This place is awesome!! Freshest cuts of meat, huge selection of locally grown foods, a full deli bar and freshly made subs, pizza, and about everything else you can think of! Great parking and beautiful building...you cant beat this place!!

A nice neighborhood grocery store with a great meat department. Items are a bit pricey for the average everyday products. Theres somethings you would agree to pay more. They are always busy and seem to cater to folks with high incomes or the elderly.

Great little grocery store, everything you need and nothing you dont. Awesome selection as far as healthy alternatives are concerned. Meatless options for those who seek them. Local produce, farm yogurt, etc. Open early in the morning on Sundays, helped us a great deal!

I go to Bow Street a few times a week to pick up lunch. I really like the pre-made foods and there’s a great selection of groceries. However! Every time I’ve gone in this month I’ve been nearly run into by employees who then wait for me to move instead of moving out of my way. I probably sound entitled here, but I’m a small young woman and it truly makes me less likely to go in.

This is an excellent market. Meat department is amazing. Beer section has many different selections to choose from. Highly recommend.

Specialty grocery store with some neat items not found elsewhere. (My husband found his favorite hot sauce which he typically buys online bc he can’t find it in stores.)The employees are really friendly and helpful and they have a section where you can order sandwiches and salads.

Second time trying to get asandwich.First time was a order for roast beef,ended up with Turkey./Second time next week was a roast beef with mayo(heavy on the mayo)raw onion.A drip of mayo,No onion,salt and pepper.Please take time to serve the customer.

Huge selection of name brand goods as well as exquisite local Maine offerings across nearly every category. Deli, butcher, and bakery are all eye popping, and the beer selection is phenomenal. Friendly staff and smiling faces round out a pleasant experience and my new go-to when Im in town.

The most amazing grocery store Ive ever been to. Lots of selection and every item you need. Great selection in the deli, butcher, seafood sections especially. They have a wide variety of local, craft beer to choose from and their walk-in freezer houses even more. We loved the maple-bacon ice cream we purchased - wish we got more. Well be back next time in Freeport area.

Best of the best in every category and department. Whenever possible they use fresh produce, meat, seafood just to name a few. Besides the bread aisle, they have locally baked bread/baguette. Bow Street is always partnering with as many local farms and business to stock shelves with only the freshest goods.This would have been 5 star if I didnt have small stroke at my total grocery bill. Have a ton of overpriced everyday essentials that are priced well above the norm it forces me to make two trips; one to Bow Street and other to shaws to do family grocery run.In the end there are so so many yummy incredible good items prepared from scratch every day at Bow Street that Ill gladly make the extra trip.Ever person Ive interacted with has been pleasant, engaged, and professional. This was not how the staff came across about 6 or 8 months ago. Current staff rocks!P.S. whoever is the baker that creates those amazing single buy cookies like lemon shortbread and peanut butter cookies is my family hero!! Best cookies ever!!! And..prretty please can you bake some of those single serving cupcakes with the buttercream frosting?!? I got one as a gift a while ago as well as one for my kids and I to share. So incredible and perfect that the cupcake I was gifting almost didnt make it to my friend! Can I order cupcakes by the dozen here? I will be asking my next trip there. 😊

Friendly and quick service with people not self checkout

We purchased the Valentine Day’s dinner box which came with scallops, bacon wrapped tenderloin steaks, roasted green beans, small loaf of artisan bread and a chocolate ganache freshly baked cake.The directions for preparation were spot on and the dinner was excellent. Scallops were sweet and tender. The tenderloin was perfect. The garlic roasted green beans were tender and flavorful.The cake was moist and tender. All in all a delicious dinner. We chose to reserve the bread for another meal.Very good value!

Really, really nice local store. Not your typical independent town market. Very high end. Exceptional meats and a very expansive liquor and wine selection. If you cant find out you dont need it when it comes to wines liquor and apertifs.

Every time were in Freeport, we shop at Bow Street Market. ❤️ their To Go menu. I always order the spicy pepper jack cheese burger, and it never disappoints. In my opinion, BEST BURGER EVER!

Make the drive 🚗 a couple times a year they have the best meats and glass bottle milk.

Typically, I love and frequent this place. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. During the Covid times, the store is overly crowded. Seemingly too many people are allowed in the store. Thankfully, all masked. Employees and customers were shoulder to shoulder while passing each other. It appeared as though distancing was not important to the majority of people in the store. I left the store without purchasing anything as it was not enforcing guidelines or encouraging a safer flow of shopper traffic. 😭

Who writes a review of a supermarket? Well, they deserve it! Bow Street Market is such a quaint supermarket complimenting the town of Freeport in every which way.

