Im not from here and this is the first time Ive been to Woodard Automotive. If you are from this area or from out of town I would recommend this Auto repair shop. I met Lori and dealt with her. I found her to be very understanding. Trust me, I was in a bad spot. I was worried the repairs would be more than the value of my vehicle. I no longer have that problem and now have new front rotors and front brake pads. I dont believe I would have gotten any better and possibly not as good a price and service from my hometown of 30+ years. Thank you Woodard Automotive. You got an old stranger out of a serious jam. Great place! I own a Saab and couldnt find a shop willing to take it on and they did! They figured out one major problem that two other shops couldnt figure out and when unexpected problems arose I was promptly called and had all options discussed with me. Their prices are fair and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be taking my car and my wifes car there in the future.

I have had oil changes, inspections, and wheel alignments completed at Woodard Automotive, and they are always fair and professional. I recently purchased new tires and was told that my vehicles rear brakes needed to be replaced. I contacted Woodards and dropped my car off, expecting to have the vehicle brakes replaced. I got a call from Lori, who stated that the front and rear brakes were inspected and did not need to be replaced. Lori also explained to me the amount of available brake life left on the front and rear pads. I always admired their professionalism, but I now admire their honesty too! I WILL be going back and spreading the word about Woodard Automotive.

Great service and people. I have used Woodard for my F350 after others failed to understand my diesel truck. I am embarrassed I fail to be able to list their names even though they recognize me and my truck. Today they gave the extra effort when I showed up at their time of closing. The mechanic identified the foul noise was my bearings and stayed late to repair my truck. Awesome people. Their manager (lady at the front desk) is very on top of things since it was her suggestions with prior repairs to replace the Ford lock out hubs with a better brand which saved me now. She had also advised with a prior break repair higher performance rotors which again saved me today. Smart lady - very intelligent. Repair costs where much less than if I had used Pervis Ford which had not been able to offer the upgrades. Awesome people!!

Woodard Automotive customer service is exceptional. They go out of their way to provide reasonable prices, transportation within reason, and in some cases free use of a vehicle. Oh, they do great work!

Andy installed an Eaton TrueTrac in my 2017 Ford Transit XLT350 van. I couldnt be happier with the quality of work, the customer interaction, the timeliness of the work, and how I was kept completely informed of how the work was progressing. There are numerous details about this install that must be done correctly. I was aware of them before I inquired if Woodward Automotive could to the work. In my initial conversation with Andy, he mentioned all of these details without any prompting from me. When I got my van back, the differential was totally quiet. This was one indication to me that the install was done correctly. I had read in a Ford Transit user forum about other experiences having an Eaton TrueTrac installed who didnt have as positive experience with their install as I did with mine. Some had done the install themselves and some had it done at their local shop. The result I received from Andy and Woodward Automotive couldnt have been better. It says to me that you can have them do whatever work you need done and you will end up being satisfied with the result.

You wont find more honest mechanics! I just moved to another city and I wish I could still take my vehicles to them. The owners are wonderful people, and great to chat with. I appreciate all you guys did for me! Ill still refer any friends in Fredericksburg there in a heartbeat!

I have used Woodard Automotive many times; in fact, I drive from the Holly Grove area in Louisa County - about an hour drive - just to come here and I will continue. Today I had a State Inspection done and I asked them to check for a blown fuse for the cigarette lighter/accessory port, which they did and replaced for no charge! Andy and his wife Lori run this shop and are not only incredibly nice folks, they are honest as the day is long. An honest mechanic is often hard to find and as a woman, I have been bamboozelled more than once by mechanics who bet on the fact that I did not know anything about cars to wring a few (or many!) extra dollars out of me, but I know that wont happen at Woodards!

By far the best run shop I have been to. Inside the waiting area is clean, well decorated, smells great. Laurie ( sp) I think her name is- makes you feel like family. My kids were very comfortable there. The techs are great, knowledgeable- quality work. I will be bringing all my cars here.They go above and beyond, literally!!Couldn’t have done it better if I worked there myself! High standards, it was a great experience.Thank you guys so much!!!!!

I was traveling when my a/c stopped working. This was the closest place to me. They charged me $1045 to evacuate & recharge the a/c system & to replace the compressor. Not even a year later, the compressor has stopped working and, conveniently for them, I am just outside of my warranty by a few miles so the response Im getting from them is very lackluster. The woman at the shop actually said well I didnt make the compressor. I honestly feel that as a solo female traveler, I was taken advantage of by this shop. I wish I could give negative stars for the simple fact that I literally wasted over $1000 here. I could have taken my vehicle to a big name shop & been covered.

