This place is like an antique mall filled with nothing but cool stuff. Something for everyone and the owners are incredibly nice. I took my son with me this week and the joy we had cant be put in words. The items prices are very reasonable and we are looking forward to checking out a comicon at this location. Thank you Fanboys marketplace for a wonderful time!!
We just came in on a Saturday. We picked up a couple of Funko pops that we hadnt seen before. The prices were more than fair, and the selection is mind blowing. Our only gripe is that we didnt have more money to spend. We will definitely be back!
If you like shopping local, and having a lot of variety, look no further than fanboys. Do not let the name fool you, yes they have comics and funkos and other nerdy items, but they also small handcrafted items as well as clothes and other items. Additionally, they get special guests, like today they had Sam De La Rosa (venom artist)!!!
Being a local art entrepreneur, I had been always looking for a platform that could help me showcase my talent. This place has been that much-awaited opportunity for me. It was a thrilling experience for me when they invited me to attend their event.!
This by far is the best shop for toy collectors and gamers. They sell a wide variety of merchandise and at very reasonable prices. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. I really enjoy the events they hold with comic book artists, voice actors, and even Santa! I would highly recommend this shop!
Fanboys marketplace is for every local artist who never fails to showcase their passion in their talent. I have been visiting this place for quite some time now. What drives me to this place is the fun vibe and aura.
We absolutely love this place, from the pops to the Jewlery to the clothing and games… there is a little something for everyone. The staff is very friendly and helpfulMy daughter was able to ask questions about how to use her cricut maker and even purchase vinyls.I love the jewelry selections and the different clothing boutiquesWide range and variation of vendors and productsCheck them out
I play Dungeons and Dragons every Saturday here. It is very clean and family friendly. Sell food and drinks in addition to comic books, dungeons and dragons, games, and others. If you go make sure to check out howling mouse games on the left when you come in it is the best.
I love Fanboys Marketplace. Definitely my home away from home. The staff always greets you upon arrival. And the variety of merchandise is phenomenal. Nostalgia!!! My boys love coming in and looking for new pops, because they do such a good job at getting new items in daily.
I was working as a nanny for these two boys who had a thing for toys. One day, I had to attend the events of this marketplace and took the boys along. Guess what? They loved this place and now they visit here with me, often.!
LOVE the marketplace! LOVE the staff! A lot of things to see and buy. Love that it supports local artists/creators. Definitely would visit again, especially during their celebrity events! Be sure to check them out!
I got to learn some marketing skills from these people. They are perfect for catering to the interest of a huge audience belonging to different age groups.!
Fanboys Marketplace is an amazing small business that is supporting other small businesses by allowing them to rent a booth and sell their products. We really enjoyed seeing all the cool collectables, comics, and toys sold by vendors. Definitely check it out if you havent been.
If you are a gamer at heart, this place is the one for you. My little one is a big-toy lover and the best way to get things done from him is to bribe him with a tour of Fanboy marketplace. This place is nothing short of fabulous.
Lack of customer service, and overpriced items. Just buy from etsy.com, or other reputable stores such as Sanctuary Books, Evo Games, Collected Comics, or even Ebay.
You will get your hands on the rarest items at Fanboys Marketplace. It is highly recommended to see their collection.!!
They won’t return call I was a vendor and gave notice like they said 30 days! They haven’t paid us for ours sales the last month!Mike was not a nice person every time we saw him he would always avoid us!We are older people in our 60’s and he doesn’t have good business ethics! We deserve to be paid!!!
The only good thing about this place is the laughable attempts that the owner has made to try and hide his snarky responses to other people so that he can look like a better person. He edited some of his replies to the lower reviews, very untrustworthy and suspicious. Good thing I have screenshots of the original responses.Like one other person said in these reviews, there are other places to go to instead of here, like Collected or Lone Star. Game Xchange has good stuff too.Edit and response to owner: Listen buddy, the only thing fake here is YOU! Its real convenient that you call the 1-star reviews fake but act like a complete simp for the 4 and 5 star ones. Just because you dont agree with you treat people and customers doesnt make it a fake review. Also I attached a screenshot of your little edits. And I may add that anyone can go on archive.org and look at your unedited responses. What a joke.
Huge variety of items and staff is super nice. Most things are very well priced. Great place to buy gifts for just about anyone.
Was very disorganized and very hot. There was not near the product for JBF as has been in the past . As there was a response to this by the marketplace saying that they had nothing to with JBF. I must reinstate that while JBF was disorganized the main reason we did not stay and look at much else in there was the fact that it was extremely HOT. It did not feel like was any cooling air at all in there.
Ill be totally honest and say I have never shopped here, but I have shown interest. Though after seeing how the owner interacts with people when they have something less than perfect to say about his business or him, Im glad I havent spent a penny here.Just take a look at how he responds to most of the less than 4 star reviews. Very weak-minded, childish, and toxic owner just wants to argue and throw names but doesnt have the decency to square up, Im sure you know the type. Stay away from this place, I would leave a 0 star review if I could. Go spend your money at Dollar Deal Comics, Lone Star Comics, and/or Collected instead. As an added note to the owner himself: Its not okay to randomly ask people you barely know if they are pregnant or call a person special when you get angry at them for rightfully calling you out.
