I really like the new look. The restaurant is outdoors now. Its really beautiful how they set it up. Its like being in a beautiful green oasis in the middle of the city.I ordered the biscuits and gravy I am single and gavr it was delicious. The biscuits was warn, tasty and flaky. I am not kidding. It was really good. I would really this dish. The gravy was chunky and tasted good.I ordered the OB breakfast. It was eggs, thick cut bacon and a side. I chosed creamy grits. Everything was delicious. I was very happy with my meal. I specially liked the creamy cheese grits, delicious. You got to try the baked good. They are freshly done.. I really like the 6 grain bread . Its really good. The muffins ate also great .I was given a complementary chocolate chip cookie. It was good. It tasted freshly done. I enjoyed it.The staff was very helpful and friendly. The ordering is now done with your phone, the payments too. Its actually pretty easy. The meal comes out in a basket. Everything is individually labeled and packaged in disposable containers. It kinda cute. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. A meter parking. You can also find parking around the streets.
First time here after the pandemic started. Things have changed quite a bit. You are seated and instructed to order and pay through a website. Thankfully, the food is better than before. Love the Pineapple Pecan pancake!
Heard a lot of great things about this place and was excited to try it. Right off the bat I didn’t like that we had to order online from our table, pay for our food in advance as well as tip a minimum set of 18% even though there are no waiters or waitresses. The food was very delicious, however portions were tiny and served in aluminum containers as if I was at day camp. Would’ve preferred having plates and metal cutlery like every other breakfast place. The only other thing that really bothered me is the host/waiter/greeter started touching my phone showing me how to order without my consent and lacked A LOT of personal hygiene in many ways, mainly that his hands and fingernails were beyond dirty. Besides that however, the decor and atmosphere were great and I loved that they locally source all their ingredients. Hopefully they go back to how they used to be.
This morning was our first time dining at O-M House and we’ll definitely come back. Whether you prefer traditional breakfast fare or something out of the ordinary, you’ll find something you like and it’ll be delicious. Kris, the garden court ambassador, is excellent!
Do not waste your time and money! This place is certainly overpriced. You have to go online to order and pay for the food and tip, upfront!!The waitress was unfriendly and weird and brought the food in disposable containers and in the basket like in grocery store without even taking it out of the basket lol. The food is ok. Nothing special about it. Two fried eggs with 2 slices of bacon costed me $15 and if you want to get toasts you have to pay extra. I’ve never seen something like that before. The only good thing was an outside setting, yet without an inside option.Final and the funniest thing is that they have a sign on the restroom door, which says “do not poop”.
Very nice atmosphere, my brother and I went there for brunch and they make very good open face sandwiches. Everything is touchless, no contact. They do not take cash and the menu is online and you pay online. The outside patio area was nice, there is shade and a nice breeze. Service was on point. Id eat there again.
Taste - 5/5Quality - 5/5Price - $$$Ambience: 4/5Neighborhood: 2/5Covid measures: 5/5Parking: No free parking. Street parking and lot parking options available for $Eco friendliness: 1/5. All dine-in food served in plastic and foam containers.Recommendations: Pancakes, pancakes and yes, pancakes.First of all, you will not be disappointed with the taste! Worth the extra $. One 6 inch pancake is $15 but definitely filling (very thick). Their coffee is surprisingly good too. Beautiful ambience! Can understand the need for complete touch less service (online ordering at the table, no indoor dining and food served in discardable containers). But when you take safety measures, you gotta take service measures as well. Should improve website for customizations, should add complimentary WiFi etc.
Ate here today! I order the Belgium white chocolate pancakes🥞 with a side of bacon! The wait wasn’t horrible! Altogether I spent an hour and 10 minutes with waiting to be seated (was told 20 minutes but it was more like only 10). Matt was my waiter. He went over the menu with me. They have a good concept to help aid with social distancing which is a plus. Food is ordered through QR which is at most restaurants except you pay through their online system also. They clean behind EACH AND EVERY customer! I mean TRUE wipe downs! The pancake was good not great but once again, I think I may have ordered the wrong flavor (for me). I think the flavors were a bit too rich for me! Wish I had gotten then blueberry for the first time! Bacon was okay also! Very greasy (not a fried greasy but more of a baked and left sitting in grease without being patted off is the best way to explain). But I would definitely eat here for breakfast again and try another pancake or a biscuit but skip the bacon! Once again, everyone was really nice and food was fresh!! Matt even gave me a complimentary cookie. As I left, the young lady went inside to get me a bag for my leftovers! Guy who seated me was pleasant as well. I think this is a gem that I can’t wait to go back and try again...
