I am sorry to see the negative reviews. I have been going to Stanton Optical for several years without complaint. They have always been extremely helpful, patient and polite. Everyone in the store is kind and helpful. There was an issue with my insurance and one of the employees was kind enough to call customer service on my behalf to get the issue resolved. Fantastic. The doctor is very knowledgeable and efficient. Then the sales staff is willing to work with you to find the best prices given different insurances. It is all around a great place to go for us glasses and contacts needing people.

My mom and I made an appointment for 6:10pm yesterday. We walked in the store at 5:45pm and were not greeted but approached by a command that we must not touch any frames at this time and he must get our temperature taken. He did not ask who we were and if we had an appointment. He pointed to the back of the store and told us to go wait back there to be helped. Never asked who we were and did not care. We waited until 6:20 when finally the female assistant called me to the desk to tell me that there was no eye doctor in the store as he left at 5pm but that I would need to do a VIRTUAL EXAM!!! What???? Why would you set up an appt at 6:10 if the doctor leaves at 5pm. So we left the store and went to a competitor. We are so glad we did as our experience at the competitor was AMAZING!!!! These people run you through like cattle here and do not have any customer service skills at all!

If 0 stars was an option that would be my rating. They are very unprofessional and have no interest in helping fix the mistakes they make. 3 months later and I have never been more unhappy with my glasses. I got 2 pairs and one has a finger and a nail pushed into the frame and scratches on them, when brought up I was told they couldn’t promise the new pair wouldn’t come in the same way due to being plastic frames. 3 months later and I still don’t have the new frames. Definitely won’t be back.

I had a very good experience at this office. All of the staff were incredibly kind to me during my visit. The doctor took extra time to ensure that my prescription was right for me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor do that for me before. The woman who helped me learn to put my contacts in was super helpful, and gave me a bunch of tips to make it easier. I will be recommending to friends!

My eyeglasses were fine. However, I had requested contact vision check as well . After, I was told none was done, than led to believe it was and that I would be called when my lens were in. I called once and again were told they would call when my contacts were in. One month later, I called and were told the only thing I was checked for was eyeglasses and not contacts. I specifically requested a contact check, the doctor even asked if I wanted colored lens and a dot to mark them. I do not understand this, I will not suggest Stanton optical to any one nor will I return.

Woman checking me in was cold and rude, but that wasnt the big problem. Exam was fine. I paid for my exam and wanted my prescription because I am purchasing glasses online. Sorry, not everyone can afford $200 for one pair of glasses, and wait a month to receive them. Mine go through a lot of wear and tear and I can purchase 3 online for less than $100. I noticed my PD (pupillary distance) wasnt on my prescription. Figured it was a mistake. No problem, I had mine saved from my last eye exam. My husband went and got his eye exam. He asked for the PD to be included and they refused, saying they dont include it so people cant go buy their glasses online and not through their store. How is that okay? How is it their business what I do with my prescription, especially when we paid for our exams? We are entitled to that information, as it is part of our prescription. For them to withhold information regarding our eye exam because they want to prevent people from buying affordable glasses is preposterous. Im actually not sure if that is even legal to do. We wont be returning.

I dont usually do reviews but I had to for this.My partner and I had appointments today. Both of us are extremely happy with our visit! As soon as we walked in, one of the workers offered us a very warm hello, and made us feel welcome [which was a huge relief as eye doctors stress me out so much lol].We both agree that the exam process was the most pleasant and easy eye exam weve ever had [were both lifetime glasses users]. There were about a million frames to choose from, with prices ranging from as low as $20 up to $199. The exam is free if you get two pairs. We had five pairs between us and only spent about $500, which Id say is a deal considering Ive paid around that for one pair + an exam at my usual optician.The tech who did our exams was very friendly, and made good small talk for both us which helped make the process more comfortable. The lens testing portion with the actual doctor was done via video call, which was a little strange, but it went just as well as a vision test can. The last person we saw was the gal who made our prescriptions and placed our order - she was just the best, super sweet and answered our probably 500 questions very patiently. We had a lovely conversation with her. Our whole visit took about an hour and a half, most of which was us shopping for frames. I highly recommend Stanton!Ill update my review once our glasses come in [which is supposed to take about two weeks].

