Not every super hero wears a cape lol. Tom has been awesome since the first time speaking with him on the phone up until getting my transmission repaired. He gave me peace of mind throughout the whole process, worked hard going back and fourth with the warranty company and ultimately got everything taken care of to benefit me as a customer. I fully recommend Tom and the crew if you need any work done on your vehicle. Will be returning soon with my other vehicle to have serviced with them. You have found a customer for life. I came in for a squeak on my car. I pulled into the Lot and a young woman came up to me and said “I’m not sure why you’re just parked here… you need to come in for service”I then went inside where the assistant manager wearing glasses asked me “hey boss what’s up? I told him I’m having a squeak on my car and was wondering if they could take a quick look at it” his reply: “well it won’t be a quick look” I said “ok then can you take a look at it?” He then proceeded to tell me they weren’t looking at anything until at least Tuesday. This was a Saturday.Obviously will be taking my vehicle elsewhere. Poor customer service.

They went over and beyond to get my car done that day. I brought my Toyota Sequoia in on April 30 about an hour before closing for a radiator replacement. I never would have thought they would stay a little a later to get it done. The manger was very professional and helpful and the mechanic came out to reassure me he will stay until it was done. I would have understood if he couldn’t but he wanted make sure I get my car back so I could travel the next day. They are great would highly recommend there service. Thanks again, Mike Scott

I went in for service I apparently did not need. They researched and explained to me what I needed to do. They ended up saving me hundreds of dollars. I’m new to town but I plan on using them in the future for any repairs/service I need. I very much appreciate their honest customer service. The mechanics here are awesome. Very customer oriented & didn’t give any problems. They were able to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle with little information. Their work here is very appreciated after coming from ntb down the street.

Tommy at Fredericktowne Auto went the extra mile for me and my family today. Fixed our car that was misfiring last minute so we weren’t left stranded. I’ve been using them for years and they are always courteous, professional, and fair. I love these guys! I’ve used a lot of shops in the area, some I’d never use again. But these guys are fantastic.

They were amazing. The service was excellent. The only reason I gave them four stars was that I wasnt expecting that bill, but they still gave me my military discount.

Honest Review** I visited this place 2-3 times. The guy that is always up front has great customer service. This shop correctly diagnosed two issues I had and they did not come back. However, the two problems I had with this shop was their prices were a little steep and they could not figure out why my oil was running out between oil changes. They charged me for a repair and told me that if the oil ran out again they could look at it again and go from there. No specifics. Just that. Of course the repair they completed did not fix the issue. I ended up having to take it to Honda for repair (they fixed it). This was my experience.

I have never been in a auto repair shop with such great customer service like Frederick Auto Repair. Thomas Seales and his team are amazing. Our transmission was acting up while on our way to go camping. We couldn’t have been any luckier with how Thomas took care of us. He got us in right away by meeting us in the parking lot as we pulled up. He made sure things were taken care of properly. He was able to multi task dealing with multiple customers while keeping a composed and friendly attitude. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Thank you again for taking care of us!

My car is still being worked on so I cant speak to quality of service at this time, but was so amazed by their customer service! Tom was so nice to talk to and helping me schedule a time to come in. Once there, everyone was friendly and they are doing well with safety (disinfecting) and called promptly to talk me through the issues with my car. Having a big issue with your car is stressful enough but they explained everything and understand the human part of this stress! Great staff :)

Great experience here. I got a good vibe when I took my car in for an estimate. Didnt feel like I was being overcharged or that they were recommending things I didnt really need. Work was done on time and at the agreed upon price. The 2 Thomass were so friendly and answered all my questions. I live about 20 miles away and there is a mechanic 8 minutes from my house but Fredericktowne Auto has gained a new customer and is well worth the drive.

I have used many auto repair shops in Frederick and I must say that Fredericktowne Auto Repair was not only the best priced but also the quickest. Not to mention how friendly everyone was. Special thanks to Chubbs for personally showing me the issues with my vehicle. I will definitely be coming back for all my auto repairs.

The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They had me out the door in no time.

Overall I like this place and will continue to go back. Last time I went the service was a bit sloppy they didnt bother to check the proper psi to fill the tires. The windshield wiper fluid they use freezes on the windshield when you use it during the winter.

Today was my first time at Fredericktown Auto Repair. The experience has been good so far, but they were unable to complete the work because they had to order parts. So far the customer service has been excellent and the Diagnostics appear to be spot-on. I will update this review once the services are completed with my final thoughts on price and quality of work.UPDATE: After all the service was completed and I had a chance to drive the car and test the quality of work and the functionality of my vehicle, I can honestly say that Fredericktown Auto Repair did an outstanding job. These guys are superb. Top of the line mechanics. Both the manager, Shane, and the asst manager, Larry, went out of their way to help us. We took my husbands car for repairs here twice, and my Mini is currently there. They arrange everything thru the warranty companies, including a rental car. Good place. There were two young men working there who are honest and hard-working. They helped me out evaluate a nail in my tire to see if it could be replaced or patched. I feel like they genuinely wanted to do what was best for me and my car not trying to turn a quick buck.

