Theyre always so nice. Theyre adorable and wont bs you. They dont scam people.
They were honest and fixed the ac in my work van. It kept blowing the fuse and Don and his shop were able to repair the wire harness. Happy customer here!!!
You will not find a better place for auto repair in this area.
Got my car fixed and happy with it. Good customer service made me feel at ease. Don and the staff I met was great.
Great professional service and they were quick getting my car dpne!!!!
We called this morning about my cars major electrical issues, they told us upfront they couldn’t do what we needed but the woman who answered the phone was very kind and referred us to another local shop without us even asking. When you get honesty and helpfulness in the first phone call you know it’s a well run business. Hopefully we won’t need them anytime soon but we will use them in the future.
As always a great place to do business with.
Best in wat they do
Don and the staff are super professionals and they made my Carmax warranty process go smoothly. They arranged everything including my car rental. Very grateful that I found them.
$75 scan + $20 shop fee = $95 for a transmission range switch scan. thats too expensive. + $295 to do the job. Im not made of money.
The guys here were excellent with communication. They answered all of my questions and called Everytime there was something that came up and even just to give me an update on time. They werent able to get a part the same day and even helped with getting a rental car approved through my warranty. This was my first visit but if I need additional services I will definitely come back.
Brought my 2011 Jaguar xjl there and they exceeded my expectations on every level. To say Rob is knowledgeable is an understatement. The pricing for the level of service and expertise was beyond fair. Even if I moved to California I would drive my car to Auto air and electric in Ft.Myers because it would be worth it. Highly recommended.
Awesome, helpful and honest
I had an electrical issue with my car that my mechanic couldnt fix. It was recommended that I try auto air and electric. I was greeted by Rob who was confident they could fix my car. Im glad I came here. The car is just fine. I would definitely recommend this place!!
Great work
Honest people.
I can not say enough good things about my experience here. After having an issue with my Infiniti, I took it to the dealership. After paying 220.00 to have it looked at they quoted me 1600.00 to fix it. I called Auto Air and took it in ant they confirmed what I needed but it would only cost $600.00. Infiniti wanted to match the price and fix it. Thanks but no thanks~ Don (owner) called me personally after looking at my car and explained in detail what needed to be done and why. He also told me the other things he was going to do that would be included in the estimate. He promised to have my car ready by the end of day and they delivered! My AC is so cold that I have to actually turn it up. Imagine that for Florida. Thank you for honest professional work. I would highly recommend them for all AC and electrical needs on ALL makes and models, even the new ones!
Don and his staff do honest, excellent work at a reasonable price.
Great service very patient staff
Overall great experience, they fixed my AC when others said they couldnt and they also repaired my wheel bearing that was causing a bad noise when I drove. Now my vehicle is like new!
For our money, the best garage in Fort Myers. Good work, honest & a pleasure to do business with. If you want an honest repair shop with quality work then this is the place.
2002 - 2007 GMC Sierra or Chevy equivalent air conditioning.Going to try and keep it short and save you thousands of dollars!SYMPTOM: You get a dead battery/new battery installed and now AC vents blow all wrong .. Blows heat out the front and cold out the defrost and just all mixed up. Call Auto Electric and Air Of Lee County Florida and explain the problem and get taken in FAST with a quick explanation that your AC actuators are messed up and worn out, after all its 12 years old... need to tear dash apart and replace the bad actuators ... AND while we are at it replace the good ones that might go bad.$1385.00 later ...Heres the problem, Auto Electric and Air Of Lee County Florida has to know that they only had to reset the HVAC system and all would go back to normal. Its a 5 minute procedure and they likely pretended to tear the truck apart and replace all 5 actuators.AND, if they didnt know, shame on them, its their business to know!Heres the fix .. works 100% of the time ... dont get ripped off!Just do this:There is NO relay in your 02-07 GMC or Silverado that controls where the air is blown out at. Your A/C system is controlled by a HVAC module. You have actuators in the HVAC housing that controls temperature and where the air is blown out at. When the battery was replace the HVAC module lost its memory. Simply open the hood and locate the fuse box. Should be on the driver side on the engine compartment. It will have a black cover on it. Remove the cover under the cover will list all the fuses. Find the one that says HVAC/ECAS.Turn your truck off and put the blower motor switch on 0 (blower motor off), temperature on cold, and the position on your face. Remove the fuse and wait for one minute. After 1 min. reinstall fuse and turn the key to the run position but do not start the truck. So basically the second click on the ignition. Once you do this you should hear the doors the HVAC module moving. Wait at least 3 min. After that time, turn the key off then start the engine. Everything should go back to normal
Nice job they did fixing my air on my work van. I would recommend this place to anyone
Don and Cathy are great. Did a great job recommend to anyone.
