Shout out to Carol at the Ft. Smith store. This lady is so helpful. She has helped us almost every time we go in. She knew what she is talking about when we had questions about plumbing. She climbed on machines to get things up high for us. Always made sure she followed the safety precautions. She is a hard worker!

I have been very pleased with my experiences at this Home Depot as I’m completing a home remodel project therefore I’m in the local Home Depot store (Fort Smith, AR) seems like everyday or every other day.  I knew the former assistant manager by his first name and he always greeted and/or assisted me when I came into the store.  So I went through self check out (the only way to complete a sales transaction) and the store associate (Reed) stands right by me as I complete my transaction—he provides no greeting or offer to assist.  I purchase over $350 of merchandise and when my transaction was complete, I’m preparing to walk out the store and Reed ask to see my receipt.  Really?  Why?  He stood there and watched me check out the items (and offered no assistance)…The other customers were not asked to see their receipt.  Why am I special?  Cause I was wearing raggedy clothes?  Perhaps the paint stains were signs of a thief? Maybe because I’m a black woman purchasing items to improve my home? I will be returning all the (possible) items I purchased that day and previous days….  if Home Depot will allow employees to arbitrarily select (profile) it’s customers to verify proof of purchase—they do not deserve my business.

NOTHING WORSE THAN RECEIVING A RUDE/HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. FORT SMITH STORE - EMPLOYEE NAME: GEORGE AT RETURN AREA.I have been very pleased with my experiences at this Home Depot until I met George at Return area. Bought 2 items, they are the same item just different colors, of course I know the barcode is different, I used self-check out, couldnt scan of them, the self-check out personnel help me but she couldnt scan or hand key the item either, she ended up scan one item twice, I was afraid of if I need to return them in case and she said thats okay as long as they are the same price.2 days later, came for a return, this guy, George (ball head), couldnt scan one of them but saw 2 identical items on his screen, I tried to explain, he thought I lie to him, he just rudely responded with his mad face, its okay, whatever and rapidly gave me all the receipts. Although return is accepted but I was totally disappointed and felt someone disrespect me, rude to me. Its not my fault at all from the beginning. Why George couldnt happily explain it to me instead so both can be happy??I didnt bother to talk to his manager but I thought about that.THIS REVIEW IS FOR YOUR AWARENESS IF YOU MEET GEORGE.

Slow service. lines backed up. prepare to wait and wait some more

Had a pretty good experience. The issue I had was them only having one register open and there was a pretty big line. The other problem was kinda on me. I bought 150 ft of lateral line to get home and realize they dont slide together like most of the perforated lines. Nope, these you have to I guess buy joint/collars for. Normally a good store overall though. They might had just been short handed the day I went.

They didnt have what I needed but they sure worked hard to help me. The lady at the front was awesome and Vernon was just great. What a helpful attitude everyone had.

I just recently place an order on line and picked up at the store. The order was ready when I arrived. I was in and out within a few minutes. Also the customer service is much better than Lowes.

Didnt have what I needed in stock but computer said they did. Still very helpful and friendly.

3 stars because the online store info is out of whack with store in stock quantities. I finally found someone that was willing to help after asking 3 people. The man that helped me was knowledgeable and did make the comment that they are moving certain things quite randomly, but at least I got what I needed.

I cant speak for the company as a whole but my local store is awesome! Theyve been professional all the way. They are a little shifty on delivery times. Its not a real big deal and I understand there are supply issues.

Walked into Home Depot tonight to purchase paint. I had to ask twice for someone to be called to the paint area. They called the first time and no one came so I had to ask again. Of course someone finally came but he didnt know anything about paint. What in the world is wrong with this store. You have people shopping and not ENOUGH people to cover your departments. Lowes going to get your business!!

Chris in Garden Center was very helpful and knowledgeable about many different departments. He was willing to take the time to answer my questions, look online and help me find a replacement for an item they were out of, in another department.

Heaven forbid you need to find someone to help you at this store. I needed to buy a power tool and couldnt find an associate to help. The man at the paint counter called someone twice for me but they never showed up.

Staff is willing to help you locate items quickly. Self checkout is ok.

My favorite place to shop, even though there werent enough people to help the last time I was there. I am handicapped and had to wait more than 30 minutes to get help getting some of the merchandise I needed and help to the car. The employees were very nice, there just wasnt enough of them that day.

No complaints. Store is always clean, everyone has always been nice to us. If they dont have what we need they can get it quickly.

Called Home Depot to speak with someone about a Microwave. After being on the phone for over 20 minutes and talking to 4 different people, and not getting a clear answer as to what they have in stock and correct prices, we were hung up on. Called back to try again and after 8 minutes and 34 seconds of being on hold, we were hung up on AGAIN!!! Completely unprofessional and disappointed in customer service..

Quick and easy to find supplies for home improvement projects.

