They hit me I quickly and my estimate was spot on. (They do tell you it could be more it depends on the car and what needs done and what they might have to end up doing) my appointment was at one I drop it off at 12:45 and they took it back instantly and it was done within 40 mins my car runs like it’s brand new now (got my muffler fixed)
Replaced my worn and rusted out muffler with a new freer flowing muffler and added a nice and matching exhaust tip.
Very rude and unprofessional. And hung up on me when we were talking on the phone.
All new people. Used them for years and never had bad service but now will never use them again. Paid $750 for new pads and rotors on all four tires. They were squeaking the day I drove it home. I waited two weeks hoping it was just brake dust, but when it didn’t stop I called and was told they had no idea why that would happen and didn’t offer to help. When I insisted they look at them I was told it was my fault for braking too hard. I assure you this is not the case. They said there was nothing they could do and refused to help any further. I took the car to another mechanic who said the brakes were new and installed correctly, but they were just such low quality POS brakes that they were already wearing down and there was nothing to be done but replace them. Again, FAIR refused to do anything. Less than 4 months (1,000 miles) after purchased I am forced to buy all new brakes from another mechanic because these are already grinding and are unsafe. This should be illegal and the owners should be ashamed of themselves charging almost a month’s pay for something so critical to driver safety. Will never go back and I urge others to go elsewhere.
If 0 stars was an option I would have used it. I went for a break inspection this morning. The guy drove it around the building then put it on a lift. Everything seemed okay because I’d never watched a break inspection before, but I know from watching multiple videos on YouTube that a standard break inspection involves removing the tires and looking at the calipers without the tire obstructing the view. This is when it got interesting, the gentleman came in and told me that my break calipers, pads (which were just replaced 8 days ago), rotors and break lines all needed replaced. The entire inspection was roughly 20 minutes. Me being a person who was always told make sure you get multiple opinions on anything that involves the safety of my life and those around me, I got not one, but two different opinions and estimates on my vehicle. Both of the other shops removed the tires and did the inspections without the tires on. Both other shops had the exact same opinion and estimate, that the break calipers, pads rotors, and lines were in perfect working condition with both other shops taking at minimum one hour to fully inspect the vehicle and finding those components had absolutely no issues. Both other shops clearly stated that there had been air in my break lines from the breaks being replaced ( that was my fault, not theirs. I want that to be very clear) I explained to them that I was pretty sure that air had been introduced in the line and that is what caused the issues. I just didn’t know the extent of the problems. They seemed like they didn’t give two cares in the world and I was very disappointed in the lack of empathy, and to be quite honest the rude ness of employees, another customer referred to my s/o as a douchebag because he stated “that we were going to try to find somewhere to do the work cheaper” this is commonly a phrase used when a person is in knowledge of a shop that can perform the work cheaper. The employee agreed with her and stated “seriously I can’t stand people like him people are so rude.” People will be rude when you are being rude to them and aren’t thoroughly explaining why you are charging $125 for a single part that I just looked up and it only costs $65. Will never go back or refer anyone to them.
This is one those rare examples of a modern business that exudes traditional customer service. The entire crew, especially Cassie and Terry, are always accommodating to my strange schedule, and provide a top-notch service at a remarkable price, in a timeframe thats always quicker than promised. And, they have a great sense of humor to boot.
I showed up without an appointment and still fit me into the schedule immediately when I arrived! Unfortunately they couldn’t work on my car but still brought me into the shop to show me what was wrong and even showed me how to fix it! Thanks again boyz stay safe and hope y’all having fun
Showed up at 10:40 for my 11:00 appt. Got me in right away. Originally quoted me $350, due to the issue being simpler than expected they knocked the price down to $225. Only took an hour for the actual fix. I was so impressed with the friendliness and prompt time. I had never heard of them until my boyfriend recommended, but I will for sure refer them to everyone I know.
Got me in the shop right away! Quick service and great price. My muffler puurrrsss now. Thanks Tony!
Great customer service. Quote for repair was way out of price range.
Decent and nice people, helpful but not able to fulfill my request which was a special case. Availability seemed to be pushed around a bit and price was a little unexpectedly high. Good however for basic services.
They do a lot of vehicles for me and my business. The folks are super nice and very helpful. Get your vehicle serviced here!
Had a tailpipe dragging on the ground. Went to another shop and they told me they couldnt work on it due to my truck being too big.. They suggested Fair Muffler on Coliseum Blvd so I went over there. They got me right in and had me fixed up in less than 1/2 hr for under $50!! Great service and price! The service technician spent the time to show me what was causing the issue and what he did to correct it. This was one of the few times that I can truthfully say that I was impressed. I will recommend this place to anyone!
Very thorough and wanted to get me in right away to fix my car. Very nice people.
Was there the first time with a 2007 Kia Sedona to replace the flex pipes in the exhaust system. They came in on quote even though there were a few issues as it was a nasty job. Taking my 2003 Ford Escape in to have the flex pipe replaced and I am going to Fair Muffler because they do such exceptional work with no problems down the road!
Great service! Only place I go!
