I called about 6 mobile boat repair mechanics, 2 called me back, Joseph was the first. After a brief conversation, Joseph agreed to come over the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem (bad connections, should have known), thoroughly cleaned parts and replaced needed parts.During this process, Joseph was explaining what he was doing, and why he was doing it. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. The boat was back in operation in short order.After the service, I schedule with Joseph to do my yearly maintenance and install a trolling motor battery charger. I had sent an Email to the address that I saw on the ad, but did not get a response, so I called The phone number provided in the ad the following day, Mr Sierra explained that he is usually busy and hasn’t starting using the email account that his daughter set up for him. My call to Mr Sierra was at 2:25 on Friday Afternoon, he explained to me he had a job to do in Bonita Springs but it was too late in the day to go that distance, and he could come do my boat since we were close. He stopped and picked up the parts he thought he needed, got to my house at 3:36, he and his helper put their floating dock in the water and dropped my lower unit changed replaced my water pump, changed the lower end gear oil, changed the engine oil, did a tune up and were finished and leaving my house by 5:00 pm. I was amazed and very happy that they were able do my repair in such a short time and as quickly as they did. I highly recommend Mr Sierra to any one needing on site mobile maintenance for your boat needs.

Over Confident and Over PricedJoseph showed up and did a rushed diagnostic and determined my motor needed a fuel pump- cost of labor 500 bucks and 1200 for parts. He then left abruptly after collecting his service fee. He told me he’d come back and let me know what else was needed. However, a week passed and no response to my messages.Thankfully I got a second opinion today which determined that I needed a $23 fuel separator. 17 minute repair vs. a $1700 estimate. Easy decision yet nonetheless disappointing.

Joseph is a very responsive and great boat mechanic. I had him do the following:- Boat steering was very hard to turn and he fixed it- Forward/reverse shift throws were way too long and he fixed those- Fresh water pump was not working and he replaced it- Starboard engine needed tune up and he got it running much better(Yamaha 150 outboard)- Replaced radio and antenna- Fixed hatch cover in front berthThis was a total of about 3 days of work including getting the parts and troubleshooting. Very happy.I am new to boating and one of the best things about Joseph is that he wants you to see what he is doing and make sure you understand why he is doing it. He is very transparent and wants you to know what is going on. He also comes to your house and has done all the work so far while the boat is on my lift.I found Joseph after trying another mechanic and I think he is comparably priced and Ive had a much better experience and results with Joseph than the previous mechanic. I also had to trailer the boat to the previous mechanic, so Joseph is much more convenient.

Found Jose on a Google search and took a shot at giving him a call. It was after hours on a Thursday evening but I thought heck what do I have to lose, to my surprise Jose answered the phone. Engine stopped running and I discovered water in the fuel tank and clogged filters was the issue on my Yamaha SX200 OX66. Boat is trailered so he said I was welcome to bring the boat over to him ASAP and he would take a look at it. Very personable guy, he was on it that night, replaced filters, emptied and cleaned the fuel tank! Texted me videos as he progressed and called early the next morning that he was finished and the boat was ready for pick-up. Great work ethic! I would definitely recommend his services.... Joseph came in to do a 100 hour service on our twin yamahas 300. I was surprised with his special floating deck. He did all of the work at our lift. He gave us a free estimate. He had all the parts and they were very good prices. Everything was at a good price even the service. He also offered to wash our boat once a month and come in and turn it on for a very good price. Now, our boat is always super clean!

HE is an excellent mechanic. has worked on two of my boats in the past. I have never had a problem. He is timely, and reasonable. Not something easy to come by in this area. He services my engine as well as my hull and does a great job at a great price.

We have a Yamaha 300 HP HPDI which has been giving us trouble for a while. Joseph took the time to figure out what the problem was and now it is working! Troubleshooting took a while but the problem was found and fixed. We also had him compound and wax our Everglades and it looks like new. Reasonably priced and does great work. Highly recommend!

I would NOT recommend Joseph. Didnt come-forgot he went fishing. Couldnt remember what my request was for-Yamaha?-no Merc Engine--Said a oil switch-sending unit tells engine to shut down--a certified Merc Crusier mechanic said no-that switch cant talk to the engine-directed me to a parts store that didnt know how to get a part-nit picks prices for a small task
