We hired AODC of Fxbg to replace our garage doors because of excellent reviews from neighbors. Unfortunately, it seems their business may be having trouble. Despite being told our doors would be delivered mid-January, weve learned they were never ordered. We got a call last week (March 17, 2020) to schedule installation at 9am on March 22 because the doors had arrived. We were thrilled! Unfortunately, we got a call at 9:05 on the 22nd saying that the doors would not be installed because they could not be found. I was told I would receive a call back when the situation was figured out. No one called, so I called this afternoon and was impatiently told that the doors were never delivered to the Fredericksburg location and would have to be reordered. Despite the stellar reviews, any prospective customers should proceed with caution. Hopefully our situation is a one-time mishap, but based on how its being handled, Im not confident.

I made a call to Patty / C.S. rep to schedule a Liftmaster door remote problem issue fix - she worked my appt. in quickly! I was treated to Mr. Charles, who is a 36 yr. Veteran staff member of this company who is also the nicest guy I have met, in many many moons. Charles is an expert staff member with a wide range of knowledge on these various door systems and electronics - he diagnosed the problem with the failed remote, fixed it quickly - then performed much needed & neglected service on my garage 2 door system - who knew they had to be maintained, almost like a car. This company is on the ball and I highly recommend them - Fred Howe, Fredericksburg

I called the company on January 15, 2019 after 4 pm because the garage door wouldnt close due to a broken cable. The technician, Jeff, showed up today before the scheduled tume and fixed it. Jeff was professional, courteous and able to answer questions concerning the operation and maintenance of the door. Yes, I would recommend this company to those looking to purchase a garage door or need a door repaired.

Within 15 minutes of Jeff arriving, he had repaired the garage door and was ready to leave. He was professional and courteous and had a good knowledge of the garage door workings. Weve always used them and will continue to do so.

I called and they sent a tech out the next day. I was at work and my wife let him in to fix the door. He told her that some of the work shop stuff was in the way and he didnt have the spring to fix it and had to order it. He also told her that I would need to present for the repair. Not sure why I need to be there. Close to a week goes by and we hear nothing from them and the door is still broken. Finally call after a week and the front desk seems to know nothing about the order and that the job was not completed. She says shell call me back after she looks into it. Three hours later she calls and claims they dont have the spring and its on back order from the factory (something a a shortage on steel), says itll be about a week till they get the spring. That was on a Thursday. Monday called Overhead Garage Company of Fredricksburg and they said they would have someone there that day. Tech shows up, looks at the spring, removes the spring then walks over to his truck and comes back with the right springs. An hour later he has replace both springs and my garage door works again. Tech tells me there is nothing special about the springs cause they are fairly standard extension spring and any good tech should have them on their truck. Not really expecting to hear back from Automatic Overhead Door Company.

I am a do it yourselfer. I needed a torsion spring and new cables. They not only did everything they could to get me the spring (they did) but made sure I got proper sized cables, as they felt original were too thin (original snapped when spring broke). Also, offered lots of advice on what to do and how. New spring is on, door works better than ever and now we can park in garage again for a fair cost.

They were recommended to me, and I found out why. Excellent service. Fixed my garage door spring quickly and at a great price. Thank you!

I’ve used AOD twice over the last couple of years and will always make them my go to for garage door needs. Both times, the person who answered the phone was so kind and helpful. She was able to get someone to my house quickly and to accommodate my difficult schedule. Kirk showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. Then gave me repair options to consider with no pressure to choose the more expensive( but still very reasonable) permanent solution. He was prepared with everything thing necessary regardless of which option I chose. And to my surprise, he called me the next day (a Saturday!) to ensure all was well with the door. Highly recommend.

I called automatic overhead door company to replace my torsion spring on my garage door. The serviceman (I think his name was Kyle) was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and quick. He didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need and was in and out in under an hour. I expected to pay $200+ for the job but it was only $148 total. I am very happy with the service I received, and would recommend to anyone that has a similar problem. Good job!

Went in to get a set of replacement springs. Everyone was very helpful from the time I made my first call to the moment I left with the parts. Very helpful and informed employees. They even have me their card and said dont hesitate to call for any questions whatsoever since I was replacing the springs myself. Definitely recommend them.

I had a new garage door installed two yrs ago by Automatic Door Co. We discovered two 2x4 dents in the door. I called to see what kind of recourse we have in fixing the door. Gary, who I spoke to, was frankly an idiot on the phone. He basically said rudely, Call an auto body shop to have them fix it. When I said I cannot be the first person this has happened to, he was simply dumbfounded on what to do. In the end, I did my own research online on what to do. Let me say, there is a ton of information out there on ideas. Yet, he had nothing to say! This guy was a jerk!

Never had to call them back when they did their work and they were always fair I would give them five stars

I gave them a simple job to add on weather stripping to the bottom of about 3 doors. On monday they told me they had the parts in and theyd be installed Thursday. It is now friday and they havent even been to the site to look at the job.Wont ever work with them again, unreliable and unprofessional. I dont take well to people that lie to me when I could have found someone else to go out and complete the job on Tuesday at the latest.

Very rude. Asked them to move their vehicle so I can continue MY work and was met with attitude. Basic customer service from the field is seriously lacking!