Figured out my electrical mystery car in the first day. Ended up taking my car back for unrelated issues after another mechanic was stumped and wanted me to pour money into it. Once again they figured out the issue in the first day and I got her fixed for a good price. Never going anywhere else ever again. Thank you!
I am from out of town and was referred here for electric issue with my truck. A couple hours later they were done. Great service and priceThank you very much!!
Couldnt ask for a better experience. Both the mechanic and the service clerk (they could be the owners... I didnt ask) were excellent. Anyway, I came to them after a real cluster at Galloway Ford. Auto Air & Electric treated me as a human with respect and explained issues in understandable detail. The work done was timely and priced fairly. I will be going back when needed.
Our first experience with Auto Air and Electric was back in 1998 when the AC in my wife’s Mercury Cougar failed. We had been recommended to them by Lee County Transmissions as honest, knowledgeable and fair. We took the car in and at the time they had given us a couple of options: One was to do a quick fix and one to do a much more thorough fix. We opted for the complete fix that basically rebuilt our compressor. When we got the car back we had the coldest air we had ever had and continued to enjoy the AC until we sold the car. Through the years we have continued to have all of our vehicles serviced by Don and his team from AC, brakes, wheel bearings, electrical, four wheel drive axles and the list goes on. They are honest, knowledgeable, helpful and fair and from what I have seen capable to fix any auto issue.
It took me over 10 years to find an honest and knowledgeable auto repair shop. Don Weiss is over 15 miles from my home but worth the trip every time. I had a leaky rack and pinion on a 04 Toyota convertible. It was over $900. Don thought replacing it would serve me best but he said I could try a stop leak additive for $25 and see what happens. Its been over 3 years and still no leak. I have total trust in Don and his shop.
The best mechanic place so far! Honest they dont steal your money happy with the work!
Don, Cathy and the staff are absolutely amazing! Auto air and electric are my new go to for all my car needs.
Don and his staff are excellent with customer service and quality. Recommend them highly and glad I found them.
Don was excellent. Truck fixed like it should be and the costs were more than fair. Thanks
Total rip off did not quote up front . Charged 200 to put in Freon Freon 4lbs. Charged 50 per pound install. Rob is his name because that is robbery then charged another 100 for blah blah actuslyy told me pens and paper and charged me another hundred to install a 10 switch, which was all that was wrong with it total rip off don’t do business there.
If you want an auto mechanic shop you can trust, will be honest, meticulous to details, and give you a fair price-then Don Weiss at Auto Air & Electric is where you should go!

I highly recommend Don and his team at Auto Air & Electric of Lee County. I came back to our winter place at the end of October 2021 after being away for 19 months because of COVID. Our SUV air conditioning was not working so I took it to a shop close to our place. They told me most of the refrigerant had leaked out. They said they dye-tested the system and the vehicle definitely had a leak in the evaporator as they could see dye coming from the evaporator drain tube and their “sniffer” could detect it in the air blowing from the vents. They quoted me $3,700 dollars to repair it.I wanted to get another opinion so I researched on the internet was impressed by the number of positive customer reviews for Auto Air & Electric so I made an appointment. Don’s team evaluated my vehicle and they did not detect a leak anywhere in the a/c system. Don said the time the car had sat without being driven might have led to the refrigerant leaking out but he did not want to repair anything until he knew exactly what needed repairing. He said the best thing to do would be to refill the refrigerant and add dye. This way if there was a leak now or at any time in the future it would clearly be visible and they would know where to repair it. Total price $229.I waited a week to write this review as I wanted to see what would happen. I am pleased to say that we have driven the vehicle every day, the air is still cold and I cannot see any dye on any of the air conditioner hoses, fittings, the compressor, or leaking from the evaporator drain tube.I was so impressed by Don’s honesty. I can see why they have so many positive reviews and I am pleased to add mine. When my vehicle next needs servicing for the a/c or anything else I will be driving the 30 minutes to Don’s shop as I truly appreciate dealing with a business I can trust.
A little difficult to see or identify but good service and fast, with many electrical elements for your business and generally good service