From the time I dropped my vehicle off I was updated every step of the way. I was quoted over $3000.00 by a franchise shop for repairs that was done by Woodard auto for a 1/3 of that quote. Very professional and friendly service. I found a new go to mechanic for all my vehicles !

Trustworthy mechanics. Friendly and knowledgeable service writer. The best wheel alignments I have ever gotten. This shop has a modern, high-end Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment machine. Their alignments are so reasonably priced and they have always been right the first time, and I am incredibly picky. I am hard to please and I recommend this shop.

Totally recommend this place, my family and I were traveling down south and our vehicle was overheating. they diagnosed the problem and topped off coolant with no charge. Very honest. Thank you again for the great service.

Excellent work, done quickly, at reasonable cost. I had a check engine light on and when I had the codes read by someone else it sounded really bad. The Woodard team diagnosed my problem, recommended a simple fix, made the repair and I was on my way.

Best service I ever got from a mechanic. Andy knows his stuff and caught issues with my car that even the dealership didn’t catch. To add to it, I work weird hours for work and the shop works with you. Today I was getting a sensor replaced and they drove my car to my home when finished saving me from walking or booking a taxi. Can’t ask for better service.

They did great. Had my van towed down on Saturday, got an estimate done Monday morning and fixed by 330 that afternoon. Final tally actually a little lower than the estimate. Great job.

This was my second visit and just like the first it was fast and friendly. Local coupons drove me into the shop but customer service compiled me to review. I definitely recommend these guys. Usually when you walk into a shop for inspection they try to up sale services and repairs to offset having to do inspections. That’s not the case here and I appreciate honest people.Branden

Andy and Lori are great. Go here. I happened upon them after dealing with a check engine light for 6 months and several mechanics including the Dodge Dealership. No one could fix the problem. They assured me they could. They fixed it in a day. When the light came back on due to a non OEM part they took it right back in and installed an OEM part at no cost. I offered to pay them the difference in cost because they were only trying to save me money with the aftermarket part but they wouldnt accept it. They are honest, fair, and very reasonable.

Two days after my boyfriend and I started financing a car, the check engine light came on and our hearts sank. We couldn’t take it back to the dealer because he had already told me twice over the phone it “wasn’t his responsibility anymore” and we were feeling very disheartened.We took our car to AutoZone to have the dash thing checked for a code. They told us the code said it was the air intake hose, but we’d have to take it to an actual mechanic to get it hooked up to a computer and actually diagnosed.That’s where Woodards comes in. I called, as my boyfriend was driving, and explained the situation and asked how much their computer diagnostics thing would cost. The very nice woman who answered the phone said their diagnostics testing is $99, and to be prepared because a lot of the time when the air intake hose code comes up, it means something else.We really didn’t have $99 to spend, but we said screw it because we sincerely need a working car.. which is why we bought it to begin with. Little did we know how the next few days would pan out.We ended up taking it to Woodards and they did their test and the kind lady said ironically, it IS just the air intake hose and she didn’t even charge us for the $99 because it was what AutoZone said. She mentioned that her mechanic that looked at the car also thought it sounded like our alternators bearing was going.So great. I’m just immediately crying because we JUST got this car and literally two days later we’re having to shell out almost $750 to get it fixed. Really sucked.We immediately had the money to get the air intake hose fixed, so Woodards ordered the part for us and the next day we went and did that. The owner again mentioned the alternator and we said we’d try to come up with the money over the weekend.It took us over the weekend to come up with $500 and today on Monday my boyfriend went to get it fixed. I was very ill so I couldn’t go. But when he came home and I road in the car..Guys, it’s like a brand new car. The sounds it was making, it isn’t making anymore. It’s riding and driving so much better. Woodards knows their car stuff. They really do.My boyfriend and I will be forever taking our little white Chevy back to Woodards for all of our car needs. Thank you guys so so much for being so transparent and fixing everything that was actually wrong with it. We don’t know how to thank you.It sucks so much that the dealer sold us a broken car, but we’re just so thankful to have found a trustworthy mechanic and very down to earth, caring people to trust our car with.If you need a mechanic and are in or around the Fredericksburg area - go here!!!