Being a homeowner and not a contractor, I tend to like Lowes better. Home Depot just doesnt seem to have the same variety of things Im interested in. Otherwise, I was clean, not very crowded, the staff didnt seem too busy, but nobody asked me if I needed any help finding anything.

So we ordered a new stove from Home Depot a few months ago and was extremely happy with the whole experience . We found ourselves needing a new washer and dryer set so who better to shop with ? The wife looked on line and found what she wanted and the web site said it was in stock at the Ft Smith store . Awesome !!! We hook a trailer up and drive the HOUR to the store . You guessed it they don’t have it but can order it . Your web site said you had it in stock ! If I wanted to order it On-line I could have stayed home .....which I did, from my couch . The only reason you get 3 stars is because I had such a great experience last time .

Good for fixing your house up lots of wood and basically you can build a house with everything they have every time I need to fix my house I go to The Home Depot because I trust them to have the quality I expected to fix my house

People there are very friendly The other day i was in garden department and there was a young man that it was his first day. He was very nice and had a great attitude. I like that when i go somewhere. His name im pretty sure was Nicholas. Very nice young man.

Great place. Only issue I have is they do not help you load heavy things you have to ask for help. Even elderly people have to ask. When you purchase things from a store like this, you shouldnt need to ask for help loading things.

Bought a cub cadet z turn mower yesterday and the young man that helped us was great. He was very pleasant and informative. Now we get to customer service to checkout. The young lady that helped us there was very rude. Every question we asked was met with a smart remark. We spend alot of money with home depot and like shopping there, but, next time we may take a look at lowes!!!!

Took me 45 minutes to buy a cabinet because I had to spend 30 minutes just getting someone to get the item from a rack 20 feet up.I asked for help and a guy used the walkie talkie to relay my question, nobody showed up for 10 minutes. I called the store, from inside the store, and after being transfered twice I asked for help and nobody showed up... Then I trier to use the lift and get it myself but it wouldnt move! 😆Finally I asked another guy walking by and he said the lift was broken and always sat there.. He eventually came back with a lift and got my cabinet down. Much thanks to that guy, at least.This is why I stick to the locally owned hardware stores when possible.

This is a poor business to work for they don’t care about any of there younger employees there are grown men that work there preying on minors that work there part time(jefferey mcgaugh). If you care about your kids don’t send them here to work

Worst home depot I have ever been to. The employees did not even know how to setup a will call. I went there to get materials to build a fence for my new home and a employee sighed and started complaining about how much I was buying. That will be the last time I shop there, and since there is not another home depot it will be Lowes for now on.

Bought blinds for our entire house, and had the best employee help us out. I cant remember his name, but we visited with him while he cut all of our blinds. He was super helpful and truly made buying blinds a better experience for us. Plus, Home Depot had a better selection than other home improvement stores.

Theyve had everything Ive looked for so far. The staff is helpful and the price isnt bad.

My son went in there got a 3000 dollar mower and they couldnt give him a Military discount. I know the discount was up to 500 dollars but they still give him the 50 dollar off.

They were super busy and we still had a great experience. Helpful associates and they found everything we needed.

They currently only have one type of compost here. Good other then that.

Bad service, i need hose for plumbing the guy helping me dont have tape measure he try to used his shoe then van not find anything to cut it after that dont have anything to write t down.

I usually go to Lowes because Home Depot never had what I needed. Easter Sunday Lowes was closed and cudos to them for closing for their staff and for Easter. I would not have been shopping had I not had an emergency leak and went looking for a piece of pipe. Home Depot has no doubt stepped up their game with product and customer service.

You can wait a long time to find someone to help. They need buzzers or something on each aisle that you can ring when you need assistance. Once I was able to contact a worker, they were good at leading me to the correct aisle and helping me locate the item I needed. Cashier was very friendly and helpful.

They seem to have a great idea about how to operate a home center @ this store! We were asked several times if we needed assistance, and the selection is pretty amazing.

Just cant get a good steak there anymore service was ok. Very short staffed and takes a while to get your food. Not going back.

I went to the paint department to choose paint. There were two employees at the paint counter. After selecting the paint and other supplies I approached the paint counter and there was no one there. I waited for a while then walked the aisles looking for an employee with no success. I asked an employee at the checkouts that appeared to be monitoring the activity there and asked about the employees in the paint department, he paged for someone to assist. After several minutes I asked a passing employee that stated he would find someone. After a few minutes I asked the employee at the scanners if anyone worked in the paint department. He paged again. I had been texting my wife and she called the store stating I had been waiting for several minutes and asked if someone would assist me. An employee arrived and shook the paint I had chosen. Extremely poor customer service! A couple waiting after me said they hated this store because it was that way all the time.

The employees are very friendly and they definitely will help you find and get what you need, and they will even search their website to find what you want. Thank you