EVERYTHING was SO good. All made from scratch! Id go back for the fresh baked toast and home churned butter alone! The only reason I didnt give more stars is because the mimosas had WAY too much freshly squeezed OJ and you cant do menu substitutions- their recipes are unique. Will go back and get toast😄PS: You can eat there but HAVE to use their app to order and everything comes in to go containers w plasticware. Thanks, Covid.
Haven’t been in a while and probably won’t return, last time I was there staff was very rude about what time they closed and about ordering more drinks too close to their closing time… which is 2 in the afternoon. You would think for the over priced food they would at least allow you to finish your drinks before trying to rush you out of there.
The good:- coffee: lattes actually still taste like coffee & aren’t sickly sweet- the biscuits- the pancakes- the grits- the atmosphere: cute tables with umbrellas outside- the service: our waiter was very helpful & attentiveThe bad:- food took forever to come out- presentation: it is not cheap compared to other places yet you are eating out of metal and plastic. There’s a ton of waste and it’s messy trying to pick through the basket and find your order. (Look how sad it looks in the photo 😭)- food other than what’s listed above wasn’t good. Just very mediocre and overpriced.
My expectations may have been a little higher than the outcome but this place is just ok. The venue and location is actually quite nice and the service was friendly and exceptional. But neither of these things match the taste of the food. The food is very fresh overall but the preparation of some of the items arent as expected. For instance the pancakes are oven baked, and taste more like a semi-sweet cornbread rather than pancakes. The eggs and sausage (especially the pork patty) are cooked to perfection but the Louisiana omelet that I had missed the mark with just choosing gruyere cheese and ham as the ingredients. Maybe some andouille sausage or some kind of spice to increase the flavor. As previously stated maybe my expectations were to high, especially when the waiter started off by saying this will be the best breakfast you will ever have, but I honestly dont see us coming back here, or at least any time soon.
Okay... so the banana pecan pancake is deserving of nothing less than a chef’s kiss! Wow! I mean, can these really be called pancakes?! They’re more like custard cakes of delicious and yummy goodness!!! The eggs are organic and so fresh.I know the prices may seem a bit high, but it’s not your every day breakfast experience either. It amazing food! We have been looking for that great breakfast place and we finally found it.The service is helpful and kind but the current ordering set up may seem confusing at first, but just roll with it, it’s worth it.It’s an all around 5 stars ⭐️ from me!!
First of I would like to say the food is good. My dish was great. The reason for my one star is due to the following:- We were a party of 6 including a child.- There are no servers only food runners.- The ordering process was done on the customers phone via a QR Code. This did not work for me as I wanted to order my sons food first so he can begin eating right away since he’s a slow eater.- The food took 50 minutes to come out I had to repeatedly ask for them to check since it’s hot out and our drinks were out due to the long wait. Rule of thumb for restaurants if the customers need two refills of water the food is taking too long to come out.- My two sisters in laws had to return their food to the kitchen. One of the omelette was undercooked and the egg was raw and gooey. Even after taken back to the kitchen the inside of the omelet came back undercooked. The other dish was a pineapple pancake where the restaurant claimed that because of the pineapple it gave a wet texture to the pancake which to my sister in law tasted like raw dough.- The restaurant offered a refund for the pancake but it could not be done before we left and we had to wait til 2:30pm as they were too busy to issue the refund. The time at the moment was 11:30am. The food runner’s name is Kristofer and said the only person issuing refunds was the owner and they were busy. I asked how will I make sure that I’ll receive my refund he answered you have to trust us. I asked for the phone number and they said they don’t have a phone or that they don’t answer but he didn’t know there was a phone. He also said if they didn’t issue the refund that I will have to come back in physically. I live far away so I can’t.- 6pm came about and no refund was issued. I called and left a voicemail. I have not received any refund or phone call yet.My overall experience was bad. My food was fine but from the poor ordering process, wait time, undercooked food and lack of refund made me not to recommend this place and to not go there in the future.Update 10/19/2021: I received a call from the owner and they issued me a full refund. I have updated my rating to 4 stars.
