In summary, the purchase and delivery of our boat simply could not have been any better. In the words of Glenn, it was “perfect.” We highly recommend Seattle Yachts Ft. Lauderdale office, especially the team of Glenn, Theo and Robert.

I have worked with Ed Chapdelaine for years as we have moved in and out of boating. His knowledge of the industry coupled with his understanding of his client’s wants and needs makes for a very efficient and satisfying experience. Recently he helped steer us through a number of options before helping us settle on an impeccably clean and refurbished Hampton 58 that will serve our purpose of cruising the islands in comfort and safety. Great job Ed.

EdWard Chapdelaine has represented me in the buying and/or selling of four yachts over the past 20 years: a 58, a 70, a 65 and a 47. Ed is everything a customer could want in a broker. Ed is honest, candid, highly professional, knowledgeable, tenacious and tireless. He knows the markets, he knows what is selling and for what price. He knows what matters when you want to sell ... and he knows what you should pay attention to when buying. He often knows the history of a boat you might be considering. Ed knows how to present a boat for sale. He easily understand your own preferences when you are buying and he will find boats which meets your wishes and needs. He has a very keen sense of how boats will trade. I cannot imagine having a better broker to buy or sell a boat. Walt Higgins

We were extremely fortunate to list our 62 Ocean Yacht boat with Ed Chapdelaineof Seattle Yachts Ft. Lauderdale. It is rare for a listing agent to take ownership andtreat our boat as it was his. Our beautiful boat was hard to sell because it was anenclosed sports fisher. In fact, we had listed with another well-known broker fortwo (2) years and decided to list with Ed Chapdelaine whom we had met at oneof the boat shows years past. Ed took charge and told us what we had to do toprepare the boat for sale. We highly recommend Ed Chapdelaine to anyone thatwants a broker that genuinely cares and follows up on all leads.Nick and Karen PourzalSt. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