Run far away from this place.. we have continued to give them our business over the years.. even after being burned multiple times by them. Shame on us for going back. The manager (Melissa or Alyssa I think her name is) is impossible to reach. Corporate told my husband he would be refunded $155.00 and needed to talk to the above named manager. They still havent managed to do so and its been over a month.

Went into store for appointment an hour later and was told they were out of network, no deal, and were definitely unmotivated for my business.

My experience there was over all great but the reason for my 3 star review is that its been over a month since my exam and only 1 of my 2 glasses are ready. I have not received any texts, calls or emails telling me anything about my glasses and when I checked online it just said something about a delay and gave me an estimated ready date. For as much as people pay Stanton Optical should work harder at keeping their customers informed of their orders.Edit: I had called the number. Was on hold then hung up on. Now my order status has changed yet again. My ready date for my 2nd pair has been pushed back again. I am outraged that its been over a month and I cant get my glasses that I paid for. Absolutely ridiculous!

I was a decade long customer and after the treatment I have received this past month I will never return or recommend this place. I bought contacts and they got the prescription wrong. Then I bought a pair of glasses and after 6 weeks they still werent ready. They gave so many excuses and did nothing to make it right. I wanted a full refund. The manager got everything ready while I talked to the doc about my contacts. When I came back she had left and only refunded me about 80% of my money. When I asked where was the rest they refused to give me the rest. So I have no contacts and no glasses. And they stole my money. Never go here they are money hungry and dont deserve your money.

These guys were very helpful, they were very patient, showing me which glasses would be best for my face (one of the women who works there was leaving but spent extra time to help me). Then, when I went back to their store to pick up my glasses, they helped me figure out how to help one of my students who broke her glasses... for free. Very very nice people.

This place is absolutely horrible. I ordered my glasses 2 weeks ago and I got a text saying they were there. I went there and they couldn’t be found anywhere. So I got another text saying they were there again and still nowhere to be found. So now they have to reorder them and I have to wait another 2 weeks for my glasses. Horrible and extremely frustrating. I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed. I would not recommend this place if you need glasses in a normal timely manner.🤬😡🤬😡🤬

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! If 0 was possible to get then that is what they get. 1 star is still too much for this company. I would be very cautious before spending any money with these people. I been there 3 times in a year and (2 times just in the past month. 3 different eye test all together 3 different results. My eyes dont change that much. I see better with my old broken glasses.). They refuse to stand by their 30 day money back guarantee, INSTEAD THEY WANT ME TO KEEP COMING BACK EVRY OTHER WEEK UNTILL THE GET IT RIGHT? ( their guarentee is a scam. The lady refused to honor the 30 day guarantee and said their guarentee is only 24 hours WHILE BEING RUDE AND PRETENTIOUS. Even though the website says 30 days. They take so long to make your glasses the 30 days is ran out before you get them. That is what it sounded like when the unprofessional office assistant explained it to me after I confronted her with the website) Stanton corporate headquarters keeps passing the buck back to the fort wayne location and they refuse to live up to the website guarantee. I believe They need investigated for false advertising and misrepresentation of services. The consumer protection agency needs to be more aware of business like this that is only worried about lining their corporate pockets and refusing to live up to their own standards. Had an appointment today for recheck got a text for reminder showed up early was told dont do recheck only on Thursday and Friday when Dr in cause its virtual the rest of the time. So drove 45mins away for nothing got 6 glasses told get call when ready picked up 5 still after a month waiting on 6th pair witch is my sons and he still cant see right still no calls on any of the glasses made 4 trips and still have to make a 5th for another recheck. Won’t be returning nor recommending. my eye exam took less than 10 minutes, which resulted in me being given the wrong prescription. i went to another place to try and get glasses for the between period while waiting on my ones for stanton to come in. when they made the glasses to the prescription stanton gave is when we found out it was definitely incorrect. i went back to stanton to try and have them retest and was refused, they told me they weren’t going to do anything until my stanton glasses came in in 2 weeks, i asked to have my order cancelled and she told me no although i met the 24hour requirement. i had to call the corporate number to have my order cancelled and refunded.

