This place is AMAZING!!!! So many candy selections it overwhelmed me :)You can buy different sodas, .any selections per type - Big Red, root beers, fruity sodas and more.Ice cream is great too.I got the milkshakes and I their quality was high. Pumpkin and black cherry is a fantastic combo for a milkshake!!!My wife loved the milk peanuts - which is basically milk chocolate covered peanuts.Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!!

Ice cream was delicious!!!! Portions for the ice cream are very generous. We tried a variety of candies and chocolates and all were yummy. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. If I ever travel this way again Ill make it a point to stop here again.

Absolutely love this place...Love the uniqueness,love that it is vintage and in my hometown. A day at the park, with a short walk (about a block) to get our favorite Superman ice cream, and choose a cold glass bottled beverage, and of course try some of the older candies they have to choose from. Its like a walk into the past. You can also get a 4 or 6pk of mixed bottles to go....Route 66 Root beers, Dog n Suds, DADs Red cream soda...and so many more.

This store has all the candy and glass bottle drinks you can think of! They carry a lot of candy and drinks that most places dont carry anymore. They also have all the newest candy and some amazing ice cream! Best part is all the handmade truffles and chocolate and fudge they offer fresh everyday! Our family went to brown county for vacation from Howard county. Found this store. Great selection of nostalgia candy. Bought several things because I hadnt seen them since childhood. The $2.50 scoop of ice cream is well worth it. Generous helping and delicious flavors. Cute store and friendly staff.

I love this place, my family goes all the time. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly, and the shop has a wide selection of candy. While Hoosier Cupboard does have some ordinary, well-known candies, it also has many older or niche candies. And on top of the candy, Hoosier Cupboard also has ice cream and soda. The soda stocked is always unique, and some are even tailored to the adventurous. The ice cream is delicious, and with the addition of milkshakes recently, is one of the main reasons people are drawn to the shop. For the price, they give you a whole lot of ice cream, which is also a plus. While the flavors are always cycling, Ive found my favorite so far has been Bourbon Pecan.

Best ice cream and candy speciality shop!! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. We come as often as we can (which is not enough) and each time we have received the friendliest service. My boys love to come because of the train museum and the red caboose, in hopes of seeing a train pass while we enjoy our special treat. While we enjoy all the trains, its the ice cream that is the main highlight of this place. The ice cream is some of the best, creamy, hand scooped ice cream I have had and I love the unique flavors, such as elephant ear, in addition to the typical options. The ice cream is extremely affordable...other places would charge at least double. Also, the one scoop is more what you think a two scoop would be at other places... very generous sizes. The candy and soda selection is quite amazing as well. If you have a favorite, especially one from your childhood, I bet they have it. This store is almost like a step back in time and a wonderful experience. If you live in Franklin or are just passing through, you should definitely stop by this little store!

Their selection of nostalgic candy and pop is so fun! My real loyalty is to their truffles, however. If you’re in the mood for ice cream, theirs is delicious and they always have a new, seasonal flavor to try. Went here today with my family, and each of us had a huge scoop of ice cream for only a bit over $2.00 per scoop. It was a great deal; all of the flavors we tried were excellent. The atmosphere is really fun, too, with the old caboose parked just outside, and a nice little sitting area outside for when the weather is nice. Highly recommended!

We love stoping in every weekend to support this small business in Franklin. The reason I’m giving Hoosier Cupboard Candy a 3 star is their hospitality was down right unacceptable last weekend when my family stopped in to support their business. The my wife asked the gentleman at the cash registers how late they stayed open on the weekend during the Summer and his reply was rude and I quote “I refuse to be an Island”, as if we where a problem. This man, I believe to be the owner, was being held up from doing “more important” things that day. We have always loved our experience here. And will give it another shot with the hope that his presence and lack of customer service and rudeness will not be the norm.
