We purchased replacement windows for condo built in 1979 with what appeared to be original windows.We decided to enlarge the opening for the picture window and include sliding side side units. This required precise measurements of the potential new opening along with coordination with the carpentry. The installation of the windows was seamless. The windows are incredible!! The fit and finish is the talk of the complex. You can literally stand at the windows during peak sunlight and feel no heat coming from the windows. The insulation and UV protection is amazing. Thank you EAS for manufacturing the Big Bertha window and thank you to Storm Smart Window and Door for such a wonderful installation. We couldn’t be happier.

I purchased whole house windows and doors thru Lowes and after a year and half get leaks with the sliding glass doors. Lowes says 1 year warranty and wont come out. EAS says its a installation problem and wont come out either. So a 60K whole house that now leaks and no response from either Lowes or EAS.Dont make the mistake of buying windows from EAS or Lowes.

The windows are nice and it stops there. The service is not so great. We have been dealing with issues for more than a year. Most of our windows have failed and had to be replaced. One tech replaced a window that was too big and he forced it shut. We opened it later and couldnt get it closed and had to wait to have it replaced. This last time they were here to replace they broke one window and we have been waiting to have it replaced. I have had to take time off (my vacation time) to wait for them to come and do the work and it has added up. I had an appointment for today to have the last window replaced and I sent an email this morning to confirm and get a time frame and was told that they are short a technician and have to reschedule for later in the week (which is code for they didnt have me on the schedule). Nobody from the company bothered to call or email me to let me know that my appointment has been cancelled. How is that for customer service?

I purchased 22 Eastern Architectural Systems Bertha windows and 3 sliding glass doors (8000 series) using who I believe is Easterns largest authorized dealer in the Ft. Myers area thinking I was supporting a local company and manufacture. The contract was signed February of 2020 and one year later, were down to one remaining open item being they need the trim to cover the screws on one of the sliding glass doors. Ive been told that Easterns service department is so back logged, had so much turnover, they are on shut down and that Easterns operator answering the phone will not even transfer the dealers calls to the service department. If the largest representative in the area is unable to obtain a missing piece of trim, or even get through to the service department via phone, well you decide if you want to use them. I plan to update this posting as soon as the job is completed. Update in March 2021, which is 13 months after placing order and 7 months after missing piece identified, the missing pieces were installed.

Awesome windows and doors. Our house is completely different inside and out. The contractor that we used did such a great job we did not have to touch up paint in a single room inside or outside. I recently had Bertha series windows installed in my home by Lowes. I am part of a generation that used to be able to take someones word as gospel. Here in Florida however I have a hard time with that. That being said, This was an out standing experience from presentation to install. We are truly amazed by the quality of the windows. Our home has never felt so secure. The sound reduction was also a nice added bonus as well as not being able to feel the heat of the sun in our family room any more. Product was good. Ordered different handles and different rollers than it came with.They charged me the extra $250, upon receiving as they are all wrapped up and bundled I signed after counting the amount of product, well since I signed they said I would have to pay for the upgrades I wanted, they wouldnt knowIf I was trying to get over in them. After spending 22k, they wanted there couple hundred......Pgt is a better product as I have worked with them both.

Every one of the windows installed in my home have an issue with the seals coming apart between the glass. These windows are about a year and a few months old. I have yet to hear or see anyone from the company. No one has made an appointment with me to come to my home. This was reported long before Christmas 2018. Eastern do you even care?

Great place friendly staff fast unload

STAY AWAY FROM THEIR WINDOWS . My wife and i went to Lowes to have entire windows replaced in our home four years ago with hurricane impact. It was a very expensive project but didnt mind paying the price for windows that we thought would be trouble free for at least 7 to 10 years. Lowes sub contracted EAS for the job. One month after installation, one of the window had a huge crack on it, they came out and replaced it very quick. Now four years later, 12 out of the 14 windows they replaced malfunctioned. Some weak plastic piece that guide the windows on the track were either cracked or broken completely. I contacted EAS as per Lowes and the company sent me parts to replace all the plastic pieces. After they were changed, some of the windows still couldnt slide properly. I contacted EAS again and they told me that another part, the plastic sash roller assembly, are most likely bad and they wanted to charge me $300 just to have a tech come out and evaluate their cheap and defective products, after spending close to 15k for these windows 4 years ago. I am very disappointed the windows only lasted a few years before they started having problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WINDOWS COMPANY, their warranties only cover a couple years and youll end with bad windows after a few years or once the warranty expires. Im planning on sending a letter to Lowes corporate office about my experience with this company.

I am so sorry I ever bought these windows! I even payed extra for a coastal package and everything is rusting and falling apart! After running around and avoiding me for over a year, sending out a technician to replace some hardware, their solution was to send me a bag of screws! They do not care! I am a single working, widowed Mom and they robbed me of my money and now my new windows are falling apart! This place should not be allowed to do this. I am reporting them to the BBB and anyone else who will listen!