My husband happened to have a conversation with the owner of Fanboys Marketplace. He is running such a big and exclusive store but is very grounded and humble.!
This store has a little bit of everything! We stop by at least once a week and are always greeted by a welcoming staff.
Mike Rogers, the owner and operator of this establishment, went online to one of my friends Facebook’s, made an inappropriate comment asking if she was pregnant. When confronted about this and told it was inappropriate he denied it, claimed it was just a joke, said it was okay to do because he knew her, and refused to apologize. I was actually really wanting to check this place out, but not anymore now that I know who operates this establishment. This was one of his vendors, mind you, so potential vendors, especially woman should be mindful of doing business here.Update: he breached contract with my friend and fired her with no given reason. Vendors beware doing business here.Another update: he is now sending people to harass and write negative reviews on my friends new business after they escaped this business. Photos with people who wrote positive reviews about his business followed immediately by writing a negative review on my friend’s business.
Ok... (how do I start this...?) Fanboys Marketplace is good..., but if youve never been there before you should keep your fanboy expectations very low before arriving (and hopefully this review will put you in the right place before arriving there).Lets get this out of the way first, this marketplace is basically an antique mall. Theres booths/spaces that people can rent and sell their products from (and boy, they have products).Youll find a wide selection of nerdy goods like fan art, Waifu pillowcases, vintage toys, tabletop games, comic books, vinyl stickers, cool stuff with skulls on them, a great booth with some funny Mexican inspired swag (my favorite part), local art, and even a very small arcade (where you can rent time with an Xbox it seems?). BUT...theres (for whatever reason) entire booths mixed in-between these products that have things that youd see at any antique shop your Mom or Grandmother would shop at which feels... not very fanboy-like.Were talking ordinary everyday costume jewelry, plain used baby clothes, stuff thats bedazzled and covered in animal prints, etc.If this place was called anything other than Fanboys (in a comic-like script BTW), I wouldnt think too much about this. But the name and logo of this place screams battleground for nerds to congregate and argue over who were the good guys in Star Wars (I feel it was the Empire, but thats my opinion). Not someplace that I visit with my Aunt to find her a nice handbag with sparkling Fleur De Lis accents on it.Im imagining that allowing booths like these were eventually an unforseen business decision by the owners as a means of survival. Plus a way to fill more of the enormous space they have to work with (which is less than half full when we visited) so Im not upset at whats going on; just confused really.Anyhow, I hope the best for the future of this location and maybe one day it can be the geeky hub Id love for it to be. But at this time, it just isnt, so go in with reduced expectations and youll likely enjoy visiting the store more with this information in mind.*** FYI, I think they hold some kind of tabletop/card game events and maybe even cons/signings/art shows here (which may explain the empty space, tables, and chairs). But I didnt see any future or regular events being promoted during our visit so Id look into this if you were interested (maybe check their social media).
My boyfriend and I love this place! Anyone who is a big collector of Funko Pops, this is a great place to go. Those complaining of pricing on Funkos must not collect them. Rare ones can be more expensive + cost of shipping. I have gotten some amazing ones and I feel like what I paid was more than fair! During the last year where there has been no conventions, this place has been so fun! Everyone is really nice and we will continue to support the business!
This place is a home to anyone that loves all things from pop culture, from geeky to gift idea!
Fanboys Marketplace’s vendors and managers are super sweet. Even though you dont plan on buying something, you’ll step out with something in your hand.!
I love this place. I was a little down though because there is a guy here who draws amazing pictures to sell and he wasnt there today. But other than that everyone is sweet.
Fell in love with this place today. I was able to buy some beautiful fan art for our game room. I definitely need to get the artist information. 😀
Incredible place for any pop culture fan. New stuff every week.
Fanboys is amazing, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is filled with over hundreds of selections of funko pops, comics and to anything anime related it’s absolutely my favorite store to go to.😄
Convention style collectible store with mostly overpriced merch you can find elsewhere cheaper.Edit: Love the owners passive aggressive remark about my review. Reinforces my opinion that theyre selling off their private collection.
When My sister first took me to this place I was sad and doubtful thinking that the prices might be too high. But, I got a surprise at the billing counter and now I can have a game collection from my pocket money with the help of these guys.
Lots of cool stuff, fun place to hang.
Went to go play Pop Bingo and had an amazing time! Super friendly staff and lots of unique items in the market!
Love the wide variety of collectibles and snacks the employees are wonderful to converse with
First time at Fanboys Marketplace and I loved it. Friendly staff asking if I need help. Place had lot of everything Funko Pops, comics, toys, Star Wars, DC, Marvel, handmade crafts, Anime artwork, and more. Please come and check them out. I will be back for more!