So my truck was making a weird noise didnt know what it was coming from so I took it in. About an hour later they told me the noise I was hearing was from the wheel bearing so they changed it and charged me $600 dollars for it which in my opinion is way over priced. So I jump in the truck and it started making the same noise it wasnt the wheel bearing it was the heat shield took them 2 minutes to fix it and I was still charged for the $600.

They put air in my tires for free when my car was vandalized. Fast reliable service treated me like family great people

Excellent experience. New to the state so had to find a new mechanic to take wife’s car. Always risky going to a new mechanic, but Tom and his team put my fears to rest. Entire staff was pleasant to deal with. Pricing was fair but, most importantly, they took the time to explain every step they were taking and what the potential outcomes/pricing would be. All you can ask from a good mechanic. Nothing worse than taking car to dealership service and them giving you a 1000$ bill for 5 things you didn’t even know needed fixing. Will definitely be returning.

My wife’s car broke down on a Thursday.Had it towed to Fredericktowne. They figured out what was the problem and replaced the fuel pump which is in the tank and not a small task to do. On the after replace test drive they heard a noise my wife had told me about a couple days earlier. It turned out to be a wheel bearing which was also replaced.Had the car back good to go at far less cost than a dealer woyld have charged.As usual the staff of Fredericktowne Auto Repair did an awesome job 👍👍👍

I just got home a few minutes ago, and didnt want to wait and put off this glowing review. So, it seems Ive been driving my 2010 base model Kia Soul around for a few months with essentially no rear brakes. I downshift, swear I didnt notice. Im a very loyal customer at the Lube Center on Jefferson, and have used Fredericktowne Auto Repair once before for a minor issue and was pleased. The guys at the shop are so kind, courteous and funny. They also understand when my budget is tight. I had called 3 places for estimates, they came in the middle, but I trust them.They were up-front about a potential a more costly issue that could arise, luckily, it didnt. Whew! I was in and out in less than 90 minutes at most. My car is safe and driving great. Best of all my end price was $50.00 less than what I was quoted!!! Which really helps, mortgage week. (Bonus coupon for the full inside and outside car wash and clean)I really respect the guys at this shop. They do what they say and then some, listen to your concerns and make getting car repairs a lot easier to handle. Ive read the reviews but it sure hasnt been my experience. I brought in a car that Ive had for 8 years and that had almost 188,000 miles on it. Knowing that Ive taken care of this vehicle I was surprised to hear the list of things wrong with it. But I did some research and it wasnt out of the realm of possibility. I checked with a couple other garages in the area and they were within 40.00 (one higher, one lower) of their estimate. What really got me was when they found out Id decided to donate the car to Kars 4 Kids, they waived the inspection fee. Then they allowed me to keep the car in the parking lot behind their shop for three days until it was towed away. And they took the keys and title and offered to give them to the driver when he came to tow the car. Thats small town goodness. Sorely lacking in these days. Thanks to Larry and Mike-------great to deal with you folks.

Our family was heading back from a vacation down south when our vehicle started to get really loud and sounded like a lawn mower. Ive been going here for years and have nothing but good things to say. Ive always been given an honest opinion of the initial costs based on what I describe as the issue; however, they still need to take a look to make sure what Im saying is actually the problem. Occasionally they find something else I may have overlooked but needed to be done. (i.e. I needed a broken stud removed and they noticed that a few of my lug nuts were stripped and needed replaced). However, Ive never been quoted for any additional repairs that werent actually needed.In short, if you want your vehicle to be repaired correctly, with friendly service, at a fair price... Id definitely recommend going here.

Told $2,000 to fix noise that was my transmission, went somewhere else, was actually a $15 axle bearing. Transmission was fine. Dealt with supervisor who told me not to question his certified technicians. Well Im glad I did otherwise wouldve put 2K down the drain. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE $ TO BURN!

Went into get my brakes done today after I was quoted a price at the lube place same company in my hometown of Gaithersburg the manager and this is the manager at the counter but told me that quote was incorrect it was no way that could be done so they called the other other store where I got the quote and they said that they did not include the labor so the cost that they quoted me was over $900 for four for brakes and four rotors when my original price I was going to do 750. for all four so I said Id like to get to done will that cost was 500 and some dollars and they had given me a $50 gift card that had expired on the back on 331 14 so it was just a ploy to get me to bring my car up to this store so I politely said thank you very much and left I went to somebody else I got my two front brakes done with new rotors new ceramic pads top-of-the-line for $293 so if you go to this place you be very careful because I dont think these guys are above board I dont think the company even checked on him because theres no way that there should be that much difference know whether to be that much difference between Rogers in our area and as a matter fact when I got it done it was in Wheaton for the burger for this company I would not recommend themto anyone!