Had a very bad experience at a place near by, walked in here and was greeted very nice and had temp taken due to covid. Was very busy but they asked what brought me in and I explained what happened with a nearby competitor and they quickly got my info and explained insurance questions I had with my vision and was very quick and helpful with service and even on a Saturday at noon and was training someone!! I will recommend and continue my business here!!

This Stanton location takes COVID safety seriously. They do temp checks at the door. Require masks. They do a good job with cleaning as well. They sanitize all glasses that are tried on before they are put back up on the wall. They did a good job of keeping us safe and I felt very comfortable while I was in the store

I bought an $80 gift card for my brother just before Christmas 2020. When he went to use it in March of 2021, they claimed it must be expired. When I talked to the corporate office, they claimed I needed to talk to the store, who was not answering the phone. Im told it may be because they never activated the gift card, but Im not getting any help with the situation. The corporate office that I talked to called the store 3 times while I was on the phone with them, then gave up because the store wasnt answering.

Bought $300 Safety glasses from them, they told me if you broke these Safety shields we will replace twice for free. I broke mine within 6 months and guess what? They said we dont have this size anymore and gave me weird size Safety shields which are not fitting my glasses and their is a big gape.

Terrible place I have been calling for months trying to get my contacts sent to me! No one answers. Managment is terrible. I bought contacts a month ago and have talked to 5 or 6 different people. I get hung up on or no one calls me back . Just robbed me off money and contacts. Don’t go here ever. After this set of contacts I will no longer be apart of staton optical.

Called the customer service number per owner reply and got hung up on once, second time I spoke with someone who couldnt explain why they cant provide a policy specifically stating they will withold information regarding your prescription (PD). He kept telling me that the store will tell you. I explained over and over that if this is a store policy, it should be easy to find and provide. Its not on the website. It is illegal to withold information regarding my prescription, from an exam that I paid for. I paid for the service, I never agreed to buy glasses through them. Witholding the information doesnt stop people from buying glasses online, it just stops them from ever using Stanton for an eye exam ever again. A formal complaint has already been filed. Good luck keeping a business open, by the reviews its just a matter of time before theyre out of business.

The staff in the store were pleasant. I was told it would be 2 weeks for the frames to arrive. I got confirmation that my order was ready, but when I went in only one pair of glasses were there. No one knew what was happening with the other pair.I called a week later and was told the glasses were in transit to the store and would be available the next day. The next day I was told the same thing - this continued on for over 4 weeks - each time I was told they would be available the next day. At the end of the 4th week I was told I would receive a call back within 24 hours with a concrete answer on availability and status of the frames. I received no call back. Im now at five weeks with no answer and now cannot get a person to speak with directly. I would rather have paid more money to go someplace else and have my glasses available by now.Edit to address the below response from Stanton Optical: Ive spent over an hour and half trying to get someone to talk to at the below number provided. Each time I was placed on hold for at least 30 minutes and then was hung up on. I also tried to call the local number and no one answered after being placed on hold for over 45 minutes.

Customer services trash. I was misinformed about my warranty. I was told I had another month before it expired. I go in to the store and then they told me I missed my warranty by a day. I called the 800 number to tell them about their service and was told there was nothing they can do. The store manager also told me there was nothing they can do either. I also asked for my prescription to be faxed a month before that and never received it. The only thing I like about this place is they had some good frames to choose from.

