Five stars, just for letting my son explore his musical side (thoroughly), alone. He will be taking music lessons, after football season.

I drove an hour to pick up some supplies here, as no one else in the Fort Worth area had what I needed in stock. The staff was all very friendly and patient even though I arrived near closing time. I enjoyed working with Trey, as he was very kind and courteous. I’d definitely recommend this location! It was worth the drive.

I’ve been going to these kind of shops since I was a kid. This was and still is my toy store. I noticed that people who work at these places are most likely connected to music beyond listening. With that being said, they’re artists and some say artists have a reputation for being difficult, I guess that thine line between perfectionist/problem? For me it boils down to personality. When I was a kid going into these shops who knew nothing about playing music but was curious, it meant a lot when a worker would not only help you, but engage and if you’re lucky maybe teach you a lick. That person wanted to be there. We listen to music to feel good and I think it should have that hit play on your favorite song feeling upon entry. This could make or break a kid wanting to pick up an instrument. The thing is we need them to create more music that makes people feel good. That’s an honest 4 stars. It’s very hard to find a five.⚠️🚩⚠️🚩⚠️🚩⚠️🚩⚠️🚩⚠️🚩⚠️🚩Update on my previous review and rating for this location. I’ve been to this location I’d say 4 times since my last review, and some other locations as well. Long story short, the staff here is the most disrespectful unmotivated staff I’ve ever encountered. I’m in the music business and this ain’t it. Avoid this location. This is the type of situation where they put themselves out of business not the Internet. I tried to support them but they’re not supporting themselves. Save yourself the trouble and go online to sites like Reverb, Sweetwater, etc… (ZERO STARS)⚠️

He made the experience enjoyable and made me feel like an insider in the world of guitars despite my ignorance. I will be buying more guitars once I get better and these blisters get some calluses!!

This guitar center is normally full but due to recent events with the economy and other issues with suppliers and guitar factories closing down their supplies are low.

Magical place for music lovers. Repairman has a great personality and gives mini-lessons along with repairs. I love going here.

They are carrying banjos and good prices on guitars I loved used stuff too. Wish holding on items was shorter for used things but besides that Im satisfied.

Do not go here if you are new or inexperienced. You are viewed more as a burden than a customer. Save time, money, and effort and order on Amazon. Will get the same level of service without the attitude.Case in point, I ordered online a left handed bass. Anyone who is left handed knows what a PITA it is to find left handed music equipment. So called up originally to ask if they had any in stock. Unfortunately no. Let them know I was looking to get into playing the bass. Told me to order online and have shipped to the store and they would “get it setup and right for me including tuning it and walking me thru it.” So I did. Had it shipped to the store.Gets to the store and ask for the package. Guy gets the box and (literally) drops it in front of me. I’m a bit confused so say “umm we want to look at this?” He just sighed, rolled his eyes, and said “fine”. When to get it out of the multiple boxes. For GC I will say they definitely pack it up good if it’s shipped (really the only positive of this entire review). Then he gets it out and hands to me like I am somehow disturbing his day. Asked if there is anything I need to do with it and he said “factory setup should be fine”. Asked what it would take for them to set it up and they said they can do it for $50. For that level of service should have just had it shipped to my house and would have gotten without having to go in.Wow. For that, screw it - I’m going to Amazon for that help. As a newbie to the music, real big “Thanks Guitar Center!” For making me feel welcome. Appreciate it. Think I will go elsewhere so someone that WANTS my business.

Never seen such a great selection of used and new guitars priced just right

Its easy to spend a lot of money here. I found a salesman that helped me figure out what I needed. He seemed sensitive to my budget and helped me get the best bang for my buck. Id buy gear here again.

Always so helpful. They helped my daughter pick the right strings for her guitar.

Went in for a trial lesson w Ryan. He was great. I just got call from John guitar I had dropped off to get refurbed is finished. Great bunch of people, nice atmosphere, Huge selection. And lessons available.

This is a fairly typical Guitar Center. The stock was a little low however. I hope that means they had a great weekend and sold ALOT of merch and NOT that they are reducing inventory in the first step to closing.

The guys here are pretty cool, and theyre pretty friendly. Good selection of beginner-mid tier acoustic guitars and high end guitars.

I have been inside a few times to purchase picks, strings, and music from them. As well as browse their inventory. Despite the hard times befallen on them due to covid, they have always been nice and helpful to me from the guitar repair guy to the sales rep.My most recent interaction I needed to return a strap a couple of times because I couldnt make up my mind. They were very understanding and allowed me to make the switch with no issues (the straps were in perfect unused condition)I am happy to do business with them again

As always, lots of people, too few attendants. Every time I speak to one. They are always condescending and impatient. I alwayse regret going there. Go to Music and Arts instead. Or just order online. Guitar Center blows.