I brought my 2007 Honda Civic to have AC evac/charge and appeared maybe compressor, would have cost over a thousand for compressor kit. The manager, Larry, was so friendly, courteous and professional on phone& at shop, explaining tests and possibilities. Vernon performed evac/charge but charge didnt hold. Robbie performed diagnostics & discovered was fuse relay which cost 1/5th to replace then if was compressor. I really appreciate their honesty and service. Well worth the drive from Germantown. And just in time before 80° weather. Thank you so much Robbie, Larry, and Vernon!

My check engine light came on and since they are next to the lube center I always go - I stopped by to see if they can tell me what is the code and if they could reset the light if possible. They told me that it is $99 and wont reset the code. I asked if they were joking (seriously I didnt know) as normally you pay $15 or sometimes nothing to have it done - but they kept saying that there is more to it than just checking the code. Eventually they told me the code for free but still refused to give me an estimate how much would it be to fix and refused to reset the code.I went to a nearby shop - where they charged me $30 to have everything done including reseting the code. They told me right away what it was and within 1 hour they send me an estimate to fix it. If you have money to burn - that might be the place for you - otherwise - stay away.

This place is price gouging at its finest. I was quoted 935.00 for a repair on a fuel line(lol) that was not needed whatsoever. I know cars but the scare tactics were on full display by the manager. I called and visited other shops and had quotes ranging from 250 to 500. When I brought up this quote from fredericktowne there were plenty of laughs by the other shop workers. Im pretty sure the good reviews are paid because the price gouging isnt even close to competitive. Avoid at all cost or do ate those wasted thousands to charity instead but do not go here.

Ive been taking my cars to the Lube Center for years and never had any complaints. Ive taken my car to Fredericktowne Auto Center a few times since they are a part of the Lube Center, thinking they would provide the same quality service. They are very nice there, and they have been helpful, but I had an experience with them that will prevent me from going here again. I had some easily noticeable transmission problems with my 2005 Accord, took it to FAC and they couldnt notice the problems. That alone raised my eyebrows. Mechanics are infamous for finding problems with cars, even when they are brought in for something else, and they couldnt even notice the problem I brought it in for. They recommended a fluid flush, saying that it should fix the transmission problem. If I didnt get the flush, it would be $50 for looking at the car -- even though they didnt find a problem. I said OK to the flush since I hadnt had a flush done in a while. When I picked it up, they said Oh yeah we noticed the transmission problem after we did the flush. So, $182 later, the problem still existed, and NOW they notice it. O...K... So I took the car back and told them I thought it was a torque converter problem after reading about the problems on line. They looked at the car and agreed and said I had to take it to a transmission shop. When I asked for a refund for the flush since it didnt fix the problem and they couldnt do the repairs in house, they said no. So I basically paid $182 for nothing. They kept trying to sell services like a flush when there was a REAL problem with the transmission, as if a flush would fix the problem, and they couldnt even do the transmission work anyway. A transmission specialist said that the whole transmission needed to be replaced, so we ended up trading in the car and bought a new one. So I dont think I will be back to FAC again. They may be able to flush transmission, do oil changes and change brake pads, but I would go elsewhere for major problems that require major work because theyll just sell their regularly scheduled maintenance services.

After having my vehicle damaged at the Fredericktowne AutoSpa I was directed to Rondale at the Fredericktowne Auto Repair. He was great to deal with. At the time I was extremely aggravated since my vehicle is only 6 months old and he did and said everything to try to make my day better. After looking at my vehicle he determined they would have to order the parts from the dealership. Between Rondale, Mike Allen and Shane they each called me with updates on the status of the parts. When the parts came in Bryan fixed my vehicle quickly and they did it at my convenience! Great Customer Service and Great Follow-Up!! Thank You!!

This place is a joke! Theyer just another big corporation out to rip off the next sucker. I went in for brakes, and they told me it would cost $1500! They said I needed all new tires, and all new rotors and pads, and some other bullcrap repair. I took it to two other places for estimates, and in the end, paid $550 for two new rotors and new pads.

Dont let the nice staff fool you, this place is a rip-off. They quoted me over $2,000 for a repair, which I thought was quite steep. I decided to get a second opinion at the shop I normally go to and I ended up saving hundreds of dollars. I showed my regular mechanic their quote, and he just looked at the bill and shook his head. I will never go back to The Fredericktowne Auto Repair again! I would give them a zero if I could. I wont even go to their sister business The Lube Center anymore because they are always trying to upsell me something. I think this company tries to take advantage of people and does not implemnet honest business practices. DONT GO HERE!ll