Beware of purchasing your glasses at Stanton Optical. I paid over $700.00 for a pair of glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. I have worn glasses all my life and have never had glasses of such poor quality. My husband also bought a pair of glasses there and has had the same bad experience. Both of us paid extra for their scratch resistant coating, but within a year the coating has peeled away around the lens edge. I took mine in (luckily this was within the warranty) and they did re coat them; however both of my glasses are doing the same thing again and they will not re coat them unless I pay extra to have it done. My husband took his in and they also told him he would have to pay the extra. His frames also did not hold up.My temple on one pair just fell off and when I took them back, their solution was to glue it back. Now they are too loose to wear.I will never go there again...go to someone that is reputable. The people that work there are nice and try to be helpful, but Stantons policies and glasses leave a lot to be desired.UPDATE: After I wrote this review, customer service (Leah) called on December 9, 2021 and made it sound like they would take care of this issue. She told me that she would contact the manager of the store and someone would get back to me the same or the next day. No one ever got back to me. Today (December 18, 2020), I again called customer service and talked to Edward who then transferred me to the store, but the manager needed to call me back. I just spoke to the manager and got the SAME answer that I got when I originally went to the store. The warranty is up so I would have to pay to have anything done with my glasses. I will never purchase glasses from Stanton again...GO TO A REPUTABLE PLACE. Seriously glasses should last more than 2-3 years!

I booked two eye exams on for the Fort Wayne location on 409 E Coliseum blvd for 3/3/2021 6:05 pm and 6:10pm. I booked these appointments several days in advance just to drive 30 minutes across town and arrive at 5:40pm to be then be told by a very rude and disrespectful Asst. store mgr Alisa that our appointments had been canceled. I had never received a call or any notice whatsoever. In fact I had even gotten confirmation emails the day prior and a text confirmation the day of. I showed this to Alisa and all she said is oh well I know I called everyone and the dr isn’t staying past 545pm. I asked for the corporate number and ended up having to google it as I observed her being even more disrespectful to a current customer by saying there are just one of me and all of you and I just work here! That gentleman even said to her wow and your the mgr here. And as he walked out he advised me to not spend one dime here at this store! And I can’t agree more. As I was on hold one of her co workers explained to her that I was still up front waiting and I heard Alisa say I don’t care he can stand up there all he wants. When I had finally gotten through to the customer service they confirmed that my appointment was still showing scheduled and didn’t understand why I was being told this. And so today I get another email saying that I missed my appointment. So my review is spend your money else where cause attitude is a direct reflection of management. Will never recommend this place!

Im very disappointed in my experience here, I called a day before my appt I set up to see if they accepted my insurance so I could get an exam and new glasses and the people who answered the phone told me they accept it so I set up an appt and came in the next day and the front desk lady was kind of rude and then she told me they DONT take my insurance there and that Id have to pay out of pocket and sent me on my way and when I went back in to try to pay for just the exam she looked at me like I was dumb and said sorry the machines dont work so Ive wasted my time in showing up to be treated pretty poorly.

The ladies at the front desk were so nice and helpful. I was 20 minutes early to my apt so i was asked to wait in my car to limit the stores occupancy. No problem. When it was my turn a lady came out to my car to let me know it was time so I followed behind her. As we walked in there was another costumer at the desk arguing about something and even then the staff was very respectful and pleasant. No one raised their voice back at this woman even though i could hear her allll the way in the back. As i was waiting behind them a Karen type walked in behind me and tried to say she was there before me and the lady who came out to my car quickly shut that down. Everyone who worked there was very kind and it was a pleasure doing business with them. 10/10 would recommend. Even while dealing with difficult customers they made me very comfortable and did 110% to make sure my needs were taken care of.

Not a Medicare provider anymore. Found out after eye exam that they don’t accept Medicare any longer. And I was out of pocket for the exam. No one asked before exam. Very disappointing, on a fixed budget to find out I need to pay out of pocket.

