They had some hard to find screws I couldnt find at the traditional places (TSC, home depot, Northern, etc). Not that the other places are bad, Tropical deserves credit for making the investment stocking difficult to find inventory (see picture). Well done.

Just relocated my Shop/Studio near downtown Fort Myers. I was concerned about the distance I would travel to a Home Depot or Lowes as often as I need hardware or material. I remembered Tropical Hardware, having driven by for years past the old Rainbow Records and Music city, that suddenly was a hardware store.Thought I should check it out.Hell yes! This place is the bomb! Fantastic selection of fasteners, adhesives, gate hardware, even bird food! All of which I needed that day.The staff is super helpful and friendly.This is my new favorite trip to the store.

This store has been my go-to place for the last 2 + years. For a small store, it is well stocked, and they will order things for you if you can wait.It doesnt pay to go to the big box stores when they are just around the corner.....and the Home Depots of the world are not always cheaper.... I have found many items of the same or BETTER quality at Tropical at a lower price.The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, capable, and helpful.This is a great family owned and run local business.

Great selection of hard to find items and fasteners as well as a superbly friendly staff!Prices may be a little better on some items elsewhere but you wont get the same level of service.Support your small local hardware stores as much as possible, so that when you really need something you dont have to rely on the blue or orange disaster or wait forever for it to show up. (and because its the right thing to do. 😁)

You cant find that little screw, you need some advice on how to put something together, you need a piece of plastic cut to size for your table?? Tropical hardware has it and they also have the best service ever. And if they dont have it or cant do it they will give advice where to go. And they are pleasant and friendly and it doesnt get much better than that. Margo

I have been going to tropical hardware for a long time. I always felt it was worth paying a little more due to the great personal service you get. It feels like the new owners are moving in a different direction. Its to bad because without that I will be making the trip to home Depot more often.

This place is where I go when I need any hardware for my home. They are well stocked. The service is great and they make screens and a lot of other things I cant find anywhere else.

Tropical Hardware is a terrific hardware store with exceptional customer service. The owners and staff are extremely knowledgable and always go out of their way to assist me and make sure I get the right tools for whatever project is on my list. They generously share tips on how to complete a project, too! I shop here for everything from tools, lumber, and pvc pipe to school project supplies. If they dont have what I need, they order it for me. They also have a good selection of pocket- knives. Tropical Hardware is a great shopping experience, and an excellent reason to stay out of the big-box stores!