I went in here looking for a specific Funko Pop that I didnt have, and even though they didnt have any in stock, the young man who assisted me looked them up on the company system and found one for me in Jackson MS, and had it shipped to me here at this store. He was so helpful & polite, and I really appreciate that.

I went to guitarcenter to buy a used dj item! At the time of paying they told me that the price was incorrect and they did not respect the price that the sign that they put said they gave me explanations and they did not sell me the item they should be more careful with that they made me waste my time and it led to a bad experience

Google says theyre open but really theyre closed and I needed a PA system for a wedding and now Im going to take my money somewhere else.

Ive only been to this location twice but they got a decent selection of guitars.

While I find some of the prices a little on the high side, the friendliness and knowledge the staff has, makes it totally worth the prices. I will make sure that I always go back to them.

I want to say thank you to Mike Rich for educating and giving my son a brief tutorial/lesson on how to play the drums. That was really nice of him showing patience and assisting us with a drum set. In the near future I look forward to purchasing a drum set. Thank you for your helpJohn

Very cool place to go. Grew up on Guitar Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful to my wife and I when looking for guitar strings and picks for our daughter. A little sad to see that it wasnt busy like the way it use to be back in the day. However, still a good place to go to get some musically gear.

Treated terrible by an employee there and told twice I was wrong on an item price that I was correct one. He got upset and shut door on me twice. Wont buy anything here again. Buy online elsewhere.

Its a well known music store. I drove to this location thinking it would be bigger since it was in a larger city and the store has a very open concept compared to other Guitar Centers but their inventory seemed very low on what was actual available in the store. They have a lot but not really in variety it felt. At least in my perspective when it came to the audio and mixers section it felt that way. Instrument wise they seem to have more in stock and a variety but besides that it felt very minimal. It resorted to lets check our online store while Im in a actual store. Maybe cus of covid but still. If I go to the store is to see the options there not online.

Man, really not much there. Bass section is bare. I play 6 string bass and there was barely a 5 string there. Nice place tho, could be waiting on a shipment too. Who knows. Staff were friendly.

Had a great time in there today. Big John who is either security or acting as one seeing as how hes probably the biggest dude in the store said I couldnt enter without a mask. I knew that beforehand due to checking the website but tried to enter anyways cause I thrive on conflict. So I put on a ski mask. I was told I needed to be escorted around by a sales rep, Michael, who I instantly called a nerd and the name stuck for rest of time I was there. He had glasses so I just assumed. The third guitar he showed me I knew was it so I made him play it. Anyways it was exactly what I wanted. John and Michael get 5 stars. Under different circumstances they would only get 4 but they kept cool today not knowing whether I was just messing with them or was actually being a difficult customer. Thank you so much. I will do more business there in the future.

I was in music retail for many years, specifically, I ran the drum and percussion division for a local chain.I hate to sound like a Karen, but the lack of customer assistance at this North Ft. Worth store was nothing short of egregious. I was interested in purchasing some high end items. No greeting at the door. No greeting period! I was in store for about 45 minutes. The associates stayed at the checkout island with their noses in their phones. I finally just grabbed a snare head and headed for checkout. I asked the young, sandy headed kid, What do you have to do to get some help around here? He very snidely replied, If you need help, ASK FOR IT. Had he been under my employee, hed have been fired immediately! I was simply astounded. A simple greeting is retail 101. I was really looking forward to some new gear. I left with nothing. GC get your act together.

In the store for 23 minutes without help or even acknowledgement from the one person there sitting next to someone playing a guitar the entire time. Even a hey - I will help you when I get a minute would have gone a LONG way for me and my son. A man who came in after us got helped from someone in the cashier area and that was the final straw for us.

Everything is clean, customers are wearing masking and sanitizing hands as they enter. Employees are wearing masks providing assistance as always, and did I mention some guitars are on SALE!

This location is convenient to northwest Fort Worth. While the store is smaller than some, it has character. The guitar techs are helpful and offered some good suggestions. This acoustic room is pretty small and felt snug with 4 people hanging out. However they have a very nice selection of guitars and helpful staff. We made 3 trips in one week for miscellanies gear and each time we were greeted like a regular. I appreciate the convenience and friendliness of the staff.

They were super great nice to let u play the guitar u wanted to play however long u want to and help u out n anyway those they could.

