This place needs to close. It is much more affected by supply issues than its civilian counterparts.Frequently used items are out of stock. Chicken and popular ice cream flavors are just a couple of items that are essentially out of stock on a semi-permanent basis.The military community is better served out on the local economy.

My first time shoping at the commissary since I was a kid and definitely since I got out of the military a decade ago. So nice to be in a grocery store that looks like its occupied by people that care about the work theyre doing.

The meat prices and quality are good. The hours are poor even for Active Duty. The 5% surcharge almost negates the benefit and prices. I can do just as well{and many times better} especially on non taxable items at my local grocery store. The meat and a few other items keep me coming on occasions, but generally it is not worth my drive and the hours do not allow me many opportunities to shop with my schedule. I do enjoy talking with most of the baggers, it is just not very accessible or competitive enough to come often.

Unfortunately, the days of lower prices at a military commissary are long gone. No more reward for a persons service time.The only reason to go to the commissary anymore is to buy meat and energy drinks. Everything is much better priced at Walmart. Not only do prices continue to go up... half the time the shelves remain empty and I stocked. Its a joke!!

Has a lot to for the military personnel and family members. A bit different from other Commissaries weve visited in the past. The deli is worth checking out and so is the rest of the store. The only disappointment is the distance to travel if youre driving from up the McKinney TX area. The maps on either system is misleading or not up to date.

Whose bright idea was it to close the commissary at 5 pm? Who gets off early enough to get all their shopping done by then? The hours make it impossible to use, not everyone has a stay at home spouse that can shop during the day!

Always a great shopping experience. Store has an inventory comparable to any other grocery, but the meat and produce are hard to beat. The employees are fast and friendly. Not sure if they have handicap scooter carts, but they do have half-size carts. Their baggers are at every check-out station also bring your items to your vehicle and load them for you.I think they have 2 express lanes and a self scan area. Plus there is a mini Navy Federal Credit Union branch in the store.

Good food for the family and friends. Best meat in town. Every thing you need or want. 🥰

The prices are going up but still good compared to other stores. The biggest problem is when they need to order more products that have been out of stock they almost never get them in again. Im not sure whats thr issue with that.

Tuesday midday to 5p, few people shopping. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Everyone wore masks. Will try to shop again at this time.

It sometimes has great deals or its a bit cheaper than civilian stores. But some staff members are not as friendly. But we all have bad days

They have a big selection of items, the produce section is so neat. The meat was great. Just an overall good experience.

This was my first visit since March due to covid. The meat department is always great. The reduced hours now make it virtually impossible for me to patronize the commissary now. Very disappointed in that.

I enjoy shopping at the commisary and exchange. The food is great and prices for the most part reasonable. Have a variety of foods. Choices are good. In the exchange shopping is great. So...much to choose from. Satisfied.

We do all our grocery shopping at the DECA Commissary. Have been shopping at the commissary for over 40 years. Love our commissary!!😄

This store has not been changed/upgraded since it was constructed. Selection is mediocre. You can find better produce at the 99 cent store.

Their prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish that had more product on the shelves.

As a retired service member it always great, however I did have allitle problem negotiating the self checkout. People around me seamed to have simerly the same problems.

This visit was very good. Everything was fairly clear aisles and well stocked. I was glad to have a great day and fast checkout!

Did not go into the Deca commissary. I was at the BXtra, buying spirits for New Years.

I was active duty for 21 years and visited may commissaries, both state side and overseas. I have to say that this is one of the nicest ones that I have seen. Sadly I live over an hour away and do not get to come here often.

I gave 4 stars due to the large size of the store and the amount of product on hand. I do feel the store is a bit outdated though.

Overall a great place to get groceries at a reasonable price. The self check out lane registers are just awful and need to be replaced. Nearly everytime I use them there is an issue and you need to get the help of the guy that really doesnt want to be there. The registers are just way too sensitive.

The lady at the register was really rude, throwing the merchandise on the line. She was upset because I was not fast enough bagging my items. Normally they have people bagging, but the person that was supposed to bad the items, had left with the customer before me.

Like shopping here because I like supporting the base. We were military for 24 years.

For a small installation, this commissary is adequately stocked. Great selection of meat, vegetables, and fruit. The delicatessen also has a nice variety of cold cuts, and cheeses. There is also an area that makes cold subs as well as hot subs, and various other sandwiches.

A wonderful place to shop. Very friendly and professional.

The store is good and usually very well stocked. My only issue here is that the gate at the entrance are so backed up and the East Gate never seems to be open. This has gotten to be very inconvenient.

It is SOOO SAD, that this commissary is open on Thanksgiving. These employees need to be with their families. If u dont have what u need by Wednesday, I guess you didnt need it or u should have planned better. WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING ALL ABOUT FAMILY? SO SAD😠😠😠😠

This place is AWESOME! Always clean & orderly, but what do you expect from a military grocery store. The only downfall is the produce section, although its not bad it could use improving. Me and my wife are licensed to carry and we hate that we are not able to on base, but we do feel safe while on the base as opposed to the Wild Wild West outside the gate.

Not the deals they used to have. Many items are quite a bit more expensive than local grocery stores. They still have great prices on most meats and frozen foods. It is best if you know what things cost elsewhere to know if you are getting a good price or not.

The commissary is in a decline. Some of the people are down rite rude they act like they are doing you a favor by acknowledging your existence. Some of them will simply walk away from you if you try to ask for help. The customer service has gone right out the window. Their selection is varied but there is a lot of empty shelves. Their real value is in meat their prices still cant be beat.

The store has a great selection many ethnic food. Great prices. I cant speak for the meat department, but I wish the produce was a little fresher.

So many choices! Thank you for carrying Pepperidge Farmhouse Oatmeal Bread - its our favorite bread and we cant find it anywhere else. Love the fresh veggies and meat, dairy - okay everything! Cashiers are always friendly too.

A great place to shop, depending on when you go the prices can be higher than normal. They are completive with local. Grocery stores.

Great grocery store, has everything you want. Awesome sandwiches and great sushi selection. Theyll even do made to order if you dont see what you want. Produce section was good and fresh.

I visited the commissary with a friend because I am a civilian. They have a great variety of merchandise like any other grocery store you go to in the city, but their prices are better. With some items, the prices are a lot better!. The problem is that you have to have military ID to get on the base to get into the commissary.

Good prices, but that’s about all I can say. Service at the register is awful with some of the cashiers. Bought some products that expired, literally the next day. I guess buyer beware!

I started coming here in 2006 when my daughter was 7 months old and 13 years later We still get the same welcoming it’s such a blessing to have I called everyone my extended family always smiling helpful caring polite caring staff thank you all for being such a wonderful blessing I have no family here but coming to the commissary you get that comfortable family feeling love them all thank you

Would of been 5 stars, but it was so hot in the commissary, my shirt was soaking wet when I finally left the store. I would go down the freezer aisle just to open the freezer and try to cool off.

Its not open to public unless you are accompanied by a member. The commissary has a lot of local and international products. Very clean and they also make special orders if you cant get what you need.

This location is very well stocked with groceries. And if you have served overseas there are products you may have fallen in love with.

This is one of the top 5 commissaries that Ive been to. Its has always been clean, and the staff is friendly and professional. The aisles and product have a decent flow, and it seems like they have extended hours because of the reserve and guard missions.

Good prices all around. Almost the least expensive good meat you can find. International section could use some expansion though.

Great I’m from LA getting ready for the holidays found everything except Guidrys or Louisiana Choice seasoning so I guess I have to chop up seasoning. Luv it, it’s one of the best commissaries with real friendly workers.