Enjoyed it all. Pancakes and omelets were good. Nice ambiance.
This is a nice quaint breakfast spot. Their pricing is a little on the expensive side for the serving size, but the food is freshly made and it is filling. They have made a few changes to the menu, pricing as well as ordering and paying is done strictly online. The food is brought out in a basket in to go containers. The ordering process is pretty simple you take a pic of the bar code (depending which table you sit at) then a link pops up for you to place your order and pay (tip included) you have three different options for tips %.
Definitely dont waste your time or money here! Ordered an omlette it came undercooked and asked polite if they could just cook it a little longer the serve was rude and told us he is burning it for me with a rude attitude. I work at a breakfast place as well and honestly have never witnessed such disrespect from employees not only were they rude but didnt receive an apology nothing.... not worth what you pay for
Ive been coming here for years! Its the greatest! OB House has had the most graceful transition post-COVID and I almost prefer the new set up even more! Ive never had a bad item on the menu and love to switch it up whenever Im there, but the one constant is a glass of their sangria! Delicious!!
You have to order using a QR code. Every thing comes out in “to go” packaging, utensils are plastic and paper plates. If you want let’s say more syrup then you you can’t just ask your “server” you have to order it on your phone. The over all dinning Experience just sucked. I used to eat here all the time and loved the level of service however that is no longer the case these days!
The ultimate breakfast experience. First thing, the coffee is otherworldly. The care and detail to this alone tells you what is in store for your visit. The price point is exactly what it should be for such high quality made to order from scratch clean food. The pancakes, superb, the biscuits. I could go on and on but the detail that solidifies the caliber of this restaurant is when we noticed the owner was running food when we were there. This shows one thing, passion to the experience he is trying to cater to each individual patron. From the beautiful outdoor seating to the quality of food. 10 out of 10, and we have traveled far and wide. Dont miss out on this.
Relaxing and beautiful outdoor dining area with great service and delicious food.
Beautiful outdoor eating area- peaceful. Excellent food. Homemade granola was fabulous. Biscuit delicious. Our server, Matt was the best. Loved the new look( for us)of OB.We remember when it first opened. Keep upThe great food and superb staff
Good was amazing and quite different from what I expected. So I went in expecting the same old breakfast blah blah. To my surprise everything is different the $18 pancakes are literally like the size of a cake and oven baked. So good, we also had the burger which was awesome and the sides were also phenomenal. Can’t wait to visit again, my only complaint is I wanted to put my sons order in first and then take my time to devise what I wanted, but they clearly require the entire order at once.
Horrible ordering system. You can only order over the phone and you have to pay and even give a tip BEFORE they bring the food to you. Food is fresh and good but the pancakes are nothing extraordinary. They had a lot people waiting and gave bigger tables to parties of 2 or 3 people instead of using larger tables for larger groups. Host was very rude. We will not go back to this place and do not recommend it.
This place is strange, the outside seating was the only thing I really liked about my experience here. The food and drinks are extremely overpriced and the service is a bit on the unusual side. Everything comes out as if you were taking it to go. I did not enjoy ordering everything off of my phone. I feel that contactless service takes away from the overall experience of eating out. If I wanted my experience to be as contactless as possible, I would have just picked it up and ate at home. The menu was very limited, for side options you better like grits because thats really all they offer unless you want to get potato salad...For 2 people the bill was around $70 - that included a breakfast sandwich, a soupy egg hash meal, 1 small pancake w fruit and pecans & 2 drinks. I wanted to love this place but I left feeling very unsatisfied.
I came to this place because of the multiple good reviews but I must say it is very overpriced. The host was very nice and friendly. First of all you have to place your order yourself using their website, there are no serves, only food runners. They bring you the food in a basket and leave you to eat it until your done, no one checks up on you, because once again there are no servers. My husband ordered French toast and asked for more syrup, but unfortunately if you want more syrup you have to place that order online as well, just to ask for a side of syrup...mind blowing. Food tasted good I am not going to lie, but their coffee sucks . I am a coffee fanatic and you can find their same coffee at Waffle House
Ive been in Ft Lauderdale for 10 days and this is hands down the best meal and experience Ive had the entire time Ive been here! Matt has been incredible and made sure our experience was nothing short of amazing. That includes restaurants all over the beach and in the high end hotels. Dont miss the wonderful food and relaxing experience you will talk about forever!
