The staff and doctor were friendly and professional, and the exam was quick. The doctor easily accommodated a testing change I requested, as well.

I really like Dr. Anderson, he explains everything as we proceed through the appointment. The staff is wonderful, they help in every way possible and also explain the process regarding insurance, discounts and payments.

My local Shopko in Freeport Illinois is the best. I broke my glasses and I thought they were unrepairable. And when I walked in the wonderful salesperson saw my face and asked. How can she help? I showed her my glasses waiting for her to say we need to schedule an appointment. And before I can explain what happened. She said I can fix that I almost leaped in her arms because I thought for sure no hope no way. Five minutes later I am walking out of my local Freeport Illinois glasses fixed. THIS IS THE BEST IN THE AREA.

Awesome customer service! I went to a place in Byron, Illinois where I thought they were price gouging (i had to spend $1200 for contacts, and I wouldnt find anyone cheaper....yeah okay, not.) I was a little skeptical since this is kind of a chain optical place, boy was I wrong! Not only are they open on Saturdays, he took the time to tell me why my current lenses are okay, but not really the best and recommended monthly which I had before so it wasnt an issue. Also while I was there, a patient needed a surgical procedure done and this doctor was calling people in the area to try to get it scheduled that day, and because it was a Saturday, no one was answering but he really cares about his patients, his staff are amazing, I never once felt like I wasnt being heard. They did not have my trial lenses so they are ordering and should be there within the week. Go to this place!! You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Anderson was very thorough. In my almost 50 years of wearing glasses, Ive never had an optometrist explain things the way he did.The staff was extremely helpful & informative, plus extremely kind.Love my new glasses, able to see things clearer again!Thanks Shopko optical

They got me in right before my appointment time and were very efficient with my time. The Dr. seems very wise and experienced and took his time to explain everything to me. The other workers were also very helpful. Their satisfaction and warranty policies are excellent.

I first went in for X-rays with Katie and then while I was waiting for the eye exam, I picked out my glasses. The glasses were very affordable. I bought 2 pairs and saved over 400 dollars. New location is great. Dr is friendly and explains things so you can understand. The staff is friendly and very helpful.Katie was amazing. She def knows her job. She helped me pick out 2 pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. She has an eye for what will look good on you.This was the fastest I have ever found new glasses, it usually takes so long to find what you like and decide which ones.I also like the convenience to stop in if you need a quick adjustment of your glasses, or new nose pads; theyre always ready to help with whatever you need.

Dr Anderson is very thorough about explaining my exam. I also like the fact that they are not pushy about buying fancy frames or extras I dont really need.

First time going there and what a poor experience. Arrive and i am told the doctor on staff is new and we cannot bill insurance. I would have to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed from my insurance company possibly. Then was told i could call my insurance company and see if they reimburse and schedule an appt at a later date. Poor customer service all around and i should have received a phone call telling me this information prior to me driving in and waisting my time. Will never go back or refer.

Dr. Anderson is an excellent doctor! I went in for routine eye exam and he discovered something he was concerned about. He immediately made an appointment with Houser Ross in Rockford for a retinal specialist to see me. The very next day the specialist sent me to a Dr at the Eye Station with UW hospital. Turns out I had Choroidal Melanoma.