Lot of fun! Great people who run it
This is an antique mall for new stuff instead of old stuff;)
Amazing shop. Has a great variety of treasures!! They have something for EVERYONE from babies to grandmas you will find the perfect gift here! The owner Mike is super sweet and always helpful!
Still growing, but theres some good stuff here! Comics, anime stuff, pops!
Looks promising. As more vendors are added it will get better.
To be fair almost everything here was a pleasant experience would of given 5 stars if werent for the pricing of pokemon cards. The community has been hurting for over a year now and they charging more than scalpers!!!
Pretty neat place. It has several booths inside set up with different Fandom items. Not enough Doctor Who though for me.
Great place to find Pops. Tons of cool finds.
This place is the best gaming shops and pop culture shops Ive ever been in. Guess thats why it got named best toy store of the year by fort worth magazine.
I went here once so I’m not 100% how to rate it! A lot of the sellers were overpricing their items. Someone tried to sell me a Funko poo for $40 dollars when it originally sells for $10 and it’s available on Amazon and most figure shops online. There are a lot of things here but mostly handcrafted items and Funko pops. It’s definitely not a bad shop it’s just not for me! I just think they need to be more mindful of who they allow to sell and what it is they’re selling.Edit- They responded saying they dont regulate how their vendors sell their items. I knows this. Your business is quite literally vendors and such thats why my review was mainly about how the vendors sell their items. I understand how vendors sell things and what a collectors market is. Some of the vendors were selling dollar store journals that had printed images taped onto them for high prices. And the Funko pop in particular was one that is very easy to obtain so the dude was basically trying to overcharge me on purpose. Ive been to these types of things before so I understand how they work.
Always a new variety opf stuff, probably why I come here weekly
If you’re into anime figures, I would definitely come here they have a whole variety of them. Their not that expensive either.
Great place and really nice people. Anyone looking for cute gifts that are reasonable price pay a visit.
Awesome place with tons of all things geeky fanboy and fangirl stuff. Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek, anime, you name it! Easily spent over an hour here and could keep looking except Id be broke. 🤭 New favorite place for sure!
Just left Fanboys Marketplace and I was pleasantly surprised. I was thinking it was another comic book store and boy was I wrong! It was much more than that with tons of vendors selling everything from (you guessed it) comic books, vintage toys, tons of funko pops, some awesome pop culture prints as well as jewelry/boutique type things and some Quinceanera/prom style dresses. It was a great way to spend an half an hour, even more possibly, and see some awesome things at very reasonable prices. I will definitely be checking back there often for more unique things I can’t live without.
My family and I went here today and attempted to purchase a purple chaise for my 12 year old niece. We were helped by a sales associate and in the process of arranging the delivery fee so we could pay another sales associate sold it from under us. This rude older lady told us that unfortunately we did not remove the tag so she gave the sale away. We were clearly making the purchase and arranging delivery for over 20 minutes. She took advantage of the associate helping us to steal credit for a sale and blamed him for not enforcing the tag removal policy and said “well he doesn’t get paid to work here. He’s special needs”. Ridiculous and incredibly rude. He was very helpful and was just helping arrange delivery. We explained the situation to the manger and he took no accountability either. We left the store with 2 crying children.
Quite a cool marketplace with tons of variety!Plenty of vendors selling jewelry, pop culture items, anime figurines, independent clothing, you name it. Though I wish there were more vendors specializing in retro video games.
Great place
I was here yesterday picking up an order from Wish and apparently the vendor was not there. The number on the pickup email is not a working number. Another person who works there gave me a number to a person named Harvey. Can I please get my purchase from you guys? Its all I want.
No organizationLittle more than a poorly planned flea market with the same 5 stallsIn response to the owner: we were there sunday afternoon about 1pmWe werent greeted by the young man at the counter . Didnt see many of the vendors or employees wearing masks. Big file cabinets of $2 comicbooks. Several stalls selling old toys and funko pops. Some clothing. An old playstation store sign some one is selling for $2000. Need any more proof i was there. Your aggressive approach to negative reviews pretty much will guarantee a swift closing. You should look for ways to improve not make excuses or pass blameYou have potential to be a great store. Dont blow it.
Best comic book event organization. My son had a great time at the event!
Good store.
If you like to collect memorabilia this would be the place for you to go they are fairly new
Great place!!
Had so much fun taking my son back in Aug, 2018. He loved meeting batman, getting a balloon from deadpool and his favorite meeting and getting his photo with the most beautiful Elsa! Cant wait to go till the next one!
Super fun place to find fun items for everyone!
Neat shop for entrepreneurs!!!!
My son had a great time at the Hulen mall meeting Spider-Man!
Best little comic con in Texas
Went to their last show and cant wait for the next one. Fanboys is growing and will be huge!
Not many comics. More games than anything.
Edit: I forgive you, I didnt see a sign on the door, although it said to wear masks, otherwise I probably would have covered my face, but I thought the governor said that it is illegal to demand masks, so I am confused as to why you are reporting me but I choose to forgive and hope you have a blessed day fanboys Market