When my friends ask what is the best restaurant in FLL - I always say its OB HOUSE.The food is prepared with such an attitude and care about organic, local produce, and traditional recipes. You wont find it in other places.Pancakes are the specialty of OB House. All the possible variations and they come with maple syrup and butter. Great for takeout too.Shrimp pancake - amazing. In 2020 they switched to contactless ordering through the app. First time its unusual, but then - its convenient.having breakfast at OB House - is a unique experience, unique not because of the fancy stuff, but due to the quality and recipes.
Food and outside was nice. But the pricing of this is more than I spent in Monaco on breakfast during yacht season. A SINGULAR pancake is $15, a side of sliced tomatoes $7, a breakfast plate $20 something LMAO for the type of food it’s offensive
I’ll start of with saying that their food is AMAZING and the Mahi omelet is ordered every time we go. Happy to see that they expanded their outdoor seating and the environment is great! But… why are you using ALL to go cutlery and packaging? We were really disappointed realizing this. It’s incredibly wasteful and almost laughable. Yes, you order with a QR code and the service is SUPER hands off, you will be greeted and given water but the service model is just… it leaves the guest feeling very uncomfortable and unsure of what is “normal”. Are we supposed to get water? Do we have to ask? Do we have to order it on our phone? For our personal experience, we were delivered EVERYTHING in individual bags (wasteful) and were sent out muffin with no plates, no cutlery, no one there to ask for butter. Our $15 breakfast sandwich was brought out with no plates so we are supposed to eat on bags? They assured us that isn’t how it’s supposed to be delivered but all I can say to the owner is, if you follow this business model… you better NAIL IT. It leaves the smallest margin for error when you eliminate a server and there’s no “help yourself station” to grab extras if you need. If we order again, only pickup going forward. Just get a food truck maybe? I don’t know… this business model is trash if you’re charging the prices you are.
This place has really gone downhill they charged $26 for 2 eggs bacon grits and toast was an additional $5 tip already included. The left it on the table in to go containers at your table after you’d already paid it on your phone so not great considering the poor service and okay but so-so food. Not what it used to be get full service at any other restaurant in town or just go to Lesters Diner and be completely satisfied.
I never write a bad reviews, also because I dont have time for it. But in this situation I could not leave it indifferent. My family and I decided to go to a good place for breakfast, and made the mistake of paying attention only to the number of reviews.1) the prices are expensive and the portions are tiny - Bad!2) for maple syrup you need to pay extra $ 2 - Bad!3) you can only sit outside - Bad!4) outside in sunny day, hotter than hell, they dont have fans and umbrellas dont completely cover the table - BAD!we paid $84 for 2 coffees, 1 orange juice,1 omelette and 2 pancakes - BAD BAD BAD 🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️!our morning family out was ruined, we were thoroughly baked in the sun, exhausted and had to go home! Do not get into trouble, read the comments. The place has potential, but so far it deserves only 1 star.
Impressed. They literally treated my take out like a dine in. This really mattered and while I didn’t tip because I’ve been jaded lately my review is far more valuable
$18 for one pancake. Yes one pancake. It was their homemade special and it was delicious I must say but are you kidding me! The bill was very high… Place is in The absolute ghetto. Again food very delicious definitely not worth the price or your life…
Wow. Just left our first experience at O-B House. Everything that we ordered was exceptional. The BLT is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. The cheese grits were phenomenal, the potato side was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Our waiter Luis was excellent at explaining the food and making great suggestions. He made sure we had everything we needed. Exceeded all expectations for food, service, and atmosphere.
My favorite thing about this place is the Haitian lady that works here. I’ve been coming here for 7 years and I’m always pleasantly greeted by her. She’s a sweetheart
One of the most amazing breakfast Ive ever had. Everything was homemade and delicious. Price was a little high for breakfast but well worth it.