Terrible company that tried to over charge me for a job they could not correct. I disagree with the final amount, because they didnt repair the problem I took it in for. When I went to pick up my car, everyone was playing the blame game. He didnt do this, weve been short staffed, on an on. I paid my bill and upon leaving the mechanic made a comment about my engine. I said I did bring my vehicle in for any engine work. I had just had an engine replacement done, so nothing was wrong with my engine. As I got a few miles down the road my car started to vibrate, and would not go over 40mph. They sabotaged my car, they had it for over three weeks and when I took it to them it was running fine. The mechanics are not knowledgable and they should have told me they couldnt identify the problem. Now I have the original pro to deal with and a sabotaged motor. BEWARE!!!
Excellent and fast service. It took less than an hour to estimate and replace my muffler
Very kind an helpful...
Always pleased with this crew.
Repaired 2 joints in my exhaust. Price came in about $75 less than their original estimate. Goodbye Exhaust world. Hello Fair muffler.
Very impressed with service and price both locations we have visited (Coliseum and Stellhorn locations). Both times we have had a quote from another shop and Fair muffler was able to save us money while still doing a quality job. We definitely will continue to use Fair Muffler in the future.
Called in about having then look at my muffler. They took me in right away and were able to fix all leaks. I saved a lot of time because they could get me in right away. Thank you Tony.
Friendly an fast... Highly recommended
Explained what needed to be done and presented the worn out part. Friendly atmosphere with timely service. Pricing inline with parts and service value. A++
Very helpful with my Sentra. Helped wire up the exhaust until I can afford the repairs needed.
Horrible customer serivce. Had an appointment and had to wait 30 min before they could fix my car. Rude never going back
20 minutes is all it took, friendly service, took me back and showed me the problem before they fixed it. I recommend them
Went in with a spontaneous dragging exhaust . They advised they were booked solid but would check it out quickly anyway. They Decided to fix it right then in about 15min and only chargered me a small fee for labor plus parts. I was very impressed.
Good service low price. Best deal Ive found for auto maintenance in Fort Wayne.
I will never go there...i cant afford to buy them another building for business....
First time I went, to have 2 bolts removed, I was told there was a minimum 1hr. charge ($90)...for less than 15 minutes of work. The second time I went, for nearly the same work, I was only charged about $40...for about 5 minutes of work (Plus the time putting the car up on the lift and, subsequently, taking it down.). Working in an auto repair shop myself, I felt that the second charge was very fair considering what it think would have cost me to get the equipment to do the job.The first time the employees acted like I was bothering them. The second time the shop employees were very accommodating. As I previously mentioned, I work as a mechanic and was trying to network so that I would have a vendor to do what I couldnt, or didnt have the time for, but the first visit really soured me on ever frequenting this shop again. Its almost an oxymoron that they are named FAIR...
They are funny went in to get my car evaluated a 1998 Ford Explorer just to get a tune up spark plugs cap rotor and wires $250 are you kidding me if anybody else thinks this is fair then let me know message me this is some straight caca Toro they used to be very nice but the lady that is at the counter has let her Authority go to her head I will never go back here again which is a shame because I knew and I know that they are decent people however not now not ever again
Quick and Very good service!!!Thank you folks!!!
I came in from out of town and they were a great bunch of people, but most importantly they did great work at a fair price. Thanks guys!
Sandy is super friendly and helpful. Appointments are easy to get, and a mechanic will SHOW you what needs to be done with your vehicle.
Best place to repair your vehicle, fast service, reasonable price and friendly. Id recommend this shop to anybody.
Aaron Stoffer, Manager, and his men, Chris and Derrick, helped my partner, Michael Looney, get back on the road when the muffler fell off his 1975 K5 Blazer as he was traveling through Fort Wayne, IN, recently. Aaron directed Michael to the second location, on Stellhorn Rd, where Derrick and Chris immediately began working on Michaels truck. He was back on the road with a new muffler within two hours. These guys are great!
Disrespectful techs. Make negative comments about your car and laugh. The manager...well she just stood there at the register. Hires on south anthony took care of my catylitic convertor. Cheaper too!!!
I went to this place twice due to a problem with my car muffler, I spent $ 700 and my car remains the same
Excellent service!!
Been doing business with them since 1990, the name says it all, they have always been fair to me, replaced 10+ mufflers and a couple cats. Be sure to keep your muffler warranty card for the next time. I have not had any other work done by them yet.
I got robbed at Butchs Exhaust on Oxford St. Crappy work. So i went to Fair Muffler on Coliseum where Timothy hooked me up. He cleaned off and fixed the issues with the last job and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend Fair Muffler to anybody, and deffinately ask for Timothy! He not only fixed somebody elses mess up for me and did it right, but he was very fair and understanding when he charged me for his work as well. I had already dumped a $189 into it, and Timothy only charged me $75 to fix it. Lesson learned, from now on ill go to Fair Muffler for all my exhaust system needs! Thanks again Timothy, God bless!
They saved me money on a repair whereas other shops wouldve just replaced my whole muffler pipe.
Awesome place they always take care of me. Very friendly.
Great customer service even showed me the problem for a better understanding
Incredible service and price. Great people to do business with.

I am always a last minute type of person when it comes to getting my oil changed and I am glad I can always count on Fair Muffler to get me in and out in a timely manner! They said they are building a 3rd location so now they will be even closer to me on Maplecrest!!