Wonderful whole foods like supermarket. Great fresh and healthy food products. Sandwiches and hot food to go daily.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Looks like the choices of alcohol are abundant. Other products are much like any other grocery store.

Amazing butcher shop and huge liquor selection. Always has the staples I need, but its a bit cramped.

We were camping and needed a few things the campground staff recommended this store. It was so fun! It was a small market but felt amazing. It had variety, fresh fish, fresh pizza, fresh salads and more. There was a large liquor selection as well with a woman roaming around offering to help when needed. On our way out a pizza had just come out of the oven, it looked so good we bought it. It was amazing. This is a great market. Enjoy! 🥕

Bow st Market has a good selection of every day groceries. It really shines in a few areas. Great selection of fresh meats and fish. Their deli is top notch. I enjoy exploring the wine, beer and spirits sections. They have quite a few bottles that most regular grocery stores wouldnt have. Finally, staff is friendly and very helpful.

Local favorite. I am a vegetarian, they have a great selection of fresh veggies and fruits. Also I love their local goods like coffee and sauces. My partner is a carnivore, their butcher shop is one of the best in Maine. Their wine and beer cellar is amazing, they choose their collections carefully. So everything is so good. We always take a detour to shop there, totally worth the trip.

There are few places on the planet like Bow Street Market! Delighted that its near me. The food choices are fantastic, fresh and of high quality. The people who work/run the market are friendly and accommodating. Clean space. Offers healthy, gluten free, etc options. Their flour less chocolate torte is to die for!

Small market, but big on character. Carrying a large selection of local products. Vegetables, fruits and artisan breads, milk and milk products, as well as local raised and processed beef, pork and chicken. Organic, free range, grass fed. Their meat and deli counter are second to none. The best!

Med sized market with many vegan choices, real butchers, extensive wine selections, nice selection of veggies. Pastry was unique with types to choose from. Nice coffee selections and has a grinder available for customer use. Easy to locate.

Very nice market. The tight spaces can be forgiven due to the vast number of brands and varieties of products they carry. This is an upscale market but prices are reasonable. Not your average grocery store.

First off i love to come here for lunch. I work in the area and come here frequently. Recently the sandwiches i order have has a different bread than advertised. Steak bomb comes with ciabatta turkey baguette comes on...you guessed it a baguette. This is apparently not the case anymore despite being listed as such. That is by definition false advertising and a disappointment to say the least. The new bread is a oversized hotdog roll.

Apparently, when a member of the medical community who shops here goes to members of management with concerns about how some employees arent following state guidelines regarding precautionary measures during COVID-19, their Customer Service Manager will use snark, derision, and condescension instead of customer service skills - and then use her husband who is fighting cancer as validation for being correct in her approach.As a cancer-fighting member of the Freeport Community and a seasoned and trained marketer, I have to call a hard stop on shopping here.Im sorry, but if theyre going to allow this type of treatment to stand towards members of the community who work in the medical field and raised VALID concerns, then I cannot, in good faith, expect them to have MY best interests in mind.Not to mention that this is the 100% WRONG approach when trying to regain ground in a post-COVID economy. If there is one thing weve all learned during this very trying time, is that we have options. And I will exercise my option to discontinue shopping here.ETA: And theyll respond with that blanket boilerplate statement while their customer service managers verbally berate concerned customers on social media. So - yeah, expect THAT.

Bow Street Market is an amazing place to visit. A local independent grocery store that strives to have as many local products as possible. The meat case is huge and full of choices and the produce has always been the freshest Ive had. There is always an employee available to help you decide or find any beer/wine/liquor that youd like. Plus the fresh made sandwiches and burgers are delicious! Bow Street Market helps out customers with special orders, including ordering any keg that is available to them. This is a must for locals and tourists alike.

Expensive but its the only place I can find skirt steak on a moments notice.

Bow St Market has always been a favorite of ours in the many years we have vacationed in Freeport, Maine. From morning coffee and sweets, to hot or cold lunch selections, to delicious meats, fish and vegetables for dinner, everything is perfectly displayed and easy to locate in the intimate and friendly store. Aside from the yummy selections, their wine and liquor section holds some of the finest and tastiest liquors. A great choice of Maine brewed and distilled beverages. Bow St is a gem that everyone wishes they had in their town. Love it!!!