This place is great, calm pretty garden, food is great and a very distinctive menue, great service, thank you Chris
My mom had breakfast there today w/ my aunt and she raved about it! She asked me to write this review and give a shoutout to her wonderful server Matt. He asked her if she plans on coming back and the answer is YES! Matt we will be back, thank you for the great service. Mom is still talking about the amazing coffee and delicious biscuits.
10/10! The food was amazing, you can tell it’s homemade. The patio was very cute and our server was great. Highly recommend.
Great and unique breakfast spot in Fort Lauderdale. After growing up here we just never got a chance to try it until now. We have no previous experience but really enjoyed the new ordering system. I don’t know why people don’t like it but it minimizes contact to almost nothing and you get what you ordered. I liked the way they packed it, felt like you were on a picnic and if you wanted to take to go you just put the lid back on and go. The food was fresh and delicious. My husband had the Anchor Breakfast which is a piece of mahi, eggs to order, and a side. He got the mix green salad and didn’t even get to it because he was full. I had the blueberry pecan single pancake and we shared a single biscuit and gravy. I enjoyed mine very much I couldn’t even finish the single pancake myself. Yes it is definitely not priced like Denny’s or IHOP but your getting FRESH food that you don’t have to cook yourself. Also our server was Matt and he was so nice and informative of their ordering process. We will definitely be back!
The outdoor setting is great. Very comfortable and perfect for a nice day. The server told me that this was going to be the best breakfast I have had in awhile I didnt feel that way. I ordered the Mexican shipwreck, biscuit and the traditional breakfast. The food was well thought out but just fell short. I understand that many businesses have needed to make adjustments because of covid but the O.B house has decided to serve the food in to-go containers. Eating out of a aluminum tin just isnt that enjoyable. The tiniest bit of wind will have you fighting to keep the food on the table. I think the prices are fair but I dont want to spend $60 bucks and eat out of aluminum in a restaurant. Because of the no contact ordering the service seems distant and not personal.
My wife and I were looking for breakfast: she wanted a bagel, but I sacrificed her desires for something truly special.Jeffrey, our server, told us about a pancake that wasnt in the menu yet: it was oven baked with chunks of white chocolate and ground vanilla beans. He had a lot to say about the vanilla beans and to be honest, most of it went over my head. But he seemed to know a lot about beans, and I really appreciated that.We ordered a pancake and biscuits and gravy. My wife and I both immediately agreed that this was the best biscuits and gravy we ever had. The biscuits were dense, fluffy and flaky all at the same time. You couldnt taste flour in the gravy, it was well executed and my tasted buds were overcome by a title wave of delightful sausage goodness. On to the pancake. Jeffrey gave us personal instructions on how to eat our pancake--you know, to properly enjoy it to the fullest. Now let me get you some instructions: get that pancake, and do whatever Jeffrey tells you to do.
This establishment is dear to my heart. Its a place you can visit every week or even once in a good while and there is something about it that makes O.B. House feel like home. It starts at the top, with the most genuine, proud and hard working owner you could ever be fortunate enough to meet let alone come to work for. I have had the pleasure of being greeted by many staff members in this quaint nook and everyone is so personable and pleasing, just an extension of what their boss holds them accountable for with all guests and regulars. The food is outstanding on any section of the menu from oven baked pancakes to the biggest BLT you can eat, and the coffee is ALWAYS the perfect temperature. Its a place I find my vehicle steering towards any time I am in the downtown Fort Lauderdale area around brunch time Whether its rain or shine...first at the door or closing time friendly faces are always ready to accommodate. Its how I treat myself on Fathers Day, my birthday or just when I need to make a good day a great day. My warmest thank you goes out to all staff and ownership of the restaurant, you truly never cease to amaze me. Great hospitality mixed with southern comfort food, it almost a good thing they arent open 24 hours I would never leave.
Was ignored when I did not have cellphone to pay for order! Great way to loose customers!!! I Had a meeting across the way FROM this O-B House today. I walked to get a much needed cup of coffee. Went to front door and sign says to order at host stand. I go to host stand and ask for coffee to go. Hostess states I need to order online. I told her I did not have my cell phone only my wallet. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Horrible customer service!!!
$25 (plus tax and tip) for an omelette that comes in a take-out tray, plus you need to order on your phone. Food was OK, nothing special. Dont expect that customers will be happy to pay a premium price for a mediocre offering.