My Hair Cutters and Vet has figured this out better than you... You can not make a customer stand outside in a 104+ heat index. It is simple... Place an employee outside under a tent. Take the Name and Phone number of people coming in... send them back to their car to wait until their turn... For eye appointments... take them back... really simple.. and do NOT continually place the Non-contact thermometer in the middle of their face... take the temperature off to one side so the thermometer is not in their line of sight..

Optometrist rushed through still thinking I have the wrong prescription. I cant See even after they said “it’s fixed” ok you didn’t even see me to say “it’s fixed”. Got my order wrong I’m sure!. So I went elsewhere cost more money then it needed to if they woulda just done their job correctly. I will Never come back or recommend it to anyone. Poor customer service.

Unsafe, unorganized, and robbers!! My appointment on 11/19/20 started with filling out forms on a tablet. Very difficult for old hands and/or someone whos never used a tablet. I placed the tablet on the counter when done, as instructed. Another patient was brought to the back room and handed the tablet I had just used WITHOUT DISINFECTION. I wobbled across the room and handed the woman a couple disinfectant wipes from my purse and told her what happened. She was grateful as no wipes were provided. Once I picked out 2 pair of frames (for the BOGO) and sat down at the desk, the true nightmare began. My initial cost was almost $700!! I started bawling my eyes out as Im retired on a very limited income. I told her to forget it and just give me my prescription so I could take it somewhere else. When she handed me the prescription I immediately noticed IT WASNT MINE! And so, we started over. I ended up with 1 pair of glasses and contacts. Later, after looking at the detailed receipt, I noticed she had TWO add ons, that I didnt request or need for an additional $60 (UV and anti-glare). I drive very little, and NEVER at night. I might have been able to afford the FREE glasses, if not for the add ons, not sure. She was very unavailable for discussion/questions as we were interrupted every 2 minutes by other employees, even though there were at least 5 people working. When I returned to pick up my glasses (which were late), the woman assisting held up a chart for me to read. I told her I needed to remove my contacts to test the glasses, so I did. Upon returning to the desk to test my glasses we discovered she thought I had bifocals. NOPE! No testing for the glasses or adjustments. She was in a hurry and scooted me out. Is it too much to ask for these employees to KNOW the patients name and needs? Apparently its not required at Stanton. ILL NEVER, EVER BE BACK. Theyll never get another penny or second of my time. I only went to Stanton because they were the only ones with an open appointment. Trust me ... waiting 2 weeks to get in somewhere else is well worth it. RUN!!!

Todays visit was a complete nightmare. My eyes were burning for about a week, I had hoped to talk to doctor about it. Unfortunately, doctor appeared on the screen and asked me to read few lines w/o even asking me about my eye problem. That was it, he did not even spare A SEC to ask or provide me the feedback on my test results. I realized the visit was over when nobody came to the dark room for almost half an hour. I struggled to find anyone who could help me with next steps. After another 20 minutes i was asked to buy a pair of reading glass by a salesperson who was being helpful and listening to my eye problem. I did pay$150 for the glass as a gratitude to this salesperson for hearing my problem- I may not even go there to pick the glass, with the frustration I experienced today. May be this was just an odd day, Stanton Optical needs to be more professional and empathetic to the patients. In fact, people within this facility suggested me to write a review- how sad!!!

Dr. didnt do a proper exam. Couldnt see anything but a blur. Was told to wear them for a week and they would be ok. Didnt happen. Still couldnt see. Had to fight to get my money back and its been almost 5 weeks & they still havent processed the return so I still cant get glasses. Poor poor customer treatment.

