I brought my 9000 BTU marine AC unit back to them and before I finished filling out the repair paperwork they had it diagnosed. They said they could fix it that day! I went to lunch and it was finished before I got back. They even repainted it and it looked like a brand new unit. Outstanding customer service, super clean workplace, and everyone there smiles. I highly recommend Mermaid for any marine AC requirements.

We bought an air conditioner, when we received it is was not working. They said it got damaged in shipping. They sent us a return label and we shipped it back, they repaired it quickly and sent it back right away. Superior customer service, they are great to deal with.The only bad thing I can say is for the love of life stop using Fedex, every shipment was delayed. Fedex is the most single worse company in the world. Please start using UPS.

In November of 1999, I purchased a Mermaid Marine air Conditioner model M-16CHP with reverse cycle heat for my Hunter 340. I installed it myself using the great instructions supplied by Mermaid. Except for a failure of the original seawater pump it has been working flawlessly for all these 20 years. The folks at Mermaid were very helpful on the phone answering my questions and concerns. It is far better built and better quality than many of the other brands I considered. Thanks!!

They laughed at me when I asked for a refund for a device that didnt work as advertised. Then they said they would fix under warranty and never returned it. Rude, arrogant, and generally obnoxious.

We have installed two Mermaid Marine air conditioners on our boat. We did both installations ourselves and the jobs were made easier because the units were well built and their installation instructions were straightforward.When we had problems with their cooling water pumps they replaced them with better pumps. Note: They now furnish the better pumps with all units.Thats just the kind of first rate response we have come to expect from Mermaid.Bill Mueller

We replaced our Marvair unit, on our Hunter 45cc, with a Mermaid, in 2014, as Dometic had bought Marvair and discontinued their production. We picked up the unit at their factory and it was a plop n drop installation. The Mermaid unit greatly outperforms the old Marvair. Since our Mermaid was installed, boating life has been very good. :-)

When you call support you immediately get a qualified tech on the phone. We took our marine A/cs in for service and they could not have been more fair or accomodating. If you are considering marine AC go with Mermaid you wont regret it. They dont cut corners and use stainless in all of the right placvs as opposed to other manufactiurers. After more than 10 years the unit operate well and parts are available at reasonable costs. The 24V transformer failed.