Deliciousness!! From the service of Jerreldean to every single thing we ordered was amazing!! We ordered breakfast and lunch. Everyone left full and happy
The experience is a bit weird but its COVID, this was my first time in a restaurant in over 6 months and it was pleasant. The food made up for any awkwardness, the bacon was this crispy strip of crumbly deliciousness. The eggs were just as described and the biscuit, do not skip on biscuits!!! (One is enough to feed a small army). They serve you one cup of water so if youre not up for boozy brunch conserve your water, it seems as if they converted their parking lot tk serve people distanced and outside. Great set up, it was hot but the umbrella and breeze made it tolerable. The setup- you scan a qr code, order from your phone and it is delivered to your table like a to go order. It took about 40 minutes, again not optimal but the bacon makes it worth it!!!
My husband and I were supposed to be in St Croix for our anniversary but due to flight issues we were delayed a couple of days and had to stay in Fort Lauderdale. You can imagine our disappointment BUT this gem certainly cheered us up and made our lay over worth while. To start the scenery is absolutely stunning! Geraldine was our server and recommended the blueberry corn oven baked pancake which I had and was blown away at how rich and sweet it was. Hubby tried the 6 cannons omelet and a shrimp gruyere pancake and loved it! The OB Mocha and Caramel coffees were phenomenal! I live Atlanta and I am so very upset that we dont have oven baked pancakes anywhere! I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the order system and the aluminum containers but hello were in a pandemic still and if they deem it safer for their employees to just throw away your dishes and utensils than wash them then so what?! Needless to say I would go back to Fort Lauderdale just to eat there again!!
The atmosphere is always a pleasure and the food is good. This was not our first time there and wont be the last.
The service is excellent, even when youre waiting to be served you can order drinks. The food is really good, out of this world toast. You dont need to tip because waiters are paid better there and good service is built in. The white chocolate pancake wasnt as good as the first time we went but everything else was great.
NEW PROTOCOL: You have to place your order online to eat there. No one takes your order. Then, when they bring it to the table, they bring it in a basket and leave it there for you to pass around. When youre done, you have to pick up the table and put everything back in the basket. They still ask for tip and the prices are very high so it doesnt make sense. An average breakfast for one person is $30.00 and you dont even get a waiter. I liked the way it was before.
Its good but wayyyyyyyyyyyy too over priced for what it is. Not going back. Was not worth it in my opinion. Also you have to scan a barcode and do your own online order and check out. Im tech literate but i still found that annoying
One of the best places I have tried during this trip, and the best Ive got brunch in Fort Lauderdale. I had the Anchor breakfast with Mahie, and my company got Mashed out... Completely amazing the combination of flavours, I recommend them. The orange juice was on point! And the coffee with oat milk it was a different taste. great pleasure to eat here. Also try the chocolate muffin! Cheers to the service, very friendly.
This one is going to be painful because OB has been a favorite. They’ve recently made some changes- not all good. The wait is expected— great food = busy popular place. More seating was added outdoors = good move. We asked if we could order our fresh squeezed oj to aid during our 45 minute wait and we were told that we’d have to go online to order it 😳 sorry but I go out to eat so I won’t have to be plugged in.
Good menu, good food! Very interesting and creative menu and seriously give the baked pancakes a try...you wont be disappointed...like a really fluffy hot cake with intriguing fillings! Plenty of outside seating, and great service. Only giving 4 stars cause they are a bit pricey but the location is awesome in downtown Ft Laud across the street from the new river and performing arts center and next door to the museum! Great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday with a tasty breakfast or brunch and walk along the river.
Normally everything is always good however today the service was not. The food was good as usual.
Simply the best!!! Love everything about OB House! The quality, food, service, everything is top notch at OB House. Their high standards are shown everyday in their delicious food and impeccable service. This was the place I felt safe and comfortable during this unusual time we are in. They have created a beautiful courtyard for outdoor dining that we look forward to. From the fresh squeezed OJ to the most amazing pancakes and only the best fresh fish. You can’t leave without having the best coffee in town and oh so worth it cupcakes!!! :)
We’ve been coming for years. The place is intentionally slow, but the service is good, so plan for a longer breakfast. Everything is as fresh as possible and packed with flavor.
