LOVE Once Upon A Child!! I love to buy secondhand and boy do they show up! My absolute favorite part is selling clothes we no longer use or need. They take SO much of my items and provide fair return. They also give you a percentage off if you use the earned money on items from the store right then!My last trip there I found the perfect costume for my 7 year old for $8.50! It was like new! My other favorite was a super warm North Face coat in like new condition for my 7 year old for $25! It was exactly what I was hoping for!I will also add that compared to Kid to Kid, Once Upon A Child is sooo much better to sell AND buy from. The prices are so low and the return on selling is awesome.

Very nice young lady went out of her way to explain what the toy items on top of the racks were meant for and for what ages. I’m a bit older and haven’t had little ones running around for quite some time. I felt bad I know she was very busy but she did not complain and was very helpful and patient, she pulled down multiple items for me to see. What a nice little store! Very organized and clean. Wish I remembered her name she mentioned leaving a review of my experience and she was a big part of that. I’ll be giving 5 stars

Alyssa is always very helpful at this store! She knows the store all around and is great when I come in with my son. If she isnt running the store yet, she should be!

Love the store but some things are over priced. They had a shirt that was priced for $2 at Walmart there for $4.50. Some outfits are a little over priced but then you have some that are high end brands for about the same price $4.50 if u bought them from the actual maker like Nike or Adidas they would be $20-$30. So it kinda just depends.

I want to say thank you to Abby, Alyssa very nice and professional. I want to share a experience I had, I went to Kid to Kid to sell items. I returned to the store to finalize my sell, when I came back I was offered 94 dollars. I decided not to accept the offer, and I was treated very rude! I went to OUAC and took in the exact same clothes and I was offered 157 dollars!! Big difference and I wasn’t treated rudely! I want to say this is a great place with good prices and people!

Great little store. My wife and I constantly come in to exchange our kids clothing they outgrown for different sizes. Reality organized, clean, and easy to find items. Place really is amazing for parents who cant keep buying brand new clothes constantly.

Once upon a child is a great place to shop! They buy your clothes/toys and they have the best deals on kids clothes that barely look like they’ve been worn. 100% recommend. Today Tiffany was very helpful while I was in the store😊

This place has so much more than I ever expected them to! The store is definitely larger than it appears from the outside, with nearly everything you can imagine needing/wanting for your little ones. I went in during one of their percentage off sales and came out with multiple pairs of summer sandals and swim suits for 3 of my girls, all cute, all cheap, and all like new! be The store was clean, fairly well organized and the girls working there are super friendly and helpful. Wellb returning frequently!

I love this place! They have great prices for name brand clothes and shoes. I also love that once my son grows out of a size I can take the clothes back and get money to apply to my next purchase or I can just get cash back! Great service as well!

Just went in today to do some shopping for my first little one on the way, while I was looking through the aisles a young man (shaved head, grey clothing) was aggressively shocking the clothing as well as kicking around a step stool. When I excused myself to pass him he huffed at me and kicked the stool again out of the way. The whole time he seemed angered that I was looking through “his area”. Not very impressed...

I received a text from this store saying that they were buying spring clothes so I drove an hour to see a sign on the door stating that they were only giving store credit at that time. Would it have been nice to know ahead of time in that text yes but I didn’t get upset. What upset me was how disrespectful and rude the gentleman working was to me when I simply said I drove an hour and I see your sign, before I could finish my sentence he said yeah with an annoyed tone. I continued with what I was trying to say which was do you know if there is another once upon a child around here? Wow apparently that was a bad question as he replied with attitude and again annoyed tone that he doesn’t know they are the only one in that county. My family has always used this store and with the arrogance of this man I will not step foot back in that store. He is not above anybody and like I said I didn’t get upset about only giving store credit because I know it’s not his fault but I could’ve come in very upset but I didn’t I was calm and asked a question.I drove to Lima, OH and will make this our new store to buy and sell to. They were very polite and their store was very clean, organized, and well stocked.