I scheduled an appointment on line through the website was sent a confirmation email confirming my appointment. I arrived to my appointment and one of the employees(African American girl with the glasses) told me that I was not on the schedule although I showed her the confirmation email. To make a long story short she did not want to provide me services that day due to the schedule being full and asked if I wanted to schedule it for next week. I was getting a little irritated because there was NO ONE there except for one lady. So another gentleman came up to the front and said they could fit me in! I can’t remember his name but thank you! As for the African American girl with the glasses poooooooorrrr customer service. She had an attitude the whole time I was there! Sad to see at such a difficult time that we as African Americans are facing, where you cannot provide great customer service because for one that’s your job and I’m the customer and the fact that you couldn’t let go of that chip on your shoulder due to someone else having to step in and making sure I was seen. It took the doctor less than 20 minutes to check my eyes🤦🏾‍♀️! Any other time I would’ve let it go but as a business owner and an Engineer I’m always interacting with customers and if they leave unhappy I need re evaluate my system and process to make sure that doesn’t happen again. As for the rest of the team and doctor thank you! If I did not have to interact with the African American women with the glasses I would’ve gave you guys a 5!

An appointment doesn’t mean anything here. Allison told me that I didn’t in fact have an appointment after I made one online. Then she told me I was childish for being angry.I suppose they don’t have any sort of management because every time I ask to speak with one, they hang up on me or put me on hold for hours. Regarding the response from Stanton Optical, I have been put on hold and hung up on every time I am connected to the store. For over three weeks I have been assured that the manager would be calling me before the end of the day. That is also a lie. Its a habit now, I call, get put on hold and the muzak fills my store all day. Its a good thing that I have multiple lines at work and its their 800 number.

This store and their actions today deserves no stars!!!! I made my appointment online today, took my lunch early at work and arrived at the store and was told online doesn’t work and I can schedule for another day. The action of the worker was horrible for customer service, I showed the email confirmation of my appointment; he continued to say online is broke and should not have scheduled the appointment. My problem is that I left work and drove 15 minutes to this appointment only to get told that I did not have an appointment. I showed the worker my email confirmation and he did not care and asked to help the lady in behind me! Do not schedule online! However, in fact I’m finding a new place to take care of my eyes! You’ll wasn’t sensitive enough anyway to get to touch or care for my most precious assets! Ruined my entire day! No apology at all! The big tall guy is rude and nope I didn’t get his name!

Went in with a $25 off coupon, buy one get one free frames, and free eye exam. Have to wait 2 weeks for basic lenses, and received only one pair of disposable contacts. Ended up paying $315. I will never use or speak well of Stanton Optical again. I wish there was an option to give a negative star rating. Not inexpensive at all, and the advertisements are misleading.

Do not go here!! The optometrist (telehealth) rushed me through the entire eye exam. I did not even have a chance to blink between her changing slides. She was not the least bit personable. It was obvious I was just a dollar sign to her and was taking up her precious time. She recommended every single available extra fee add on to my lenses on my prescription. She did not even bother to take the time to tell me she was recommending bifocals for me!! Maybe that was just another money making option to add in. I got no explanation or reason for this and was not told whether it was a necessity. I had to find this out from the optician who was very rude. Instead of caring about the patient and answering my questions and concerns, I received a long tirade about how their doctors are the very best and I would have to have another exam if I had any questions for the dr. Avoid this place at all costs. I will never return here. You are just a big dollar sign to these people and they don’t care about their patients at all. They also have no concept of customer service.

Dont try to call them, they just hang up on ya..... they dont seem to work during work hours...and their customer service you get transferred to thinking youre calling the store, cause thats the number you get for the store, sucks....

Let me just start by saying everyone who worked here that I interacted with was amazing but; The optometrist was super sweet and funny. The lady who helped me actually pick out my glasses (Alyssa) was extremely helpful, caring and made you feel like it was just you and her even though they were super busy. 10/10 would recommend to anybody and was definitely worth my hour drive to get there. Good job guys keep up the great work!

