Second time a charm!I needed a granite hearth put down, for a pellet stove to be installed, at a later date. Stoneworks delivered an absolute, perfect job.Eddie went over all of our choices, and fitted us, with a perfect slab, at an unbeatable price. He took his time, to make sure, we were positive on what we would like, versus what we were looking for.Although our job, was very small, he still gave us the time, and attention, we needed, in making sure everything was right. The install seemed to happen in a flash. Two fine men, came in, prepared the area, and y professionally installed our granite, making sure every detail was right, and also, making sure I was okay with the installation.Thank you all, at Stoneworks. I can not say enough, how, again, my wife and I are so happy!
We just had our mudroom and half bath tiled and the results are fabulous! We couldn’t be happier. We knew exactly what we wanted and Ed was very kind and helpful along the way! If one knows what to envision in their plan, then the process is seamless. If not, then do the homework involved in order to get the results you want. We’ll be back for one more floor install. Thank you to Ed and his fabulous tile expert!
Had a great experience going to Stoneworks! Eddie worked with my budget and got me a beautiful countertop that I absolutely love. I received a quote really fast and had the install done quick and easily. I am very satisfied.
I just had my kitchen counter tops replaced and added new tile backsplash. The final product looks great. The start to finish service was great. I would recommend this place to anyone!
I have now done two houses with Ed at Stoneworks, and I could not be happier with both the process and the results. Our projects have spanned almost every place where you can put stone: fireplace surround, slab floors, countertops, showers, backsplashes, you name it, I have probably done it, all with Eds expert help. Hes amazingly experienced, knowledgeable, charitable with his time and advice, and on top of that, reasonably priced. His employees are top notch, and have actually fixed the work of other tradesmen at my house. Stephanie, who mans the fabricating facility, is accessible, flexible, and kind. I highly recommend Stoneworks Inc in Framingham.
As a Designer I have worked with Stoneworks almost exclusively for the past 15years.They have always been consistent with service and fabrication of good. Both my clients and I have been very pleased with the service, process and products.Any issues that have arisen have been resolve with sensitivity and professionally.
As the owner of the Stoneworks co., my goal is to provide quality products and service.Since 1995 we have earned many satisfied customers, and are striving for more every day.We realize that we can not satisfy everyone, but we will continue to try.We invite you to see for yourself.
Bad experience. I dont recommend to anybody and be aware of the owners fake promises .too expensive, I would recommend to search at other stores.
Run, dont walk away from this guy Ed and his company Stoneworks. We too were fooled by his apparent experience and knowledge. We hired him to provide and install granite in 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. You would think that for a job this big he would have paid a little attention. This guy is a liar, a thief and a bum. The biggest piece (around a soaking tub) came with a crack in it. The crack ran from the top to the bottom of the piece. I first called and he tried to convince me that it was impossible as this type of granite does not crack and that this particular granite has a weathered look making it appear to be cracked when it is not. I double checked the crack and indeed you could rub your finger across it and you could feel the different heights on either side of the crack. I called him and insisted that he or someone from his company come and either fix it or replace it. He sent a man who acknowledged that it was cracked and filled the crack with some type of material and said that I would never notice it. My wife came home and the only thing she could see was the crack with a line of some type of glue. I then told him that he could come take a look at it and fix it or replace it or I would sue him for unfair and deceptive business practices (see Mass. consumer protection statute - Chapter 93A). He blew me off so I sent him a Chapter 93A letter and pointed out that if he does not refund the money for the bathroom that he may be liable for triple damages. He called groveling and offered to refund the money I spent in that bathroom because it would all have to be replaced to match. I sent him an agreement and 2 follow-up letters which he just blew off. I have 3 years to file suit and will likely due so on the last day possible. The only good thing I can say is that they had a big selection but it does not matter how good the selection is if they are going to deliver and install a cracked piece, lie to me about the uncrackable nature of this particular slice, fail to return calls and emails, lie about his willingness to pay and then blow it off completely. I intend to teach this bum a lesson but first want to caution anybody even thinking about doing business with him to go somewhere else. He should not be allowed to behave the way he has.Stephen Lander
Such a bad experience. Stay away. Tile is beautiful, price seemed reasonable (not cheap, just reasonable) but dealing with Ed (the owner or manager) on scheduling and post installation issues for two bathrooms was and continues to be a nightmare. For over 6 months Ive been trying to get him to come look at problems that were identified when the project wrapped up.Ive sent emails with pictures, called and spoken to Heather and Ed directly, as well as leaving voice mails. My husband has visited them at least 5 times in addition to calling. All in all we must have called or visited at least 10 times asking for someone to come take a look and tell us what’s wrong. Thats not even counting the emails and voicemails, just times weve actually spoken with Ed or Heather (note: both have left reviews for Stoneworks on this site and given themselves 5 stars). When we are able to speak to Ed about our complaints, he says hell send his guy out to take a look but that they are busy and we have to wait until there is a break in his schedule. Sounds reasonable, right? Well, its six months later we are still waiting (and calling, and visiting). This experience has been awful and I feel so taken advantage of by Ed specifically. He says one thing to me but does another, or worse does nothing. A review of the Better Business Bureau site shows that Im not the only one who feels this way. I have to say, he was very easy to work with when we were picking out tile and trying to decide what to buy and if we would do the job with him. Once we made the purchase though, he became non responsive for the most part and we kept having to chase him even to get a firm start date. That should have been a sign of things to come!
Abbreviated Version:Dont use Stoneworks. The owner, Eddy, comes across as a super nice guy, but hes a bit of a snake. If everything goes well, youll likely be okay. If *anything* goes wrong, youll likely spend weeks, if not months, trying to get it addressed. Seriously, save yourself the headache, go someplace else. We tried to be smart consumers by discussing our concerns with Stoneworks (some bad reviews) prior to selecting them, but it didnt matter, we were fooled just like most of the other people in the other reviews. Dont be fooled, use somebody else.We wouldnt recommend them and will never use them again.Details:There is a large backstory with many issues, but the biggest complaint we had was in regards to Customer Service, most evident in this issue. We bought our granite, backsplash & sink through Stoneworks. In regards to the bullnose: there was none ordered for the edges of the backsplash. Being fair: We never asked about it as we didnt know what it was. Is that on my wife and I? I suppose, but you go to a store like Stoneworks to help guide you through the process as not everyone has remodeled a kitchen - and Eddy never once asked if we needed any. We ordered the bull nose tile after our contractor asked where it was, and this is where Eddy really failed in our opinion. He first told us it should be in the following week. That came and went with no Bullnose Tile. The estimated delivery became another week away, and again that came and went with no tile. I waited a 2 full weeks after that, not bugging him at all and called then, 4 weeks after the order and was finally told: It just got delivered, come pick it up whenever. We were ecstatic, the final piece of our kitchen. 1 hour after that phone call I got an email from him (no call) basically saying Just kidding, its not in, Ill follow up when I have more information. I called 2 times over the next week, got his VM both times, no return call. I ended up going to another Tile store (Tile Plus More, in Natick - recommend them), I ordered the bullnose on a Friday, it was delivered to my home the following Tuesday. What took Eddy 4 weeks (And, still wasnt in at the time I finally cancelled (5 weeks) took this other company 4 days. Now, this didnt impact the functionality of the kitchen, but was a further delay and is ridiculous that 1) I had to deal with the run-around that Stoneworks gave us, and 2) I had to go to another company to actually fulfill the order.
