Quality doors and installation. Warranty sub par. One of our 3 doors we had installed had a circuit board failure 3months after the 1 year warranty expired. Not happy at all. Too bad as I would have liked to recommend them to clients and used them for our many upcoming projects.UPDATE: The company stood behind their product and did not charge me for the part or service call. They came out sometime this year and did some work on my Garage door. The Gentleman also reprogrammed my Keyless door pad. I had family coming down yesterday for my Mothers Funeral,so i gave them my code to get in. Needless to say it didnt work. I should of tried to use it myself before hand. Both him and his colleague were very polite and friendly, and took the time to show us that everything was working fine once they had completed the job and explained how to program the remote control and connect them to our vehicles. I was extremely pleased with the competency and communication skills of Chris. Not only did he fix an alignment problem of the safety switch, he also showed me how to do it. Chris also suggested new torsion springs be installed. I was very skeptical but he patiently explained and demonstrated the need for the replacement. He did not use pressure tactics. My springs were almost 20 years old and the garage door has functioned much better since they were replaced. Service of Precision Overhead Garage Doors was far superior to companies I’ve previously used. I have no connection POGD and received no compensation for this review.

They did a great job from start to finish, from the estimate to the install. All very professional and we love the new garage door. The young man who installed it is named Charles and he let my 5 year old son, also named Charles, sit in a chair in the front yard and watch him work for over an hour. It was a class act that we will never forget. My son now wants to grow up and have the same job that big Charles has.

At first I choose Precision because they were local, after the great service Im glad I did. Their serviceman Mark was thorough and professional, he inspected all the parts of the door, then he replaced all the rollers, cables, and both springs, even though only one was broken, they come in a pair, he also lubricated all moving parts and adjusted the drive chain, all repairs were completed in about 2 hours and works great. The tech that came for our appointment was very polite and worked quickly. Communication with the office was professional. What I did take issue with was the apparent bait and switch they pulled between what I was quoted on the phone and the price quoted upon arrival. When I called to book an appointment, I explained exactly what part of the door was broken, the main spring above the door itself. I was quoted, $90 to $215 or something very close to that. When the tech arrived, he quoted me $400+ for a 10,000 cycle spring with a 90 day warrantee, or $525 for a 40,000 cycle spring with a 7 year warrantee. Wheres the $90-$215 spring?!? He then told me that there are other springs in the opener system and that that was what the appointment setter was quoting me. Convenient miscommunication (scam)...

Great product and company!!!Our old cheap opener finally died with the garage in the open position. The next morning, Precision was able to have a technician at the house to install a completely new, and much better, unit in less than an hour. Very reasonable price as well!!

The technician was early and experienced and do the job quickly. I needed the belts replaced in both garage door openers. A relatively simple operation that took about 30 minutes. I was charged $500.00!!! I had no choice but to pay. This is an outrageous price in my opinion. I could see maybe $300 for the visit, technicians time and expertise and the two belts but I feel I got a markup because we are in a golf community.

Yesterday, my 20 year old garage door open finally gave up. I called the company that originally installed it, but they couldn’t send anyone until next week. Checked online and found Precision. They had a Google endorsement so gave them a call. They were able to send a repairman first thing this morning, and they provided his name and a photo so I’d know he was legit. Lee showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He told me the cost to repair and also gave me prices for replacement options. There was no pressure to select one option over the other, and he was very patient answering all of my questions and provided full explanations. I checked with a friend and online, their prices were fair. Went with the replacement and glad I did. My experience so far has been very positive and would recommend them to others.

Quick same day response to my broken garage door. Technician called in advance if his arrival and was very professional in his actions. I would have had to go to hospital if I had to do his job, very labor intensive. Through this difficult job the tech remained courteous and friendly answering my questions. He quoted me a price that was literally hundreds of dollars less than what I was expecting. He even informed me that they were running a special and he was going to waive the $49.00 service fee since I hired them to make the repair. He replaced both cables, inspected every bit of hardware, fully lubricated all the springs, hinges and rollers and made any needed adjustments. I was so pleased with the service and pricing that I went ahead and payed to have the seal along the bottom of the door replaced also. First of all, my garage door opener would work SOMETIMES and sometimes not. It would take upwards of 4-5 times to get the door down. I called and made an appointment (very professional) and Matt come out Wednesday. My son was home and the tech said I needed a new door spring and pulley wheels. $475.00 later it was doing the same thing. Called them again very upset and they sent out another tech named Jason. Again my son put him on speaker and he tells me it needs a circuit board. With his monotone voice says you probably won’t be able to get a circuit board for it and a new garage door opener would be around $500.00. I called again and Jason the GM called and said they would send out a very seasoned tech I believe by the name of Doug??Jason (the GM) also said if he couldn’t fix it they would install one at cost ($350.00) After telling Jason I never needed the $475.00 spring and other parts, he asked me if I could pick up the door by myself. Of course I could do it with one hand which tells me there was nothing wrong with the spring. I don’t believe the cost for an opener to them is $350.00 being in the service business myself. You can’t sell an opener for $500.00 with a cost of $350.00 and pay someone 2 hours to install it. I know better than that. They took advantage of me and assure you this isn’t the first time for others. I do commend the company on all other aspects but fault both technicians for a misdiagnosis and especially Mr Bad Attitude Jason (not the GM) as my son said he was rolling his eyes while talking to me on the phone. He also walked out without putting the opener back together which is very unprofessional. He was upset because I just didn’t except him installing a new opener. I will go to Home Depot and get a Chamberland opener for 250.00 and install it myself. Done it before and will do it again. Should have done that first and saved myself $475.00 and the aggravation,

I was fortunate to have Joseph (K) come to fix my broken coil for my 2-car garage door. Based on his recommendation and price differentials, I went with replacing BOTH coils with the 40,000 cycles, 7-Year warranty coils. He not only replaced the coil, but also lubed everything, checked the door-stop settings to make sure everything is operating well.On a personal basis, I found Joseph to be a very well trained, experienced technician, and a very pleasant person to work with.I recommend Joseph and Precision Garage Door highly.

I am pleased with the service provided by Jay. He installed a new opener and keypad which I purchased separately at a big box store. I thought I would do my own install but decided to hire a professional after assessing the difficulty I might encounter. The install price was clearly indicated after Jay inspected the equipment. I admit it. I first called the company that serviced my garage door last year, but they were not able to schedule me for two full days. They provided no emergency service. Realize, the mechanism that allows the door to operate had detached; there was no way for me to get my car out of the garage and out to an appointment the following afternoon.I called Precision and was offered an appointment later in the evening but opted, instead, for an appointment the next morning.Mark arrived at the scheduled time and explained precisely what was needed to make the repair; moreover, he showed me how to maintain all the moving parts and gave me the lubricant that should be used. I was very pleased that with these new parts, my garage door is now operating quietly. Most important, I have no fear of the door being dropped on me.

Not too long ago we noticed our garage door was making odd noises so when we saw a Precision Overhead Garage door decal on our door (we bought the house a couple of years ago) we decided to give them a call. They made an appointment right away! The 2 young gentlemen were courteous and super efficient. One was actually in training & both identified the major problems immediately but not before using their sophisticated check-up system. Among many other deficiencies the cables were very frayed which we had never noticed. They gave us several options which showed the necessary work to be done & suggested work to be performed. Once we all agreed on what they needed to do to fix the door they went right to work replacing the cables etc. These fellows were so polite & knowledgeable about their business that we decided to have them do all the necessary work needed to be done to make our door strong again.