Samara and her staff did an amazing job personally helping me select a pair of frames that were a good fit for me when I had no idea what I was looking for. They were patient with me when I was indecisive and took the time to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Made an appointment for my son. Told them his age 6 almost 7. When we get there today we are told they wont see him the dr isnt in office I had to reschedule.I called the number that the response said to call and it was the same number you call to make an appointment. They did nothing to make my experience any better!!

Very rude staff. Must have an appointment to come in,then make you wait 2 hours AFTER your appointment time to be seen. Called to check if they had my brand of frames in stock,was told they did. Get there only to be told they dont carry them,never have. Will never go back.

I am not a customer/patient of Stanton Optical, but I had a particular frame in my and wanted to know if they carry it. When I called and the young man answered the phone he was talking to someone in the background as he was answering the phone. Very unprofessional. I asked if I could speak to an Optician to ask about the frames. When she picked up the phone she was not at all friendly. I can tell by these two examples that they do not put customers first. And naturally they don’t carry my frames

My third pair of glasses from Stanton over the years. They price match and have great deals! Samara was very helpful, I found a pair I liked but she helped me find a pair I loved. Amber was also nice to work with. I brought my own prescription and my insurance expired and they worked with me with no problems. The whole floor staff was very friendly and informative.

I went to my appt yesterday and while the customer service was OK at best, I came out with a prescription for contacts that have given me worse eye sight than my last prescription. I dont believe that the video chat with the optometrist is really the best way to address any issues and I was cut off from the chat before I could ask any questions. Definitely not ever coming back.

Ill start off by saying that I only went here because they were in network for my insurance. Staff was great, doctor was horrible. Rushed through my exam, and basically picked the answers for me. He got angry with me when I said I didnt like the contacts I currently had. He said I wish you would have told me that earlier! I explained the issues I was having (dry eyes, burning, feels like theres something stuck in my eye, etc) and I already answered all these issues on the questionnaire I filled out before the exam. He asked me well which ones do you want then? I dont know- youre the doctor! I dont know which kinds of contacts are out there, or which one I should get. I finally just told him the contacts I had were fine, because I just wanted to get out of there. I checked out for my exam (fortunately didnt have to pay any of my own money) and didnt buy any contacts or glasses. I will go literally anywhere else for that even if it means I have to pay more because they arent in network.

Truly the worst experience Ive ever had at an optometrist. My first appointment was booked incorrectly, so when I showed up at the office I wasnt on the books. When they checked the system my appointment had been scheduled for the next day but the office manager said they were double booked at that time so I had to reschedule again. When I came back for my appointment I was rushed through the eye exam and when I finally chose new frames I wasnt given any option on lense types, only to find the sales manager charged me for the highest tier of products without asking permission. $600 later I have waited 4 weeks for my glasses and contacts and am currently on hold trying to figure out what the deal is. I have been on hold for 40 minutes. Do. Not. Go. Here. Do Not.

Was told over the phone 3 seperate times the cost if eye exam was 39 dollars. Once we checked in yhe cost was 45 dollars and the consultant said oh that was someone at the call center. Those prices arent for here.... Ill update once exam is complete.

Customer service is horrible, they over book, and their prescriptions are usually wrong. They screw you around, act like you dont exist. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is a very bad joke, doesnt care about its patients, and just takes your money. Stay away!!!! Prior to posting this review, I called the 877 number and spoke with Pedro. He reaffirmed that corporate does not care, his words were, I can put you in touch with the store, but there is nothing I can do..

The staff was very nice and competent. My experience with the Dr. was VERY poor. Besides not listening to my questions, he was rude and lectured me on how my opinion of my sight was not important, only what the machines said. The staff had to settle him down. I will not return.

I took my 13 year old in for an eye exam, glasses, and contacts. Erica helped my daughter pick out the perfect frames so she would actually WANT to wear her glasses! Guess what? I was able to avoid getting ripped off. I was gonna do the 2 for $59.95 and free exam but I ended up getting the eye exam for $45 and not any glasses. The ones that was part of the deal were horrible! Only about 10 pairs and they were so horrible looking and not old but extremely old. I paid for my exam and went right to eyeglass world! And did 2 for $78 and they are wonderful!