After asking a million questions and interrupting the employees while they were working, we still received amazing Customer Service! We took 7 in garbage bags of clothes that did not fit anymore to be exchanged, it took them est. 40 minutes. The prices are good for being name brand and gently use, the clearance items $1, and amount received for the clothes...no complaints. The bathroom is clean and accessible (with changing station), organized well, and a waiting area. We were impressed! 👍👍

Management was able to correct cashier mistake and handled the situation professionally after a few days. Wish they had more 4T boys jeans in stock, will check back later.

This place is great. Reused items for cheap, mostly organized. Patience is needed though, there tends to be lines at checkout and they often have new staff. Other than that its a great place. Definitely a go to for clothes for babies, most outfits look new. Why spend $25 on a onesie when they sell them for $1? Its probably only been worn a few times.

Tiffany and Alyssa were amazing at helping me find things for my boys. They were very friendly, caring, and more than willing to assist me in getting a decent selection of name brand clothing. Keep up the great job ladies.

I think this store has improved a lot in its organization and cleanliness. And the selection is pretty awesome. However, the staff is less than friendly, they seem put out by the clients and their children. I am glad to see some more consignment options pop up in the Fort Wayne area that provide better incentives for their clients. I hope that this competition motivates the Once Upon a Child staff to step it up on their customer relation skills.

The night staff was very friendly. It was my first time at once upon a child and everything went smooth, Tiffany even convinced me to take my things I paid double the price for at carters! Shame 👎. This place is amazing!

Great clothes for an unbeatable price. I cant go anywhere else to get items at these prices. My son who has majory sensory issues this and this store has been such a blessing. Here we are able to find the compression clothing for a fraction of the price and we have also been able to find many other toys and equipment that are the perfect fit for his special needs. My daughter loves all the cute things we find.

Great store, prices are a little high for used clothing. Every now and then you can find something nice.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They took almost 2 hours of our time for one plastic container of clothes and a rock and play. They quoted as 30 min upon arrival, almost 2 hours later we left with our stuff that they just began looking at. When asked about how much longer it would be they said 25-30 min, same as upon arrival. Do not recommend unless you just want to waste hours and hours of time. Thanks, but no thanks. Will never go there again.

Everytime I come in here, I am greeted with genuine friendliness. It is my experience that the staff here is more caring and knowledgable than its competitors in the area.I am made aware of the sales, they are super patient with my sons (2yo and 4yo) when I bring them with me, and when I bring clothes to sell, they always tell me why they didnt take some of my items (this consistency is not the case for a specific competitor I have been to). Their staff has even encouraged me to wash/stain treat some of my stained but stylish items that they may still take at a later time. I have felt honestly cared for and welcome by the incredible people here. I will forever continue to give Once Upon a Child in Fort Wayne my business and I urge others to do the same!

Wonderful clothing options at great prices. Clean. Friendly service. Always good coupons or deals. Cons: smaller aisles, Ive come across quite a bit of stains on clothing. My favorite secondhand childs clothing store by far.

Very particular on what they take. Also pricey. Ive seen several items brand new at stores and seen it at once upon a child for literally only 6 bucks cheaper. They often only sell at decent prices to their frequent flyers My friends mom is goes a lot and I was with her when she went in and sold the same item I did and mine was new and hers wasnt and she got five more than I did . All around not where id choose to shop or sell too anymore as I dont. My friends mom doesnt either after I proved to her they dont do business right.

I like the store. There are times when some of my stuff is rejected and Im not sure why. I go to the place because it is convenient to sell stuff and then turn around and buy my son more things. I think people who have a problem with it just think their stuff is worth more but they have to realize its a business these people need to make money too...So I really like it..I bought my son a lot of school clothes there and it was almost brand new items..

I needed a suit for my 9 yr old son... they were extremely helpful on the phone and held 2 suits for me to choose from... when I arrived they were prompt and kind with us. The suits were in perfect condition and only cost $5. Perfect!

