This is a great park and terrific for family outings... Lots of activities for the young and nice walking routes around the park for the rest of us. Only a few minutes to Freeport (L L Bean, outlet mall, great food) and about 25 to Portland. Cedar Haven is definitely on our list of return sites. Dont pass it up!

Cedar Haven was one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. As some have mentioned, we don’t have kids but this is definitely a kid/family friendly park with a playground, game room, basketball court, volleyball court, etc. We were there in October so the colors of the trees were gorgeous! The bathrooms and showers were kept clean. The dish washing station and dog washing station were a nice unique touch. The lots weren’t huge but not terribly close to each other - we had plenty of space for our two slide outs and awning. Wi-fi was basically useless, as is the case in most campgrounds, but cell service was really good. We have Verizon and we consistently had 3-4 bars of LTE. Very friendly staff and beautiful campground all around, would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!

We were here when the leaves were falling so it was too cold to use the swings by the pond or the free kayaks. Its a very kid-friendly park with a playground and toys to be used. Also hot showers, reasonable rates, and lots of unique sculptures.

Stayed for a long weekend. Perfect if you plan on spending your time siteseeing. Beautiful campground. Super clean and very quiet. The paddle boats and kayak were nice, but really not much to do at the campground itself. No place for swimming. If you want to have a place to stay while spending the day on the town. Minutes from the center of freeport. 25 minutes to Portland. Our site was a little tight for our 37 ft travel trailer, but with the extra sewer hose we made it work. Very quiet pleasant stay.

Incredible accommodations and amenities, very clean and well kept, grounds are quiet at night yet active during daytime. They stock plenty of firewood, ice and other things you’ll need in their general store. Cabins are even equipped with AC for hot summers and wood stoves for cold autumn/winters. Great location Only 20 minutes to the ocean and 20 minutes to Portland!

Such a great spot! If you have kids this is a great place to bring them. The playground was huge had so many fun things to play on. There are basketball court & a volleyball court, a bunch of bikes/ scooters to borrow as well as a small pond to use their(free) peddleboats & kayaks. We stayed in a site directly across from the playground. It was close enough that we could be at our site and always see our kids. When booking just make sure you find out the site size. Our camper fit in our spot but the sites seem to be a bit narrow. Before we left we found other sites that would be a better fit! If you dont have slide outs or a large trailer it wouldnt be an issue. We cant wait to go back!!

My dad and I had a wonderful time when we we here last July! The site is very nice and the cabins were so beautiful and quaint. The greatest part was definitely Rodney the manager, who was so welcoming and kind. He actually stayed late the night we rode in because we got in so late. A very personable man who definitely enhanced our experience. My dad and I had ridden our motorcycles up from NJ and Rodney had some great suggestions for routes around that area!

Nice campground well maintained. Separate 30 and 50 amp sites full hookups. The campground is a little tight for big rigs mine is a 35ft. There are some moderate sized sites but most are small. Good shade at most sites and some family activities. A nice touch is the dog wash. All campsites have a small fire a pit and they do supply firewood for a fair price. Camping is a little pricey at $59 dollars a night. They do take reservations paid in full, closed on Saturday. Just a couple miles from Freeport.

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. The site we had (site was in the back of the park) was level but like most sites in this area it lacked gravel on the dirt pad. Our satellite did not work here (to many large trees to get reception). If you are looking for a quiet and clean park where you can sit outside and relax… go here. However, if you have a large coach stay in the front of the park, next to the office (in that area the pads are gravel). If you have a dog there is ample area to walk. We enjoyed our stay, and would go back.

Friendly and clean campground. We stayed at a tent site. Covered outdoor electric and sink just steps away. Pond, playground, basketball, and playground for small children. Ice and firewood are very reasonably priced. Firewood can be brought to your campsite. My only criticism is that owners should enforce quiet hours. A group showed up at 11pm and were VERY NOISY and even hollered out to each other. Its really too bad people refuse to be respectful of others. However, owners need to drive around to ensure rules are being observed.

We were definitely mislead by the website and reviews for this campground. Based on the website description of 10 spacious secluded tent sites, we reserved one, only to find that the tent sites were very close together and backed right up to a neighborhood, and our site was not level. All of the other sites seemed right on top of each other too, and the lake/pond pictured online was barely larger than a drainage pond. Our campsite was clean and the porta potty was okay. Since we were just crashing for the night, it was acceptable but more than we would have liked to pay for the accommodations we received. If we would have been planning on spending any amount of time at camp, we would have been very disappointed.

AWESOME CAMPGROUND! Beautiful forest like setting, quiet and close enough to explore many places and activities Maine has to offer. The park managers, Rodney and Edwina and their family, go out of their way to assure that your stay is marvelous! Ted, the owner, is onsite frequently, and doing the same. Dont miss Thursday night pizza night for tasty homemade pizzas. Last, but not least, dont stop without sharing some love with Cooper, doggie manager at Cedar Haven! It has been a marvelous experience for us and we hope to be able to visit again!

The overall campground experience was great. It was quiet, clean and had a lot packed into the campground acreage. The one bathhouse was clean and well lit. The attached shower was also updated and appears somewhat new. One negative was the site we were at #4 and adjacent site #5,#6 either not designed well or were setup to squeeze ever dollar out of the sites. I am hoping it is just that it wasnt designed well because the proximity of the septic hose to our sites picnic table was just plain disgusting (see picture). We tried it for one meal but you cant avoid the smell so close to table area (which had no other place to go).One other small negative is that the office is not open at all on Saturday. The overall great upkeep and location to both Brunswick and Freeport still makes this a 4 star campground.