Horrible service, you have to pay before being served, without any use of a server, you get your food delivered in to go containers all of this so time consuming and unnecessary. Amazing food, sadly the pandemic has reduced the once magnificent Old Breakfast House into a McDonald’s, only more expensive. Recommendation: do not go there, there are better brunch places around, i will never go again. Garbage.
Locally sourced food. Great menu. Great food. Great outdoor dining. Well worth the wait and there usually is one! Best to go early and during the week!
I found myself feeling I’m back in the good old days, the atmosphere is great. Staff is friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and delicious. Some might think it’s pricey but your palate and tastebuds will thank you, It’s prepared the right way and from natural resources, none of that fake stuff. Try the “ pancake “ and paired with real maple syrup it’s amazing.
Would really recommend! I went with 2 friends, we were seated immediately, served promptly and all of our food was excellent. Luis, our server, was so friendly and informative about the menu. It felt like good European service, nothing like anything Ive experienced in Florida. I will certainly return 😊 I had the hash-something with sausage, potato, eggs and cheese
Rude staff and management. Inflexible in ability to modify dishes. Unaccomodating.
The food had great flavor. The service was great
The food was amazing, but the thing that made it the best was the customer service!
I have only had take-out so far but I’ve ordered about 10x in the last month since discovering. Best spot for brunch/breakfast I’ve found in Ft Lauderdale. Ingredients are fresh and relatively healthy. Namely, their pancakes and muffins are amazing with fresh fruit inside. I am also infatuated with the Individually Made Meatloaf and Eggs because why have I not eaten this every day my entire life? Ya know?
The owner had the best attitude, the food was perfect and we definitely come back. I totally recommend this place
The food was amazing. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. It completely exceeded my expectations. Our server Matt was the best! And their service is beyond covid compliant. With being able to order and pay thru the touch of a button on your phone, your server brings it all out in a basket. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.
This used to be such a nice place to eat but now just getting to the front to the place and they are not very welcoming. Not a friendly Hi or good morning. Bud hostess and restaurant employees service. We decided to leave to avoid more aggravation.
Served our food in to go boxes without letting us know in advance. We were disappointed. It defeats the purpose of dining in.
Great and tasty food !! But this place is card only they don’t take cash.
Weve been here before a few years ago and had a BEAUTIFUL time with absolutely ELECTRIC energy and great food. However, a few days ago, our experience was very different. Our server (if we can call him that) was just incredibly lackluster, unhelpful, & just overall drab. My friends who went with us, really were not impressed by the environment created by this server. We had better service from the hostess & buswoman. Food still great, but overall, we did not enjoy the experience.
Gritar placer! Very peaceful! And the food was amazing! The pancakes are are most!
Great food, Great service!!! Beautiful patio.
OB house is always great. A breakfast/brunch favorite of ours. Baked pancakes always fresh and hot. The server Matt is awesome.
Really disappointed with the new service! I don’t want to eat my $25 omelette off a paper plate! And coffee out of paper cups! No server, you do everything yourself like a fast food place The food was ok. So I give the food 2 stars. Everything else a 0. My last visit here. (This is NOT because of COVID-19). You guys can do better.
Food came out quickly, and the rest of the staff was nice.
We went to eat there before going to Discovery and Science Museum . The location is good, but there are many issues with this restaurant. Especially, they took longer to cook the foods. The server stated as you sat down that they made everything in-house. So the order might takes a little bit longer (at about 30 mins). Sorry, that shouldn’t be an excuse. That’s usually a management issue. If you prepare well, that shouldn’t happened. There are so many restaurants made everything in-house. They are not the only one! It took over 30 minutes to get our foods. Their foods were okay, but don’t go there if you are in a rush. There was one thing that really Stupid. You don’t have that many tables in the restaurant, but the management were using two tables to put their own stuffs on it. While there were people waiting outside to be seated. However, they used up two tables to put their own tablet, phone, and something else. That was also one of the Management Issue I am talking about! That means, Management doesn’t give a SH**T! If you cared, then those things should not happened. By the way, they are also expensive for a restaurant just do Breakfast and Brunch. The service was okay.Management is always the key of a business. Especially a restaurant! We will not be going back again, and we definitely will not recommended others. We will give it a 4.0 out of 10.
Amazing food. Never disappointed!