Just left and the experience I had was amazing! The staff was so friendly. I worked with Destiny and she helped me find a pair of glasses that looked best on me. I normally dont like to go to ANY doctors office because of the wait time. When I got there, I was in and out in less than hour. Theyre extremely efficient with the exam. Once it was time to pick my frames, (I had no idea what I was looking for) Ericas patience made things a LOT easier. Erica and rest of the staff made the environment very comfortable and relaxin!

Had an appointment today and I have to say everyone was so polite and friendly the doctor was very nice and decently fast to get you seen and out looking for your new frames. The lady I had helping samara was awesome she helped fully explain my insurance and what was affordable I never felt pressured and they give you all the time and help you need picking out the perfect frames for you. I will never get glasses from here again. Not because the glasses are bad. Theyre fine. But every morning I get a robo call saying my glasses are done and Ive had them for 2 weeks now. I called twice and they said they would stop. Today was the third time I had to call. They come from different numbers so you cant block them. I work second shift. I dont need a 9am wake up call every day.

Terrible experience. I made an appt for my 6 year old son online 4-5 days in advance. After making the appt I received an email thanking me for joining Stanton optical, though it did not confirm the time and date of my appointment. The morning of, I called and confirmed the appt with the store as I was unsure if I even had one since there was no confirmation. They stated I did indeed have one, confirmed the name and birthdate of the patient and said “see you later today”. When I arrived, I waited about 3-4 minutes at the front, no big deal, then a woman approached me asking how she could help. I told her I had an appt for my son, she proceeded to ask how old he was. I told her he was 6 and she said they would not be able to do an exam today because there was no dr in. She said “let’s go over here to reschedule “. I declined rescheduling as I left work early to get to this appointment and was very upset that I was able to make an appt with Stanton knowing the age of my son as well as I had to call the morning of to confirm if I even had an appt. Not to mention, not being able to get the eye exam. I left the store without even hearing an apology from the woman. Very unprofessional and I will not return

The lady who helped me contact and glasses, her name is *Jessica*. Jessica is friendly, polite, sweet, helpful and no pressure. I love Jessica. The other staff is friendly too. They gave me the best service.But I dont like the doctor treat me. Because he was rush to me and didnt give enough time to make sure that I can see.He asked the question 1 or 2 vision that I can see. Then he answered it. He didnt repeat that vision. I think my eyes exam took 10 minutes. I feel like the doctor is not patient.I dont know that he is rush or fast. But I feel like he wants to finish quickly. I might think about to come back next year.But Im a customer as long as Jessica is there.

Bait and switch advertising that deserves a class action lawsuit! Class action lawsuits have been won for much less than this. So deceptive that Ill place a BET that many of the 5 star reviews are fake. They do everything they can to avoid giving you a copy of your prescription information as they realize people will buy their glasses much cheaper online. I remember asking for it when I went ahead and allowed myself to be scammed into the phony prices, they just changed the topic until I forgot and moved on. I called months later to get the prescription, after my glasses are badly scratched up from constantly being laid down on the plastic glasses holder in my car, and was transferred to a call center agent who gave me the run around then never followed through with the email she claimed Id get. So I call back the next day and was told they dont email prescriptions anymore? Fax or pickup only... Gave her (store employee this time) a fax number and she said right away. One hour later... No fax! Im going to call again and again until they give in (Ill use new numbers if they block this one), and Im NEVER going to pay $450 for a $69 pair of glasses again! If your business model is threatened because of online sales, then the business model needs to evolve. Become the people who specialize in offering perceptions without glasses, because who ever those people will be, theyre definitely going to put Stanton Optical out of business. That is, if a class action lawsuit doesnt first.