Went into the store Sunday looking for a beginners guitar I saw online but wanted to try it out in store. I was looking into a Taylor Academy for my first guitar, and unfortunately they didn’t have one in stock to try out. No biggie, but the guy in the acoustics chamber showed me a similar model by Taylor to give me a chance to feel it out and play a little bit (if you can call it that). Afterwards, I walked to the cash and bought the one online and the guy on cash helped me out recommending strings and picks (Elixirs and some Dunlop variety picks).There was no rush, no impatience, just an experienced musician helping a newbie out on his first guitar. If all goes well I’ll be happy to buy more Taylor’s down the road at Guitar Center. Thanks guys

My husband wanted to go in to look at some music equipment. When asked what he was looking for he was told it was out of stock. He said thats fine but he wanted to look around anyway... The guy at the door hesitated and then told him Ugh, we already have too many people in the store. Looked empty but my husband left. Why spend our hard-earned money in a store that would lie to keep someone out. Anything we want we can afford. Rude & unprofessional workers. Will never return to this location ever again.

Usually don’t have problems here but I went in there about a day ago to find a certain guitar and ended up playing one for fun. I put the guitar on the stand thinking it was fine I walked away and heard a thud and immediately went to pick it up and check on it, luckily it just went out of tune and had no damage. However. One of the store attendants came and told me I needed to be more careful which I completely get and I apologized, but he started to act condescending after the matter and even used the same guitar to play a song I was playing and felt as if he was trying to show he was superior. We’re all musicians we know to be careful and accidents happen there was no need for him to act like he had to show me up. Poor customer service.

That sweet, handsome young man with the kinda long black hair was very helpful last week when I came in! He walked up to me right away and greeted me asking me if I needed any help! I think his name started with a J? Wonderful service from him!

The online call center can be a huge pain, but this store always goes above and beyond for the customer. Been going here since it opened and Garrett in particular has always been the man when it comes to helping all my needs.*Edited 10/9/21*Still a great place overall and I won’t lower the star rating due to one employee, but the luthier that was there that set up my bass was kind of rude when I asked questions regarding the setup process. Changed the string gauge and wanted a proper setup and it’s far from it. Learned from my mistake and will take it to one of four luthiers all within a half hour drive within this location.

I love the staff here. I come in there all the time, at least 3 times a week just to play and have fun and theyre all so friendly. Definitely worth coming here, surprised they arent sick of me. Maybe they are sick of me, but theyd be damn good actors if they are

Must NOT recommended. They gave me a box full of trash whenever I ordered a digital piano saying that they forgot to remove it. Accordingly, I lost 2 hours of my weekend. Lastly, what it angered me the most was the fact that they announced to me to take the displayed one or you would have to wait.So, I would recommend you not to obtain any items from Guitar Center.

Best guitar buying experience

Went to the store to buy a guitar and was told to wait outside, thats fine... 5 people left and I was told I still needed to wait... I just left. Its their loss because I was planning on buying a Gibson and Ill just buy it online now.

You can demo just about any instrument that they offer, which is really nice whether youre looking for the right snare sound or your amp and guitar combination. They have a wide range of instruments and accessories including electric guitars (squire, fender, epiphone and more I cant remember) Amps for guitars, mics, drums, and basses, microphones, acoustic guitars, drums (including a huge cymbal lineup, snares, acoustic kits and electric kits), DJ stuff(dry I dont know what this includes), pianos and vinyls. Very nice workers as well as selection.

I was in store for 30 minutes and had to help myself.

We went in there looking for a youth guitar for my daughter and the manager was extremely rude! We asked about youth guitars and he said he had other things to take care of!!! Even the guy working the counter was not helpful in any way! We will never give them our business and we live down the road from this location! We will take our business to someone who deserves it.

I had been going to this guitar center since it first opened and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and keen in their knowledge of the arts and instruments. Recently I called to ask about an estimate for a repair on my bass. They gave me a reasonable estimate and I decided to use their repair services. When I arrived and talked to Tanner, he quickly found my issue and went to work immediately. Turns out it was just a wire that needed to be reattached. I asked what the cost would be and he turned down the payment offer. I insisted but again, he resisted payment. Thank you tanner, I know you didn’t have to do that but thank you. I will continue to give this Guitar Center my business for all of my musical needs.

I love this place. It wasnt very busy and the employees let me look around and play instead of shoving promotions and deals in my face. Very chill and organized pretty well I would say. Cashier was pretty nice and smiling. I would shop here again.

Very poor experience. Called ahead to confirm inventory and schedule. Drove from south of Fort Worth, and they closed the store for 90 minutes less than 2 hours after they had opened for lunch.

Seen better GC stores. Only accessible music store in area.