They give a bad deal on things you sell to them. They will jack the price up on what you do sell. They will clam items you just got from them are to warn to buy from you even if the tag is still on it and your child has not warn it. They are very picky even on items that are as nice as what they have. Someone bought our double stroller that belonged to us outside of the store when this store rejected it. I feel good knowing I donated my kids clothing to charity rather then this waste of a time.

Staff is very rude when you ask for assistance. I wanted help finding something in store because I have vision problems and I cannot see very well. I went up to the counter several times and failed to get the attention of staff who was too busy gossiping or texting. Once I got their attention they told me it wasnt their job to help customers on selling floor. I then asked if I could give my store credit to a friend because I couldnt find what i was looking for and I have MS and my vision was going out. The lady at the counter yelled loud enough for the entire store to here that i had this disorder and asked her co-worker if that was allowed. The co-worker laughed and said she couldnt stop me and it expires in a year so maybe I can come back when I feel better. I explained that I wouldnt be back. The way this store treats the disabled community is disappointing.

My wife loves this place and the staff all I ever hear are good things we have 8 children of our own and have taken in our 4 nieces. They put up with my wife it takes her about 2 months to take in all the stuff from the kids and The staff is very understanding and they sort though all the clothes and give her an offer she doesnt care what the price is because it is at least money that she can spend on more clothes for the kids.So thank you all staff at once upon a child for being understanding and awesome .

If I could give zero stars I would. I will NEVER go back here. I brought baby items to sell and had a family matter come up so I came back 48 hours after dropping off my items to pick up whatever they didn’t want and the staff informed me they THREW IT OUT!!!!! That it was deleted from their system after one day so not only did I not get paid for everything they wanted, but they also threw anything they did not want in the trash. Absolutely Ridiculous!!!! Horrible service. All the girl kept saying was it’s all on the receipt. DO NOT SELL TO THEM!

The staff at this store are so incredibly rude & unprofessional. I love the concept of the store & have had great experiences with Once upon a time in Chicago, but this Fort Wayne store is a joke. I have given this store a couple chances & each time-with out me even selling anything-its been the experience, young ghetto girls talking about their drama in front of customers, no eye contact & zero customer service. The manager of this place needs to fire everyone & start over. Its a shame that the staff is ruining such a great concept store.

Brand new no stains on anything all name brand and they didn’t take any next time maybe the employees should not be sitting on the floor, gossiping and look threw the stuff good. 2 hours for that bs waste of time. Now come on manager say something to me like all the bs you did to others who have had a complaint. Kids to kids so much freakin better. Do not fall for the claim made on their website: BUYING EVERYDAY ALL DAY!!!Only once have I actually been to consign and receive money. Every other time I have unloaded the car and both my children only to walk up to the front door to a (barely visible from the parking lot) sign that read something along the lines of: Due to high volumes of clothing, no buying today. A simple update on the website or a facebook page would be incredibly convenient to loyal consignors. Beware that the WAIT TIME when when they are actually accepting consignors is at least ONE HOUR... So, be prepared if you decide to give them a try.

When you go there to sell clothes name brand and clean of stains and wrinkles they won’t take them. The shoes they sell aren’t clean. They give you a check instead of cash so you can’t use the check to buy new clothes. Waste of time and money. Would not recommend.

The way this store is ran blows my mind, the amount of people that are constantly at this store just shows how well the staff runs the store along with the owner. 5 stars all the way, keep up the good work.

Seem to have a lot of clothing and toys that appear to be in good shape. Was looking for a car booster seat that might have been slightly used. Only had new ones or items priced at new prices for the seats.

This place has a huge selection of used kids clothing and toys. If you buy new clothing for your mid you are waisting a ton of money. It also helps the environment. Definitely recommend buying and selling to this place.

Been going here for 2 years (since our second child was born) and love it. Have constantly found deals for by the kids who are now 8 & 2. It even lead us to stop at a OUAC in Columbus, OH while on vaca last year! Have never done the buy program tho as we usually give the clothes away to friends/family as ours grow out of them.

Prices are inconsistent. Staff is very rude and the store is dingy. Ill stick to Kids Wear, staff is nice and so are their products.
